Question for runner friends
When you run, do you use a belt? Backpack/hydration pack?? Where do you keep your keys and phone?
I run on a treadmill at my gym (with rolling hills and elevation to mimic outdoors) because it works best for my schedule and keeps me consistent - but I want to run outside. and to be honest I get SERIOUS judgment passed on me by other runners that I run on a treadmill.
One of the things holding me back is that I want to be able to carry my phone, keys, and pepper spray.
Also, it gets dark earlier and it’s going to be rainy. I don’t know how to prepare for this.
Help?

Soooo, fellow runners/marathoners out there...any tips on training for first marathon? I decided last week to try training for the donna marathon... which left me pretty much less than 8weeks to train. While i can cover half marathon with or without training, marathon is on a totally different level, IMO. I know there's lot more mental fortitude that's involved. Also, the body will pay a bigger toll... and I felt it a bit of that this morning after i completed 17 miles (longest I've ever covered to date) on a whim. My cardio was great at a slow steady pace, but my feet and left hip flexor/knee were bothering me by 16th mile. Any tips or advices on how i can overcome this physical limitation? Any conditioning recommendation?
