Hesperia (Betterfly) Headcanons

Note: I always wonder where the name Hesperia came from. Like is it just a fandom thing? Eh whatever I like it better than Betterfly lol.

He spends his spare time writing out motivational speeches that he usually ends up spewing out in the midst of battles with villains thinking that maybe they’ll change for the better

Is the type of guy to stop and drop everything to save an old lady’s cat from being stuck in a tree

Loves hot tea and energy drinks

Uses his superhero abilities to keep an eye on his loved ones (mostly Adrien)

He makes concept art and designs costumes for himself and other members of The Resistance

He cares for all his little kamiko’s and keeps them in his own personal butterfly garden

Even though he knows he shouldn’t he doesn’t use all his strength when fighting against Shadybug and Claw Noir because he knows they’re just kids and doesn’t want to hurt them

Has a whole collection of DC superhero comics

He tried to get Adrien to have an interest in superhero’s and the miraculous but stopped when he realized Adrien had more of a liking towards the villains

He tried to never fall in love again because of his never ending guilt of being responsible for Emilie’s death

When he met Chat Noir for the first time he couldn’t help but be reminded of his own son Adrien

When he went to Ladybug and Chat Noir’s universe he couldn’t help but go and check on that world’s version of Nathalie. Seeing his lover ill (even if they weren’t lovers in that universe) broke him and he didn’t want to leave

Hesperia doesn’t allow his loved ones to join The Resistance because he fears it’s too dangerous

Hesperia once saved Adrien’s life which made the angsty teenager quite annoyed

Nathalie once stole the butterfly miraculous while Hesperia was sleeping to try it on in an attempt to seduce him. When he woke up he thought she was a villain and tried to attack her. Nathalie never used the miraculous after that

Is jealous of Shadybug’s really awesome outfit

Nathalie often scolds Hesperia when he comes home all bruised and beat up

He plays with Adrien’s video games when he’s not home because he wants to study “fighting strategies” — he’s addicted

Whenever he has to go out on a mission at night he has to leave very quietly otherwise Nathalie will stop him

He made a little tiny bed for his kwami Nooroo to sleep in

No, we are NOT back to square one

I know most fans are frustrated with the love square being reversed cus it seems everything is back to square one, but it really isn't. Marichat has always been the step closer to resolving the convoluted love square!

The problem with the original status quo (aka Ladrien) was that they were only in love with idealized versions of each other. Marinette was infatuated with the charming, kind and handsome classmate who seemingly has no flaw, and Adrien was in love with a hero whom he put on a pedestal. NOW, these idealized images are broken. Adrien realizes Ladybug doesn't trust him enough as an equal and he needs to come into his own, Marinette realizes she doesn't actually know Adrien that well and has just been making a fool out of herself. Here comes what makes Marichat so damn good.

Even before the love square switched, their relationship was already superior. Outside of the suit, Marinette can be herself and joke around especially with her partner. Adrien has always felt more free as Chat, plus he doesn't feel pressured around Marinette. Their interactions as Marichat are pure gold — joking around, play fighting, hanging out, literally best friends in a way they can't be as other ships in the love square. They truly get each other as Marichat, and now that they have feelings for each other, we KNOW it's not the "new ladrien".

Marinette doesn't have an idealized image of Chat Noir in her head. She knows his flaws, his bad puns, his carefree nature, his endless flirting — all the reasons she didn't like him cus he's "not like Adrien", but now that she does have feelings for Chat, that means she's slowly learning what real love is — loving a whole person, flaws and all. She has now loved all sides of Adrien Agreste.

Adrien simply didn't like Marinette before because she was too shy around him, the one who always runs away. The Marinette around Chat? Sassy, bossy, chaotic mess and that endears him to no end. "Ladybug" is never a klutz and has to have everything under control, but "Marinette" is anything but. He now loves the part of her she has always been ashamed of, thus has loved all of Marinette Dupain-Cheng too.

LadyNoir may never be the same, but this change in dynamic can be good! Chat can focus less on what Ladybug thinks of him and Ladybug will learn to be less of a boss and more of a partner. Besides, it would be nice to see Ladybug's shy flirting just go over an oblivious Chat's head.

What does annoy me though is how Mari still thinks Chat is in love with her (like girl IT'S YOU AS THE KLUTZY TEENAGER) so I'm hoping in future eps we get Chat flirting w/ Marinette and yall I shit you not I WILL die when he does.

Take it from someone who has been here for 7 years and stopped watching mid season 3. My faith is renewed!

This fic is about the Re-verse kids trying to figure things out after they decide to be good guys. But being nice is harder than they think.

No More Friends who kiss-

It had been over two months since Shadybug and Claw Noir had become traitors to the Supreme and joined the resistance.

This is the sequel to Friends who Kiss, In which the Re-verse kids are still having a hard time navigating their lives and relationship dynamic, And Adrien, (for once) has a lot to say.

Ashes to Ashes-

Marinette Dupain-Cheng fussed over her hair in her bedroom vanity.

My current longest epic fic, (19 Chapters) This one is a bit of a gut-punch. Not for the feint of heart! But if you like Trauma, emotional damage and suffering... This may be for you. An emotional rollercoaster told as an unraveling mystery, in which Adrien accidentally uncovers something he was never meant to, and things do not go well for him.

The First of Many Nights-

Muffled giggles could be heard some distance from the shore, a sound that scattered faintly across sand and silt until it died against the dull roar of crashing waters.

A mature content/NSFW fic. My first published fic of this kind and reads more sensual and romantic than smutty. (Though it is absolutely adult content.) Post-reveal Adrien and Marinette Enjoying a beautiful night on the beach.

Two steps forward-

Adrien lay on his back in bed, staring at the popcorn ceiling of their bedroom. 

I wrote this as a fan-sequel to Buggachat's Two Steps Back (one step forward)  (And silly me being totally new to the online/fic/fandom, Had no idea who they were when I naively wrote a sequel to their story. It just resonated with me, and I had to write what I thought might happen next.)

Mixed Signals-

Silence had settled in the room as they lay in their bed, both wide awake but each unwilling to admit to it; the soft breaths they took the only real sound loud enough to hear.

Our fav duo go to bed angry after an argument. But it's very hard to stay mad at someone who's so good at making you feel good. (It's not exactly Adult content, but it is suggestive and contains very mild things.) I wrote this on Christmas when I was supposed to be doing Family Holiday things, haha. Oops.

Having freshly defeated the Akuma of the day and righting the world once again with the healing magic of the Miraculous Ladybugs, it wasn’t long at all before Ladybug and Cat Noir found themselves inundated with fans who began to crowd around excitedly.

Ladybug gets a little possessive and protective of her Chaton. I loved writing this angry/sassy Ladybug, it was so much fun!

A Bad Touch? -

Chat Noir sat on a peaceful rooftop, his back resting, not wholly uncomfortably, against a brick chimney. 

Shenanigans. Pure Shenanigans. Ladybug and Chat Noir find themselves in an awkward predicament. So what to do? Make it more awkward, of course! Probably the most fun I've had writing a silly little oneshot haha.

In Hot Pursuit-

Ladybug cautiously kept her distance as she followed Adrien Agreste.

This was actually the first oneshot I ever wrote in the MLB Fandom. (Please be kind! Haha) This was written purely for being silly; don't take it too seriously! LB's stalking tendencies have come round to bite her.
