So… I have this little thing I did where I, when I can, reference fandoms I'm in, but mostly referenced Ninjago. Here are the instances I did:
Tumblr media
(Neon is partially ionized Plasma & Chlorine is poisonous)
Tumblr media
Our teacher said we can label them with our own letters, so…
Tumblr media
Not really that heavily, but the blue & orange is referencing Jay & Cole, the green dot is Lloyd/Liu, the pink & grey is Miyo, and the red is Kai.
Tumblr media
And just recently:

RMA HEADCANONS PART 1
Just thought about some RMA headcanons after reading their wiki fandom and here's what I got:
•Kuga likes to swim.
•Rex is 18.
•Pala is actually very good at cooking.
•Rex's full name is Rexidan meanwhile Kali's full name is Kalia.
•Toru and Rose were Rex's childhood friends.
•Manus was actually named after his grandfather, who had ruled over the seven tribes before the revolution.
•The Leo siblings used to being very close. However, after Manus was crowned king their relationship started to strain as Manus became more and more obsessed with the power of the Force Rings. After the events of the final episode of season 2, they started to rebuild their relationship.
•As a toddler, Rex would always mistake his name for Rexy and would demand anyone who called him Rex to call him that. Kali, Toru and (in rare cases) Manus would sometimes bring it up or call him that just to annoy him.
•Miyo used to work with a team during missions a few years ago before joining the Running Man Championship. She thought of them as her best friends until one day, while on a mission it was revealed that they were actually spies working against Metronome. She tried to talk to them and asked them why they were doing this but she ended up having to fight them and was seriously injured and left for dead. After this, she became a loner and refused to be attached to anybody in fear of being betrayed as before. That is... before joining the Running Man.

Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon or My happy marriage Ep4:
M gosh this episode was a rollercoaster. First crying because of sadness, then because of anger and then because of happiness. IT´S ENOUGH!!! No more crying ( i say but I know i will cry again)
Tumblr media
I really love how they play with the colors in this anime. <3 It´s always so perfect and shows us Miyos emotions in another way without many words.
Tumblr media
I love that she tries to come out more and now she wants to gift him something back for his comb he gave to her. It takes courage and self confidence to take this step and I´m so proud of her. <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
XD I really love how he worries about her. And he doesn´t see her as a child, more like... she is important to him, so he doesn´t wanna see her getting hurt anymore.
Tumblr media
It´s nothing important here but I really love his clothes. Like really. <3
Tumblr media
Okay, tbh I had a lot of screenshots of this scene but I decided to use only one. Because first I do not wanna infect my post with her character. (my posts should be more positive lol) Her meeting in the manga raged me so much but seeing it in the anime was on another level. Do you know the feeling when you are so angry that you feel relaxed and tired but in your head you think: "Omg she should just..."???? Because this was my reaction. She is such a poor damn bitch. Poor, you asked. Well... her entire life revolves around Miyo although she doesn´t like her... more like she hates her, so she wishes her every bad thing. Then she doesn´t wanna have her in her life but then all she can think about is, how Miyo is and what bad things she witnessed in her new home. So she is obsessed with her big sister and this is so sick. Her fucking ugly smile while she talks to her sister and assumes, because Miyo has her used clothes on, that nobody cares about her and she is abandoned again. Her face says it all. Like girl... you are a damn psychopath. It´s always so surprising to me that people can hate a person so much, run around and say: "Oh I don´t care what happens to them!" and then they care so much about it. XD I don´t get this logic tbh. But you need to have a really boring life if your entire hobby revolves around a person you hate so much. (yeah yeah it´s a fictional story and I know it) but the sad thing is (and oh boy this is why I love this story so much) these characters are not exaggerated. They are out there and I love to see them in a story. Btw (because I really do not wanna talk about these bitches anymore in this post) I do not care when people will use her as a puppet to get Miyo. I will not feel sad about it. Maybe all these people will bite each other off, that would be the best solution tbh.
And also the scene in which she sees Miyos finance (Koudou-san) the first time is so ugly. Yes, she is right "he is beautiful" but this is the only thing she sees about him, so she is head over heels. This is another difference between her and Miyo. Miyo doesn´t see only the beauty in humans or things. She likes to have deep connection to them. While this bitch only sees the beauty in it and is only searching for her own advantage. This is her life, this is how she was raised and this her only goal because she likes to play this kinda role.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
YES!!! This my man. Okay no... he is Miyos man, I´m sorry. XD But I like him so much. Go and tell them. He is so brave and it´s so good that he visited them and showed them how much he cares about Miyo. It was about time if you ask me. They really thought they could throw her out of the house like trash and she would be out of their life for eternity. But naaahhhhh at the end of the day we can all say "Thank you" to them that they abandoned her because she found a new warm home. On the other hand they should get punished for everything they did to her. So it was a wonderful move of him to point out that he knows everything what they did to Miyo. He knows about her abusement, he knows it and he won´t be silent about it. Because in the end he isn´t a cold and brutal man. He stands for respect and justice.
Tumblr media
It´s the last thing they can do and yet they have to think about it. I really wanna puke on this shitty family. But in their eyes they did nothing wrong and everything was for a reason. It´s always the case that these type of people do not see the crimes they did.
Tumblr media
The thing I said in the last post about self hatred (or was the post before that? I don´t know but I pointed it out somewhere). This is the perfect example. Everybody is giving her the fault for everything, so she starts believing it and hates herself for being like that. Psychological abusement and it´s not easy to come out of it. It´s important to have people around her who give her back her self confidence she has lost, but it will take some time. And little situations like that can throw her back in her black dark room in which she sits and can´t escape. I really really like how they pictured it and described it because this is one of the many things how you behave and feel if you have self hatred. There are many more and every human is experiencing another situation but we can all agree that they feel trapped and lost.
Tumblr media
I love it that many more people are coming to Miyo and try to help her. Also her present for Kudou is so beautiful. <3 Also it was a very good move to invite the maid who was on Miyos side while had to live in this abusing family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JUST SAY YOU LOVE HER!!!!! XDDDD Nah it´s okay, I can wait a little bit longer. And I love that they take small steps instead of one big step. It´s totally okay for me that they take their time. <3 Because I can appreciate every warm feeling they share, no matter how small they seem. So to ask her to stay with him in this big house, is really wonderful. A person is opening their arms to invite Miyo and say: "It´s okay if you don´t have powers. You are more than that and I really like you with or without it." (aawwww I love it so much <3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And to end my long post, I will show you these two blushing. Awwwww ... I´m too single for this anime, but It´s so wonderful. :D GIVE ME MORE!!!!

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 23 Review - Dungeon Raid
The second exam is about getting to the bottom of an unexplored dungeon! In all honesty, I love roaming around dungeons, so seeing these mages explore them like how one would in RPGs got the gamer in me excited! I relate so much to Himmel when it comes to dungeons because it’s always more exciting to see what a floor has before going down to the next floor! Sometimes, I can find extremely helpful items if I explore every unlooked corner!
Tumblr media
Because the requirement is for the participant to reach the dungeon, it doesn’t matter if someone goes in alone or with others as long as they reach the bottom. Some people go in on their own while others are grouped up. Frieren and Fern go in together with Sense, the proctor, tagging along. Wirbel’s group go in together. It’s implied that Land and Ubel go in together. Kanne and Lawine go in together. This leaves Denken with his group and two more people. Methode and Lange group together with them and tread the dungeon. I do like seeing everyone’s different approach when it comes to a dangerous dungeon. Frieren likes to see what it has to offer. Some are pragmatic and prefer less risk while others want to group with familiar faces. The only way to fail the exam, other than dying, is to use the golem Sense provides
I do like the different approaches to dungeon raiding. Denken and a few others are pragmatic and try to be as cautious as possible. Then, there’s Frieren who walks around as if she’s the most seasoned dungeon explorer (which she is) and still gets caught up in mimic traps. I think the funniest part about all of this is that before Frieren gets caught in the mimic trap, Richter and Denken talk about how there wouldn’t be anyone foolish or stupid to fall for simple tricks like mimics, and then Frieren, the main character and the most OP mage in the story, falls for it. Why does she do this? It’s because mimic detection spells are 99% accurate, but she seeks out the 1% in hopes that it contains a rare grimoire. She’d be a gacha whale if she lived in the modern era.
As an RPG enthusiast, I love seeing people explore every nook and cranny and fight all sorts of monsters. Seeing that there are replicas of the participants make the dungeon raid even more difficult. I loved the scene of Denken’s group fighting Replica Laufen. The way the real and the copy go at it with their staffs was really good animation. Also, I feel bad for Denken’s group because they legit ran into the most OP replica of them all: Replica Frieren; his group is already down one person due to Lange using the golem to escape a spike trap.
Oh and two new voice actors were revealed for two characters. Methode is voiced by Reina Ueda. I’m familiar with her role as Miyo from My Happy Marriage and Mayu from Wonderful Precure. I didn’t expect to hear her voice a hot older lady and be good at it; she should do more. There’s also Taito Ban as Ton, the guy who went in by himself. He’s the voice actor for Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling. I guess there’s a reason why he went in by himself in a dungeon; let’s just hope he doesn’t run into any statues with creepy smiles.
Watching all of this just makes me want to play an RPG. Man, I haven’t played games in a long while. Frieren gives off that RPG vibe that I miss playing at times. What RPG franchise is your favorite? I love the Tales series, but their dungeons in recent installments have been very subpar… What are your thoughts on this episode?

If there’s one thing I very much like about the Running Man Animation show, its the character designs and how it oozes out of said characters. You can learn a character’s personality and even their relationships just by looking at them. I want to focus on the personality their rooms have, assuming they designed it themselves.
Liu’s room has a bunch of posters plastered on the walls to show his enthusiasm in participating in the Running Man Championship and his general upbeat attitude. His desk is also a small workshop for his inventions. Its neat and tidy except for the desk.
Gai’s room shares the same aesthetic as one would expect from a ninja. On his desk there seems to music gadgets. This is a reference to the fact that Gai’s real-life counterpart Gary, a former member of the Running Man show, makes music. The giant statue in his room is where his brothers hide. There’s also seems to be monkey bars for him and his brothers to move around.
Miyo’s room is noticeably barren compared to the others, but it makes sense as her goal was to spy on Charming Gold and any distractions must be eliminated. She has this big vase on her desk, but I don’t know what it is.
Kuga’s room has a similar style to Gai’s, but this one is more rugged. He’s room is literally his training ground, and it has little personal touch from him. Other than what seems to be paintings tucked away in the corner and a small desk with a Bars tapestry above it. Kuga has some weaponry in his room for some reason, which I found odd as we had never seen a member of the Bars tribe use weapons as far as I know. He’s pillow also seems to be made out of wood, which I just found odd. The way he positioned himself while he was sleeping suggest a rugged character from him.
Lonky’s room screams of royalty and vanity. With elegant tiles and furniture, including his very own massage chair that takes up huge amounts of electricity. There also seems to be a painting or picture of himself. The way Lonky sleeps is unimposing coming from a prince, but I like the small worldbuilding detail of his pillows, which are long to accomodate the Giraf tribe’s long necks.
Pala’s room is full various kinds of herbs and books. He is a scholar after all, and the greatest herbalist. Although, his books aren’t even in the shelves properly making his room slightly cluttered so it shows that he’s a little scatterbrained, but overall its very cozy. The way Pala sleeps is neat because he’s sleeping on his back facing forward, and since he’s a member of the Empa tribe he has horns and you can’t sleep on your sides with it. Pala is also hugging his staff since we know how its really important to him.
Popo’s room is also rather barren, other than the pillows and boxes he has in abundance. Admittingly, this has me stumped. The boxes seems to have came from the stuff he ordered, as shown when he was opening one to get a card. Although, some boxes don’t seem to had been opened and could have been done to show how Popo is materialistic, as he originally wanted fame and fortune. The pillows are possibly there to have came from his cutesy get-up, not to mention he’s sometimes acts like a spoiled child. The way he sleeps is also huddled up, a common trait among cute characters from what I’ve seen, and probably because he doesn’t want to get cold. Popo is seen using a sleeping bag and a heater because he canonically hates the cold.
I would had done Charming Gold’s room, but it feels more like a throne room than his own personal room. I did noticed the decoration style Charming Gold’s has in his place is similar to the ones he were seen in his flashbacks around 1,000+ years ago. For someone who likely killed his own tribe to near extinction, he still has the same taste.
Anyway, thank you for reading my analysis as an aspiring character designer!

Two cents of ramblings on: “Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon” (Anime)...
...and why I think people might enjoy it (if they don't expect too much).
GENERAL DATA
Title: Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚 ‘My Happy Marriage’)
Media: Anime television series
Adaptation of: Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚 ‘My Happy Marriage’) Shōjo light novel by Agitogi Akumi
Genre: Fantasy, Romance
Directed by: Kubota Takehiro
Written by: Satō Ami, Ōnishi Takahito, Toyoda Momoka
Studio: Kinema Citrus Co., Ltd.
Original run: July 5, 2023 – September 20, 2023
Episodes: 12
WARNINGS: There’s bullying and abuse in quite large amount.
Tumblr media
The plot in short: In an alternative version of the Taishō era in which magic and spirits called Grotesqueries (異形, Igyō), are real Saimori Miyo, who was born without supernatural talent, is abused and forced into an existence of servitude by her family and, especially, by her stepmother and stepsister. The family then decides to have her marry Kudō Kiyoka, rumored to be a cruel and abusive man. Her husband to be, however, proves to be a good person and they slowly start to fall in love.
HOW DID I STUMBLE INTO IT
Commercials mostly. They showed the anime had a really pretty graphic and the plot seemed mysterious and dramatic enough to interest me.
THINGS YOU MIGHT WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE TACKLING THIS
The anime series covers only the first 2 volumes of the light novel series. Things are cut or simplified so to fit them into the new media but, what’s more, while the series gives a sense of conclusion to the romance, the plot regarding the mystery concerning the Grotesqueries and other things are left completely unfinished. So if you were here for that, prepare yourself to feel disappointed.
MY TWO CENTS ON IT
THE SHORT VERSION… or what I can tell you about this while trying to keep spoilers at the very bare minimum.
Opening & ending: The anime uses as opening “Anata no Soba ni.” (貴方の側に。 ‘By Your Side.’) by Riria and as ending “Vita Philosophica” (ヰタ・フィロソフィカ) by Itō Kashitarō. The opening is very pretty, from the sweet music to the beautiful images which match well enough with the music. I liked how young Miyo went to old Miyo but found particularly cute to see the two cherry petal overlapping as to symbolize Miyo and Kiyoka’s love. The ending is equally pretty, although it has a rougher edge and the images are deliberately moving in a stilled way. Neither is so impressive you’ll be amazed but both are really pleasant to watch and cute.
The plot: The plot of the romance overlap with mysteries regarding the Grotesqueries, Miyo’s mother’s family and Miyo’s lack of power and the plotting of people seeking power. While the ideas are all interesting… in the end the anime focuses mostly on the romance, maybe because since it wasn’t going to cover all the volumes, it just couldn’t focus on the rest. The romance plot is very cute and sweet so if you’re into love stories you might totally enjoy it.
The characters: They’re cute, pretty and you might like them but they felt very one-dimensional to me. They’re either very, very nice or they’re very, very bad.
Tumblr media
The visual: Oh, I love it. Everything is so pretty and detailed. And those beautiful kimono the characters use… oh, that’s the best part, really.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The musical background: The music is very nice and sweet. Evan Call made lovely compositions for this anime. They can be relaxing and giving a good atmosphere.
Overall: The fact that the characters are so one dimensional and the mystery plots are a bit neglected due to the story stopping earlier on are two important downsides… but the love story is so lovely and cute it’s still a very sweet series to watch.
THE LONG VERSION… or what I loved and hated about this with, of course, TONS OF SPOILERS.
Miyo and Kiyoka are a couple overwhelmingly cute, with Miyo not properly appreciating herself (she goes so far as to think she has no right to be happy because she has no supernatural abilities) and Kiyoka trying to act cold but then slowly warming up and becoming protective and Miyo also slowly gaining confidence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also love Tatsuishi Kōji, who is forced to become the fiancé of Saimori Kaya, Miyo’s abusive stepsister despite clearly loving Miyo. He’s such a good, kind person and he’s always striving to improve himself, you can’t help but love him.
And other characters came out as cute and lovable.
The problem comes with the characters who aren’t meant to be lovable. They’re just represented as so evil and disgusting it’s like watching “Cinderella” and having to deal with the stepmother and stepsisters but without the fun parts of the Disney movie (well, the story has quite a lot in common with Cinderella, to be honest). The bad people is just bad, overwhelmingly so (I mean, not only her family abused her but they even threatened to kill her if she weren’t to turn down Kiyoka’s proposition!), and this generates such a sharp contrast with how instead the nice people is just SO VERY NICE the story really feel split into good characters and evil characters, which ends up making characters look too fictional. In truth the good characters are a bit more than just good as they’re more developed than the evil ones, so it’s possible that the evil ones came out as just evil because there was no time to develop them but it still feels like the story is presenting an overly simple good vs bad view of people, fitting for a child story more than this genre of story.
Long story short, I think developing more the antagonists would have benefitted the story.
The whole supernatural abilities with the Grotesqueries and the bad guy in the shadow part of the plot is also way too neglected, which is a pity because it’s actually interesting but… it feels really sidelined to the love story. It still exists and you can still enjoy it but… it’s just too little.
So to sum it up this is a cute, cute, cute love story one can definitely enjoy, but it would have benefitted from having the other parts of the story developed more. Still, I think it’s pretty and enjoyable enough so it’s nice to watch it.
And now let’s end this with an AMV about this series I recommend watching: Eyes off you

Summer 2023 Anime Roundup
Tumblr media
Anime of the Season – My Happy Marriage
I had been looking forward to this supernatural-tinged romance set in Taisho-era Japan ever since it was announced in 2022, and it did not disappoint me in the least. It follows a young woman who’s been sent to live with a fiancé without her input after a deeply traumatic childhood marked by physical and emotional abuse spearheaded by her spiteful stepmother and apathetic father. Despite his reputation in society as a cold, callous man who drives women away, her fiancé hides a kind, loyal personality behind a stern front and becomes instrumental to her recovery, encouraging her at every turn to stand tall on her own two feet.
The first half could be a little frustrating at times as the traumatized female lead struggled to speak up for herself and take up space, but that only makes her eventual growth into a more assertive woman all the more satisfying. Her voice actress does a fantastic job of slowly increasing the volume and strength of her voice over the course of the series as Miyo gains confidence. Adding to this performance is a beautiful soundtrack by Evan Call that blends perfectly with the dramatic story and gorgeous backgrounds full of traditional architecture surrounded by blooming flowers. It’s rare to get a joseimuke anime with this high-quality production, and I loved every minute of it. 9/10
Tumblr media
First Runner-Up – Bungo Stray Dogs S5
At the beginning of summer, I hadn’t watched any of this series past season 1, but the hype got to me and I picked the series back up halfway through this season. Thank god I did, because this season was incredibly good, with well-animated action, gripping suspense, and a resolution that was both world-altering and intensely personal. 8/10
Tumblr media
Second Runner-Up – Undead Murder Farce
A sardonic half-oni man teams up with an immortal severed head and her fierce bodyguard/maid to travel around Europe to pursue the people who stole her body, while solving mysteries involving monsters along the way. The mystery writing was a little uneven and exposition heavy, but the playful dynamic between the characters was magnetic. 8/10
Horimiya: The Missing Pieces – This season consists of the scenes cut from the first adaptation of the manga and lays them out thematically, rather than chronologically like the manga. Taken as a comedic slice of life, I think it works really well, as the vignettes can just sit and be amusing without feeling like they’re stalling for time to avoid ending the series. 8/10
Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts – For the first time in almost a decade, we got an anime for a Hana to Yume fantasy romance manga, and this complete adaptation of the story totally hit the spot. Our sacrifice turned queen-to-be was delightfully feisty, and our beast king was perfectly protective and encouraging. 7/10
Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero – I went into this expecting a simple comedy on the ecchi side about a down-and-out hero and the demon lord he defeated ten years ago, and I got that, but I also got a really well-written fantasy story with complex antagonists and a delightful little romance with real chemistry between the titular characters. 7/10
Bleach: TYBW Part 2 – This part of the new season was right back to the problems I had with the original run of the series. The visuals are great, with stylish character designs, nice saturated colors, and smooth animation, but the story relies on stringing together fights between side/minor characters more than it should. 7/10
BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! – I don’t generally watch female idol shows, but everyone’s praise got to me, and I ended up checking this out at the end of the season. The character drama is excellent for the most part, and the music is good, but the 3D CG animation was not my favorite, and Saki felt poorly written just to seed a sequel season. 7/10
MIX S2 – This is the spiritual successor to the 80s series Touch, but it’s loosely related, not a direct sequel, so it stands alone just fine. This high school baseball series has the Adachi standard emotional sucker punch to the gut along with a generous helping of dry humor from its large cast of likeable characters. 7/10
Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari S2 – If this was better animated, this would be a solid shounen action series with a romance subplot. The writing left nothing to complain about, with a large cast of well-rounded characters and a satisfying romance between two characters who actually suit each other. 7/10
Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Part 2 – What a complicated series this is to talk about. The art and animation were both pretty good, and the story was at least trying to be deliberate in how it addressed the inequality in its world, but I’m not sure it handled the slavery issue consistently. 7/10
The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior – People are starting to complain about all these villainess adaptations, but I’m enjoying this trend of female main characters working to avoid a disastrous end by gathering allies around them. I just wish the visuals for this particular anime weren’t so insipid. 7/10
Edens Zero S2 – This season felt a bit more coherent than the first, being split into two main arcs instead of several smaller ones, and introduced some genuinely tough opponents with tricky abilities, while also revealing secrets about the main crew. 6/10
Sweet Reincarnation – This reincarnation isekai does very little to distinguish itself from the rest of the crowded field of isekai, but it didn’t have an RPG menu and the pastry chef turned precocious lesser noble didn’t push Japanese food on the people of the other world, so I kept watching. 6/10
The Misfit of Demon King Academy S2 – Season 1 of this series was such a fun genre-savvy romp, but this season was a tedious Proper Noun fantasy that was extremely confusing and basically no fun to watch. 5/10
