this isn't hate btw I'm just looking at the fact that you drank pure virus
I'm just cackling that my virus-drinking chaos has been noticed by people outside my immediate friend group. I reiterate that it was a bacteriophage - these viruses are specialized to infect bacteria, and animal cells - ie human - are simply so different that bacteriophages don't even recognize them as targets. In fact, it's a hot topic of study to weaponize bacteriophages for the sake of combatting bacterial infections. Already there have been numerous studies and trials regarding injecting a bunch of viruses into people who are sick to cure them - there was a huge case study in 2017, and interest has exploded since then especially.
What I'm saying is that my impulsive decision was actually a scientific breakthrough I promise. Please let me into your laboratory please please please
#honestly the biggest concern was the bacteriophage buffer rather than the phages themselves#like i said. they target prokaryotes. we're eukaryotes. we're basically just passing by one another yknow#but since viruses - like lots of stuff - find surviving in distilled water to be tricky we used a particular solution#to make sure they stayed intact and stable in the samples#but yeah it was fine. i knew i'd be fine.#however.#it is FUNNY.#and FOR SCIENCE.#i know how viruses taste now.#and besides if a bacteriophage managed to infect a human cell that would also be a huge breakthrough for scientific understanding#so it's a win-win no matter the outcome!#(except for my sense of taste. eugh.)#qna

i got some moisturizing balms made from beef tallow to try and see if it helps my dry dry skin and here are my first blush impressions:
pros: smells good
cons: my cat thinks so too

tired. i've been nothing but tired anxious frustrated. and tired! did i mention tired?
#meins#circumstances of my practical journeyman exam have changed quite a bit. location. time. conditions to an extent#i am dealing with it. we are finding solutions#we can adapt.#but i do not feel chill about it at all.#also eff my teacher#i feel so fucking unprepared for life post finishing apprenticeship#so many lessons that we missed bc she is incapable of proper planning and utterly overwhelmed with her responsibilities#i feel like so much of my time is wasted#at this point we are begging for some actual lessons#we do nothing but complain about it amongst us apprentices. it's so exhausting. everyone is stressed and frustrated#maybe that's why i am so tired#i finished my first sample suit in time. i worked hard. and what does it get me?#nothing! bc my teacher can't plan for shit and is with one foot in a burn out if not both#i feel for her but god fucking damnit this is our apprenticeship this is our journeyman exam#i want to do my very best and i don't feel like i am given the chance to do so#okay enough renting. i need to go do the dishes and distract myself

as much as i hate the krakoa ending, i cannot lie.
it is incredibly fucking funny that josh was like, 'you know what, fuck the grown mutants and their bullshit politics and powerplays. they're the problem. we're gonna do our own krakoa.' and it was successful and didn't crumble due to infighting.

while sick at work yesterday was trying to show the resident my ''smell test'' for formaldehyde but since i couldnt smell anything i incorrectly identified it as saline. incredibly embarrassing
