So I’ve been really Loving your origin swap AU and I was curious if you were planning on writing any fics for it, or if you’d be sticking with art for now? :o Tim’s design might be my favorite, poor little lad, I really wanna know how he ended up getting freed and joining the fam (Also Janet Drake as the Luthor figure is terrifying and I love it so much, and somehow this also just scratches the trope itch I have for Tim being Bruce’s bio kid, I just hope he handled it better than Clark did with Kon)

i'm sticking with art for now! I've already got a story I want to complete first (@theogygiaisland knows what I want to finish...) so for now Origin Swap is art only for me.

And thank you! I tried to keep everyone interesting and unique while still resembling the original story.

The way Bruce "got" Tim in this AU was after the presentation by Drake Industries Bruce immediately afterwards puts on his suit and charges in to grab somebody who needs saving.

This Horrifies me on so many levels, like, in general seeing character deaths that are companions is hurtful, but Carver is one of my favorite side characters in the entire series. Not to mention Hawks would never be so awful about family dying??? And more than that?? Hawke would never find joy in watching their younger sibling die especially in such a horrific fashion.

As someone with multiple younger siblings, no matter how much we bicker, I could never wish anything like that upon them, much less take joy in it!

And an even more worrying thing is that this isn’t an isolated case. I’ve seen multiple people come onto my posts/art and mention just how much they/their Hawke enjoy watching him die and in pain, and also how much art revolves around Hawke bullying/being aggressive towards him.

It’s so fucking disgusting. And yeah, I get it’s only pixels. But that sort of violent mindset and active aggression doesn’t just come from nowhere and it’s genuinely terrifying to me ngl

I don’t remember where it was, it might be in the old BC players guide?? Which I currently can’t access but own, and they had like a height scale with the race, and blood elf men average as taller than human men. I don’t remember how the women compare from either, but I very clearly remember this chart and it might exist somewhere online as well. WoW went with the whole Tolkien “Tall and graceful” elf idea after all, but yeah. I don’t know if that’s helpful, but blood elves are taller, generally

4. Do they have any verbal ticks? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?

Shava’s most prominent verbal tick is her habit of beginning her sentences with “um”. It’s a tick that formed out of her own insecurity when addressing other people. She’s lived most of her life thus far with almost no need for interpersonal communication, so she’s not sure how to address others effectively. It’s also for this reason that she almost always refrains from addressing groups as a whole and instead chooses to speak with one person at a time. It may be less effective, but it’s really all she can handle.

7. How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

Shava has a very negative perception of herself. She doesn’t think she’s a bad person, but she doesn’t believe herself to be enough. In her mind, she falls short of satisfactory in everything she does, and it’s been this way for as long as she can remember. It’s a very exhausting state of mind, but so far she hasn’t received the sort of confirmation she needs to change this perception of herself. 

15. Can they multitask or must they focus on one subject at a time?

She’s an absolute nightmare at multitasking, but it doesn’t stop her from trying. She doesn’t have to focus to work one task at a time, but when she tries to tackle multiple things at once something almost always ends up either incomplete or forgotten. 

21. Your character has been granted 3 wishes: what would they wish for and why?

She wouldn’t have to think about her first wish: She wants to find her birth parents. This unknown facet of her life has always left her with a lot of questions. She doesn’t have a complete perception of herself, and she’s always wondered if finding her biological parents would help her find the answers she needs to finally understand who she is and where she belongs. 

As for the other two, she’d likely ask if she can gift them to other people since she doesn’t have anything else to wish for. If that’s not an option, she might save them for an instance where she can use them to benefit those she cares for.

What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.

This question was already asked last time we did character questions like this, so I’ll just recap real quick: 

Sprawled out on their stomach or holding whoever they’re sleeping with. If there is a blanket lying on them they will never fall asleep. They don’t like feeling restrained, so they’re bad at being the little spoon or burrowing in a blanket cocoon.

Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?

Rin is relentless. They don’t know how to stop and take a break from something, even when they’re feeling overwhelmed. This can sometimes lead to issues, especially since they travel with other people. Even when the crew is resting in town for the month, they have to be doing something or fighting someone.

If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?

Dominus Galius Tinuso is out their somewhere, and his time on this earth is running out more quickly than he realises.

He knows what he did.

Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?

Uhhhh, welllllll, Rin did kind of piss off an eldritch god. Nyarlathotep may be focused on Ryn, but both the twins have it coming in his eyes from what I understand.

Finally; if your character was forced to eat one thing for the rest of their life, what would they choose and why?

Is Grog an option?
