He should stop them. The longer he watches, the clearer it becomes that the brothers are losing the battle of temptation. Then he hears your giggles as Lucifer spins you in place, your back now to his chest, and the Avatar of Pride pulls your ass flush to his hips. 

Your gazes meet. Lucifer is too busy marking your neck with a hickey to notice. You’re easily half the height of Diavolo, but as you lean into Lucifer’s chest and glance up at the King, he feels small. Eyes half-lidded, you stare him down as you grind your ass back into the demon behind you, biting your lower lip when you feel the hardness waiting for you.

In a room full of demons who have maimed, killed, and even eaten a myriad of humans; under the shifting blue and purple lights and thumping beat of the music, you stare Diavolo down as if you are going to devour him. An uneasy feeling slinks down the King’s spine, and he retreats back to the other side of the room. 

Does Diavolo regret allowing you to attend RAD? No.

Should he have ever let it get this far? That… he has trouble answering.

In one meager year, you have managed to entrench yourself into each of their lives in ways they never could have anticipated. All seven of his highest-ranking demons have given themselves to you, and while you have yet to use this against them or the Kingdom, Diavolo cannot deny the danger they would face if they ever fell out of your favor. 

Some nights, he can’t help but wonder if that was your plan all along. Sure, you didn’t have any memories when you first arrived, but if you were able to scheme without any recollection of your past, what did that say about your aptitude for deception? And he just allowed it to happen?

Yet with all this apprehension, he still found himself drawn to you. He was no better than the brothers, aching to keep you close at all costs, longing to hold you against him on lonesome nights. He was doing it for the good of the kingdom, he would tell himself. Keeping you close allowed him to keep an even closer eye on your powers.

Though, as he kneels before you on the floor of his private chambers tonight, he realizes just how deep he has allowed you in. You have made a home for yourself in his heart and he knows he could never make you leave. 

You sit on his bed, wearing his robe, swirling a glass of his expensive demonus in your hand as you watch him squirm in the silence. Normally, you’d allow him to rest his head on your lap, combing your fingers in his hair until he was practically purring. Tonight, however, the commanding spark he saw in your eyes that night at the party has returned.

He sits only three feet from you, but it might as well be worlds away. The lacey thong you had asked him to wear digs into his skin. He’s achingly hard, a fact he’s reminded of every time he tries to adjust his position on the floor. Jadis propaganda:

Jadis and Maureen, as pollrunner pointed out, both have the Same Cosmic Madness of seeing Everything All At Once and being utterly destroyed by it. However, I think that Jadis is More Eye because while Maureen's subsequent actions were caused by End-related motivations (joining Legion because she was angry that death separated her from her son) and her sharing the information she learned wasn't really spooky or harmful, Jadis' influence on the world through her omniscient knowledge is definitely creepy and detrimental.

One of the most creepy moments in the comic is reading the alt text in the first few pages where we see Jadis in the "flesh":

These pages are the ones where Jadis is explaining to Allison--later revealed to be pretty much the only person she can talk to anymore, and therefore the main focus of her Avatar activities--how her family sought to see all of space-time as something comprehensible by the human mind using The Great Machine. Jadis, wanting to be a benevolent ruler who would use this knowledge to help those weaker than her, took up this mission after killing her abusive father.

Jadis successfully completed the machine and used it to see The Shape of Creation, which caused everyone else present to cease existing. As for Jadis, when Allison presses her on why she let all this death and destruction happen despite her knowledge, she responds with this:

Jadis knew everything that was going to happen in this conversation long before it happened. After all...

So what's the point of anything, according to Jadis? Nothing.

She once bore MIND, one of the Seven Names of God, which gave her unimaginable power. But now she is just the "Bearer of The Shape"--she is no longer something capable of holding a Key of Kings, or at least no longer believes that she is. There is nothing left of Jadis except The Shape--perfect, unbearable knowledge of everything. She's had the entire script of existence jammed into her brain until--at least, as far as she is concerned--she is no longer a person, just infinite knowledge. Think Sapphire from Steven Universe before meeting Ruby--she knows everything that's coming, so she can't conceptualize that the present still matters or that she has agency as a person, because she is aware of the cause and effect at the same time.

As a result, she is a nihilistic shell of herself, following the motions of her "lines" but never truly acting as a person, existing eternally in all of the worst moments of her past and the horrors of the future, crushed by the fact that she knows all the answers and therefore can't use any of them to help anyone.

And she's not just stewing in her misery, either. She really wants to impress her philosophy of stagnation onto Allison:

The scary thing about Jadis is that she's not inaccurate or lying. What she is telling Allison is the facts. Sarah Greene died of cancer when Allison was eight. Allison is going to die in thirty-five years and when she does she will cease to exist. Allison's girlfriend is dead and an invincible demiurge is very soon going to break free and kill the multiverse. She is telling the truth, in the most traumatizing way possible, to make Allison understand what she thinks she understands. She wants Allison to learn the same thing she took away from seeing The Shape: that struggling for a better world or a happier life is pointless, and all she can do is watch and wait as everything is destroyed.

And to hammer that lesson in, she shows Allison a glimpse of The Shape:

A very brief look at this made Allison's eyes start to boil. And Jadis got a full blast of The Shape, which is why her body's ended up like this:

And her mindset's ended up like this:

And for six months, this works. Allison gives up. She genuinely believes that she can't fix anything, that she should just let everything end, that hiding from her pain in stagnant contentment is the best solution. But eventually, she sees the truth.

Jadis is an eternal engine of trauma and fear. She is the corpse-goddess of Sloth, rotting in her glass tomb, whispering prophecies that her cult interprets and enforces with theocratic tyranny and brutal inquisitions. She knows the most there is to know, and now all she can do is know--something that destroyed her not just because she saw all the terrible things to come, but because she lost the protection of ignorance, and therefore the ability to grow or choose or be. Her fate is somewhat reminiscent of Jonah Magnus in Season 5: she knows everything and therefore is nothing. Her eyes were opened, and she fell into their depths and never came out.

Disney's D23 Expo is taking place this weekend and it's a orgy of content. The offerings from Disney and its holdings so far are:

-New footage from ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMNANIA starring Paul Rudd, Kathryn Newton, Evangeline Lilly, Randall Park and Jonathan Majors. It opens Feb. 17th.

-Friday the late Chadwick Boseman became a Disney Legend and Saturday saw D23 attendees watching footage from BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER. It opens Nov. 11th. On hand was director Ryan Coogler, Leticia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke and newcomer to the fold Tenoch Huerta who will portray Namor the Submariner.

-First footage of the CAPTAIN MARVEL sequel THE MARVELS starring Brie Larson, MS. MARVEL's Imani Vellani and Teyonah Parrish who returns as Monica Lambeau.

-We have new recruits to CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER.. Joining Anthony Mackie is Shira Haas (who was stunning in Netflix's UNORTHODOX) and Tim Blake Nelson who reprises his villain role from THE INCREDIBLE HULK. Reprising their roles from the Disney+ series THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER is Carl Lumbly and Danny Ramirez. The team reports for service in May 3, 2024.

u-We have director for FANTASTIC FOUR in GAME OF THRONES director (and former child actor) Matt Shakman. The reboot flames on in Nov. 8, 2024

-Casting info the new HAUNTED MANSION. Winona Ryder, Hasaan Minaj and Dan Levy are joining Rosario Dawson, Lakeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto (voice only, as far as being reported).

-THUNDERBOLTS casts up. The film is slated to close out Phase 5 on July 26, 2024. Joining Sebastian Stan is BLACK WIDOW's Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Olga Kurylenko; THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER's Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Wyatt Russell and ANT-MAN AND THE WASP's Hannah John-Kamen.

-Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge was on-site to excavate the trailer for INDIANA JONES 5 which will serve as a final bow for the 80-year old Ford. The film also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook and Antonio Banderas.

- LOKI series two got a trailer and a newcomer with Ke Huy Quan joining Tom Hiddleston, Sophie DiMartino, Owen Wilson and the already announced, Rafael Casal.

*D23 presented the opportunity for Ke to reunite with Harrison Ford. In a recent interview on THE KELLY CLARKSON show, Ke revealed he knows how to swim thanks to Ford.

-Also revealed: Footage from AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER, sneak peek and title for the LION KING prequel. MUFASA: THE LION KING, which will roar into theaters in 2024. Teaser trailer for the live-action THE LITTLE MERMAID starring Halle Bailey. TLM wades to the surface, summer 2023.

-PETER PAN & WENDY with Alexander Molony as Peter, Ever Anderson (daughter of Mila Jovovich), as Wendy, Jacobi Jupe (younger brother of Noah Jupe in his feature film debut), Alyssa Wapanatâhk  as Tiger Lily, Jim Gaffigan as Smee, Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell and Jude Law as a Hot! Captain Hook.

This wasn't the only Disney project Law repped at D23. Law is in the Marvel universe thanks to CAPTAIN MARVEL, Disney Classic universe with PETER PAN & WENDY and now he joins his pal Ewan McGregor 

in the STAR WARS universe with Jon Watt's series SKELETON CREW about a group of kids who are trying to find their way home after being lost in space.

Is not Disney without animation so there was info about Pixar films ELIO, INSIDE OUT 2, Disney Animation's WISH with the voicework of Ariana DeBose and Alan Tudyk. And STRANGE WORLDS featuring the voicework of Jake Gyllenhaal, the best Twitter troll Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, Dennis Quaid and Alan Tudyk.

-Announced: The casting of Shakira Barrera in IRONHEART starring Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. Don Cheadle reprising his role as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes in AMOR WARS.

-Shown: The full trailer for SECRET INVASION starring Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Carmen Ejogo (whose ex-husband Jeffrey Wright voiced The Watcher in Disney+'s WHAT IF?) , and appearances by Don Cheadle, Ben Mendelsohn and Martin Freeman.

The audience was treated to a live performance from the spoof "Rogers" musical from HAWKEYE. Very fitting as there was a special look at ECHO, the HAWKEYE spinoff starring Alaqua Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, alongside Devery Jacobs, Graham Greene, Cody Lightning, Tantoo Cardinal, Chaske Spencer and Jacobs' RESERVATION DOGS costar Zahn McClarnon. 

D'Onofrio was also on hand with Charlie Cox to discuss the triumphant return of Matt Murdock in the upcoming DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN. Production will begin in 2023.

-Trailer for WEREWOLF BY NIGHT, aHalloween-themed special starring Gael García Bernal as Jack Russell who is not a terrier but a werewolf apparently. It's set to howl on Disney+ on October 7.

Just as father and son Kurt and Wyatt Russell are in the Disney fold, and buddies Pedro Pascal (whose trailer for series 3 of THE MANDALORIAN was shown) and Oscar Isaac are, Garcia Bernal joins his friend Diego Luna who was on hand to discuss his series ANDOR where he reprises his ROGUE ONE role of Cassian Andor.

*Many people think Luna and Garcia Bernal met making Alfonso Cuarón's Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN, but they are childhood friends and costars

whose parents worked together in theater. Their parents were rehearsing and doing costume design for a play while Gael was born and were still doing the play when Diego was born.

Other LucasFilm wares revealed like TALES OF THE JEDI, an animated anthology series, so a Disney Junior animated series STAR WARS: YOUNG JEDI ADVENTURES and STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH whose second season is pushed back from September 28 to January 4, 2023.

-While no word on when the BEAUTY AND THE BEAST spinoff GASTON AND LEFEU will begin production (star Luke Evans promises it will happen), Disney will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the animated film with a special -featuring live and recorded performances - will star Josh Groban as the Beast, Joshua Henry as Gaston and Rita Moreno as the narrator. The choreography will be done by the master, Jamal Sims.

There was also info on the PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS series, the NATIONAL TREASURE series NATIONAL TREASURE: EDGE OF HISTORY, an original series titled AMERICAN BORN CHINESE, a long-from series IWAJU which is described as a love letter to Lagos, Nigeria; comedy series THE MUPPET MAYHEM, series two of THE PROUD FAMILY: LOUDER AND PROUDER, new movie PROM PACT, the original series THE SANTA CLAUSES with Tim Allen returning, short-form series ZOOTOPIA+ and John Stamos was on hand to tease series 2 of BIG SHOT. He also took the time to talk of the last time he spent time with his late FULL HOUSE costar Bob Saget - the two went to Disneyland.

The Zuko/ Iroh reunion had me tearing up. That after all they've been through, the first thing Iroh does is hug his nephew and say how proud he is of the man Zuko has become. / Toph metal-bending the door around herself into a suit of armour was pretty epic 🤘 / I was a bit annoyed when Katara was taken out of the fight and had to be 'rescued' by Zuko. So for her to then be the one to take down Azula and revive Zuko was somewhat cathartic. / The fight scene animation throughout the final episodes was surprisingly beautiful and damn impressive.

REALITY: Anton LaVey violently beat his wife Diane throughout their marriage. In 1984 a police report was made describing Diane being strangled into unconsciousness by Anton LaVey, who was in such a murderous rage that his daughter Karla had to pull him off Diane and drag her outside the house to save her life. Anton LaVey routinely physically beat and abused those of his female disciples with whom he had sex, forcing them into prostitution as part of his "Satanic counseling" and collecting their earnings. In 1986 Anton LaVey was a passive witness to the sexual molestation of his own grandson by a longtime friend who was later convicted of sex crimes with minors. In 1990 Anton LaVey informed a mentally-ill stalker of his daughter Zeena of her whereabouts and the time & location of a public appearance she was scheduled to make, deliberately endangering her life.

REALITY: While Anton LaVey was always careful to portray himself to the public as an animal lover, in private he was cruel to and neglectful of his pets. When he was given Togare as a cub in 1964, he was ill-equipped to deal with such an exotic, wild animal despite his pretensions as a circus lion-tamer. As Togare became larger and more unruly, Anton LaVey frequently used an electric cattle prod to hurt and frighten him into submission. Many animal-rights proponents, including Togare's final owner Tippi Hedren, agree that it is detrimental to a wild animal's development to be raised in a domestic environment. Anton LaVey was arrested due to Togare's unruly behavior, and Anton LaVey was ordered to donate him to the San Francisco Zoo. After complying, Anton LaVey made only two visits to Togare. Due to the trauma of his early life, Togare needed special care at the Zoo and at every animal-care facility in which he subsequently lived.

Anton LaVey never took the time to housebreak or train Loki, and relegated him to the overgrown and unkempt backyard of the house, regardless of weather. If Loki ever tried to slip into the house for shelter, Anton LaVey routinely used Togare's cattle-prod on him to terrify him back outside. In his old age Loki developed such severe arthritis that he could not climb the stairs to the back door to eat, and began wasting away from malnutrition. Anton LaVey then gave him to one of his prostitute "students", who at least saw that Loki had a warm, inside home until he died a few months later. During her young childhood Anton LaVey's daughter Zeena once awoke late at night to hear slamming sounds and the shrieking of her German Shepherd puppy. Running downstairs, she saw Anton LaVey savagely beating the cowering, cornered dog with a wooden plank. When Zeena begged Anton LaVey to stop and asked him what the dog had done to deserve such treatment, Anton LaVey screamed, "She won't listen to me! I'm going to force her to obey me!" Anton LaVey continued beating the dog until her face was covered with her blood, then dropped the plank and left the dog quivering in the hallway, so injured and frightened that she wouldn't let even Zeena come near her. This incident left the dog traumatized for a long time afterwards.

Oscar Thoughts 2023

I'm bringing back my popular segment, Oscar Thoughts, mainly because I thought the Oscars were this past Sunday and they were not. Now, I have one more week to not watch any more movies from 2022. I'll just say it, it's March 2023 and I've moved on from 2022. I'm not out here wondering what the Best International movie is anymore. They could have sent screeners. Instead I watched Decision to Leave and moved on. Today, I'm discussing my rankings of the 2023 Best Picture Nominees. One thing to be clear about is my personal taste doesn't really align with a lot of other filmmakers. I like it when the movie is good and that's my main concern when I watch a film. 1. Tar - ****1/2 I love this movie and I'm surprised it never captured the Zeitgeist. There's nothing easy or straightforward about its approach to cancel culture and I think that's tough for some people. I love films about flawed geniuses (see The Social Network and Steve Jobs) and I appreciated the comedy and psychological thriller aspects more the second viewing. 2. Elvis - ****1/2 Because I know how much many people hate this movie, I have kept kind of mum on it but I really enjoyed Baz Luhrman's 'Elvis'. It felt like he finally had the material to match the incredible production design and bombastic, dizzying camera movement and constant cutting that has been his style since 1996's Romeo + Juliet (a junior classic for me). There's no defense for Tom Hanks' performance in Elvis but it's Austin Butler's world and everyone else is just getting by. A truly electric, hypnotic performance that could win an Oscar but could also lose to B. Fraser (whale gang) or Colin Farrell (still owed for his work in 2006's Miami Vice). 3. All Quiet on the Western Front - ****1/2 An instant modern war film classic that's score is still blaring in my brain. 4. Top Gun: Maverick - ****1/2 Recognizing the achievement that is Top Gun: Maverick is hard for some people because they don't view it as an Oscar movie. To them, I say what the fuck is going on with Avatar 2 then? Tom Cruise, Joseph Kosinski, Chris Macquarrie and Jerry Bruckheimer nail the landing with the sequel that ties up all the loose ends and raises the bar on aviation filmmaking. Are you not entertained? 5. Women Talking - **** Superbly acted film from one of my favorite actors from my youth, Sarah Polley (The Sweet Hereafter). I wanted to enjoy this movie more but it's a tough subject matter and it's mainly desaturated, washed out images of people talking in a barn. 6. The Banshees of Inisherin - **** To be clear, I enjoyed Banshees overall and found it funny, which is still the main goal of comedies. I've never seen In Bruges but I can't say I've ever been a Martin McDonagh fan. He's always ready to beat you over the head with symbolism and in this film, he ponders what creators owe fans and what it means to be an artist through the backdrop of an Irish isle during Civil War. Exceptional performances by everyone involved. It's just not one of my favorite films of the year. 7. The Fabelmans - ***1/2 I'm not here to throw shots at the King (Spielberg). He's made another technically brilliant film examining his own backstory in heartbreaking detail. My biggest issue with this film and other Spielberg works is I have very different sensibilities and attitudes toward the American Dream. I hated high school and I didn't care what anyone thought about me and I handled my parents divorce much differently. Spoilers: Young Steve, you broke the code (IYKYK). 8. Triangle of Sadness *** If you always wanted to know what a European version of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" would be, then here is your chance. I enjoyed director Ruben Ostlund's Force Majeure but TOS is a lot more overtly disgusting. It's not until the final act, which is basically a 5 star movie in itself, that I connected with the material. 9. Everything Everywhere All at Once *** When this movie wins Best Picture, it will become the first winner that I'll have walked out on in theaters (don't worry, I went back the next day and nearly walked out again but then bought two beers and just accepted that I wasn't into the film but it deserved to be finished). Here is my LB review that I've never wavered from "There’s a lot of 5 star moments in this movie and a lot of 1/2 star moments. I was exhilarated and also bored. The comedic moments often didn’t work for me. Daniel’s, I get it, you’re into butt stuff. I’m going to give this movie three stars because it’s not really for me but I’m glad I saw it and I’m even more happy to know movies like this can still get made. That said, I never need to see this movie again." 10. Avatar: The Way of Water - *1/2 SPOILERS: James Cameron starts the movie with the bad guys that are killed off in the first movie just being brought back into the Avatar world and basically tells the audience, I'm going to run it back and you're going to lap up these animated visuals like the little puppies you are. I was immediately out on this movie and wanted to walk out but instead went to concessions, bough two IPA's (it was in Texas and yes, there's a pattern here) and went back and watched the Swiss Family Cameron whaling adventure. Cool.

My Hopes and Wants for the new Masters of the Universe series

So in approximately less then 12 hours(if Netflix still follows its "release a new series at 3am" mandate) Masters of the Universe: Revelations is set to premiere on Netflix. While I am still a bit upset about the recent reveal I can't help but feel that I'll be going into another shitshow-reboot that started off with great potential but ended up going to trash. And this is based off going to youtube for Godzilla videos and music and seeing reviewers and vloggers practically all say the same thing.

Lets get one thing straight before all of you jump down my throat. I've been a MotU fan since I was a 2 in the 1984. I had bedspreads,pillow covers, books, toys, pajamas/underwear, even a homemade muscle suit that my mother found the pattern to make at a fabric shop for Halloween one year. So know that when I say I had high hopes for this series from the moment it was announced it's the truth.

Even when it was revealed that when Netflix released it's synapses, and the drama behind the scenes with some youtube vloggers and Kevin Smith over the past group of months I still had hope it would be one of the very few reboots that surpasses the original like 2002s He-Man series, the 2011 ThunderCats, 2012 TMNT series (which could have had a better ending IMO).

I wasn't even upset when it was revealed that King Greyskull and Andra were what people call today "race-bent." Andra was never really that important in the MotU universe only appearing once or twice in the comic strips and again in Injustice vs Masters of the Universe. As for King Greyskull, I grew to accept because of, well my own family. Looking at my family (Aunt who identifies as black gave birth to a daughter who is biracial who then had 3 blond hair blue-eyed kids) so I am taking this as a win for biracial/mixed blood rep.

I even like most of the cast and crew that I recognize with the exception of one, but I never really liked the actress from the 90s. I am talking about Sarah Michelle Gellar. I never liked her as Buffy or any other role she was in. Some may say that makes me bias towards Teela, but you are wrong.

I've always loved the character Teela. Because she is the Sorceress' daughter she has always been Prince Adam/He-Man's equal both in the previous series and comics. Even though she seemed like she was a tsundere towards Adam because she has to even after learning who he is (in the comics), she was always been He-Man's version of what Lois Lane is to Superman, or Abby Arcane is to Swamp Thing, she was his rock - his light in the darkness.

I am still a bit pissed about the Orko thing, but I explain my reasons in one of my previous posts - so I won't go into that.

The purpose of this post on the eve of the series being released is to voice my hopes and wants for it.

1.) Lets get the big one out of the way - Representation. I want representation, (because God forbid there be a series without it these days) to be natural and not the focus or feel forced. Believe me being a mixed-race person who is part Native/White/Black I get it more than anyone gives me credit.

Growing up Star Trek from 1966-2016 was the king of natural representation. Where unless the episode's story called for it NO ONE CARED about race/gender/ or one's orientation.

2.) Developed Story Well developed story that makes you feel like the show-runners have a plan from start to finish. That means a well thought out story, developed characters, what are their contingency plans if no one likes the series, what are their plans if the series is received? It needs to leave you wanting more!

3.) Let the villains be villains! Enough with the frigging "redemption" arcs! A redemption arc worked for Zuko in the Avatar series because of his character development. But ever since A:TLA, it seems every villain needs to have a redemption arc. Characters like Zarkon, Haggar, Lotor, HORDAK who is practically the Darkseid/Thanos of the MotU universe doesn't need a redemption arc or a "happy ending." In the MotU universe genocidal threats like Skeletor and Hordak raise the stakes for the heroes and drive them to win. Evil-Lyn does not need a redemption arc she has ALWAYS been Skeletor's equivalent to the Sorceress.

4.) Fans need to respect each other unlike when Voltron and She-Ra were playing. People are entitled to their own opinions whether they are new fans or old-timers like myself. If we don't like the way a series is going we are allowed to voice our opinions whether it congeals to someone else's opinions or not. Keep in mind that many of us have kept series like Voltron, She-Ra, TMNT, ThunderCats, and many other 1980s cartoon series going for the better part of 40 years for you to watch and enjoy these newer series. Our opinions mater just as much as yours.

5.) If you truly want to support this new series, and MotU as a whole buy official merch to the series. Like it was when we were young, getting the official merch helps the series more than you would expect. Now I am not saying don't support fellow fans who make trinkets and cosplay outfits and so-forth. Just keep in mind if there is a demand for officially licenced merch it can and will help the series.

These are my hopes and wants for the new series. I am still holding out on hope that the critics and vloggers are wrong on Masters of the Universe: Revelations lives up to the original series while being original itself as it has been advertised as when others (see below) with the exception of 3 did not, it has a a Godzilla sized mountain to climb to impress me. But know this when I see this series I will give my honest opinion of it, whether people like it or not.

So, I don't know how relevant this might be for the last part of s5, but I noticed something cool all the way back in MAG 3.

First of all, I think it's really interesting how the very first statements we hear have such direct links to some major elements for later seasons. I mean, we get the anglerfish and the first ever mention of Sarah Baldwin in episode 1, THE FREAKING COFFIN (and Absolute King Guillespe) and Breekon and Hope in episode 2, and we meet Mary and Gerry Keay in episode 4 (not to mention Ex Altiora, Leitner and mah boi Mike Crew).

But I am here to talk about MAG 3.

Because that one really stood out to me.

I mean, there's a lot going on in that episode. There's the table, the not-them, the weird journals and possibly the first mention of Basira??? I mean, this is the episode that gives us the first connection between the not-them and the table and possibly the statement that inspired Dekker to use it to trap the not-them with it.

But I actually wanna talk about the statement giver. She's a watcher. Or at the very least, that's what the web wanted her to be. The web pulled her onto the street, giving her a reason to go to Graham's house, for her to not only figure out where he lives but also to see the table and the notebooks. The ones scribbled with nothing but the words "keep watching", need I remind you. And then she did. I mean, "People watching has always been my guilty pleasure" was an obvious enough line, but she was also compelled to watch Graham specifically. To watch him do strange thins and more importantly, to see him get taken. The web wanted her to be a witness.

A d why is this all so important? Because that's what the spider did to Jon.

The web was the first one to mark him and arguably the one that guided him to the institute in the first place. We all know that it's gonna play a big part in the finale (arguably alongside the buried, with the minister's seat being covered in dust and it being a fear that Jon has canonically stated multiple times that he Does Not Like) and I'm just wondering how it's all gonna play out knowing that the web most likely had a hand in choosing avatars (and victims) for the other powers.

(Also the fact that this Graham might be the same Graham that dated Oliver Banks up until right before he got marked by the end might be an extra connection to be made and might lend a little more credence to my little theory)
