I have this idea that Cinder might have tried to act “friendly” with Emerald, but since her only relationships since she was a child have been abusive (aside from the huntsman), she’s really bad at it.

For example, what she thinks is a lighthearted jab really hurts Emerald’s feelings, but Cinder just thinks her emotional abuse is a normal way to interact, and Emerald sucks at expressing her feelings since she's been taught to stay quiet and obey.

Edit: This description isn’t really correlated with the clip, I just thought of this on the fly.
