Heather convincing gwen to vote for leshawna because it would look really lame of her if she didnt. it would hint more to the audience that gwen actually cares A Whole Lot about her appearances and how people perceive her (since a lot of people think thats a super thrown on attribute for her to have in all stars) and it would paint gwen as less of a saint

i have a big problem with the way gwen is portrayed to the audience. The writers want her to look like this misunderstood girl so shes painted as this dick in canon but theres nothing about her thats like... even bad until s3 (s2 too with the whole breaking up with trent) but even then gwen was NOT in the wrong for that shit idc.

I think the meanest thing i can recall her doing is calling lindsay an idiot in episode one, when EVERYONE is caught off guard with the state of what wawanakwa is like. Her being in a bad mood is literally the normalest shit that happens in this show im sorry. this show cannot convince me gwen is a bad person, unless it did this. WHICH WOULD BE MILES MORE INTERESTING THAN HOW SHE IS IN CANON. gwen is so fucking BORING DUDE I HATE IT. let this girl be fucked up and insane and EVIL.

If they made gwen stab one of her friends in the back because of her own insecurity it would tackle like the two biggest gripes about the way she is in canon. It would set up her being this insecure freak more (there was also the episode geoff got eliminated. her disliking that geoff wouldnt like her according to her own insecurity but that was also tacked on as fuck) AND it would make her do something actually note worthily bad because of it. she could be actually painted as this underdog in the finale, especially if there were even less people on her side because of that. like seriously. why would half of the people that are on owens team be on owens team besides just being forced on there to make gwen seem like more of a loser. i dont remember owen interacting with majority of them and a lot of them dont seem like the party type. courtney comes to mind but also ezekiel (i guess hes sexist and thats the reasoning i forgot about that) and fuckin idk tyler and harold. AND EVEN THEN....... they didnt know about the party thing. lindsay switched teams when she heard about the party thing. idk maybe im just misremembering about the lack of interactions between characters.

and parallel to the way gwen didnt even vote trent out when he was framed for cheating, leshawna could have seen that heather framed gwen as well. (i think it suits leshawnas character miles better to be forgiving idk. like tda can push this agenda that leshawna is secretly awful but that shit is so unreal to me) gwen could be thinking all day next episode about how bad she feels about voting for leshawna, for letting her insecurities get the better of her, but Gwen and leshawna could make up and be bffs again in the finale. would it be too much to have this thing between both gwent and gweshawna in the same episode? idk maybe. im here to spitball not to be an actual writer (if i were to be an actual writer i would fix gwent from being terribly and awfully executed throughout literally the entire season. pacing issues eaughh.)

this isnt even mentioning how bullshit leshawnas actual canonical elimination is but its talked to death so im not talking about it because i dont really care enough i cant lie.

i hate the writing in tdi so much sometimes actually though. Courntey and Duncan are so much more than toxic exes... they are human to me.

They are both sides of the same coin that am aware of is my own soul.

Basically, this ship not all that to you but to me, Courtney is just like me in the need of PERFECT!

I crashed and failed for many years to finally get I was drowning and dying to be loved and comfort by the wrong person and my family doesn't see me as human but legacy to continue.

I love them a lot.

Courtney needs help with therapy like Duncan.

Basically they made me realize my childhood up bringing and more is not my fault but it is my fault for hitting. sprialing, and losing my sense of my reality because of no one offered to help me or realizing I was getting abused at home by own flesh and blood.

The abuse can become abusers sadly.

We don't need you to deem us as crazy abusive exes, sometimes we need to be left alone to grow and health, more help understanding what we were taught was wrong.

I was a bad person I blew up things like Duncan with fire and hit others in the name of justice I said to myself like Courtney but end of the day.

I will not be seen as not a martyr. But death and the villain of itself in most people's stories!

But I will still be branded off as abusive and awful even if I was trying to defend myself or walk away from the fight.

It's hard out here especially when we love and adopt TD characters to represent ourselves out here.

Mostly I relate to Duncan more in chaos and Courtney in cry and tantrums because I get too overwhelmed to speak with my brain goes time to scream and rage now! As a teenager I was more of mini-Duncan with a mess of Courtney Action you saw!

Yes, I am getting help now, I am being diagnosed with stuff (OH ACT SHOCK!!) and I will take therapy and pills as needed.

The point is we can spare a bit humanity along the way, F U you to your abusive partners, and I am not telling you stay with them or humanize them!

RUN AWAY AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM TOO!

From someone who barely escaped they're on and off again abusive relationship. I was the "Courtney" in the relationship but behind closed doors he was awful, I cried so much, and he told me to die often but the world only saw a teenager girl and young adult me acting like "COURTNEY" and didn't help me but blamed me for it.

I did my first session of therapy in long time and I saw post the Courtney pushed to only to the role of "crazy abusive ex" of Duncan's which is harsh especially I have to live through it still.

It's embarrassing at 24 years old people act like I chained up my ex-boyfriend to be with me and that I was the controlling abuser when they don't know the whole story or how much he threatened to off himself or me if I left him. Then he cheats on me through the whole relationship, and I have to stay in it because I loved him and feared him.

Duncan wasn't like my ex.

And Courtney wasn't like me.

But I love them because they are just silly characters and ship that I enjoy and work through my own bullshit. And say I did love a lot but no more to that, but I can love again in forms in these silly dumb cartoons and make them kiss sometimes as fanfic writer!

Anyway, love you all and sorry for ranting my nonsense again peace out girl scouts but mother nature needs to be saved with love and money these days-sadly no money, but I can clean up the beaches and feed the stray cats now!

I listen to a lot of music while writing. Most recently. Glitter and Gold (Barnes Courtney), High Hopes (Panic! At the Disco), and The Saints II (Dirty Poor Robins) have all been playing on repeat.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

Nope can't answer this one. Look there was a time not too long ago when I thought I would absolutely never in my life write about Threshold. And then @voyagerihardlyknowher when and made the most beautiful AU and it changed my life and look what happened, I wrote a trope I thought I never would. So I can't say there's something I'd never write. Because I have been proven delightfully wrong before.

🎯 Have any of your readers accurately guessed major plot points? Care to share which?

People have definitely guessed some before. I love to leave hints and foreshadowing to see if people will pick up on it. I love when people get it right. I also love reading the ones who get it delightfully wrong.

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

If you get a beta or a commenter and their comments make you want to never write again, that person is doing it wrong, and you can go ahead and ignore whatever they say. Find people who see your vision and inspire you to keep reaching for it. Find the ones who will enjoy how you write right now, or who understand what you actually want help with.

😬 Which of your fics would you be most horrified for friends, family, or coworkers to stumble upon?

Definitely the tentacle fic. I made a whole separate AO3 account so none of you would find that. ;) No regrets.

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Undiluted Horror and Fluff aren't my cup of tea. I prefer them mixed into fun cocktails with Adventure/Thriller and Angst and Hurt/Comfort.

Since I've been on a streak of mediocrity in my reading lately, I decided to choose some of my favorite LGBTQ+ novels of all time for this post rather than keeping it strictly recent. (Trust me, these are better.)

L: The Dead and the Dark by Courtney Gould This is both one of my favorite YA horror novels and, coincidentally, one of my favorite wlw romances of all time. It's wonderfully creepy and good on the representation in other ways (mlm and poc), including a Gay Dads ghost hunting show that I fervently wish was a real thing.

G: I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson I love this book a ridiculous amount, and I've read and reread it enough times to have sections of it memorized. Noah and Brian's mlm romance is hugely complicated by the fact that neither of them are out yet, and it's one of the most beautifully handled mutual pining stories I've ever read--plus gorgeous writing, and lovable, heartbreaking characters.

B: Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales Representation is so important, and I've never felt seen in a novel like I did in this one. I love having a bisexual main character who has both male and female love interests in the story (but no love triangle trope, don’t worry). I’ve read books with bi mc’s before, but never one that so directly addresses bi erasure and not feeling “queer enough” to be in queer spaces.

T: Not Your Villain by C.B. Lee This is technically the second book in the Sidekick Squad series, but you should be reading it anyway for its excellent rep in the cast of main characters. Bells is one of my favorite trans characters ever, complete with cool shapeshifting superpowers and a sweet, heartfelt best friend crush.

Q: Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton This has one of my favorite poly ships ever with the three main characters: Mairwen, the witch, Ruhn, the saint, and Arthur, the outcast. It also includes spooky woods, lurking monsters, a dash of witchcraft, and some complex examinations of gender identities.

I: Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire It's hard to go wrong with the Wayward Children series, and McGuire always delivers on the diversity and representation. When Regan faces challenges in being intersex in the human world, she escapes through a doorway to an equine world that accepts her as she is, complete with major Horse Girl vibes, found family, and my personal favorite murder horse, the kelpie.

A: Radio Silence by Alice Oseman Oseman's prose and characters are an absolute delight, and this is one of the most beautiful friendship stories I've ever read, with one of my favorite asexual characters, Aled. I love the way friendships are never discounted as "less" than romance in this book, and there's an excellent celebration and critique of Tumblr/fandom culture.

+: Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller We know if there's an assassin character to be found anywhere, I'm going to love them the most. Sal is a genderfluid thief who joins an audition to be one of the Queen's Left Hand, a group of the most elite and feared assassins in the kingdom. There's also a clever, worthy love interest in Elise.

Jenny Was a Friend of Mine by The Killers. So, I’ve been working on a new fic (@cookietastic and I might be conspiring together again lol) and this song really fit the theme.

Mr. Brightside by The Killers. Fair warning: there are gonna be a lot of songs from their Hot Fuss album on this list because, for some reason, it just fits the Vibes of this fic.

Smile Like You Mean It by The Killers. These lyrics were stuck in my head earlier this week: “And someone is playing a game in the house that I grew-up in. Bones by Imagine Dragons. This song is another one I listen to a ton when I'm writing. This and "Daniel" are my go-to songs for when I edit too. Somehow, they stop my attention span from vanishing.

Also, if you've got Groudon already, did your Maxie also take damage in the process? My dad got cursed and has burn scars on his entire right side from the neck on to his knees. According to him they apparently still sting, even 27 years later (0_0 )

Okay, I’m okay! Alright i have answers!

Regarding our current team relations, Team Aqua and Team Magma are officially under a region oath truce. Archie and Maxie are slowly but surely getting along again with group therapy. As for team admins, we have been begrudgingly spending more time together. So it’s been a process, Courtney didn’t take the adjustment very well due to certain events-

And as for the awakening question! The effects of the red orb are strong, primal reversion isn’t exclusive to groudon and kyogre. That’s why we have spent so much time and effort into perfecting our protective gear! Like our gloves!…but when you awaken a god, you might underestimate the power- the effects of the red orb seeped through the leather. Thankfully- leader maxie did not go through primal possession. But he does have primal scarring from his hand to his elbow on his dominant side.

These markings do have after effects much like healed broken bones, for instance after Courtney’s run in with primal possession we learned how extreme the water sensitivity can be! But that dull burning never truly leaves according to their reports. Maxie isn’t too open about his pains (other than his spine) so that’s all I know

American Blood - Passion Pit. new music from passion pit my best friend passion pit???? in 2023??? yes and he nails it again <3

Pink Pony Club - Chappell Roan. this one is brand new to me - I attended a burlesque show and one of the performers danced to this song - but it's SUCH an earworm. it's also conveniently right in my vocal range so i've been singing it a lot.

Hot Pink - Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird. my local college radio station played this song a while back and this entire album has been on repeat ever since, but this one is still my fave. the singer's voice is so deep and rich.

Kids with Guns - Gorillaz. currently making and listening to a playlist for my beloved OC Nimble, who was raised in a crime family and started holding a gun at a pretty young age.

Capacity - Charly Bliss. another band with a really distinct lead singer, but in the opposite direction - both girlish and grungy, high and tinged with vocal fry. the rest of the band also slaps.

songs 9 and 10 on my list are repeat artists (another Charly Bliss song and another Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird) so I'm breaking the pattern to plug two songs from lower on the list. Cold Cold Man by Saint Motel has been stuck in my head for days (that piano opening is so catchy!), and Can't Behave by Courtney Jaye is my current go to sing in the shower song - this is another one gifted to me by the campus radio station and shazam.

found your posts on exposingcourtneylove after stumbling across the blog while researching courtney and then checking if its like, legit and jesus fuck that blog seems like an absolute mess. i was really scared at first when i saw it since they used such convincing language and preached about sources etc and accused c of such awful stuff. i know shes not like a saint and has done awful things, but making up shit (or twisting the truth) to that extent, absolute weirdo behaviour, glad they dont seem to be around anymore

no fr like implying that Kurt was date raped into having Frances or that he didn’t want her or that Krist wanted him to die or that everybody was using him/nobody cared abt him….Kurt was a victim of his MANAGEMENT. Kurt was a victim of his fame. He was not a victim of his friends/his family(unless you count the trauma his parents contributed which….I definitely do, but that doesn’t mean they killed him) like.

here’s the lowdown on Courtney from a seasoned vet; she got pregnant too young, at a bad time, when she hadn’t really solidified herself within her career and hadn’t dealt with her issues. she was hard on Kurt and pushed him to do shit he didn’t want to do, I think, and this is conjecture, she pushed him bc she was unhappy and envious about where her career was. both of them had a baby too young and before they knew if their marriage would work, and both of them committed to having a child while being heavily addicted to drugs.

my one huge complaint abt how Courtney treated Kurt is that I do think she cheated on him. he was obsessed with the concept due to his own insecurities, but multiple trusted sources (specif Cali, Frances’ ex-nanny) came forward and said that they believed that Court was cheating, or had cheated, but probably didn’t think it was cheating bc she was from the California punk circuit where it wasn’t an affair unless it was sex- if an “affair” even mattered at all. Kurt, like myself, was a romantic, small-town, shy little dude. He wanted total monogamy- this was also an issue/sticking point with Tobi Vail so I’m not just projecting lmao.

I think Courtney contributed to the situation in which he killed himself by not addressing his concerns/not respecting their relationship but she was not responsible. He was a lot more powerful than he knew and he could have gotten out of all of the difficult situations that he found himself in, though it would’ve been monumentally hard. Kurt killed himself because he did what we have all done, and what has endangered all of our lives so many times; he gave up on HIMSELF. Courtney May Not have been a good wife (again this is all speculation; she has never admitted to cheating) but she didn’t kill him. She didn’t rape him. They just got married too young after being crazily in love and found themselves in a shitty, weird situation once they had to confront adulthood. I got engaged at 16; I remember this bullshit. It happens.
