Alright, in case you didn’t know here’s a summary: there’s this match going on between sapphic ships on Twitter, bumbleby was included and, incredibly, got to the final match!!

Arryn, as the Queen of Bees she is, of course hyped the event, and also implied that if bumbleby wins she will sing Treasure!!!

And we all want that, obviously!

Sooo, here we are, making this little intermission to do our part and ask you to go vote for our fellow bees!

My favorite thing about this whole Twitter poll is that it’s just…Bumbleby is standing up there and competing and WINNING against some of the oldest and most beloved WLW ships there is.

RWBY has been around since 2013. The very first content ever released for it, the Red Trailer, implied what would eventually be the main romance with the titular characters, but it wasn’t at all obvious. Not until Volume 2 or 3 was it explicit that Yang and Blake’s relationship was special, the romance only became really undeniable in Volume 6.

Yes, people shipped them long before it was canon, and there probably will be people claiming there’s nothing between Blake and Yang right up until the Bees kiss happens.

But we all saw it. All these fans of the little webseries that could, coming out together to push Bumbleby all the way to the finish line. Not as many people know of it, but out of those who do so many people love to see what Blake and Yang’s relationship has grown to.

We know they love each other. And because of this poll, a lot of other people will see it too.

She responded by posting canon gifs for a Valentine’s Day card, post volume 6, which would mean she got a yes from them. Let’s not forget she did warn us about bmlb not being a thing that the writers knew about so we wouldn’t get our hopes up if it didn’t back in volume 4. Plus the writers said if they see fans taking things a certain way they’re not they try to make it clearer in the show. So with that in mind after Kerry was asked if they were a couple in volume 6 you’d think he’d either shut it down by saying no or not have Nora, a character they confirmed observes everyone and knows what’s up say they’re more than just friends. Nora would just bring up her and ren without addressing the bees.
