Blitzen: I knew you two couldn't stay mad at each other!
Alex: Oh yeah, we're closer than ever.
Alex & Sam: *hold up their hands to show they've been handcuffed to each other*
Hearth: [signing] You wanna tell me how this happened?
Sam: Well, Magnus thought-
Blitzen: Oh man, I wish that boy would stop doing that.
[Image Description: Samirah Al-Abbas, a character from the Magnus Chase series. She is wearing her Valkyrie-green hijab with her axe secured to her back, the holster visible with its straps looped through her arms. She has multiple plasters on her face, won in any number of of her duties as Valkyrie to Valhalla, and appears both tired and unimpressed with her general state.
She wears a long dark green skirt, mostly hidden by the cropping of the image, and a large baggy beige jumper, which must be a few sizes too big (if there is such a thing) as its neck is lopsidedly draped on her, showing a small amount of her white shirt beneath, and the sleeves obscure her hands entirely, definitely because the jumper is big and not because I didn't fancy drawing hands.
On her jumper are the words 'All My Friends Are Dead' and to this you may object, both Hearth and Blitz are alive are they not? To which I would say yes. For now.
This is a redraw of a traditional-media drawing I did back in 2020 which possess far less imagination, a piss poor attempt at a hijab, and another cowards way out of not drawing any more hands than I legally had to. Seen at the lower right corner as the last image in the post.]
Enjoy some Magnus Chase fanarts. I read this trilogy during a hard time and it made me very happy and paved the way for my interest in Scandinavian culture.
Alex and Magnus relationship is very funny and yet believable. I also loved the character of Sam since she debunked a lot of misinformation about muslims.
Egyptian-American filmmaker Sam Abbas, whose previous work includes ground-breaking films The Wedding and Alia’s Birth, has teased the first footage for his upcoming film Obstaculum exploring the migrant crisis. The film focuses on an incident in which 400 people, hailing from the Ivory Coast, Gambia, Senegal, Sudan, Chad, Eritrea, and Ethiopia, attempted to occupy an abandoned school building in Paris as they sought shelter from freezing conditions.

Now, this pairing has a special place in my heart. Samurai was the first series I watched, all the way back when I was eleven, and Jayden and Antonio's dynamic is what first hooked me on Power Rangers. It was the first thing I really ever shipped before I even knew what shipping was. (Antonio, is that you? Believe it baby, I'm back! Still think you can take me?) It, more than any other ship in Power Rangers, feels the most canon (even more than actual canon ones). It DEFINES Samurai. It is possibly the one thing that canon Samurai does right.
And thus, here is the playlist for it. Shout out to @khruschevshoe for the "Waterloo" addition- it wasn't on my initial playlist when writing but it is the absolute perfect song to embody these idiots as they get their shit together.
Sam: you've been in a coma. I don't know how to say this...
Castiel: Jesus cursed you. You've been doomed to dream about a hypothetical Sam-ish future as long as I was in the Empty.
Sam: he tricked you. He forced you to go into the Bethleem barn...at least it is, symbolically, and you've been in a coma ever since. He kinda made you reenact his resurrection.
Dean: I knew it was a dream! You had a terrible wig
Sam: oh yeah?
Castiel: we've got to go. He resurrected the Romans and Pontius Pilates to make sure you could face what he faced, but win this time
Sam tosses the keys to the Impala to Dean
Dean: Mamma Mia! Here we go again!
He gets up and they go outside. Before they get in the car, Dean turns to Castiel.
Dean: My, my, how can I resist you?
He kisses Castiel and shoves him into the backseat. They make out for like half an hour (exaggerating), and a bunch of recurring alive characters show up one by one to give money to Sam, who's very smug about guessing it would happen.
