Rusty Bones era was truly incredible for Foolish freaks like me.

I think its the combination of him playing a game he had no knowledge in for the first time, being trusted as a leader, the time limitations of the event, AND the amount of people he haven't met before on the server. Yeah we joke about him being unprofessional streamer but when it matters he takes his obligations seriously and he truly locked in during that event. Hours of gameplay 7 days in a row, clocking 14, 10, 12 hours a day (except first and last days for 6-7 hours). That event was very big and Foolish did great on a meta level of staying out of drama cuz bb there was a lot.

Foolish has been a leader in different contexts before that, but this one was the first where he was truly a ruler of a Kingdom.

He had such great balance of rp players and pro players and pvp players. He allowed everyone to shine, he praised everyone who helped him become a rust player, he genuinely enjoyed different aspects of that game and he genuinely tried his best at being a just, fierce yet humble king. Despite his character not expecting or wanting the amount of responsibility that was thrusted upon him, especially since 2 out of 3 of his other rulers rejected any responsibility at all. (i think quackity showed up maybe once, tried to be a dictator and throw foolish off the throne (people defended foolish here btw btw) , and left LMAO. And miyoung just preffered to play with friends and at her own pace, saying outright she is not a leader. Tina was a leader and she did her duties but Foolish was a face of the kingodm and more recognised because he did a lot of diplomacy) And people joined on their own, the only thing that was predetermined is each kingdom had 4 rulers, that's it. By the end Rusty Bones had 94 people, while obv active memebers were way less, those who were main forces were very adamant on their loyalty.

I just!!!! Rusty Bones were so unique!!!! And so so wonderful and fun and chaotic and under dog and fighters and artists and just loyal to the bone. SO much happend during that week and all of it was incredibly entertaining. I don't remember a lot but i do know the feelings it gave me while i was watching it. It was great!!!!

Oh and btw, Rusty Kingdoms won in the end B)

the picture hjune tweeted under his appreciation post got me thinking about r!foolish and his failed musician lore 😭

like foolish was meant to be a musician, an artist that created with song, but was forced to be a warrior and a king at a far too young age

because of that though, he led a kingdom where his warriors were allowed the freedom he never got as a child

they were allowed to be artists, jesters, leaders, whatever they desired to be while foolish kept his role as king until he knew he was no longer needed and peace was finally obtained

Rusty Bones truly was a kingdom that thrived way more than people expected

Kingdom Hearts IV predictions: Radiator Springs/Dinoco Rust-eze Racing Center/Fireball Beach/Thunder Hollow/Thomasville/Florida International Speedway (Cars)

Takes place after Cars 3.

Is visited by Sora, who enters the world as a 2017 Nissan 370Z before visits to Luigi’s Casa Della Tires and Ramone’s House of Body Art end with him modified into a next-gen race car sponsored by Dinoco (with Tex’s blessing) and with Cruz’s number.

It isn’t combat based. Missions include keeping up with McQueen’s top speed by racing down Radiator Springs’ main street, learning how to turn right to go left at Willy’s Butte, driving backwards with Mater, keeping up with Cruz’s top speed on Fireball Beach, avoiding pushy competitors with the Thunder Hollow challengers, and practicing with Cruz at Thomasville, culminating in the Piston Cup race at Florida International Speedway, where the objective is to win against Jackson Storm.

It’s set during Cruz’s first Piston Cup racing season, so McQueen still has Doc’s colors and spends the Florida race as Sora’s crew chief. Also, Ramone wears his “Saludos Amigos” body paint from the epilogue of Cars 3.

As Sora finishes his story, Mater is certainly unhappy with Xehanort’s actions forcing Sora’s hand. “That dad-gum Xehanort,” he says angrily. Extra points if Sora doesn’t get to the part where Xehanort is dead, then Sarge gets in his face and demands him to teach Xehanort a lesson when he gets back in a militaristic manner. “Is that understood,” Sarge yells. Then Sora tries to correct him, but gets cut off and asked again, “Is that understood,” and has to respond, “Sir, yes, sir!”

Of course, during the top speed races, Luigi is the one to signal the race to begin. In the Radiator Springs race, Sora’s top speed is tracked by Sheriff’s speed radar, and on Fireball Beach, it’s via Cruz’s personal assistant, Hamilton.

If you fail the “Turn Right to go Left” mission, Sora goes flying into the bed of cacti, and Mater fishes him out.

Finn McMissile, Holley Shiftwell, and the World Grand Prix racers are seen tuning in to the Florida race.

I wanted the player character in this world to be Kairi just so Storm can feel the embarrassment of losing to not one, but two “costume girls”.

The Piston Cup race is announced as a 500-lap race, but no game developer is that malicious to force the player to race 500 laps around an oval, so they’d take after the first Cars game and make it twelve laps with the sun slowly lowering throughout the race.

I'm going to lose it how did foolish manage to tie himself being a rust noob into his character.

Every time foolish crosses bodies of water he keeps drowning or almost drowning as he forgets to check if his character is breathing or not, and to explain this r!foolish states this is because he never learnt how to swim as his father, the the old king never allowed him to learn. In this implying in this that he might've been incredibly sheltered. This could also be extended to explain why he also doesn't know many of the other rust fundamentals. Because his character was never taught or never had the opportunity to learn.

This might be r!foolishs first exposure to most of the world, and with the way foolish is playing it adds a lot to his character!! With this context it becomes so endearing to watch him learning the basics from trausi and others, enthusiastically throwing himself into something new that in character he'd potentially been forbade from his entire life. Especially when we know r!foolish actually never wanted to become king and yet is so dedicated to his kingdom regardless and learning how to serve them best.

He's a musician not a king, but became the leader his people needed anyway.

Once Upon a Time, Twenty Years Later

Yang sat down at the café in Argus, waiting for Weiss to show up. Almost twenty years, and she's never missed a meeting for tea and pastries. But yet, Yang couldn't help but feel uneasy. Despite keeping contact, they have grown appart so much.

She looked at her prosthetic arm. The finely varnished oak was a gift from Blake for their tenth anniversary. It had the logos of the entire Team RWBY engraved on fire on the forearm.

Sighing as she kept waiting, Yang thought back to the war with Salem, and with some guilt, can't help but feel nostalgic.

"Lost in your thoughts?" Weiss called, making her cane hit the floor to catch Yang's attention.

"Weiss," Yang got up calmly, hugging her friend.

They sat down as Weiss ordered for them, knowing full well the mix of coffee and whiskey Yang had ordered every single time, as well as a generous helping of spicy fried bits.

"To our poisons," Weiss cheered, lifting her own tea to meet Yang's mug. "So, how is everyone doing?"

"Well, Blake sends her regards," Yang shrugged.

"Still living on Patch Island?" She asked, getting a silent nod in reply. "And Raven still lives with you?"

"With dad," Yang rolled her eyes. "They keep trying to make it work, then breaking up, then making amends." She sighed. "They're worse than Ren and Nora."

"Speaking of, they expect you to visit them this time." Weiss took another sip, closing her eyes to better enjoy the infusion's taste. "They're still sore you didn't your last time here."

"I know, I know," she looked down in guilt. "It's just I lost Jaune's track, and I didn't want to meet them emptyhanded."

"And you found him this time?" She leaned over, eyebrow lifted in curiosity and worry.

"Anima, he keeps traveling." Yang scratched the shoulder over her prosthetic.

"You sound worried."

There was a pause before Yang took a larger sip of her beverage.

"He's wearing the armor again," she finally sighed in defeat.

"No..."

"Found him in mom's old bandit territories. Apparently, the bandits took exception to him preventing their raids."

Weiss immediately reached for her cane, activating the rotating chamber of her old weapon.

"Calm down," Yang raised her hook. "He's more than fine." Weiss retracted Myrtenaster back into a cane. "When I got to him, the camp was basically destroyed, and he was tending them."

"Tending...?"

"Yeah." She snickered. "Imagine this big scary guy, full plate armor, bastard sword in back, and all gently tending the guys who just tried to kill him." She sighed again, this time sitting back on her chair and finishing her drink. "He's still that boy from Beacon wanting to be a hero."

"But the armor." Weiss inquired.

"I didn't address it, and he neither." Yang leaned in, resting her elbow on the table and her head on her hand. "Not gonna have that discussion for the millionth--" She picked up her friend's worry face. "He'll be fine. We dropped the bandits on the next town, and they all broke a party for him. Guy has gotten famous."

"Still..." She was unsure. "How about Ruby?"

"Getting harder to track too, but not that much." Yang raised her hook to the waitress to ask for another drink. "I just hopped by small towns until a Grimm happened. Not even a whole minute before the place was covered in rose petals and the Grimms thoroughly dismembered."

"Did you get her to talk this time?"

"Had to get into the fight for that," Yang lifted her left arm, revealing half of Ember Celica from under her sleeve. "I may be rusty, but It's like riding a bike."

"I wish she came to visit too." Weiss shook her head, looking more disappointed than worried.

"Me too." Yang thanked the waitress as she took another large sip of coffee and whiskey. "Dad and Blake haven't seen her in about a year by now."

"Same with dad," her friend admitted. "He always tenses up when the news talk about a Huntress."

"Oh?" Yang cracked a soft smile. "How's your stepdad?" She teased.

"As good as your uncle." Weiss rolled her eyes, but unable to hold back the laugh. "Qrow is fine," she said while coming down from laughing. "He and mom went on a vacation with Winter and Whitley."

"But not you?" Yang asked.

"I had to tend the Foundation..." She said. "It's always hard work, you know."

"I know you still have to be around your family too." Yang quickly glanced at her wedding band. "I know I do."

They stood in silence for a while, not wanting to restart the same discussion they have had so many times already.

"How is Oz?" Yang finally spoke.

"Living," Weiss sighed, finishing her tea. "He moved to Menagerie, saying he preferred the warmer climate anyways."

"You believed him?" Yang lifted her eyebrows.

"I believe he still needs to find himself," Weiss looked at the window, staring at the sea.

"Yeah, still figuring out who's who." She also looked at the sea, both contemplating the oddity that was their friend.

"That just leaves us with Emerald, who I guess still works for you."

"I keep saying she doesn't need to, and she always brings up my leg." Weiss frowns, looking down at her lap. "One of these days I will bash her with it."

"Oh, please call me if you do." Yang gently slapped the forearms of her prosthetic. "We can have a duel of wooden limbs."

"Oh, I actually upgraded mine." With a cheeky smile, Weiss lifted the rim of her dress, just enough to show her own prosthetic leg, made out of a pitch black obisian.

Yang whistled. "That looks expensive..."

"It was a gift, actually." Weiss let the dress fall over her leg again. "From Ash, of all people."

"Wait," Yang suddenly got up. "You finally got her to speak!"

"No," Weiss sighed, sadly. "But I was visiting the orphanage and telling Ren I may need a replacement for the wooden one. Next thing I know, she's waiting at the exit, with the whole leg already assembled and polished."

"But not a word?" She asked.

"Not even a grunt."

"I wish she knew we forgave her years ago." Yang shook her head, sitting down as if defeated.

"Ren says she knows," Weiss replied. "It's just she hasn't forgiven herself."

After that, the evening was quieter. The two former Huntresses simply enjoyed each other's company, promising to meet more often, but knowing this was the only pace either of them could manage.

Came the night, and Emerald picked them up, dropping Yang by the bullhead port, then driving Weiss to her home, at the shadow of the Polendina-Nikos Foundation.

From the distance, the small figure covered in red smiled at them, happy to know they were fine.
