With the RWBY DC not-a-crossover comics, I feel like the only thing I took away from the was the Bees Bottlecap thing, everything else about them just kinda slipped out my head

god i wish that were me. i try not to bitch too much on my blog anymore bc it makes me unhappy so i try to keep it about things i do like. but my goodness that comic was not kind to me 😭

we lived for MONTHS on here with people insistently trying to marry its wild mischaracterizations with the actual canon to present an analysis that incorporated both...the damage to the minor character stock market... MY market...

but at least "willow schnee trampled by zebras and bears" is a recurring gag in my repertoire ever since HRBHJDBHF

Genuine question: what's left for Weiss' character after this, like, as in character development?

I understand she has some stuff left with her family (hopefully at least), but I really don't see anything about her that can be built upon.

Not trying to be a downer, just genuinely want to know what y'all think and if I'm missing something or just looking at it too cynically. I don't think I can handle more volumes of her being annoyingly smug and self assured.

The Red Flags of Ruby's Suicidality Throughout The Volume

It should be obvious, but this short essay will cover heavy subjects of suicide, so if you're uncomfortable with this subject matter please don't read this.

The first red flag was in episode 4, where Ruby contemplated erasing her current self due to her failures, after talking to her 'past self'.

This gets reinforced by the lyrics of Trapdoor, which is about how worthless and unneeded Ruby feels.

One common mindset among suicidal people is this: what if I'm useless? What if my friends don't need me anymore? What if they don't care about me? What if I'll keep ruining everything? Would the world be better without me?

Suicidal people are usually full of self-loathing and blame.

Even in the episode 7 fight Ruby felt useless after seeing C-PTSD red flags (they're not Neo hallucinations because she didn't see the Schnee manor grounds struggle with hacked Penny). In her eyes, the others are fighting well without her, so she's useless.

Another set of red flags is snapping at your loved ones, pushing them away and driving yourself into isolation. We see ALL these in episodes 7 and 8, with Ruby snapping at her friends and running away, and even pushing Little away.

And on top of it she feels like her friends don't care, the world is against her, etc. which is YET another red flag.

(Massive disclaimer that this is NOT anti WBY and they, especially Yang, tried to reach out to her throughout the volume.)

I'd like to mention that if your loved one attempts and you tried to help but couldn't do it, it is NOT your fault. We're not all experts and we try our best, so do not ever blame yourself for these things.

It's not uncommon for suicidal people to refuse help, and on top of it Ruby has always been selfless to self destructive levels.

And the last thing, her self blame over her loved ones dying. While Penny and Pyrrha were apparitions, they still reflected her self blame. And Little dying? The final straw.

So her suicide attempt in the end was being built up all volume.

All I can say is that I hope Ruby somehow gets rescued and also recovers from her mental health problems because JESUS CHRIST.

This was a bit hard for me to write, especially as someone with BPD and frequent suicidal tendencies. This topic hits hard for me. However, I'm not an expert and this post shouldn't be taken as gospel. There may be details even I missed, so feel free to add your own observations.

And remember that if you are suicidal as well, you're not alone. You'll always have people who care about you, and resources to help out.

While it was a surprise that Whitley managed to capture the White Fang Assassin who had been tailing him for the right time to strike, what was more surprising was that his hypnosis glyphs were working.

At first, he was worried that it would drain his aura overtime, but to his surprise all it took was a huge chunk of his Aura. He still took precautions however, keeping her in a well furnished cell beneath Schnee Manor. Whitley unlocks the door, where Blake Belladonna is held.

Blake was planning on leaving the White Fang after her last mission. She was going to attend Beacon, and become a Huntress. All she had to do was complete one last mission.

But that had quickly gone off the rails. She had underestimated her target. And was now paying the price for it ... not that she knew any of that anymore. Thanks to the hypnosis, Blake was a blank slate.

When RWBYJ go back to Remnant and then reunite with the others and Blake and Yang announce their relationship? I can imagine Nora being like “oh damn finally!”, Ren and Oscar being like “oh! Congrats, I'm so happy for you”

And then there's Emerald who joined the group fairly recently and she's confused and she's like “weren't these idiots already dating?” because she just saw their reunion at Schnee Manor and went with it.

Jacques Schnee Found Dead!

The Ceo of the Schnee Dust Company was found dead this morning, while we wait for the official Autopsy report, but thus far the leading theory is Cardiac Arrest.

Weiss: *fake Crying* It's horrible what has happened. I can only hope that I may Support my mother until we overcome this loss. At the very least I have my girlfriend to support me!

Councilman Arc Au: Jaune has to go to the Schnee Manor again, Pyrrha and Eve in yow as guards. One: to give Jacques a peice of his mind. Two: see his "son" Whitley, who is fanboying over Pyrrha.

This was a statement and a half, coming to Schnee Manor with two bodyguards in tow. Though not just any old guards: Pyrrha Nikos, the Invincible Girl, and Eve Taurus of the White Fang had come with him on this journey. Despite being on a watchlist, there was no warrant out for Eve's arrest, so she could come and go as she pleased.

She didn't please often when it came to Atlas, however. It was simply too cold for her tastes.

Jaune, meanwhile, had a rather odd goal. For one, he wanted to try settling out of court with Jacques. To Jaune, the whole thing was a waste of time and money, while Jacques wanted nothing more than a full monopoly on everything Dust.

Naturally, that couldn't fly, but it was worth a shot to see if the jackass was open to... mostly realising just how bad his own position was.

The catch? The man wasn't there. Klein couldn't find him, but invited the visitors anyway for tea and pastries.

Suited Jaune just fine. Due to his liaison with Willow, he considered Whitley to be just about one step below actual stepson. Meaning: he felt like the kid needed a dad, not a father, but also didn't feel close enough.

It came to just about everyone's surprise that the little guy was a big fan of Pyrrha.

"I am not one to brag, but I happened to witness your prowess on several occasions. Say, is what the TV series says about you true?"

Now if only he wasn't being so Jacques about it

(Prompt) Willow comes out of the room many hours later wearing just a bathrobe, limping, hair a mess, a little slow, and some parts red. But Winter and Weiss notice the biggest smile on Willow's face. She got even more than she expected, and already thinking that she would love to make Jaune her permanent husband. Waking up to him would be the best.

"Are we.. am I... usually this loud when i am with him?"

The two girls had been listening in for a while now, hearing the sounds Jaune made as he pounded their mother. The sounds of flesh slapping together, of their mother's voluptuous body being pounded.

They heard her ass smack from Jaune's powerful hips slamming against her on his thrusts, they heard the lewd clapping of her breasts as her entire body shook from his thrust. They heard her moan and cry andscream in bliss as she came again and again...

They had heard everything. every detail of Willow being absolutely FUCKED by Jaune Arc.

"I don't think so." Winter shook her head. "At least you were not the few times i heard him fuck you."

The noises had finally stopped for some time, and they were wondering what had happened? Did Jaune finally pass out? Had the Schnee matriarch reached her limit?

It was a few more minutes until they finally saw someone step out of the room: their mother, willow Schnee.

Looking happier and more at ease than she had been in weeks, dressed only in her bathrobe, they could see her curvy body. And some red hickeys on her breasts, her neck.. a few handprints marks on her thighs as well, as she walked up to them.

"He lived up to all my expectations... and even more." she told them, with a pleased, blissful and slight blushing expression on her face. "He is an amazing lover, and i look forward to inviting him at oru home again... I am even thinking of making him a more permanent resident of our manor~"

"Do you mean... as a manservant? Your boytoy?" Winter tried to clarify, to their mother's gigle.

"Oh no... not at all! I was more thinking... as my new husband."

I mean, it's comforting to know that there's an ordinary day-night cycle in the Ever After.

But that means Volume 9 has taken place all in one day so far, which makes sense, but is in fact bonkers.

THIS IS THE SAME DAY AS 8x10. MONSTRA BLEW UP THIS MORNING. DINNER AT THE SCHNEE MANOR WAS 2 DAYS AGO. CLOVER WAS ALIVE.

Reason Why Rosegarden is Canon: #002

At the Beacon Dance in V2, everyone in the main cast is paired off with someone that either is already important to them or becomes important later on.

Except for Ruby, because her partner hasn't joined the cast yet... but he is later brought into her life by the person who does stop to chat with her at the party: Ozpin.

"If you think about it, fighting and dancing aren't so different. Two partners interlocked..."

This theme becomes consistent for many of Ruby and Oscar's later interactions. Up until the middle of V7, the theme that follows them is fighting:

Sparring together (V5 & V7)

Heart to heart in a practice room (aka The Dojo Scene)

Oscar constantly showing concern for Ruby during fights

Ruby constantly protecting him from Grimm

In V7, they start to transition more towards the dancing side of things:

Mirroring scenes, arcs, and dialog that parallel each other. Doing the same thing but slightly different, two parts of one set.

Regaining trust in each other(aka The Fumble) and,

The Almost Hug, both happening in the Schnee Manor Entryway that looks like a ballroom.
