20. part of canon you found tedious or boring

i’m very tempted to say deidara scenes because they’re definitely annoying and boring to get through but tbh i feel like that arc with shikamarus revenge on hidan and kakuzu was more tedious/boring cause it was a whole arc. the characters were all snore and the plot of that arc was just frustrating and i disagreed with it 💀 so it dragged on. very forgettable arc and very forgettable characters. sorry ino not you though.

21. part of canon you think is overhyped

can i just say kakashi as a whole? i really find next to nothing about him appealing, but he’s the fan favourite? is this a safe space or am i about to be put on a hitlist

personally I first went to the dentist when I was five years old and got night braces to pull my molars back.

At the time I found this really painful and annoying, but actually I was really lucky. Ahmed @ahmeddanii (14) has been suffering from dental problems from BEFORE HE WAS BORN - Israel dropped PHOSPHORUS BOMBS when his mother was pregnant with him and he has had development problems on his teeth for his whole life as a consequence.

Now Ahmed at just FOURTEEN (14) YEARS OLD is stranded in south Gaza with his family, including elderly and disabled members, using the FUNDS that his family had managed to PUT ASIDE FOR HIS TREATMENT to survive.

He is running his GFM campaign alone, at JUST 14 YEARS OLD, and it is VERY LOW ON FUNDS - only 3k Eur of 50k collected.

I cannot imagine the pain he must be going through, both physical and mental, but it breaks my heart to think that a YOUNG KID like this can come to this website to tirelessly work to share his story with the people of the world and ask for our help and have his pleas fall on deaf ears.

Decided to link the post instead of reblogging since this one shouldn't be hidden in reblogs!

Political context is good, but it didn't need to be 70% of the series. The 60s in Brazil were marked by many political changes, of course, and the series reports this very well. But the name of the series is Hilda Furacão and Hilda barely appears compared to the supporting characters. The creators of the series just gives us a scene full of twists, romance and entertainment between Hilda and Malthus and then take us to the male characters of Santana Dos Ferros discussing politics in extremely long scenes. Then they show us the woman of Santana Dos Ferros talking about marriage and political intrigue. Then we see the romantic intrigues in Roberto's communist group, then Aramel and Tunico looking for girls in a extremely uncomfy way, and then we see Dorinha and Bela Bê talking about boyfriends again and again... I can't take it anymore!!

The worst part of all is that even though there are LOTS of political scenes, we are barely told what year it is until the moment Hilda mentions that she has been in the bohemian zone for 5 years. 5 YEARS? Like, what?!?! We got a lot of political context except for the fact that we got none, we just see a lot of random discussion and scenes but we don't really understand what's happening unless we search about what was happening in 1960's Brazil.

The middle episodes focused so much on secondary and uninteresting plots (such as the sisters' fight in Santana Dos Ferros, which didn't need to be shown so much, or even Dorinha and Bela Bê talking about boyfriends all the time) that they left the main couple aside, Malthus and Hilda (along with Roberto and Bela Bê, which was so poorly developed that I actually forgot about them at the end of the show, only for them to end up together)

We only get that the ending of the show is near when we're in the penultimate episode. One episode before the ending one. Until there, I was just watching normally everything happening very slowly... and then BAM, when I looked there was only 1 episode left!

The fact that we discovered that Hilda bought farms and A PLANE only at the last episodes is just so confusing to me. The directors could have told us earlier. And that plague in Santana Dos Ferros only had 20 minutes in screen, when this topic itself seemed like it was going to be a whole arc. Don't get me wrong, I love how sweet this scene is, but it feels rushed and out of place... we should have gotten at least 5 episodes about this as a whole arc!! It took so long to Malthus to exorcise Hilda from the point he talks about the subject to when he finally does it.

And the ending! Oh my God. The ending was so fast. Again, what happened at the end episode should have lasted at least 5 episodes. Not only the last scene, but the whole episode itself. Malthus took his decision too fast and too naturally for someone who was torn between Hilda and the church (everything he was told his whole life) for five years. We didn't saw him questioning, accepting, thinking about this change in his life, we just got him answering "yes". And the scene he got arrested was also really fast and not very well explained.

My theory about this rushed ending is that this was probably the fault of the network(Globo) that placed an episode limit at the last minute. It was probably an internal production problem.

But knowing about this episode limit, the directors and writers should have used the length of the chapters a little better. Shorten some minor stories and lengthen more important ones, that got shortened too. Start including the beginning of the end at least 5 episodes before the final chapter. I love this series, but we have to agree that this is the biggest flaw it has.

Unfortunately, despite everything I mentioned in previous posts, no one listened to me..

Two days ago, I said that my wife and I were informed by our institutions to terminate our contract, and we had bought our apartment two months before the war, and because of the war, our apartment was burned and bombed..

Unfortunately, our dues will now go to the bank..

Thus, we lost our apartment, which we cannot access because of the war, and we lost our jobs and our dues.. We lost everything..

Mike and Bryan didn't intend on making Aang look like a terrible parent. It was more about how Kya and Bumi interpreted Aang's constant absence, which was due to the fact that Aang was the Avatar. Aang ended up taking Tenzin around the world because, as the second-to-last-airbender, he had the best chance of carrying on his legacy and keeping his culture going. Aang simply had a tough time finding balance in all of the duties he had on his plate. The idea that Aang is a terrible father is an extremely exaggerated interpretation.

Aang was gone quite a bit of the time. [Katara and the kids staying put] could have been to give the kids a more stable and modern up-bringing.

Tenzin DOESN'T REMEMBER TRAVELING WITHOUT HIS SIBLINGS AS A CHILD. This suggests that these travels were not ALL THE TIME, but rather maybe even sparse and infrequent. Tenzin was not always with Aang, but was the only child brought at times along with political/spiritual trips.

Kya recalling Gurus and Old Air Nomad stories and being bored. We also see her meditating and attempting to 'sense spiritual energy.' This literally STATES that she was at least attempted to have been taught Air Nomad history and culture and was not impressed by it. This states Aang did in fact share his history and himself with his other children. This also leads to the question over if Aang was hurt by Bumi and Kya's rejection of his culture, or if he maybe stopped teaching them because he thought they didn't care and they grew up and grew bitter over not being taught.

lt's pretty clear All of Aang's kids loved Aang very much--they were ashamed of the idea of not honoring him and were willing to die for the Air Nation and Bumi and Tenzin both dedicated their loves to upholding Aang's laws, though in different ways.
