“Ambrose, what are you up to?” You asked suspiciously. You were heading off with a parcel for one of his aunts and had found him squirrelled away in one room. He looked up at you and grinned.
“Nothing to worry about.” His answer was quick and he immediately went back to his work after glancing at you. Deciding that it would probably be best to have some plausible deniability you hurried off and delivered the parcel.
“Oh thank you!” Hilda said when she saw you. She gave you a small package of handmade food and asked if you wouldn’t mind going back to Ambrose and delivering a food parcel and a box of ingredients. You agreed and headed back to find Ambrose. Though when you searched the Spellman house you couldn’t find anyone. There was a rather large and irritable black cat you hadn’t seen before which you patted on the head as you sat in the living room for a moment and tried to think where Ambrose could be.
“Do you know where he is?” You asked the cat who meowed deeply and stared at you. Blinking a few times and then looking closer you stared at the cat who cleared its throat.
“Look. I might have been doing something I shouldn’t have been.” Ambrose. The cat. Said. You screamed and threw a cushion at the cat who flopped off the end of the sofa and lay on its back. Sabrina ran in with Zelda close behind.
“What is it?” Zelda asked. She was already having a trying day with Sabrina and had hoped you and Ambrose would avoid getting into some kind of nonsense.
"Ambrose has been turned into a cat. I don’t know how." You answered and pointed at the cat who slithered out from under the cushion.
“It’s true.” He said defeatedly. Zelda stared at him and then tutted.
“Well don’t think you’re going to have a cat tree in my living room.” She turned on her heels and dragged Sabrina from the room. “We shall deal with you tomorrow.”
“What do we do?” You asked her. She paused in the doorway of the room and sighed.
“Perhaps Hilda has a book on cat care.” She offered and left with Sabrina. You looked down at Ambrose who was staring at his leg.
“Don’t lick yourself!” You groaned.
“I’ll do my best but it’s rather tempting.” Ambrose said quickly.

AN:To those who haven't or don't watch CAOS this isn't the right fanfic for you, but you're always welcome to read it. Some I do before we start, this fanfic takes place when the the Lubricalia Festival happens: Lupercalia was an ancient Roman annual festival held in mid February against evil spirits and to bring fertility. Also, no gender for reader was preferred so when you read this, you can decide if you want to read it with male or female reader.
Tumblr media
Drunken Lubricalia Festivities
It was the first night of the Lubricalia Festival at the Academy of the Unseen Arts you, and your wife, Zelda Spellman, are participating in this festival along with your niece Sabrina Spellman. "Zeldaa!" you say, "Do we have to celebrate Lubricalia, of all the festivities, why must we celebrate this odious festival?" "Because darling, to celebrate and honor all the witches and warlocks that came before us." Zelda says you roll your eyes clearly unhappy having to go "Watch that attitude, darling" you groan annoyed, Zelda looks at you with a stern look as always but she puts her hand on your cheek "Look, I know you don't want to celebrate Lubricalia, but just do it, for me?" Zelda lowers her tone to a seductive, almost pouty tone "Ugh! Fine, only for you." You say annoyed. Many hours later after preparation for the festival is completed all the students and staff at the academy and you and Zelda are in the wood ready to commence the first night of Lubricalia. "I have to what!?" You say in a shocked and possibly mad voice "Yes darling, you have to be only in your undergarments and let me run oil all over your body" Zelda says in the most casual tone "But-" you try to protest "But nothing, just sit back and relax while I do this." " Okay.... Fine" you pout " You brought the wine right??" "Of course indid, darling" Zelda says. Not even two seconds later you're already on your fifth glass of wine and drunk and flirt with Zelda "Hey, there beautiful, did anyone ever tell you you're easy on the eyes?" Zelda looks at you with an arches brow "Darling, are you drunk?" You flirt some more "Are you single?" Zelda says "No, I'm married" you cry "Damn it! Why is it always sthe super hot women that are married!?" Zelda says again "Darling, are you drunk?" "What, me? Pfft! No" Zelda then looks at you "Then say the alphabet backwards" you freeze for a second then respond "Z Y X W U R" " You're drunk." Zelda pinches the bridge of her nose "That's it were going home, and you're sleeping on the couch tonight" Zelda says coldly " Fine! We're not even married so I don't have to worry" You arrive back to the Spellman Mortuary and Zelda bathes you then puts you in your PJs and puts you on the couch for the night. The next day you wake up with a massive hangover and Zelda says upset "That's what you get for being drunk, darling!"

OMORI - Voice Actor Headcanons.
Tumblr media
While I haven’t exactly finished this game yet, I am close enough to the end and have met basically all the characters, so I think it’s time I got around to doing my good ol’ series of VA headcanons for a game that either doesn’t have one, or doesn’t have an English Dub.
This time we’re doing Omori, a game I started playing at the beginning of this year and have fallen in love with very very quickly. I’ve been through a very painful time of my life recently and this game helped me work through it letting me know that it doesn’t matter how I grieve, just that any way I can is correct.
And the way the characters work together in the game is also incredible, and I was eagerly awaiting to get to the point that I’m at so I could do a VA headcanons section for this. So before we get started, let me once again go two things.
This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.
Every major character in the games is included here, so there are HEAVY SPOILERS for the game’s main storylines. DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME OR DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED.
Without further ado, let’s get into this.

fic: Screw you, Spellman | sabrina spellman x draco malfoy
Tumblr media
❝ Sabrina is definitely not good at making friends (except that Spellman is not particularly sad about this), but she is doing well in her studies. It doesn't take much effort for her to take her well-deserved place among the best in Potions on a par with Malfoy. This fact causes him a wave of indignation and a new series of verbal taunts, but nothing can be done about it. Sabrina just smiles smugly at his words.
She understands that she has hurt his overblown ego. ❞

all things between (avatar universe)
Chapter 01 and 02
Pairing: Sabrina (OC) x Neteyam x Spider
Summary: In this thrilling adventure, Sabrina, a human girl, must survive the treacherous world of Pandora. With the help of her native friends and the other teenage human around Spider, Sabrina embarks on a journey to face the evil forces threatening the moon. Along the way, she meets new friends, falls in love and faces unimaginable dangers. As she struggles to save her friends and Pandora, Sabrina discovers that her courage, resilience and determination are her most potent weapons in the fight against the darkest forces. A captivating story of friendship, courage and the determination to fight against all odds, "All Things Between" is a must-read for all Avatar lovers. The year 2173 will bring not only Neteyam's 18th birthday and Sabrina's 19th but also a lot of chaos to the humans and the Na'vi of Pandora.
Enjoy your reading!
Tumblr media
The light came in before Sabrina was ready for it. She tossed and turned in bed, but she knew better than to pretend to be still asleep. Her father wouldn't say a thing — he loved her and pampered her very much — but the others wouldn't like it, especially the Na'vi.
As it was told her: it is a blessing to get accepted in their community, so you need to be thankful and be helpful, acting as a regular active part of their system. That meant walking up early and working her ass off.
"Morning, sunshine," Dr Patel said to Sabrina, for he was the only one left at the base home when she finally got up and changed.
Sabrina didn't even bother smiling and went straight to the kettle with the hot herb tea, a special recipe given by the Ometicayans. The other scientists did not like it much but drank it for lacking better options. Sabrina couldn't be sure, but she heard a rumour that coffee was the first thing to be over within the leftover supplies of RDA.
However, she liked the tea as much as the rest of the Ometicayans' food. She knew nothing better, or at least it was how her father put it. She was the second human born in Pandora — she never knew of Planet Earth except for videos, pictures and stories.
Her father used to joke that they were opposites: he grew up hearing of Pandora and its wonders; she grew up hearing of Earth and its horrors.
After her mother's death, her father had the chance to travel back to his planet, but he thought better not, for his daughter could not endure the travel, and even if she could, he knew Sabrina would have a better quality life amongst the Na'vi than the humans.
"Where's my dad?" she asked after a long sip of her tea.
Dr Patel didn't even bother looking up to answer her. "With the children."
Sabrina sighed but left behind what was left of her tea and got a protective mask. Max Patel had many plants to analyze, yet that day, looking for medical solutions for human-caused problems, and Sabrina was a big girl with sufficient knowledge of the place to find her dad — the doctor did not need to worry.
Being Norm Spellman's daughter was no easy feature; he was one of the most accepted avatars, losing only to Jake Sully, who was technically no longer an avatar since he could not log off. Even with the convenience of keeping his human body, Norm spent most of his time as a Na'vi for more accessible communication with the orphaned kids he raised as if his own.
After the battle that destroyed Ometicaya's Hometree, many small blue children were left parentless, and Dr Spellman found there a chance to be helpful to the people. Sabrina hated sharing her dad growing up, but after she turned 11, that stopped bothering her so much. Well, except when it served as a reminder that she'd never be as helpful as Norm and the others with avatar bodies.
Dr Patel was teaching her a bit of science, for she could be valuable in other ways, but she was proving to be a problematic student — besides, she wanted to be a helper directly in touch with the Na'vi, not from within a lab.
"Look, kids, who have arrived," said Norm, being the first to notice his daughter's entrance.
Sabrina looked at the children and smiled, but when she locked eyes with her father, she frowned her nose.
"Hi, Miss Spellman," the Na'vi kids said together.
Inside classroom "walls" (there weren't actual walls), she was Miss Spellman, an active helper of Dr Spellman, their official English teacher.
Sabrina felt dislocated being called "miss", for only the students did so. To her dad, she'd always be Lil' Brina; for the other human scientists, she was Norm's kid; for the Ometicayans the girl was friends with, she was just Sabrina.
That morning, she helped her dad as much as possible, aiding the kids with most difficulties. Most heard and spoke English just fine, but they had trouble translating their thoughts.
"It's the anxiety to speak," said her father. "You had that growing up, too," he smiled at his Lil' Brina.
It didn't take long before Sabrina was fetched from the school, though — Neteyam, Spider, Lo'ak and the other Jake Sully's kids soon showed up and excused themselves.
"Please, Dr Spellman, let us take Sabrina with us," said Neteyam, for he was the oldest of the Sullys and the most respected. Unfortunately, Lo'ak had a lousy reputation, Kiri couldn't care less if Sabrina followed along, and Tuk was too young to be respected.
There was Spider, of course, who Norm Spellman liked a lot, but he would never tell the boy. And either way, Spider was always too awkward with the humans — for even though he felt heard amongst them, he didn't want to be. Spider's stronger desire was to be Na'vi, and there was nothing much to be done. So the humans that raised him allowed Spider as much freedom as possible, including the boy's lifestyle, composed of a copy of Sullys' behaviours.
After asking questions and making promises, Sabrina was free of her remaining duties with Dr Spellman for the day.
"Thanks, you guys," she said, smiling politely.
Miles was eye to eye with her, and he smiled too, but Lo'ak seemed content enough, and so did Neteyam.
"Ok, so can we go now?" said Kiri. "The forest awaits."
Sabrina thought it best not to mention that the forest would still be there, "waiting", no matter how long they took to get there.
The kids turned towards the forest, with Kiri and Tuk at the front of the little group, followed by Lo'ak, Spider and then Sabrina and Neteyam. The latter grabbed Sabrina by the shoulder, stopping her in her tracks with little to no effort.
It was so unfair how bigger than her he was, even though Neteyam was nine months younger.
"You don't have to come if you don't want to," he said.
She looked up at him, always so frustrated with how much she'd have to tilt her head to look him eye to eye. "I want to go."
Neteyam simply stared at her clothing, and Sabrina sighed. She knew she was not the most passionate one about the Na'vi way of living. She hated the early hours and the weird language structure, but the thing she disliked the most was definitely the clothing. Of course, it was easy for them with their long torsos and slender abdomens. She, however, was too self-conscious of the curves of her body, its milky skin colour and her human weaknesses.
She would've been tanned if on Earth (probably), but on Pandora, she had a distraught dad that kept her on a bath of sunscreen — "We don't know the exact power of this atmosphere on you, honey" was his excuse. And because of it, she never got to be more like her mother's skin colour, ending up just as white as Norm, and honestly, it was not a desirable look among the Na'vi.
"Look, Neteyam," she started her argument, "just because I'm not dressed to Pandora doesn't mean I'm not ready to explore."
He raised his hairless brows, crossing his arms. "Ok then."
They had only walked one meter before an insect came too close to Sabrina, and she could've been in danger if not for Neteyam squashing it dead.
She added, "If you could keep yourself close to me, that would be nice."
He smiled, but she did not catch it, for they kept walking, and he was way too taller for her to look at him unnoticed.
The problem with dressing like a human scientist when walking inside the dense flora of Pandora was that you instantly became a target for all the animals and weird living plants, who all despised humankind. However, Spider had better times in the forest, for he walked almost entirely naked, with only a thong similar to Lo'ak and Neteyam's. Moreover, he recently started painting himself with the same intricated patterns of the Na'vi.
The look suited him, thought Sabrina, for he was lean and fit. But, unfortunately, it wouldn't work for her.
The group walked for quite some time before stopping near a small pond.
Jake used to take his boys there before Tuk was even born, but that little mattered for the girl, who jumped in at the first opportunity. Lo'ak followed along, but the other four stayed staring at the two, Neteyam heavy with a smile and Kiri a little bored. Miles and Sabrina looked apprehensive, for it was true of the dangers of the land to humans, but the dangers of the water were unknown.
The fact that it was a small pond made things a little safer — there was no chance of a big Pandorian wale or something, but who knew how harmful small fish could be? Or even if there were unknown bacteria or tiny water insects just waiting for a human body to contaminate.
"So you all have your fun; I'll be near the trees, looking for kenten," Kiri said, hugging herself with her holed cloak blanket. Neteyam stared at his adoptive sister but said nothing and let her go.
Miles was the one that seemed not ok with Kiri being all alone, but he did not follow the girl, at least not right away. He knew her too well, and Kiri sometimes needed her time alone with the forest.
"But aren't kenten nocturnal creatures?" asked Sabrina after some seconds, her brain taking a while to connect the Na'vi word to the English one, being it the fan lizard.
Neteyam laughed, and so did Lo'ak, swimming close to the pond's edge and hearing it all.
"Thank Eywa, she's too far to have heard you," said the youngest Sully boy.
Sabrina frowned, embarrassed for having called out on Kiri's mistake. It was known that Kiri was the smart one, not Sabrina. Both were daughters of scientists, but only one naturally liked science. Norm's girl had knowledge she had to gather throughout her fifteen years of life, while Grace's girl was born with her mom's brain, or so Sabrina theorized.
The party knew the two girls weren't exactly fans of each other — but they tolerated one another just enough to keep the friend group tight.
Noticing they weren't going anywhere now that they had found the pond, Miles decided to give faith a chance and sat down near the edge, placing his feet inside the freezing water. He needed a couple of seconds to get used to the temperature, but soon enough, it was acceptable.
Neteyam side-eyed Sabrina (or, better said, looked down at her) and decided on sitting near a tree, offering her a chance to be ok to sit far from the water. It was only when he pulled out a bone knife and started making noises working it on his bow, that Sabrina noticed he had sat down. She had been too focused on Spider and was ashamed of how frequently she'd done that.
"How's the bow coming?" she asked before sitting next to Neteyam.
He battled with the urge to smile, happy to have secured her a place to stay. "I think it's already too good, but it feels like it's missing something."
"And you think it's missing... sharpness?" Sabrina asked, touching the tip of the bow where he had just taken out a big chunk of wood to make it look thinner.
"Perhaps," he replied. "Perhaps a painted detail."
Sabrina liked talking to Neteyam when they were both sitting for his head, although slightly more prominent than hers, at least fell to a similar level, and for a second, she could forget he was taller than two and a half meters, and she was barely 1m60.
His big eyes stared at her with a sweet caress, and she noticed that they were barely more green than yellow. It was funny, she thought, how she had been friends with Neteyam since he was born, but just how little attention she paid to his details. She reminded herself that he was a prince amongst the Ometicaya, and that title probably pulled her away from him more than she cared to admit.
She hated it but couldn't help but feel unwelcome by the clan, especially because she never tried to adapt. Dr Patel was going through the same problem, but he had some friendship with Mo'at, the Sullys' grandmother, so he was excused.
Even though Sabrina was a friend of the princes and princesses, she felt more secluded than Spider.
She shifted positions, leaning in on the tree and getting closer to Neteyam, who allowed her some room after noticing what she was doing. She stared at the three kids left by the pond and couldn't help the rise of jealousy.
She so wanted to get in the water.
It was a bloody hot day, and they seemed to have a lot of fun. Even Miles, with only his feet in, appeared delighted tossing water on Lo'ak's face.
Tuk was the most comfortable and the easiest of them to be jealous of. She was so young and knew so little — Sabrina could not recall when she was like that.
Neither recalled Spider, for he pretended way too well. Late at night, when the Na'vi already went to sleep, but the humans still had access to light and could stay a little longer, Miles and Sabrina would talk and blab all about Pandora, being a human and their friends' easiness.
Miles was a keen defender of Kiri, and he said she knew how the human kids felt, but Sabrina could not agree, and generally, that topic ended their conversations. But until he mentioned Grace's daughter, Spider and Sabrina had already laughed and shared, and those single moments were enough to keep Norm's daughter hot with a spark she did not yet fully understand.
Puberty hit Spider first, then Sabrina and then Kiri, even though much is told that the last one was fully matured before going through what makes a woman. Although, of course, they felt like kids yet; Spider, the oldest, had just turned nineteen weeks ago, but something was shifting, and Sabrina could almost feel it in her bones, just like Kiri felt nature in hers.
Neteyam was ending his puberty process just then, for he was a full seventeen-year-old boy, and honestly, it had taken him some time to get there.
By the humans' count, it was 2173, which meant that Sabrina would finally be nineteen in just a couple more months — and that terrified her.
When talking to Spider late at night that day, he had some heartfelt advice to give.
"It's just an age, Bree," he said, putting his hand over hers. "Besides, I'm nineteen now. It changed nothing for me."
But it felt like something would change.
The humans had been back on Pandora since the year before, which was never good news. Sabrina wasn't sure how much of that had to do with her age — maybe it meant less time to play around and more chances of maturing and fighting against her own race?
"Do you think we will change as friends when we reach adulthood?" she asked her human friend.
Miles pondered over the question. According to Ometicaya's rituals, Neteyam was already a full adult, and Lo'ak had just recently become one, too, for they underwent the Iknimaya, a rite of passage for hunters. But he knew what she meant when asking him that — it wasn't about Na'vi adulthood, but rather humans' one. Norm told everything to the two human babies of Pandora; they knew maturity for them would mean turning twenty-one, but there was no rite of passage for that.
But Miles didn't accept that age. He felt like an adult because nothing much changed for Jake's kids when they were made official, so why did anything have to change for him?
"No, nothing shall change. We didn't shift how we talk to Lo'ak or Neteyam, did we?" he finally spoke.
She looked at him with narrow brows and an inclined head. "But they are still kids. Neteyam is younger than both of us."
"He is, but to Na'vi, he was a warrior," pointed out the boy.
"Is he really? Jake and Neytiri seem fine whether he stays playing with us or goes into fights," Sabrina said, with the livid image of that day on her mind.
She and Neteyam stayed talking calmingly until Spider started to worry about Kiri, and they all got up to look for her. And she was ok, to no one's surprise but Spider's, and they had a little picnic before returning to the camp base.
The point was: no one was mad at Lo'ak and Neteyam for being teens and spending their afternoons with Tuk, Spider and Sabrina. Even Kiri, who was considered a woman for different reasons than the boys, had no complaints to hear when returning.
"I think that adulthood has much more to do with how you act than a certain age you reach," said Spider, deciding his point. "And I think I'm an adult."
Sabrina smiled at hearing his confidence. She wished to share it. But, instead of being insecure, she hugged him with one arm, applying too much strength and messing with his hair.
"You always will be baby Miles to me," she said and laughed at his frown.
"Get off, Bree!" he exclaimed, but he was laughing too.
They started a little fight without commitment to hurting one another, except maybe tickling one another. Until Sabrina's brain reminded her that Spider was, in fact, only wearing a well-covered, Na'vi thong. Although it was his usual, to her, it was all too strange after reading some digital books her father forced her to when she got her first period.
So she slowly stepped away from their "fake fight" and said goodnight.
"Sweet dreams," he said like he did every night. He didn't even notice that touching his bare skin caused things on Sabrina to arouse, for her touch provoked nothing in him except the slight feeling of being safe and cared for.
***
Like the mundanes, the Ometicaya clan had special days of the month when the families could relax and avoid their obligations. Of course, some of the functions still had to operate — such as hunters — but for the most part, the forest natives were free to do what they'd like.
For the Spellmans, those days generally consisted of an intense four-hour fight training because Sabrina felt it was needed to survive the planet and the comeback of the RDA. Norm wasn't exactly an expert at battle, his last and only experience had been a tragic one, but since the year before, he and Jake Sully had worked together planning ways to sabotage any human activity outside the safe names of known scientists.
Sometimes he allowed his daughter a Na'vi knife, but mainly it consisted of a lot of punching and kicking and running around; for safety in Pandora was usually found when running away from the monstrous creatures.
Sabrina had been particularly anxious about that day's training session, for she felt like she was finally getting more muscular. Still, the number of times Brina got to prepare was so scarce that by the end of the session until the beginning of the next one, she was back to her squishy, cute fatty version again.
Walking out of the lab compound, she found her father talking to Jake Sully. The man was no longer in his human form, though, and Sabrina thought she was finally going to get some action, for her father's human body was a bit of a joke to fight against, considering how much skinnier than her he was.
"Dad, are you ready to go?" she asked after saying hello to the Ometicaya's chief.
Jake, who sat on one of the cut tree trunks that had been strewn around the "Earthlings' space", gulped, inclining his head down, allowing, by not facing Sabrina, a sense of privacy for father and daughter.
Norm looked from his friend to his kid.
"I won't be able to train you today, Lil' Brina," he exhaled. "I'm sorry."
"But, dad! We barely get any training done!" protested Sabrina, scowling.
Albeit he did not want to, Jake couldn't help but hear, and he found the human girl so similar to his teen girl at home that he knew that Norm was in deep trouble.
"Dad! We never have free time together," she said again.
Norm was about to insinuate that what he was about to do with Jake was more critical than their session, and they could, later on, do it if she so wished, but the big blue chief cut in.
"If you so wish, Sabrina," started Jake, "my son could be your father's substitute."
Neteyam, standing far from the trio, could hear it all well enough to understand that he was being called up front and started stepping closer.
"You'd help her train some punches, would you not, Neteyam?"
Sabrina noticed that Jake Sully's tone suddenly changed, and the pleasant comrade gave his place to a commander. Neteyam lowered his head just enough to agree.
"Of course, sir," the boy said politely.
Norm nodded. "Thank you, my friend."
"It's no problem. I wouldn't like my kid to listen to what we are about to discuss anyway," Jake told Norm, lowering his voice but being quite well-heard by the teens anyway.
"Well, off you go then," said Norm, looking from Neteyam to his daughter. "Have fun."
Making an animal-like sound with her throat, Sabrina rolled her eyes but started walking away with Neteyam.
"It's training, dad. It's not supposed to be fun."
"Have fun!" shouted Norm again, but he was no longer watching Sabrina, and his focus was back on the chief.
As soon as they were far from his father's eyes, Neteyam cracked up laughing at the situation, lowering his warrior facade. Sabrina had to make a great effort to stare at the boy, for he had grown a bit taller than the last time they had some quiet time, just the two.
He hadn't noticed it, however.
"I'm not taller," he said. "You're just shorter."
"Haha," she pretended to laugh. "Can't wait to kick your ass."
When they finally arrived at the small space secluded for training, Sabrina was glad to find it empty of any Na'vi or other humans. She got herself gloves from the scientists' trunk placed at the darker corner of the room and marched up to meet Neteyam, who wore nothing outside his usual attire.
It was weird how her brain was wired to overthink it when looking at Spider in a thong but seeing Neteyam in a thong was simply ok. It was more comforting than if he wore something similar to hers — tight black leggings (stolen from her mother's trunk) and an oversized t-shirt that was actually rather embarrassing now that she thought about it.
Neteyam noticed it too.
"A fan, huh?" he smirked, pointing at her shirt, for it was stamped with a Na'vi, and there it read: Pandora rocks!
She rolled her eyes. "You know I don't have many options!" She said the truth: the women who left clothing items behind were majorly too skinny to have anything fit for Sabrina. Her mother's stuff was just the same, but some of the pants fit her still (which told Sabrina that her mother had a giant ass, whether she liked to know that or not).
The t-shirts were primarily male because men tended to be bad at packing. For that reason, she even had a nice, serious-looking white button-up shirt that belonged to Parker Selfridge — for his name was embroidered on its pocket.
The t-shirt she had picked for that workout day was perfect, for it wasn't too hot and was goodly loose, but that was before she knew she was going to train with an actual Na'vi.
"So," Neteyam started speaking in a more serious tone, "I have no idea what exercises your father normally asks you to do, so you got help me here."
"Well, he generally tells me to throw punches, but I feel like today, were it not for your dad, he would've given me a proper chance to fight," she told the boy, tightening her high ponytail with a push. Neteyam's eyes followed her movement. "It is lucky that I have a decent giant to fight today."
The said giant squished his eyes. "I don't feel like your father's idea of exercise included a big guy hitting his little daughter."
Making a face, Sabrina crossed her arms. "Who said anything about you hitting me?"
Neteyam waited.
"I'll hit you, big guy," she smiled, tasting her victory beforehand. "I am older."
"And I am a certified warrior, whereas you have had what? Six days of workout?" joked Neteyam.
But Sabrina didn't laugh — oh, no, his comment made her very angry. Thus, she chinned up and went for it, focusing her fists on Neteyam's gut, but she didn't even scratch him before he pushed her away with the slightest of touches.
"You know, the thing about battle cries," he said, "is that your enemy can hear you too."
"I yelled 'AAAA'," she said, "that's hardly a battle cry."
He sniffed. "Whatever. English and its double meaning. It sounded like the cry of someone who wanted to battle. Ba-ttle cr-y," Neteyam defended himself, saying the last bit slowly and with a rather cute accent.
"Whatever, big guy," she gave him the shoulder. "Anyway, can I punch you now? Or at least try?"
He smiled. "Go for it, little lady."
Neteyam drove Sabrina to exhaustion.
Together, the two ran a few times (although just Sabrina did the running; the Sully boy just walked at the most leisurely pace possible). Afterwards, Neteyam spread some bags of stones around the place and instructed Sabrina to skip one and pick up the next, not letting her exaggerate the weight she picked but also not taking it easy.
At the end of the day, after a brief break for an impromptu lunch of Pandoran fruits, the human girl was sweating profusely, but Neteyam was unfazed. Exhaustion didn't bother Sabrina—she liked to test her limits and would never admit it, but her training with the prince of the Ometicayans had been better than the ones with her father.
To end the session, Neteyam offered his stomach as a punching bag so that Sabrina would feel the real pain of skin-to-skin contact. Of course, his skin was much more impenetrable than hers, but it didn't matter because, after just two minutes, the girl was tired of the activity.
"Fight! Back!" she demanded, throwing a punch at every word. "It! Is! Too! Easy! Like! This!"
He looked down at her.
"I can't hit you, Sabrina," he said. "You know why."
Mostly, the two of them ignored the fact they were different species, hence why he joked about her height, for he pretended she could get as big as him as if her kind was capable. But that day, Sabrina was really pushing it.
She stopped hitting his stomach. "At least hold me down. You know, defend yourself."
"I can still end up hurting you."
"Neteyam."
"Yes?"
"Pandora hurts me," she said matter-of-factly. "I'm used to getting hurt."
He wanted to comfort her upon hearing that, but what good would come of it? So he shifted positions and decided to defend himself from her attacks, which proved to be a real bore, for she was too easy to defeat to him.
When she took a couple of steps back to buckle up some strength to hit him, he waited for her to be close again and held her by the top of her head, but he was careful not to touch her protective mask. He knew nothing of how that thing worked and was scared he could compromise it by touching it at the wrong spot. So her hairline was a fine place to hold her and her mighty force.
"If I was an animal, such as a yerik, showing your teeth would be a much more efficient way to keep me away than shaking your head," he pointed out presumptuously.
"I'm not gonna show my teeth!" she yelled, still tossing and turning to free herself but failing.
Until she thought of something, reading all those anatomy books her father gathered on her notepad was alright because it gave her an idea. She calculated it in her head — she was the right height for it, even though she'd have to use her highest kicks.
Surreptitiously, Sabrina tested her right leg, precisely her knee. Then, when she was sure everything was fine, she stopped shaking her head that was held by Neteyam's hand. Then, raising her leg in a kick, as high as possible and with the most tremendous force gathered, Sabrina hit him right between the legs, where she knew a man—and her father had assured her that any man—would feel a lot of pain.
He dropped her right away and stepped aside, hissing in pain and placing his hands over the injured place. It didn't take more than three seconds before he was on the floor, looking bad.
"Oh, my! I'm so sorry, Neteyam," she said, "I didn't know it could... it would hurt you that much," she leaned forward, placing a hand over his shoulder. "Are you too hurt? Do you need me to call someone?"
"Stop having your fun over it!"
"I'm not!" she said and was being honest. She wanted Neteyam to take his hand from her hair, it was true, but she didn't think a human kick in the balls would be that agonizing on a Na'vi grown boy.
He was still hissing for quite some moment, and for that reason, she kept herself almost on top of him, except he was sat, and she was up and only then were they the same height. It bothered her a bit, but she said nothing, for the one suffering there was already him.
"I think we're done training today," he finally spoke.
"Agreed," she smiled slightly, watching his expression cool down. "Do you need help getting back up?" her question made him realize their position and her closeness. Of course, they had spent the whole day in close contact, but it felt different from that moment, with her hand caressing his bare shoulder and her tender look directed solely at him.
He felt self-conscious and stared at her without answering the question. Something fluttered inside him, close to where his stomach was, but considering how many punches she had just hit it with, he thought nothing of it.
Neteyam made it noticed that he was getting up, and Sabrina stepped away, allowing the big guy and his big legs space to rise.
"You know," she gulped, losing confidence as she voiced her thoughts, "we could do this more often. Not me hitting you... where I did," she hastened to add. "But we could workout together, or better, you could instruct me; I think it would be worth it for both of us because you would see a human in action, you know, and I know you want to help your father against the RDA, but you don't know much anatomy human, right? So I can help you with that..."
She stopped speaking when she noticed she was rambling. But, unfortunately, she failed to see that Neteyam found it all rather cute. Yeah, it had been a bit boring, he'd say, to test her limits while nothing bothered his Na'vi form, but it was nice being around Sabrina. She was a dear friend to him.
"We can train together again," said Neteyam, curving the right corner of his lip up.
Sabrina said nothing, but her eyes were filled with thankfulness; that was all Neteyam needed.

Love the snippet from your Sabrina x Stranger Things fic... can't wait for more I think the premise is super interesting. Hope you continue to post more of it.
I’m glad you liked it - I definitely plan on posting the full chapter - I’ve been struggling a bit with getting the plot “settled” but it’s definitely coming! I’m just trying to make sure I have everything covered for where I want it to go.
Edit: Chapter 1 is here
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina + Stranger Things crossover
Reader is mixed (black and white) a witch (A Spellman) who moved to Hawkins after becoming the Queen of hell (which will be gotten into later. Things are gonna start off pretty quick - takes place in Season 4 of stranger things with other elements from the other seasons included (I’m taking GREAT creative liberty)
Warnings for later chapters: will include smut, Eddie Munson x Reader, will include pagan imagery, spell work and witchcraft. Takes place during the ‘satanic panic’ so if that makes you uncomfortable don’t read.

Chapter 1
To say your life was hellish was a severe understatement. So much so that your two aunts Hilda and Zelda and cousin Ambrose quickly relocated you to Hawkins, Indiana your senior year of High School. So many things had changed leading up to this move. You had lost friends, lost family connection, fought the “devil” himself and became the Queen of hell at the age of 20. A part of you, buried deep in your soul, longed for normalcy, or what you perceived as normalcy. You loved the gifts of being a witch, you truly did, and you wouldn’t have it any other way. Moving to Hawkins was exactly what you needed - even though leaving your family was one of the hardest decisions you had to make. It was what was best for you - and them.
--------------------------------------
Being the new kid is a feeling you despised - especially when you were the different new kid. The black clothing, crystal, sigil and pentacle jewelry also didn’t help with the wondering eyes. You decided your best course of action was to lay low and blend in, as much as a witch could amongst mortals. But per usual, people had other plans.
You had brought a book to read, not minding sitting alone at lunch. Sitting down with your poor excuse of a lunch you pulled your book from your backpack, opening to the last page you had read.
“Hey newbie!”
You jumped at the voice, turning to see a kid wearing a ballcap and a graphic tee with a patterned button up. He motioned for you to come sit at his table, the other boys looking at you. You sighed, shaking your head before putting your book back in your bag and walking over to their table, avoiding the wandering eyes as you sat down.
“How can I help you?”
“Dustin Henderson,” the boy said holding out a hand for you to shake.
“Y/n Spellman,” you said, shaking his hand.
“Eddie Munson,” you turned to put a face to the voice, finding him to be wearing the same shirt under a leather jacket and jean vest, long unruly hair brushing past his shoulders. “Ms. Spellman, it’s an honor,” he said, jokingly bowing to you. You lips unturned in a slight smirk, finding it funny that he knew nothing about you. “You don’t look like the other students here,” he said, gesturing to the necklaces that hung from your neck, all of the bearing pagan and occult symbols. “I like your style,” he added, his brown eyes meeting your sharplpy lined ones. “We would like to bestow you the privilege to join our group.”
“And what makes you think I’d even want to join your…group?” The boys laughed, egging Eddie on.
“Us freaks have to stick together,” he said, not breaking eye contact with you.
“Freaks? Does that have anything to do with the t-shirts all of you are wearing?”
“These? These have to do with DnD,” Dustin said excitedly. “We could teach you how to play! It’s a b-” The boy beside Dustin hit him upside the back of his head, shaking his own.
“Mike what was that for?” Dustin asked at the same time as you said,
“I know how to play DnD Dustin,”
“Only I can offer an invitation to someone into Hellfire Henderson, you know that.” Eddie said, turning to look to you. “What do you say sweetheart?” Eddie asked, cocking his head to the side, seemingly interested that you played DnD.
“What’s the harm?” You asked with a shrug, sitting down next to Dustin. You looked at everyone at the table, eyes finding Eddie’s and looking at the magazine in his hands. “What’s the news?”
“The devil has come to Hawkins.” You smile broke for a second, rasing a brow.
“Elaborate?”
“Apparently,” Eddie began, putting on a voice representing a newscaster, “the game has been connected to ritual sacrifice, sodomy, suicide, and even-” he took a dramatic pause, “murder”
“Exciting,” you chuckled under your breath, sighing in slight relief. You had already been at the end of one witch hunt you didn’t want to be at the end of another.
“What are you doing in Hawkins?” Mike asked. You chuckled softly, shaking your head.
“If I told you the truth you wouldn’t believe me,” you said, fingers unintentionally moving to your pentagram necklace.
“You’d be surprised,” Dustin breathed. You opened your mouth to say something, the bell signaling the end of lunch interrupted you. Dustin and Mike both said their goodbyes, as well as the other boys except for Eddie.
“I really like you,” Eddie said softly. “Meet me out in the woods after school.”
“Gonna kill me?”
“Oh no, you’re too hot to kill,” he said with a soft smirk.
“Smooth Munson,” you said with a smile.
“You don’t mind being seen with a mixed girl?” You asked softly, your eyes sad as you met his. His brows furrowed in confusion, a faint look of pity meeting yours.
“Look at me, do you think I really care about appearances?” Eddie asked softly.
“No but…”
“No buts sweetheart. I’m not gonna hurt you. I might look scary but I’d never hurt someone.” He said shaking his head. The second bell rang, signalling your time was nearing an end. “Let me walk you to class.”
------------------------
Eddie had nearly talked your ear off as he walked you to class. He really didn’t seem to care that people were staring, and when he talked to you, you didn’t either. The school day ended quickly, thankfully, Eddie had decided that he liked you enough to let you sit in on DnD. He paused at the open doors, eyes scanning the room in front of him.
“Where’s Sinclair?”
“We-we were gonna tell you but then-” Mike began.
“I invited y/n over and we forgot,” Dustin said softly.
“Forgot what exactly?”
“Lucas is at the championship game,” the two boys murmured as Eddie slowly walked to the elaborate table like a predator cornering his prey. Slamming his hands down on the table.
“You mean to tell me that Lucas has been taken to the dark side and you didn’t think to tell me until now?” Eddie ground out. He looked over his shoulder at you, smirking gently. “Lucky you’re here sweetheart,” he said turning to face you fully, arms crossing smugly. “Class and level?”
“Chaotic good half elf rogue, level 14,” you said in response, keeping his gaze.
“A little feisty,” he said eyes narrowing slightly. “Let’s see what you’re worth Spellman.”
---------------------
The game came down to you and Dustin, who unfortunately died tragically.
“Flee? Or fight?” Eddie asked.
“We said to the death didn’t we?” You said softly, holding your hand out for the “D20 please,”
“Be my guest,” he said placing the die in your hand with a smirk. Holding the die in your hands you took a break stating a simply spell in your mind;
When chance’s dice I choose to throw
Little seed of acorn grow
As I gild thee here and now
Bring to me my desire
Eddie held eye contact with you as the die rolled, neither of you breaking it until you heard the triumphant cheers of the boys around you, Dustin shaking you in excitement. Eddie, one for theatrics you’ve learned, bowed to you once again, the smirk you’ve been growing to love staring back at you.
“Well done Spellman.”
---------------------
After the game you walked out to the woods, sitting down at a picnic table. You looked around, hearing a blond girl walked up behind you. She wore a cheerleader uniform, she seemed nervous as she sat down next to you.
“You’re the new kid aren’t you?” She asked you.
“Mhmm,” you nodded.
“Chrissy Cunningham,” she said, offering you a small smile.
“Y/n Spellman”
“Are you buying from him too?” She asked.
“Buying?”
“Weed,” she said softly. Your eyebrows rose slightly and shook your head.
“I didn’t know he sold,” you said softly.
“Oh! I thought you knew,” she said softly. “You’re not gonna tell anyone right?”
“No, no. It’s cool,” you said, “I dabble.”
“Ladies,” Chrissy jumped at the sound of Eddie’s voice, the latter holding his hands up in surrender. “Didn’t mean to scare you,” he said looking between the two of you. “You buyin?”
-----------------
Eddie had taken his time to make Chrissy comfortable with buying from him as she decided that she wanted something stronger. She and Eddie had been in his trailer for an awful long time, you deciding to stay outside, a blunt between your lips as you anxiously toyed with your obsidian ring. Something about this felt off.
Then you heard his scream.
The fear you saw on his face as he ran out of his trailer, you didn’t know what had happened but he looked terrified.
“Eddie? Eddi What happened!” You asked as he frantically unlocked his van.
“Chrissy-she, I was getting the special k and she, she floated and-and now,” he murmured under his breath, his hands shaking.
“Eddie calm down, if you co-”
“Chrissy’s dead y/n!” He said, hands gripping your shoulders tight. “I-I have to get out of here.”
“De- What?!”
“Get in the van Spellman!” Eddie didn’t offer anything else, pushing you towards the passenger seat, running to the drivers seat. He didn’t even speak to you as he put the van in reverse, driving like a mad man out of the trailer park.
“Where are you going?”
“Far from here,” he said quickly.
“Go to my house,” you said quickly.
“What?” He breathed, eyes wide and trained on the road.
“Go to my fucking house!” You said firmly, making Eddie jump.
“Why?”
“I can keep you safe,” you said. “Trust me,”
---------------------------
The two of you had abandoned the van in a thick patch of woods, as you lead Eddie to your house, in the outskirts of Hawkins. The night concealed the two of you as you led him inside.
“You live here alone?” Eddie asked softly, looking around.
“It’s a long story,” you said quietly, pulling this jacket off slowly. “How are you doing?”
“I-I just watched something kill the Queen of Hawkins high in my trailer and now I’m alone with the hottest girl in school, how do you think I’m doing?”
“You think I’m hot?” You asked with a soft smile. He scoffed at your statement, shaking his head.
“You don’t believe me - about Chrissy do you?”
“First off I wouldn’t be alone with you if I had a single doubt that you killed her. Second off, I’ve had my fair share of…strange experiences. You’d be surprised how unsurprised I am by this, but onto more important matters, is there someone I can call?”
—————-
You waited as the land line rang, watching Eddie pace back and forth beside you.
“You keep doing that you’re gonna run a hole in the rug Munson.”
“Shut it Spellman.”
“Henderson Residence.”
“Hi, this is Y/n Spellman, I go to school with Dustin and I wanted to ask him some questions about the game we played tonight,” you said the lie rolling off your tongue easily, hoping the woman who you assumed was his mother would buy it. She seemingly did as she transferred the call to Dustin.
“Y/n?”
“Is anyone listening in?” You asked quietly.
“No?”
“I - I need you to come over. Eddie’s here and…something happened.” You said softly.
“What happened?” Dustin asked. Your silence seemed to be telling enough as he spoke again. “Was it a demogorgon? Or a demodog?”
“A what? Dustin I don’t know what your talking about.”
“There monsters from another dimension, their face opens u-“
“Dustin, I need you here. So Eddie can explain.”
“Alright, but tell Eddie I’m bringing the others. And Steve.”
————————
“Steve Harrington? Dustin said he was bringing Steve?” Eddie asked, fidgeting with the rings on his fingers as the two of you sat at your dinner table that your aunt had graciously allowed you to take from Greendale.
“Yeah, he said he needed a ride, and something about a bat,” you said shaking your head. “Did you need a drink? Food? A change of clothes?” You asked, reaching a hand out to his. He didn’t answer right away, seeming to examine you closely.
“What are you?”
“What?” You asked softly, brows furrowing.
“I-the jewelry, the pentagram, the vibe.” He said, waving his hands about. You
took a breath, turning your face from him for a few seconds. “You’re a witch aren’t you,” he said softly, fidgetting. You gave him a soft nod as you turned around to face him again. “Cool, cool,” he breathed, running his hand through his hair. “Witches, demons, monsters, I’m going insane aren’t I?”
“No Eddie, you’re not,” you said, shaking your head. “This world isn’t…as it seems,” you said gently.
“Clearly, I mean a girl levitated and died from the inside out in my fucking trailer!” He said bluntly, hands slamming down on the dining room table.
“Eddie, how can I help?” You asked quietly, once again placing your hands over his again to squeeze gently.
“I-I don’t know,” he said softly. “I don’t fucking know.”
“Well, I’m here, and you’re safe. With me. No one gets in who I don’t allow,” you said firmly. “Speaking of which, the others are here,” you said, standing up from your seat. “Stay here,” you added as you moved to the front door.
“Where would I go?” Eddie asked absentmindedly, staring at his hands. You opened the door to see Dustin with another young girl and boy and two people your age.
“Hey Dustin, who’re they?” You asked, blocking the doorway.
“Max, Lucas, Robin and Steve.” Dustin said, pointing to each person.
“You weren’t followed were you?”
“Not that I’m aware of,” Steve said, moving to lean against the doorway. “Can we come in?”
“Uh, yeah,” you said stepping aside to allow them in through the wards you had setup.
“Nice house you’ve got here,” Dustin said, taking time to look around slowly.
“Wait here please,” you said, walking up behind Eddie, hands resting on his shoulders to soothe him gently. “You gonna be polite?”
“I don’t trust Harrington,” Eddie said shaking his head.
“But you trust Dustin, right,” you said, absentmindedly squeezing the muscles of his shoulders.
“Yeah,” he sighed, head falling forward. “Feels good,” he murmured, his body relaxing slightly.
“I’ll level with you, you play nice and I will give you the best massage of your life,” you said softly, “How does that sound?”
“Trying to make a move on me y/n?” Eddie asked, standing up to turn around to face you, moving your hands from his shoulders.
“I’m being hospitable,” you said softly, offering him a gentle smile. “What do you say?”
“I say, you put forth a strong argument m’lady.” Eddie said, “I’ll play nice,” he added with a smirk that made you want to giggle.
“Henderson, get you and your friends in here,” you called, not pulling your eyes from Eddie. He held your gaze a few moments more before turning to face Dustin. Offering the boy a hand he snorted, pulling him close in a hug.
“Henderson.”
“Munson.”
“Who’re they?”
“Robin, she plays in band.” Dustin said, Robin mimicking a trumpet with her fingers. “Steve…you know him,” the two men shared eye contact, neither one making a move to shake hands or offer salutations. “You know Lucas, and Max, she never wants to play dnd” Max shrugged, her eyes meeting yours with a small smile after Eddie’s. “Oh and she’s y/n, the new kid.” Dustin said pointing to you. You offered them all a wave, moving closer to Eddie.
“I’ve taken the liberty of keeping Eddie with me, he’s safe here. No one will find him here,” you said.
“How are you going to keep him safe newbie?” Steve asked, turning to face you, a hand cocked on his hip. You looked to Eddie as he offered you a soft nod.
“Don’t freak out,” you said softly. “I’m a witch,” you said softly. “I let you enter my home with my permission to let you through my wards. No random person will be able to break them I assure you.”
“Cool.” Dustin said, sitting down at the dinner table expectantly. Your eyes followed him with a confused gaze.
“What are you doing Dustin?”
“Dinner?”
“Oh you’re just assuming I’d provide dinner?”
“Dinner actually sounds great y/n.” Eddie said with a smug grin.
“Oh I’m sure it does Munson. But I’m only housing Eddie, not you and your…gang.”
“But doesn’t Eddie have to fill us in on what happened?” Robin asked, a small smile present on her lips.
“Oh wonderful, you’re all in this together.”

A/n: We are speaking about the Weird sisters of course so you can expect it to be intense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prudence purred her lip up, her hand gracefully tilted back whilst her other hand touched her elbow. – “Will you look at that.” – said she in a soft deep tone. She let her tongue touch one of her teeth for a moment as she smiled cunningly. She dropped her hand, turning more towards the scenery. Prudence watched you in the distance with Sabrina by your side. The two of you were laughing. Prudence purred like a jealous kitty once you touched Sabrina’s hand, laughing at her. – “That little witch needs to have it all.” – said she with a glare. Prudence couldn’t observe anymore as she felt her wicked blood boil at the sight of it.
Like a poison running through her veins. She hissed at Sabrina, spinning around sharply. She gave the two witches she passed a side-eye. Prudence made way for her dormitory where Agatha and Dorcus were having a pillow fight. Prudence entered agitated. Dorcus and Agatha caught up with it quickly, lowering their pillows. – “What is it sister?” – asked Agatha, tilting her head to the side. Prudence sneered, trying to smile while she was truthfully raging.
“I don’t like Sabrina.” – responded she. Dorcus snickered brief. – “Don’t we all.” – Prudence snapped her head in her sisters direction, making Dorcus swallow nervously. – “This time it is different.” – continued she, stepping around, her heels clicking on the marble floor. – “How so?” – asked Agatha, seating herself down with the pillow pressed against her chest. – “Sabrina is having her little hands around something of mine.” – Prudence tried to stay optimistic, but she was having a hard time with it. Agatha and Dorcus looked at each other in wonder. – “What has she taken from us?” – It was Agatha who dared to ask the question, seeing the angerly expression in her sisters eyes.
“Y/n!” – hissed Prudence out. Dorcus gasped loud, moving her hands in front of her mouth. Agatha turned her gaze down, clenching her jaw. – “That little mortal!” – spitted Agatha out. Dorcus glared, inhaling sharply. The three sisters staid in silence, brooding on their wicked thoughts.
“Are you sure you can’t stay a little longer?” – asked you, holding Sabrina’s hand. Sabrina shook her head. – “Sorry Y/n, my aunties need me at home.” – you pouted your lips, seeing her smile at that. – “I promise I’ll be back before you know it.” – said Sabrina to reassure you. You sighed soft, batting your eyes down. – “I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.” – answered you. – “See you tomorrow Y/n.” – Sabrina and you hugged as a goodbye. You walked with Sabrina till the door. Waving at her. When she was out of sight, went you back inside the academy of the unseen arts. You already missed her. She hadn’t left a minute ago and you already missed her terribly. You decided to sit down the broken statue of the dark lord.
You weren’t sure yet what you had with Sabrina, but it felt nice. Was it a deep friendship? Equal liking? Love? Whatever it was, you didn’t want it to go away. Sabrina made you look different upon the world. The world isn’t always split into night and day. As children of the night, there was so much around you if you simply took a moment to see it. The children of day were strange to your opinion. Vulnerable and fragile. Perhaps their Lord was not as powerful into providing it’s pupils with a form of the arts. Yet Sabrina was half a part of that. She made you review the children of day a bit different. Having met some of her friends, you knew now not all children of day were weak or fragile.
When it was time for bed, went you to your dormitory. You walked in surprised to see the Weird sisters sit so close by each other. Their heads went up to you, smiling wickedly. Prudence sat down as Agatha and Dorcus stood beside her. – “Tell me Y/n did you ate from the forbidden fruit?” – Asked Prudence with a wicked sneer. – “Forbidden fruit?” – repeated you, walking up to your bed. The sisters were already in their night gown as you slowly started to undress yourself. – “Yes, that taste of golden and black, have you not tasted it?” – said Dorcus, resting her elbow on Prudence her shoulder. – “I have no idea in what riddle you are talking Dorcus.” – replied you, putting on your white night gown.
“Perhaps a certain mortal will spark up your memory?” – questioned Agatha, quirking her eyebrow up. Prudence moved her hand gracefully to her sister, sharing some comfort for her to not explode. – “Can’t you just tell me what this is about?” – asked you. Dorcus removed herself from Prudence, walking over to you. – “My wicked Y/n.” – purred she out, moving her hand over your shoulder to lay your hair aside. Dorcus came leaning in, breathing against your skin. It tickled as you swallowed nervously. Agatha came joining in, moving the other part of your hair aside. – “Didn’t you know…” – said she, her lips brushing against your neck. – “We don’t like to share.”
Agatha then planted a soft kiss in your neck, making you close your eyes. Dorcus inhaled deep, taking in your smell. Dorcus lifted your hand up, looking down at it. She let her fingers brush over them, barely a touch. – “Is… is this about Sabrina?” – asked you out of breath. Agatha let her head rest in the nook of your neck, looking back at her sister. Prudence got up, walking up to you. – “Witches like to share…” – said Prudence. She came standing before you, Dorcus letting her hand run down the side of your face. Prudence then grabbed your chin, squeezing it firmly. – “But we don’t!” – She tilted your head back, making you grasp for air. You finally understood what was going on. The weird sisters were jealous.
All those years of playing around with them, even being considered their fourth sister bit them back. Like a venomous viper had you bit them to bleed. You knew they wouldn’t let this go. When the sisters were jealous, the entire earth could shake. You pushed Prudence her hand back, tilting your head back up. You smiled wickedly, knowing you had to fight fire with fire. – “Sisters.” – spoke you in a seductive hushed tone. The three of them widened their eyes in delight at the sound of your voice. You let your finger trail down Agatha’s cheek. Dorcus taking your hand as she laid her head down against it, stroking it.
You then touched Prudence her chin, seeing her smile. – “I have not forgotten about you.” – It pleased them to hear that. Having a sister jealous was a dangerous thing. Better not upset it or hell would rain over. You removed your hand from Dorcus, laying it against Prudence her neck. You kissed her on the lips, allowing her to process it all. You then turned to Agatha, kissing her slowly. Your last kiss was with Dorcus as you felt a bit of tongue. They were all satisfied. – “Will you give up on Spellman?” – asked Prudence, letting her finger circle on your palm. – “I cannot.” – said you, making Prudence snap her hard expression at you.
You had to corner them if you wanted to keep going with Sabrina in any way you wanted. – “You need to allow me to experience and explore this.” – you pulled your hand back from her. The three of them coming to stand before you. – “I told you Y/n!” – calmly expressed Prudence, her eye close to twitching. – “You don’t like to share, I know.” – filled you in. – “But.” – you stretched your arm out to them, letting them take in your smell. – “If you want to keep this fruit… you must sacrifice a thing or two for it.” – Like hungry vampires were they drawn to you. You pulled your arm back, seeing them blink themselves awake.
Agatha, Dorcus and Prudence each shared a look, considering in silence. – “Agreed!” – said they all in sync. You smiled. Now you could explore whatever you had going on with Sabrina further and keep the weird sisters as your allies. They were very important to keep close as friends. You wouldn’t wish their wrath on your worst enemy.

You would never admit it. There was not a living soul on earth that could get you to confess that since you were young you had had a crush on Ambrose Spellman. Happy to be merely friends you squashed the feeling every time it reared it’s head.
The only problem was that you had confided in someone. Your grandmother who had passed. She would sometimes visit you. Which had been fine until she had also visited Ambrose. He had informed you of what she had said and explained that she had struggled to get through to you. That was that. You had thought. The trouble with the dead was that they liked to gossip with each other. There wasn’t much else to do.
"Don’t bother trying to deny it." Ambrose said as he walked in. He had been at the club with his friends who followed after him.
“Ambrose?” Sabrina asked as she looked up from the spell book the two of you had been going over. A group of humans had found it and managed to get a few of the spells to work. While her aunts were away undoing the spell and finding out where it came from, the two of you were supposed to be looking through to see how the spells worked and who could have written them.
“I will have the truth!” He slurred. You stared at him as he crouched down in front of you. “I have spoken to the spirits.”
“You do that a lot Ambrose, they like you.” You pointed out and smiled. He wagged a finger at you and shook his head.
“No, no, no. I spoke to your spirit. Your grandmother and she told me something very interesting. So tell me if what I know is the same as what she said you told me!” He insisted.
“What are you talking about?” You asked, feeling a little nervous. Sabrina sighed and left the room with the book, realising the dining room would be the best place to finish. Ambrose sat in an armchair, legs thrown over the arm as he slumped down.
“You are in love with me. Why have you never said anything?” He asked. You winced and shrugged a little. He sighed and shook his head. “It’s quite flattering really.”
“Oh. You don’t mind?” You asked. There was no response as he’d already fallen asleep. Taking one of the blankets from the back of the sofa you put it over Ambrose and went to finish your task, hopeful that he would forget by the time he woke and nothing would change.

The Fae and the Prince
Tumblr media
Author: OK here we go! Part 4.. This took a little longer.. but i need to build up the upcoming carnival scene.. which in my opinion is going to be worth the wait! Enjoy! PS thank you for all the love i’ve been getting!! it really makes my heart warm! xoxo
Summary: Nightmares + Caliban + Tight Yellow Tees = TROUBLE.
Part 4:
You and Sabrina recited the opposite spell to get you back to her place. After you both grabbed something to eat from the kitchen, you went back up to her room. “Y/N, I told you to stay away from him.”
“Well, technically you told him to stay away from me.” She glared at you for your snide remark.
“I’m sorry. He came out of nowhere and then we were attacked by a Gallu—.”
“You were WHAT?!”
“Oh. Yeah.. I forgot to mention that.”
“Y/N, why didn’t you tell me? Are you ok?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. To be honest, I don’t know if I would be if Caliban wasn’t there. He performed some spell and the Gallu vanished. If it wasn’t for him, I’m not sure I would be here right now.”
“Shit. I’m sorry. I should have never left you alone. It’s just this whole ‘Hell’ is literally driving me crazy and now Lilith says that Earth is ‘out of its original order’ and I have no idea what that means, but she said that the angels are going to be arriving soon if we don’t figure it out.”
“I think they’re coming either way,” you said under your breath.
“Y/N what are you talking about? How would you know?”
“Sabrina… there’s something you should know. Before I got here, my mom sat me down and shared some news with me.”
“What kind of news?” she looked at you with a worried grimace.
You went on to tell her everything. Your mom. Your dad. You. Glowing eyes ‘n all.
“Holy shit…” she said. She sat down on the bed, eyebrows raised. “How could you just now be telling me this?”
“I just found out, Sabrina. It took me a little bit to digest it and I didn’t know how you’d react. I’m sorry.”
“No, it’s fine. I mean I get it. I didn’t tell you guys about being a which until last year. Just wow. Have you told anyone else? Please tell me Caliban doesn’t know.”
You gave her a sheepish grin.
“Y/N! Oh forevermore. Why! Why would you do that?”
“He knew! He figured it out. I mean not the entire story, but he knew that I wasn’t mortal, because of my aura and eyes..”
“Y/N he’s going to use this against us! He’ll figure out a way to get to me through you. I’m not sure how, but I wouldn’t put it past that hellfire little shit.”
“I don’t know if he will. Sabrina, for some reason and I have no idea why, I trust him. I feel something. I feel like he won’t hurt us.” You sat down next to her on the plush bed. “Also, I warned him not to use this information against us and you and your quest.”
“Oh sure! You warned the guy. He wouldn’t dare mess with you.”
“Sabrina…”
“I’m sorry, it’s just I don’t have a good feeling about that Caliban.”
“I know, but you can trust me.” She put her arm around you and you leaned in for the hug. “I know, I know. Ok, let’s get some rest, we’ve got a big day tomorrow with the carnival and all. And I’ve got to find that crown.”
The two of your got ready for the long awaited slumber and shortly after climbed into bed. Sabrina quickly dozed off, for she had a long day dealing with the hell kings and her reforms. You couldn’t help but picture those eyes of his. Those same eyes that stared at you in the forest. Those eyes that looked deeply into yours after the two of you nearly been killed. After some time of imagining you different scenarios, you finally fell asleep.
--
You were running. Running from what, you didn’t know. You looked up at the canopy of trees above you and realized you were in the Greendale forest. “How the hell did I get here?” you said breathlessly to yourself. Not seeing the large root in front of you, you lost your footing and landed on the forest’s floor.
The wind completely knocked out of you. Coughing and stumbling to get yourself back up, a force pushed you about twenty feet from where you fell. This time landing on your back, you saw what was hunting you. It was none other than a Hellhound, one of Satan’s minions chasing you. His bulging red eyes were staring right at you. The beast was huffing, from chasing after you. His four unnaturally, muscular legs outstretched ready to pounce on you. You lifted your upper body up, slowly, resting on your forearms. You turned your head to the right and then to left looking for something, anything that could kill this thing. You turned your head back again and saw Caliban standing right next to you about five feet away.
‘Caliban!’ you tried yelling. Nothing, nothing came out of you.
“Aww, love. You in a bit of mix-up?” Caliban said to you tauntingly.
Tears brimmed on the edge of your eyes. ‘Why isn’t he helping me?’ you thought.
“You see Y/N, I can’t help you. I am not permitted to. Even if I was, I do not know if I would because of how completely worthless you are. A fae and an angel. Two of the worst kinds of creatures. Your bloodline now is so utterly tainted I would never want to be with someone like you.”
You couldn’t believe it. The man you were falling in love with was literally leaving you to the dogs. How could he do that to you? The two of you shared something. The tears started rolling down your cheeks.
Caliban bent down and wiped away one of your tears with his thumb. “Love don’t cry. It’s just the beginning”, he said with an evil smile. “You may proceed dog.”
Just as the dog jumped on you, you jerked up from your pillow. Your chest was freckled with sweat.
You got up to go down to make a cup of chamomile tea to calm your nerves. “Just a dream. It wasn’t real”, you said as you sat down at the kitchen table. You took a few deep breaths, and went to take a sip of tea. You peered out the window. The sun was rising. ‘So much for a good night’s sleep’, you thought. You stood up to place the mug in the sink and make your way back up stairs to catch a few more hours of shuteye.
As you went to leave the kitchen, you felt a presence behind you. You didn’t dare look, for you were too shaken up by your dream. You ventured back upstairs without glancing through the window, where, without your knowledge, Caliban stood watching you.
--
The next morning, you and Sabrina got ready for the day. You threw on a plaid pinafore, a dark green turtleneck, some black tights, and a pair of boots that you had packed the night before. Sabrina wore a black turtleneck and a red plaid skirt. The two of you walked down to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. Sabrina told you she was going to spend the day with Nick, since he was somewhat back to normal from spending what seemed like forever in Hell. You told her you were going to try to have a normal day. Enjoy a lunch at Cerberus Books and catch up on some school readings.
After breakfast, the two of you parted ways and you made your way toward the café. Mythological stories had always been one of your favorite pastimes. Today you were rereading the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. You didn’t give the part about being stuck in Hell for all of eternity, when you read this story before, but now you couldn’t help but let your mind wander. Learning of your lineage, going to Hell, meeting Caliban, and now that dream.
‘Maybe this story wasn’t the best one to get your mind off the subject.’ You closed the leather-bound book and stood up to go get a chocolate milkshake, your favorite. When you turned to go to the register, you face planted into someone’s rock solid chest. You looked up. Caliban.
“Caliban!” you yelled in a hushed tone. “What in heaven’s name are you doing here?! In Greendale?”
“I came to see you, fae”, he said in a husky tone. He was wearing a tight yellow ringer tee, that accented every part of his arms, with tight blue jeans which mirrored the compliment to his lower half.
“A new nickname? Really?”
“Well, you won’t let me call you ‘love’ and besides fae suits you.”
“Fine, but you didn’t need to come all this way to tell me that. You do realize you’re in the moral world, right?”
“I do. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about; Sabrina won’t shut up about Greendale and you mortals. Well, I guess that doesn’t pertain to you anymore, does it fae?”
“Caliban, I don’t have time for this. I’m… studying.”
“Sure seems like you were getting a snack and reading—what’s this?” he went to pick up your book. “Ahh, Eurydice and Orpheus. Such a fool that Orpheus. If he had just trusted Hades, Eurydice and he would be enjoying life together as we speak.”
“Well it’s hard to trust someone like that right off the bat. Trust takes time”, you said looking down at the ground.
“You trust me right, fae?”
You didn’t answer his question. You snatched the book out of his hands and trudged to the register to order your dessert.
He followed you closely behind. “Why are you being so distant all of the sudden, fae?”
“No reason, I just told myself that today I was going to stay away from all things supernatural.”
“That’s a bit hard to do, considering you are part of that order,” he grabbed your shoulder and spun you around. “Talk to me. Please.”
“Caliban, I can’t. It’s just too much is going on right now and with you added to the mix, it just makes things really difficult. Besides, I have a carnival to get ready for.”
With that, you ditch the milkshake and Caliban along with it.

THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF ZELDA CHAPTER 10-SECOND HONEYMOON PLEASE COMMENT & REBLOG!
Tumblr media
CHAPTER 10-SECOND HONEYMOON
ZELDA AND FAUSTUS JOURNEY TO ROME TO FACE THE COUNCIL. THEY LEARN OF A SECRET THAT WORKS IN ZELDA’S FAVOUR, BUT EVEN THEN THE PRICE MAY BE  TOO HIGH TO PAY.
The loud cry pierced the quiet night. Zelda Spellman knew instantly that her daughter was awake.
“Coming, Cordelia!” But Zelda found she had a problem. Her body wouldn’t obey and get off the bed. Her damned eyes wouldn’t even open! While Zelda tried to get up a 2nd time, she felt a hand on a shoulder and a kiss on her cheek.
“I’ll go.” Faustus whispered into her ear.
“But it’s my turn,” Zelda muttered.
“Don’t wake yourself, dearest,” As Zelda fell back asleep, Faustus rolled over, got up, and grabbed his robe as he left their room. During his short walk down the hallway, Faustus put on his robe and tied it as he turned into the nursery. A lot had happened in the 2 and a half months since Cordelia’s birth. Due to Mambo Marie’s sudden move and Lovecraft’s murder, the Academy of Unseen Arts was getting dangerously understaffed. So, although Faustus didn’t like it, he completely understood when Zelda canceled her maternity leave and returned to work, early in the 3rd week of their baby’s life. Prudence and Dorcus were training to become full-time teachers. Agatha would have loved to join her sisters, but she still had a year to make up before graduation. Hilda picked up more classes. Since everyone was so busy at the school, and he refused to return to teaching when Zelda offered him the job, Faustus found himself picking up much of the slack at home. He cooked, cleaned, was Cordelia’s primary caregiver during the day, and after Hilda and Zelda gave him a crash course on how, Faustus started to take care of the business end of running the funeral home. In other words, Faustus was becoming a house husband and he was loving every minute of it! He was still working at the bookstore, but mostly on weekends when someone else could watch Cordelia or when Hilda could swap places with him. What Faustus was most proud of that he was becoming more and more a fully functioning member of the Spellman family. A loving and supportive family that Faustus felt more and more accepted by each day. But everything wasn’t always rosy. Now that he fully had his magic back, Faustus seriously stepped up his efforts to find Blackwood and the twins. Every time Faustus thought he found a tracking spell that would work, he would perform the spell right there in the house or he would settle Cordelia in her car seat and headed out to the woods, depending on the spell. None of which worked. All Faustus knew was that the spellbook written by a mortal was a completely fake. After talking about all his setbacks and his frustration with Prudence, his daughter suggested they try the blood spell again. They used 2 maps, 1 of Greendale; 1 of the world but something strange happened. Prudence, who went first, expected her spilled blood to immediately find a spot on the Greendale map but instead her blood slid off the map completely and the blood pooled neatly on the table, just off the map.  Prudence gave a confused look and tried it again, only with the world map but the same thing happened. Faustus tried the spell himself with both maps and had the same results. He didn’t tell Prudence but he had a gut feeling that Blackwood was no longer in Greendale and signs pointed to the twins still being with him. Faustus had to thank Hecate for Zelda. No matter how busy she was, no matter how much she missed the twins herself, she was always there for him. Whether it a shoulder to cry on after yet another failed spell or a sounding board once he got a new idea, and Zelda had plenty on her plate lately. Aside from being high priestess, headmistress, and a brand-new mother to Cordelia, Zelda was still Lilith’s mid-wife and put aside her own busy life once a month to go down to hell and look after Lilith. Speaking of Lilith, who was due next month, was growing more and more desperate as her pregnancy drew to its close. She even asked Zelda to find her a spell to pause her pregnancy altogether. That was absurd, of course, everyone knew that there was no magic to delay nature, neither for mortals or witches. However, there was only 1 baby Faustus was concerned about at the moment.
“Hello princess,” Faustus smiled as he leaned into her crib and picked up his daughter. After getting her a fresh diaper change, Faustus sat down in a rocking chair.  He held out his hand just long enough for a perfectly warmed bottle to appear out of thin air and fed it to Cordelia.
“There you go. Do you want to know something, Cordelia?” Faustus asked his daughter. “Daddy loves to get up with you. Even in the middle of the night. You see, my little one, oh, how do I explain this to you? We all know that I am a very proud father of 4 and I love both your sisters and your brother but this is my 1st chance to be a proper daddy.”  Cordelia gurgled and Faustus chuckled. “It’s true. Let’s see, with Prudence, I tried so hard to be there for her but I couldn’t claim her as my own because your big old meanie of a grandfather threatened to kill her and I couldn’t allow that.  The curse was on me by the time the twins were born and it only got worse as they grew older. I was there, I could see and hear them but I couldn’t interact with them. It was maddening. It was like watching Letitia and Judas through a 1-way mirror for the last 16 years. But not now, I’m fine now. Your grandfather is dead and your mother broke the curse. Your mother is the love of my life, she always was and always will be. I know that babies don’t get to pick their mothers but when both Madeline and Constance were pregnant, I wondered more than once, why can’t it be Zelda carrying my child? In fact, I remember when we were young and I hope that Zelda would get pregnant by accident so your uncle Edward would allow me to marry her. It never happened and despite Edward’s attempts to keep us apart, Zelda and I did manage to marry and have you. All that time stuck inside that stupid curse and the life I always wanted was just waiting for me to come home.” Faustus smiled at his infant as he put the now empty bottle on the table beside him. When he burped her, Faustus glanced up at the wall clock. “Oh my, look at the time! We better get to bed. You, me, and mommy have a plane to catch in less than 5 hours.” Right after Zelda returned to work, word came from Rome. The council was holding a summit to discuss the very badly needed religious reformation. It wasn’t just for the church of night. High priests from churches and covens all over the world would be there. Faustus thought it was a perfect opportunity to legitimatize the Order of Hecate and ordain Zelda as a high priestess. Zelda, was to put it lightly, less excited. Although Faustus had kept his part of the deal by being baptized into the coven. Since then, Zelda almost never spoke of the council. After the news of the summit, Zelda still showed no intention of going to Rome. When Faustus pushed her on the subject, Zelda admitted to being afraid for his sake. After all, as far as the witches council knew, they were still the church of night and Faustus was still in charge as high priest. Yet Faustus was proud of all of Zelda’s hard work and knew she deserved to be recognized for it. So, Faustus wrote a really long letter, detailing everything. His curse, how it snowballed into the fall of the church of night, the short-lived church of Judas and all that followed before Zelda stepped up and saved the coven by founding the order of Hecate. Faustus wrote and wrote, leaving nothing out. It was an ancient law that no witch can be held accountable for his or her actions while under a curse. Faustus made a photocopy of Edward’s deal with Lucifer and mailed that in along with the letter, to the council. He was certain that he was doing the right thing. The same couldn’t be said of Zelda.
“Faustus, have you completely lost your mind?!” Was Zelda’s exact words when Faustus told her about the letter. That night, Faustus made a new deal with his wife. If, after a week, there was no news from the council, they would attend the summit. 7 days and 7 nights passed by, and Faustus booked their flight although Zelda still had major doubts.  Of course, Zelda would never admit to be nervous but from the day she agreed to go to Rome, she had her head in her completed manifesto, every free moment she had. Faustus had even seen Zelda fall asleep on it, twice. His wife also seemed to forget that he originally pitched the trip to Rome as a 2nd honeymoon but Faustus didn’t mind. Zelda would just be more shocked when Zelda found the romantic surprises Faustus had in store for his wife. The baby moved, pulling Faustus out of his thoughts. He stood up and walked across the room.
“You love your mommy, don’t you, Cordy?” He whispered before kissing his daughter’s brow and gently laying her in the crib. “I love your mommy, too. I love her so much I would give her the whole wide world if I   could.”
After 1 last look at the now sleeping baby, Faustus turned, walked back to his room and got into bed. He was surprised when Zelda turned around, stole under the crook of his arm, and kissed him.
“I love you too, Faustus.”
Faustus pretended to be upset but the smile was a dead giveaway. “Excuse me, lady. Were  you listening in to a private conversation between me and my daughter?”
“No,” Zelda replied. “But it you prefer to keep your midnight chats with our daughter to be hush-hush, I suggest you turn off the baby monitor. It might be a mortal tool but it works just as well.”
Faustus couldn’t help but chuckle. “Good point.”
“Do you want to check my carry-on?” It was right after breakfast the next day and Faustus and Zelda were doing some last-minute packing.
In response of Faustus’s question, Zelda frowned as she looked up. “Why? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Faustus answered, “I just thought I would give you a chance to look for a music box.”
“Faustus, that’s not funny.”
“But you did smile,” he pointed out.
Zelda left her bag, walked across the room, put her arms around her husband’s neck and kissed him.  “Yes, I smiled. I smiled because I love you and I trust you. I trust you so much that I somehow, let you talk me into going on this fool’s errand.”
“It is not a fool’s errand!” Faustus protested. “You really are going to be the first witch put in office by the council. I just know it.”
Before Zelda could think of a rebuttal, Faustus kissed her again. They were still kissing when a knock can at the door. They turned to see Hilda in the doorway, holding Cordelia.
“Excuse me, this little girl is all packed and is ready to go.  All she needs now is someone to buckled her into her car seat.”
“Daddy will do it!” Faustus held out his arms and scooped up the baby, who gave a squeal of glee. On his way out the door, Faustus leaned down and whispered in Hilda’s ear, “Maybe you can give your sister some words of encouragement? She won’t listen to me.”
Faustus left with the baby and Hilda moved more into the room. “So, how’re you feeling, Zelds?”
Zelda turned to face her sister, wringing her hands. “To be honest, Hildie, I don’t know if I going to faint or throw up.”
Hilda smiled. “That’s easy. You’ve never fainted in your life and you ate too little at breakfast to throw up.”
“I feel like I should get my head examined just for agreeing to go on this trip. I mean, in a 1000-year history, the council has never, ever, appointed a high priestess.” Zelda pointed out.
“Well, it’s important to remember that, no matter what happens in Rome, sister, you will still be the leader of the Greendale coven. Your dealings with the council are just a mere formality.”
“If it’s a mere formality, as you claim, why go at all?” Zelda muttered as she sat down on her bed.
Hilda joined her. “A few reasons. The order of Hecate is just as valid a faith as the church of night. Plus, you, Zelda Spellman, have proven yourself to be a strong, caring and above all, capable leader, who rebuilt this coven from the ground up. For that, you deserved the support, the rights and rewards granted to any other high priests.”
“Thank you for your kind words, Hilda, and I hate for you to think I’m just dismissing your words because I’m not but I’ve seen the witches council in all their sexist glory and why should I believe that they will listen to me?”
“Because you’re the freakin’ best, Auntie Z!”
Both sisters turned to see a smiling Sabrina in the doorway.
Zelda sighed. “Between you 2 showering me with praise and Faustus’s confessional letter, I don’t have a choice, do I?”
“No.” Hilda and Sabrina said the word together and both smiling.
Zelda sighed as she got up off the bed, shut her suitcase, and when to leave, pausing to kiss Sabrina’s forehead.
“No matter what happens, we’ll be back in a week.”
The 3 women went downstairs and out the front door. Zelda was shocked to see most of the coven, plus Sabrina’s friends, came out to see their high priestess off. Some even brought flowers. Zelda gave them to Hilda, to bring into the house, before Zelda got into the backseat of the car and smiled down at Cordelia, who was in her car seat beside her mother as Faustus drove off. Greendale was a small town that didn’t have an airport so Zelda, Faustus and Cordelia drove an hour and a half to the nearest airport in a town called Riverdale. The family of 3 boarded their 10-hour flight to Rome. Zelda and Faustus had the silent spells ready for Cordelia but the baby proved to be a great flyer. Halfway through the flight, Faustus woke up from a nap to find Zelda holding Cordelia and frowning.
“Is something wrong, dearest?”
“Not really,” Zelda replied. “I just playing ‘where’s the baby?’ with Cordelia. It was Letitia’s favorite game, which used to make her laugh like crazy, but for Cordy, here? Not even a smile.”
“Well, that’s because our youngest girl is more into a good game of ‘got your nose.’” Faustus put his thumb between his fingers and showed the baby. Sure enough, Cordelia started to giggle.
Zelda looked up at her husband. “Showoff!”
It was already dark when they landed in Rome. Since they were no longer members of the church of night, Zelda and Faustus were not invited to stay at the Vatican necropolis. Instead, Faustus booked a room in a hotel nearby to where the council was holding their summit. The 1st surprise that Faustus planned for Zelda occurred while they were checking in.  Zelda spoke 15 languages perfectly and understood every word Faustus and the desk clerk said.
Zelda looked up at her husband and smiled. “You booked us into the honeymoon suite?!”
Faustus beamed down at her. “All week long.”
They collected their key cards from the desk clerk and went upstairs to the suite. Faustus held the door open as Zelda crossed the threshold and gasped in utter amazement.
“Look at this. Look at the wonderful room Daddy got for us, Cordy!” Zelda excitedly told her daughter while holding on to the baby’s carrier. While Faustus helped the bellhop with the bags, Zelda and Cordelia took a look around. There was a dining room and sitting room but the bedroom and the bathroom were the main attraction. The bedroom had a sleek, modern design with a huge flat screen and a giant king-sized bed. The bathroom was sparkling clean, done mostly in white marble and had a stand-alone shower because the tub was in the shape of a huge bright red heart. Zelda was studying it from the doorway when Faustus came up behind her, wrapping his arm around her waist.
“So, did your husband do good?” Faustus asked.
“My husband did great,” Zelda replied with a smile.
“I wonder if that heart tub has any water jets? We could have some fun.”
“We could.” Zelda nodded and Faustus leaned in to kiss her but before he could, Zelda yawned. Horrified, Zelda covered her mouth with her hand. “Oh, I’m so sorry.”
Faustus gently kissed her on the top of the head. “Don’t be. It’s been a long day, dearest. I’m tired too. I’m just going to take a fast shower before  bed.”
Zelda left the room, leaving Faustus to shower in peace. She placed the car seat on the bed, as Zelda found and threw on her gown and put a bottle in the microwave for Cordelia. After grabbing the diaper bag, Zelda changed her daughter and put her in a nighttime onesie. As she gently fought with the infant, Zelda got ahold of Cordelia’s chubby arm and stared at the crescent moon birthmark on the baby’s left wrist that she was not born with. The mark came when Cordelia was 2 days old during a ceremony called the presenting. At first, the family thought it may just be dirt but after a few days and a few baths later, it became clear that the birthmark was here to stay. Although both Ambrose and Faustus both tried to research the birthmark, they found nothing and they still had no idea what it all meant. Zelda was brought back to reality when a glass of gin and a cigarette magically showed up on the nightstand. She looked up and saw that Faustus was out of the shower and smiled down at her before he got the now ready bottle on the way to the bed. Once he got to the bed, he took Cordelia into his arms and fed her the bottle. Before Cordelia was even born, Faustus promised Zelda that he would try his very best to be an equal partner not only in their marriage but also in parenthood. So far, Zelda thought he was doing an excellent job. Zelda took a sip from her glass, kissed Cordelia on her forehead, and Faustus on his cheek before settling back, cigarette holder on her finger, remote in hand. She flipped through the channel for a little while until she happened upon an old black and white movie called the House of Wax. Zelda had a sudden urge to tease her husband.
“Oh, look Faustus, it’s your favorite actor.”
Faustus looked at the screen but frowned when he realized what he was looking at. “Oh, it’s only him.”
Zelda shook her head. “Will you ever stop being angry with Vincent Price?”
“Why should I?” Faustus asked. “The guy cheated off me all the time when we were all at school together. Good thing he became an actor, he would never make it as a warlock.”
Zelda smiled. “How did Dr. Cerberus take it when you told him that a horror star was one of us?”
Faustus laughed. “You should have seen his face.”
Zelda laughed too and because it was almost over, they decided to finish watching the movie. By the time the end credits were rolling, Cordelia was sound asleep in her basket as her parents were in each other’s arms, making out. Right as he was about to unbutton Zelda’s gown, Faustus stopped himself.
“I thought we were both too tired to do this night.”
Zelda smiled.  “Well, I must have gotten my 2nd wind. Of course, if you don’t want to”
Faustus smiled, pointed to the tv to magically close it, and then made love to his wife.
The witches’ council’s summit started sharply at 9 the next morning. Cordelia’s sitter arrived sharply at 8:30, but Zelda was still getting ready.
“Zelda, dearest, come on, we’ll be late.”
“Coming.”  Zelda came out of the bathroom and took Faustus’s breath away. Zelda wore a long-shelve black gown, her red hair was swept up in a bun. Magda’s pearls were at her throat. Zelda also wore the charm bracelet that Faustus gave her last Yule. Her fingers were bare, except for her wedding ring.  “Will I do?” Zelda asked.
“Do? You’re stunning, high priestess,” Faustus took his wife’s hand and kissed it. “Now, come on. We don’t want to be late.”
Turns out that they didn’t need to worry about being late.  The council’s main concern was the affairs of the church of night.  That took all morning and some of the afternoon. When the council finally got to the new faiths, Zelda was annoyed to learn that the order of Hecate was the very last on the list. Finally, at 5:30 pm, Zelda stood before the council after the announcer, who had been professional all day, laughed and stumbled over the words, high priestess. The council let some of the high priests go on for hours. Zelda got 20 minutes, barely even enough time to tell of the faith’s general information. On that 1st day of the summit, Zelda left feeling absolutely furious.
A few hours later, after checking on the baby, Zelda sat down with a glass of wine and her manifesto. The manifesto had been completed weeks ago and Zelda had committed it to memory just as quickly. Yet, Zelda kept reading it over and over, even she didn’t know why.  It was like a nervous tick. Anyway, Zelda had literally just sat down when her husband called out to her from the bathroom.
“Zelda! Will you come here a minute?”
“Faustus! I just sat down.” Zelda frowned.
“Please! It will only take a second.”
Zelda sighed as she got up and opened the bathroom door. “What do you want because-“  Zelda’s voice died away as she looked around the bathroom. The room was bathed in candlelight, with candles everywhere. The heart tub was filled with water and beside the tub were 2 filled champagne flutes with the bottle resting in an ice bucket nearby. It was only then that Faustus, who was hiding behind the door, appeared, in nothing but a towel and a smile.
“Faustus? What’s all this?” Zelda asked with a smile.
Her husband returned her smile. “Can’t a guy celebrate with his wife?” As he asked, Faustus walked to the glasses, he took a gulp out of 1 and offered the other.
She took the glass but was not happy. “There’s nothing to celebrate, really. I barely got any time in front of the council.”
“I disagree, dearest. We’re not celebrating anything to do with the council. We’re celebrating how proud I am of you for even coming here.  Zelda, I know you’re angry and you have every right to be but”
“But I should just let it go.” Zelda sighed.
Faustus shook his head. “No. That wasn’t what I was going to say, at all. I was actually thinking that you need to use that anger on the council. Today you tried to played by their rules and got nothing. Tomorrow, when you’re in front of the council, stand your ground, take whatever time you need to, make them feel what I feel when I’m with you.”
“And how’s that?”
“Honored just to be in the same room as you.”
Zelda smiled before she kissed Faustus deeply.
“If it pleases your excellency,” Faustus smiled. “I have been daydreaming all day of taking that dress off of you.”
“Permission granted.”
Faustus kissed her as he reached around to her back and unzipped the dress. As he slowly lowered it, he kissed all of her exposed skin. “You’re so beautiful, my 1st, last and only love. Sometimes, I think that you’re the goddess we should be worshipping.”
“You heretic!”  Zelda swatted his shoulder playfully.
Losing his patience, Faustus let the dress fall to the floor and with a single wave of his hand, Zelda’s underwear disappeared. Faustus then swept up the now naked Zelda into his arms and seated her in the tub. After taking off his towel, Faustus joined her in the bath. He reached for her and took Zelda into his lap. They were still kissing and petting each other when they both heard a baby crying.
Zelda sighed. “That would be Cordelia.”
Zelda started to move but Faustus stopped her. “I get her.” He kissed her. “Don’t you dare move.”
5 minutes later, Faustus came back into the bathroom, holding their daughter in front of him. “She needed a new diaper but she wanted Mommy.” He explained.
“Oh, Mommy’s right here, sweetheart.” Zelda purred during the handover.
Wearing only a diaper, Cordelia had a ball splashing in the water. Faustus got back in and magically added some bubble bath. The family enjoyed their bath time fun. Faustus and Zelda had no problem picking up their sexy time once Cordelia was in bed.
“The council recognizes the Order of He-Heca-Hecate and its hi-high pri-priestess, Zelda Spellman.”
Zelda shot the giggling idiot of an announcer a deadly stare as she passed him and stood at the platform before the council.
“Sister Zelda, we are truly surprised to see you back here.”
Zelda knew they only wanted to see a rise out of her but Zelda refused to give it to them. “Why is that, my lords? Is this not only the 2nd day of a 6-day summit?”
“Damn it, woman!” Snapped the 2nd of the 8 council members. “Do we have to spell it out for you! You are not welcome here! The only reason we allowed you to speak yesterday was out of respect for your brother.”
“My work has nothing to do with Edward!” Zelda said firmly.
“Pity.” Sighed council member #4. “And with that, we lost any interest in you.” #4 gestured to the announcer to escort Zelda back to her seat but Zelda held up her hand and the announcer was back in his own chair so fast, it rocked.
“I am not finished!”
“Oh yes, you are!” Boomed #1.
“I don’t understand, my lords. I mean, why hold a summit at all if you’re not open to listening to new ideas?”
“Oh, we are open to listening to new ideas,” Reassured #2. “But only by men, you know, the ones with experience.”
“Experience?” Suddenly, Zelda had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. “No disrespect to the other coven leaders, but some of these men are so young, they could be mistaken for 1 of my academy students. I wouldn’t be surprised if they never even spoke to a high priest. I, however, grew up not with 1 high priest but 2, my brother and my husband.”
“Which brings us to a valid point,” Stated #1. “Why should we support you when your own husband doesn’t?”
“Who told you that? That is an out and out lie!” Zelda snapped.
“Faustus Blackwood, come before us! Faustus Blackwood, come before us! Faustus Blackwood, come before us!” All the council chanted.
From his place way, way, in the back, Faustus sighed, rolled his eyes, got up, and went to join his wife.  “Did you get my letter, my lord?” He asked.
“We did,” confirmed #1.
“Then you fully know that my name is Faustus Spellman. Now, what’s this nonsense about me not supporting my wife?”
Council member #4 snapped his fingers and an image appeared before the council as if  by an invisible projector. The image was of the academy’s office. They could also see Zelda, Sabrina, and Faustus in the scene but it was only Faustus spoke, “there will never be a high priestess of the church of night.”
#4 snapped his fingers again and the image disappeared. “Do you deny that you made that statement, brother Faustus?”
“I did say that,” Faustus answered. “But that was when that curse, I wrote to you about, was getting stronger each day. Anyway, I was right; there is no high priestess of the church of night.”
Zelda gave her husband a sideways glance. Where was he going with this?
“But there will be a high priestess in the Order of Hecate. I misspoke, there already is a high priestess in the Order of Hecate and if it is Hecate’s will, there may be many more, not for many, many years, of course.” Faustus smiled at her and Zelda felt herself falling deeper in love with a man she already adored.
“We’re getting sidetracked,” muttered #5. “This is just a lame attempt to get you sorry self back into power.”
“Hey, you the ones who called me up here,” Faustus pointed out. “I assure you; I have no desire for power and all of Zelda’s hard work is strictly her own.”
“So, you do support your wife in this?” #4 wanted to know. “Would you, for example, ever consider being baptized into the order of Hecate?”
“I already have.  About 2 months ago.”
“Who performed the ceremony?” demanded #5.
“I did.” Answered Zelda.
“You?” #1 snorted. “We haven’t given you permission to be ordained yet, let alone perform rites like baptism.”
“Well, it worked.”  Zelda shrugged. “Hecate gave Faustus his magic back right then.  Also, I didn’t come here for permission, I came here to inform you as a professional courtesy.”
#2 smirked. “I think you overstated your abilities, Sister Zelda.”
“I think that the mighty council is afraid to work with a woman.”
#1 looked as if he just smelled something foul. “That’s not true.”
Zelda’s eyebrow rose.  “Oh no? You call yourself the witches council and yet…there is not a single witch among you.”
Council member #3 shifted in his seat but it was #2 who spoke next. “A high priestess who performs rites and who thinks she doesn’t need our approval? What’s next? Did she write her own manifesto?”
Zelda knew he was mocking her but she went on regardless. “As a matter of fact, I did.” Zelda took some papers out of a leather parchment.  “These are the 5 facets of Hecate,” Zelda began.
1. As they are all the beloved children of our beloved dark mother, Hecate, witches and warlocks are and must be equal.” The crowd grew noisy with outrage. Yet, Zelda went on. “They share a common culture, education, and home. Rewards will be earned by individuals, not gender.
2.  Feelings, such as love, friendship, kindness and tenderness are right, just and not only for mortals. One should care for one’s family and friends as one cares for oneself.
3. Witches may reveal themselves to mortals. However, with the tragedies of the Greendale 13 and the Salem witch trials in mind, they are encouraged to do so with extreme caution.
4. Our rites and holidays, especially those that includes blood and cannibalism will be revised.
5. No much how troubled, no soul deserves to abandoned or left behind. These are our mother’s words and we will follow them as faithfully as we will Hecate.”
#1 shook his head and frowned. “Most of what you said is heresy, Sister Zelda.”
“Mother Spellman.”
“What?”
“Every high priest is called father and his surname. Why should I expect any less?”
“Why should you expect anything at all?” Demanded #2. “Whose support do you have?”
“My coven’s,” Zelda replied.
“The Greendale coven will follow whoever we say.”
“No, we won’t.”
Everyone turned to see who spoke and Zelda was surprised to see Malcolm White, a shy warlock from home.
“Brother Malcolm? What are you doing here?” asked Zelda.
“I have a friend from another coven, whose high priest is attending this very summit. We got to talking and it turns out that you need a member of the coven to serve as a character witness. Since you never mentioned this, we wondered if you even knew.”
“No, I didn’t,” Zelda frowned and turned back to face the council.  “You never told me I needed a witness but I know why you did it. To discredit me, to make me look unprofessional and unready and even worse, to make it look like none of my own coven supported me.”
“Witness day is tomorrow, Mother Spellman,” was all #1 could say.
“You were amazing, dearest, simply amazing. Have I told you yet just how proud I am of you?”
“Only about a dozen times, Faustus, but who’s counting?” Zelda smiled.
An hour after Zelda’s big showdown with the council, today’s session was over. After thanking him for coming all the way to Rome, Faustus and Zelda got an extra hotel room for Malcolm, who kindly offered to be Zelda’s witness for the next day. As Zelda got Malcolm settled, Faustus went out to get them some take-out pasta for dinner. Dinner was just winding down when Faustus smiled, stood and went to his wife.
“Well, I am proud of you and I don’t care if I have to say it 1000 times.” Faustus kissed Zelda on top of the head and then on her lips. Zelda stood up, deepening the kiss. Just as Faustus was thinking of taking his wife to bed, there was a knock at the door.
“I get it,” Faustus sighed. He went to the door and used the peephole. “Oh Hecate! It’s Brother Maxwell! What’s he doing here?”
Zelda knew that Brother Maxwell was #3 in the council lineup today. What she didn’t know was what he was doing here. “Let him in,” she told Faustus and as her husband did so, Zelda took a gulp of wine from her glass before greeting their guest. “Brother Maxwell, to what do we owe this unexpected pleasure?”
“Please forgive my visit at this late hour,” Said Maxwell “but I was really impressed with your report today.”
“Thank you.”
“No, I mean really impressed. I’ve seen women stand up for themselves before but never quite like that. I knew you were special when you pointed out that there are no witches on the witches council. Before you, only the great queen Elizabeth, dare bring it up. In fact, after much thought, I decided to let you in on my deepest secret.”
Zelda had no idea what Maxwell was referring to so she just nodded.
Maxwell let his eyes drift over to Faustus. “Is he trustworthy?”
“Yes,” Zelda said immediately. “I trust my husband completely.”
“I just can’t be too careful with my secret,” Maxwell explained. “You see, I’m not what I seem. All of this,” Maxwell used both his hands to gesture all over his body. “This is just a glamour. In fact, my name isn’t even Maxwell, it’s Maxine.” He snapped his fingers and instantly transformed from a white-haired, dark robbed old man into a blond-haired woman who looked about Faustus and Zelda’s age.
“You’re a witch,” Zelda said in disbelief.
“You’re a witch, who has a seat on the council.” Added Faustus.
“Yes,” Maxine said proudly. “And thanks to my glamour spell, I had that seat for over 3 centuries.”
Zelda was confused. “The other council members don’t know?”
“Or even suspect?” added Faustus.
“Oh, dark lord, no!” Maxine remarked. “Those unholier than thou idiots can’t see anything beyond their own dicks!”
There was giggling coming from the hallway.
“You’re not alone?” asked Zelda.
“It’s alright, girls. You can come in now,” Maxine called out.
3 more witches appeared in the room.
“These are my 3 closest advisers,” Maxine explained. “There are 11 of us altogether. We formed our own council called the sisterhood. I report back to my sisters after every council meeting.  Every now and then, we find a person or a group that we get really excited about something that I, or rather, Brother Maxwell, pushes extra hard for the witches council to approve of. You, Mother Spellman, and the order of Hecate had the sisterhood’s full support.”
“I’m honored,” It was all Zelda could say while trying to process all this new information.
“This is wonderful,” Faustus smiled. “I think this call for drinks all around.”
10 minutes later, there was a glass in each hand. Zelda, Faustus, Maxine, and 1 of the advisors were talking. The other 2 advisors went over to admire Cordelia in her basket but then they saw something.
“Maxine! This child bears the mark of the divine!”
Before either Zelda or Faustus could react, Maxine was by the baby, staring down at Cordelia’s crescent moon birthmark. “Where did you find this child?” she demanded of the couple.
“What do mean ‘find her?’” Zelda demanded back. “She ours.”
Maxine shook her head. “That’s impossible. That would mean” She didn’t finish her thought before turning her head. “Come, sisters, we must get this babe to somewhere safe before the council discovers her.”
Zelda felt shock and rage pulse through her body as she watched Maxine take Cordelia into her arms. As Maxine and her crew started for the door, Zelda stood in the way and took her baby back.
“There’s no way you’re leaving this room with my daughter!” Zelda snapped. “I already had to give up 1 baby girl. It isn’t happening again.”
Maxine sighed. “We have no time for this! That child needs to be protected.”
“I will protect her! I’m her mother!” Zelda shrieked.
“This child bears the mark of the divine. Do you even know what that means?”
“I don’t care if it means she’s the 2nd coming of Hecate, you are not taking my child!”
Now, ignoring Zelda completely, Maxine reached for Cordelia. However, Maxine was only able to touch the soft fabric of the baby blanket before she and her friends were body slammed up against the wall. It was an attack done by a furious Faustus.
“I’ll be damned if I let someone take a 3rd child of mine away! You 4 ladies are leaving right now. Either you can go by your own free will or I can deliver your dead bodies to the sisterhood!”
“If anything happens to me, the council will look into it,” Maxine warned.
“Then I guess I’ll have to kill them too!”
Maxine looked to Zelda. “Are you just going to stand there and let him talk to us like that?”
“Of course not. I would help him in the slaughter.”
“Give me that baby or you can forget about being a high priestess!”
Zelda shook her head. “If you truly knew me, you would know that’s no true threat! Now, get out!”
They left then and Faustus locked the door and performed a sealing spell for good measure. Zelda only managed to sit down before her legs gave out.
“So, what did they call it again?”
Faustus had put Ambrose and Prudence on speakerphone so he could bathe Cordelia and give her a night bottle. “They called it the mark of the divine. It must be a very big deal because 1 moment the sisterhood was praising Zelda and the next, they only wanted the baby.”
“We’ll try to help, uncle Faustus,” said Ambrose “but we only have home and the academy’s resources, you have all of Rome!”
“I know” Faustus agreed. “Your Aunt Zelda had been gone for over 3 hours, searching for answers. I offered to go but Zelda said the council’s library would easily buy her lie about being unprepared.”
“Yep, sound about right.” Muttered Prudence. “As Ambrose said, Father, we’ll try to find some information but we’re just about to start another school day and every teacher is already stressed to the limit.”
“Dang it, I forgot about the time change!”
It was right then that Faustus heard the door open and close. “It’s alright, children, I found the answers we need. Just focus on your school duties and we’ll see you all on Sunday.” Said Zelda
After exchanging goodbyes and pressing the button to hang up the phone, Zelda tossed her purse on the bed and when to the bar to fix herself a drink. Faustus, who was still feeding Cordelia, studied his wife from the bed. Had she been crying?
“Dearest, what’s wrong?” Faustus asked very gently. “What did you find, Zelda?”
“Do you remember when I said I didn’t care if Cordelia was the 2nd coming of Hecate?”
Faustus was confused. “Yes?”
“Well, I was close.”
“What?”
Zelda sighed, downed the rest of her drink, and when to sit beside her husband.  “Thousands of years ago, the Greek gods fell into disgrace, Hecate among them. Hecate was able to send her 2 beloved grandchildren, a pair of cousins, 1 male and 1 female to earth. Because they were both of Hecate’s bloodline, they both had magic.  The cousins didn’t get along and soon parted ways. The male cousin was lucky enough to settle in a village that accepted both him and his magic. The villagers even gave him a good-natured nicknamed, ‘the man who spells.’ His descendants would later take the surname, Spellman. The female cousin, meanwhile, had less luck with her life. People feared her because of her magic, the father of her child ran out on her.  One day, some say out of spite, others say it was an accident, the female cousin bought down a thunderclap that started a wild forest fire. From that day on, she was known as ‘the lady of the blacken woods.’ Her family took the surname, Blackwood. Do you understand, Faustus? You and I are direct descendants of the 2 most ancient bloodlines in the history of magic. I looked it up and the cousins are the 2nd and 3rd witches, after Lilith but before Cain.”
“Then why aren’t they more well-known?” asked Faustus.
“I think it’s because some people think Greek gods are myths. Anyway, there’s a prophecy. If a Spellman and a Blackwood marry and have their own child, it will be Hecate’s bloodline reborn. The babe will grow up to be the most powerful witch ever born.”
After Faustus finished burping her, Zelda took Cordelia into her arms.
“It’s said that Hecate will recognize her bloodline during the child’s presenting and will bless her with the mark of the divine, a crescent moon birthmark, that proves that Cordelia is of Hecate’s true bloodline and will be the greatest witch to ever walk the earth.”
Finished with her tale, Zelda gently fingered her daughter’s birthmark as her eyes filled with tears. “Faustus, I’m so scared. They’ll never let us leave Rome with Cordelia now. I stupidly believed because I gave birth to her, I would get to keep the child this time.”
“Shh, Zelda,” Faustus put an arm around his wife and kissed her brow as Zelda’s put her head on his shoulder. “No one is going to take Cordelia away from us, not ever. I don’t care if we have to smuggle our daughter back to Greendale and sleep in shifts for the rest of our days to keep an eye on her. We are Spellmans, remember? We do what is right.”
Zelda’s proud smile broke into a deep yawn. “I should be worried sick, I mean, I am worried sick but at the same time, I can barely keep my eyes open.”
“Well, it’s no wonder, dearest.  Today alone, you went through a full day summit meeting plus your brilliant showdown with the council, then the meeting with the sisterhood and then over 3 and half hours of research with only the words, the mark of the divine, to work with and then you came back and explain it all to me. I say that’s a long day, Zelda. Zelda?”  He looked down to see that Zelda had already fallen asleep against his shoulder. He succeeded in gently ease her off him but when he tried to take the baby, Zelda awoke with a start.
“No! I want Cordelia near me tonight!”
Faustus placed his lips to hers. “She will be, dearest. Just give me a moment to get her, and you, settled.  Lay down, my love.”
Zelda did as he asked, handing him the baby and lying down, fully clothed on the still made bed.  Meanwhile, Faustus laid Cordelia in her basket. Looking around, Faustus took 2 suitcase stands and placed both of them near Zelda’s side of the bed and placed Cordelia’s basket on top of them, placing the baby next to her mother. With a wave of Faustus’s hand, Zelda’s clothes disappeared and were replaced by her nightgown. A snap and Zelda was under the covers. Faustus finished tucking in his wife and daughter with a kiss.
Zelda fell asleep immediately and remained deeply asleep for hours until Cordelia cried out for a bottle. Zelda opened her eyes, stretched, sat up in bed, took the baby into her arms and gave her the bottle. As Cordelia fed, and Zelda became more awake, she realized that Faustus wasn’t in bed beside her nor did she think he was in the bathroom.
“Where is your father?” Zelda asked Cordelia and laughed when her daughter’s only answer was to wriggle her nose. Zelda looked up when she heard the door open.
Faustus smiled. “Hello, my girls.”
“Where have you been, Faustus? It’s not even dawn yet.”
Faustus crossed the room and sat on the bed. “I’ve been talking with Maxine for 4 hours and I think we reached a compromise regarding Cordelia.”
Zelda was shocked. “What?! How did you even know where to find her?”
“Oh, I used a tracking spell on the glass she was using earlier, led me right to her. Anyway, the reason it took so long was that, at first, I couldn’t get her to listen. I mean, the 1st hour alone was just me repeating how, no matter what, Cordelia will be going home with us on Sunday.  Once I allowed Maxine to perform a DNA spell on me, proving that we are indeed Cordy’s parents, she became much more…reasonable. Eventually, we reached a compromise. You and I will go home, raise our daughter as we see fit, and just occasionally report in with the sisterhood about her magical development. Don’t worry,” Faustus added when he saw Zelda’s frown, “I didn’t promise Maxine anything. I just said I would talk to you and we would talk to her together.”
Zelda shook her head. “It’s not that, Faustus. I agree that it’s a good compromise and I would have taken it too but we know nothing about the sisterhood. How can we be sure that they wouldn’t back out of the deal?”
“Excellent point, my love and 1 I’ve already considered. That’s why I called in a favor from an old friend and he gave me this.” Faustus gave Zelda a folded piece of paper.
“A suggestion spell?”
“Yes, if they try to take Cordelia away from us again, we perform this spell, suggest that they never saw the mark of the divine and that will be true for them.”
Zelda smiled. “You, my husband, are brilliant and I love you.”
Zelda had nothing to fear. Maxine had every intention of keeping her word. Both with the compromise and pushing Zelda for the council. She even apologized about the sisterhood’s behavior. She even laughed when the suggestion spell fell out of Faustus’s pocket. Later that week, Zelda found herself using magic to protect herself when part of the council got ‘handsy’ like 1 of them was with Hilda once. Thankfully, Faustus and ‘brother Maxwell’ found them in time. Zelda declined her husband’s offer of breaking the council members’ necks but she did agree for Maxine had to use the suggestion spell on the council so that they would vote Zelda in as a high priestess and it worked.
On their last day in Rome, Zelda was ordained as a high priestess of the Order of Hecate. The ceremony was private, witnessed only by the council. Faustus was a former high priest and knew all about the vows to protect the coven and order, her forehead marked and she signed her name on a document making the Order of Hecate a true and legal religion according to witch law. After the ceremony, there was a traditional ball to celebrate.
As they waltzed together around the floor, Faustus beamed at his wife. “You look  so beautiful tonight, your excellency.”
“Thank you.”
“You know, Zelda, I can’t believe it was 17 years ago when I was dancing with Constance at my own celebrational ball and I remembering thinking how badly I wanted you in my arms.”
“It’s amazing how things can change in just 17 years.”
“I think we should go now,” Faustus whispered.
Zelda was confused. “The ball just started. Why do you want to leave?”
“This is the last night of not only the summit but also our honeymoon and I have a double surprise for you.”
“Wow!” They went to a grotto 20 minutes outside the city and Zelda was amazed. The blue-green water was so still the lake looked like a mirror.
“It’s so beautiful down here.”
“I found it 50 years ago and I promise myself I would bring you here someday.” Faustus kissed Zelda.
“What’s else?”
“What?”
“You said it was a double surprise.”
Faustus smiled and started to unbutton his shirt.
“I’ve seen that before,” Zelda teased.
“No, you haven’t” Faustus took off his shirt and Zelda saw that his church of night tattoo was gone and in its place was a hollowed-out heart. Inside the heart were words and numbers. When Zelda took a closer look, her own heart melted. The words were actually names, the names of Faustus’s children in birth order, Prudence, Letitia, Judas, and Cordelia. The numbers beside the names were their birth dates. At the bottom of the heart, Zelda saw her own name and 2 dates; their actual anniversary and the date of their vow renewal.
“Like it?” Faustus asked.
“Like it? I may have to get 1 of those myself.”
“Ruin your flawless skin with ink? I don’t think so.”
They skinny-dipped and made love twice. Once in the water and again on the shore. The next day saw them on a plane, going home. Zelda was exhausted from her busy week so she slept a lot on the flight. Zelda was grateful as she held her baby close and with her husband beside her, she was happy they were all together.
The sun was just setting when Zelda and Faustus got to the Spellman house.
“Sabrina! Ambrose! We’re home!” Zelda called out.
However, it was Hilda who came out of the kitchen. “Zelds? Thank Hecate, you are home. We tried to reach you at the hotel, this morning, but you had already left.”
“Why Hildie? What wrong?”
“Dezmelda died this morning.”
Zelda was sad to hear it. She had been fond of the wood witch and unsuccessfully tried to convince her to rejoin the coven. Yet Hilda wouldn’t have called Rome just to tell her of the old witch’s death. Zelda sensed that there was more and she was right.
“When they went to her hut, they discovered that Dezmelda wasn’t living alone. She kind of had a roommate,” Hilda explained.
Prudence then came out with said ‘roommate’, and when Zelda saw who it was, her eyes widened and her heart leaped into her throat.
“Letitia?”
