Last episode on Darkening Spires, the VtM Dark ages Oxford game:

Father Emir had some penance to pay to God, in the form of flagellation, each sting of the whip giving him more and more insight into a vision about his sire.

His loyal ghoul, Æthelfrid was a witness, for the first time, shocked to see the act and the amount of blood pooling on the floor beneath his beloved regent.

There was a knock on the Church door. The keeper, the man dear to his heart, Tertius was at the door, with his recently liberated childe, Safiyya. She was on a journey of penance of her own, currently fasting.

A hungry Gangrel who can't control herself, faced with a bloodied priest will only end one way. Frenzy.

Everyone came out uninjured, save for a cut along Tertius' neck as he held his daughter back from devouring his lover.

Emir was asked to watch her for a few hours, but Tertius wasn't sure it was a good idea after all of that. The priest assured him it was fine.

Once the keeper left, Emir sat down with a very fluffy hyena lady, having a deep conversation about God and how she's going to be okay in the end, Emir is here to help her with her penance in on a more suitable path for her nature.

The two shared a prayer, and the beginning of a bond.

You never forget your first love.

Although I've moved onto other doctors I'll never forget my childhood love for the 11th Doctor. I think anyone who even remotely likes the Eleventh Doctor (and actually even if you don't) should listen to these two box sets.

They are absolutely fantastic, and are a great jumping on point for the audio stuff. Yes it isn't actually Matt Smith in the role sadly, but Jacob Dudman's performance is so good it's uncanny. To quote Briggs "He sounds more like Matt Smith than Matt Smith". Also there's a brand new companion, Valarie who is absolutely kick ass and you will be upset that she wasn't actually in the show.

how well would my characters do against a cockroach

Lar. His last job involved fighting monsters that include giant bugs but normal roaches are uh, much faster and smaller. Kinda hard to stab. Struggles for a few minutes before he can get his sword into it. 6/10

Fel. Also hunted giant bugs but unlike Lar she had a normal life before that so she just squishes it. 9/10 because she saw how Lar dealt with his cockroach but just watched and laughed

Niara. Immediately incinerates it with magic. Left a burn mark on the floor so 7/10

Faris. Screams like a little girl and has to call a guard to deal with it. (The guard is Fel and she told Lar and Niara and they're not letting him live that down) 1/10

Alaric I. Appears wholly unbothered by the roach. 10/10

Artoria. Also just incinerates it. Niara had to learn from somewhere. 7/10

Riku. Would pick up the cockroach to feed it to his dragons later. 11/10

Safiyya. Picks up the roach and puts it on someone else (probably Artoria). 12/10
