Here's the 22nd January's week 3 prompts of the #penandinkchallege This week ideas have been set by @claudespaintings and @penandinkchallenge The prompts she has chosen is 'Winter Animals' and for today it's a 'Deer' Here are the facts - Deer or true deer are hoofed herbivorous grazing mammals from the Cervidae family. There are two main groups of the deer family - the Cervinae, including the Muntjac also known as the barking deer and are native to Southern and Southeast Asia. The elk, or wapiti, is one of the larger species Cervidae family, and one of the largest terrestrial mammals in its native land of North America as well as Central and Eastern Asia. The red deer, this to is one of the larger deer species. They can be found in Europe, Caucasus Mountains, Anatolia, Iran, parts of Western Asia and the Atlas Mountains of Northern Africa. The Red deer is commonly known as a stag or hart, and a female a hind. Then finally in the Cervinae family the fallow deer. - the Capreolinae, including the reindeer (caribou), white-tailed deer, the roe deer, and the moose. Male deer of all species except the water deer, grow antlers this includes the female, each year the grow and shed their antlers. Only the Horned Antelope whose antlers are permanent, they come from a completely different family known as Bovidae which comprise the biological family of Cloven-Hoofed, Ruminant Mammals that also includes Cattle, Bison, Buffalo, and Caprines. Here is my last drawing of 2021 and my last submission for the contest organized by @sakura_europe and @royaltalens. As the theme is "historical architecture", I draw the Kinkaku-ji temple in Kyoto. It's an emblematic building and it looks very beautiful in a winter landscape. I used a black sketchbook, #gellyroll pens, golden #koiwatercolors and a white pencil. We never have enough glitter in our lives! I really enjoyed taking part of this contest. Is this a manatee? Nope! is a Dugong! Sadly a vulnerable species. I learnt the difference for this challenge: Dugongs are cousins of manatees and share a similar plump appearance, but have a dolphin fluke-like tail. And unlike manatees, which use freshwater areas, the dugong is strictly a marine mammal. Commonly known as "sea cows," dugongs graze peacefully on sea grasses in shallow coastal waters of the Indian and western Pacific Oceans.

Hi there beautiful people, how's your Saturday going, today has given me the chance to actually do some personal Journalling rather than #challenge related... It's a bit of history/personal it's Plato theory 'ᴠɪʀᴛᴜᴇ ɪs ᴋɴᴏᴡʟᴇᴅɢᴇ' and how Socrates tackles this idea with his associates. But with this in mind, it's something that can be used with todays lifestyle, so with Virtue is knowledge we are able to teach ourselves to see the bad things before we act on it. Virtue is indeed all about grasping clearly what is good and why it is is good. Voici ma participation au concours mensuel #sakura100years organisé par @sakura_europe. J'ai essayé de m'inspirer du travail de Suzuki Harunobu, en dessinant des silhouettes longilignes de jeunes filles et en utilisant des teintes grises et orangées. J'ai repris les beaux motifs des kimonos et fait un également un clin d'oeil à Takashi Murakami sur un des obi. J'ai utilisé des pigma micron 005, 01, 05 et brush pour l'encrage et des gelly rolls pour certains détails à la fin. Les couleurs sont faites au crayon. Je me suis bien amusée à dessiner les kimonos qui sont aussi une forme d'art au Japon. Here is my entry to #sakura100years mounthly contest organized by @sakura_europe. I paid homage to Sukuzi Harunobu, drawing thin women and using hues of grey and orange. I reused the beautiful patterns for the kimonos, and even used a bit of Takashi Murakami's work on a obi. I used pigma micron (005, 01, 05, Br) to outline and some Gelly Rolls pen for details. I also used color pencils.
