I made a post forever ago about thinking that merlin's purple shirt only appeared twice, but im watching s4 e1 and here it is!!! So now im tracking it, here are the purple shirt merlin episodes (will update/rb as i find more):

Travelers isn't my favorite episode. I really really don't like Larin, but it does have some of Sheppard's more iconic faces. They always make me laugh.

Tabula Rasa is one of those episodes that I love, but seem to forget that I love it until I rewatch it. I love Teyla and Ronon being the ones who save Atlantis. I love the military guys trying to follow orders they don't remember anymore. They're just trying. I love the scientists coming up with an escape plan. But most of all I love Ronon trying to reach through the memory loss to Sheppard and then shooting him. Also, I love Sheppard's plan to make sure they can return even if Lorne doesn't recognize him.

Missing while being a significant plot point episode isn't one of my favorites, but I appreciate getting to know Keller more, and it shows Teyla's more nurturing side rising up. I love how Teyla grows through the rest of Season 4 and into 5. She's not just a warrior woman, a leader, and the calm of the team. She's now finding out that she's also a mother. I love that they let her wrestle with that new responsibility without making her always right, a bump on a log, and acknowledging that she can't always be in the strike force anymore. I know none of that is in this episode, but I felt like she nurtured Keller, giving her strength and resolve and courage.

The Seer is great because we get Todd back. Yay Todd! And Woolsey who is ridiculous. I love that Todd has a sense of humor. I love that he's always playing some sort of chess game. I always find it sad that his faithful men die at the hands of other Wraith. I love that Todd sought out Sheppard. I love Keller in her quiet way making sure they weren't trying to turn the Seer into a science experiment. I love Sheppard having to remind Sam to do what she needs to do regardless of the visions. I love him in the chair ready to defend Atlantis. I love Sam not letting Woolsey's fear put them in jeopardy. He has yet to trust the team and Atlantis, but he will. I love dealing with the idea of seeing the future and how it can help or hinder depending upon how dependent you are on it.

Episode Descriptions:

Beyond the Sea: A death row inmate named Luther Lee Boggs claims that he is psychic and can lead Mulder to a serial killer in exchange for a lesser sentence of life in prison. The agents' roles are reversed in this episode, with Mulder doubting Boggs's claim and Scully believing him after she is told that she can communicate through him with her recently deceased father.

Fresh Bones: One morning, after two gruesome hallucinations, Private Jack McAlpin crashes his car into a tree that has a voodoo symbol drawn on it; the second death of a marine in two weeks that has featured that symbol. The marines in question were guarding a processing center for Haitian refugees, and when Mulder and Scully visit the center they find the deaths were not as unexpected as they seemed.

Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man: Mulder, Scully and Byers meet with Frohike, where he details what may have been Cigarette Smoking Man's real life.

Field Trip: The skeletonized remains of a young couple are found in the fields of North Carolina. When Mulder and Scully go to investigate, they find that a giant fungal life form releases an LSD-like drug into the air with spores, and then slowly digests its victims. Mulder and Scully fall into its trap and are not sure of what is reality and what is fantasy.

Brand X: While protecting a man due to testify against the Morley cigarette company, Skinner is horrified when the witness dies mysteriously. What the agents soon discover is that a new brand of cigarette has a dangerous secret.

Gwaine being the only one to check on merlin after gaius was kidnapped and framed to have been guilty of consorting with sorcerers, and by doing that he was able to give merlin a clue about gaius' whereabouts based off some red dirt with iron in it >>>>>>>>>

Mulder saying "nobody would kill you Frohike, you're like a little puppy dog" at the beginning of Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man is way more painful now knowing Frohike was supposed to die in this episode

Space: A mysterious force is sabotaging a space launch program which leads directly back to the commander of the team, who once claimed to have seen an alien in space while witnessing Mars from Earth orbit. The alien returns to Earth with him to torment him, and wreck his new space program.

Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man: Mulder, Scully and Byers meet with Frohike, where he details what may have been Cigarette Smoking Man's real life.

Bad Blood: While investigating bizarre exsanguinations in Texas, Mulder kills a teenage boy whom he "mistakes" for a vampire. Awaiting a meeting with Skinner, Mulder and Scully attempt to get their stories "straight" by relating to each other their differing versions of what happened during their investigation.

Babylon: When an art gallery that's showing potentially offensive artwork is bombed, Mulder and Scully seek some way to communicate with the comatose bomber in order to prevent a future attack. Scully seeks answers from neuroscience and Mulder from mysticism.

If Theo is in ep 9 or 10 of this season I will be absolutely shocked. I'll be so happy. I have my hopes up after seeing two other posts of Mabel wearing the same blue she wears with Theo behind the scenes. All of us theobel shippers are crazy and I'm glad we are.
