this has been on my mind so i just gotta say, if you think wheatley was justified in any of his actions i need you to go like right now. this instant. out the door forever. wheatley was hurt, yes. he’s a deeply insecure character with a plethora of issues. but he was never justified, not even once. he took his insecurity out on others, he sent aperture into a tailspin, he objectified and belittled chell and glados in order to feel in charge and more secure in himself, not once have his actions been justified and that’s the point.

you looked at portal, a game where a central theme is women being oppressed, objectified, and stripped of their autonomy, and the first thought you have is “well about about the character that perpetuates that, what about him?”. you wanna talk about the horror a character in portal has gone through? think about glados for more than 2 seconds.
