#seeing a lot of posts saying they dont think it's them and it doesn't track for me so voila! a take!

Tbh I've seen a LOT of people saying they don't think Chester and Norris are Jon and Martin in any way but the way I see it the other possibilities just don't make sense with what we have. (Not talking to people who just don't want it to be them because I see your point there but... well anyway.) Possibilities I've considered are as follows, let me know if there's some other thing I didn't think of:

They're completely unrelated to Jon or Martin and Alex and Jonny are just using their voices for new "characters". The reason I don't believe this at all is simple: is because it feels cheap and like a bad storytelling decision, and that may be a matter of opinion but I've listened to enough Q&A's between the two of them to feel like they wouldn't go that route. I could absolutely accept this if they were on a constrained budget and short on VA's, but the kickstarter suggests otherwise. I'm not saying they couldn't have cameos were Jon and Martin not in this, but large cryptic parts after the ambiguity of what happens to these two at the end of TMA would be a tasteless bait and switch that I feel like I trust them not to do. I'm using my Reasonable Typing Voice but I honestly think this take is borderline impossible and it would blow me away if this was the case.

2. Something else simply pulled their voices from all of the statements they read that the web collected and is imitating them while reading new material. This one is *possible* but still feels entirely unlikely but the why is more complicated so I'm going to break down why this doesn't add up to me:

• The cases are being read by something sentient enough to understand and apply strong emotional tone to the human "speech" in each case. The contrast of the introductions and headers/filing information makes this even more apparent which suggests it was a conscious decision (blatantly, IMO, and after an explanation was provided for all the statements sounding like the same writing style in TMA, I'd be extremely surprised if this had no bearing on the narrative and is just a choice of execution.). So there's no way this is just a computer program, even if it's influenced by beholding, we know from TMA that beholding doesn't have that kind of understanding of human emotion either. Something with a deeper understanding of language and humanity than a computer program could have is reading these. Unless they're actually taking us down a sentient AI route, but that seems unlikely. So it has to be something in some way human.

• We consider it could just be Freddy (I forget how it's actually spelled, FR3-DI?) using their voices and that Freddy is the individual in question with human level sentience, but I have no explanation for why it would use their voices separately, why it wouldn't include others who read statements like Melanie, Basira, Tim, Daisy, etc. Yes, there's still Augustus, but that can only cover one of the other characters who read statements, and only Jon and Martin read a significant enough amount of them to set themselves aside from the others who read. The ONLY thing that would make this theory work for me is if Augustus turned out to be Gertrude, and honestly I wouldn't put it past Alice, trans legend, to call a quite seemingly older woman's voice by a masculine sounding name just for the hell of it. But, again, seems unlikely.

• We could consider that they are to only some small degree themselves, but they've lost a significant enough portion that they aren't truly, and are simply extensions of this universe's "Eye" (saying eye because I think the motivation would still have to be voyeuristic to bother?), to the point where who they used to be won't even be a concern. But this one is still challenged by the first bullet to some degree, I think. This one is possible, albeit a little boring in my opinion.

I'm willing to accept that none of the characters we know and love will truly be present in this new narrative. I actually went into it with that expectation and was jump-scared by AJN's voice 10 minutes into the first episode. But with everything in episodes 1 and 2, I don't think it's far-fetched at all to hope we're going to get some jmart again (I think the other direction is more far-fetched). I do think it's perfectly likely it's going to be miserable and painful the whole fucking time, though.

AH i actually dont have that many so a lot of these literally just came into my head. also i'm very sorry this mostly became "elle helping spencer realise he's nonbinary" headcanons, i'll have to think more about elle :((

this one is not my headcanon. i tried to find whose it is but for the life of me i cannot track it down, so if anyone knows please tell me so i can link them: they share a wardrobe. the only one who remembers which clothes initially belonged to which person is spencer, for obvious reasons. EDIT: got this from this post by @/spritehouse

elle has her shit figured out pre-canon but isn't doing anything about it because it's 2005. spencer does not have his shit figured out until after he gets with elle

well. he has it a little figured out. he knows there's something to figure out, he knows he isn't a cis man, but he's just like. i have way too much going on in my life already to think about that so i will ignore it <3 because that's worked out so well for him

pre-figuring his shit out, spencer is constantly (and largely unintentionally) mixing "menswear" and "womenswear". i really struggle to see a version of spencer where he and diana didn't experience serious financial issues after william left, and even as an adult, high-quality private psychiatric care like diana's is expensive. so, the majority of his clothes are thrifted (yes, i know about the $500 cardigans in later seasons. gifts from rossi <3) and he doesn't really care what section of goodwill he finds them in. so he's constantly wearing, like. a men's shirt under a women's cardigan over men's pants held up with a women's belt. post-figuring his shit out, this becomes intentional and he starts blatantly mixing styles. the kind of thing that gets him stopped in public by someone going "hey you know that's a women's...?" and he goes "yep! :D"

by contrast, elle, while she largely has things figured out, does not present the way she wants to for safety reasons. spencer helps her gradually feel more comfortable presenting the way she wants while she helps him figure out his gender stuff

as for reid's gender stuff, i think for a long time he's really overly fixated on labelling himself. the closest any label comes is bigender but that doesn't feel quite right and he has a lot of unnecessary angst about it. (not projecting at all shut up). eventually he's venting to elle one day about how he feels this and this and this about his gender and if he was to describe it he would describe it like this but he just can't figure it out. and then elle gets genuinely confused because it sounds to her like he very much has figured it out. it takes a long time for him to understand and accept that there isn't a magic word that will describe all parts of him, and he may never find one. and that's fine

elle does spencer's makeup. he looks in the mirror and cries.

penelope is the first person they come out to and she is DELIGHTED to have other trans people on the team. one more and they outnumber the cis people...

morgan is next. spencer says "we're nonbinary" and morgan says "is this like a 'we're pregnant' situation or are you actually talking about both of you" and elle hits him in the head. spencer immediately feels many times less anxious than he did before. i love u morgan

morgan asks spencer in private if he wants him to stop calling him pretty boy. spencer tells him to please never stop. calling him "pretty", an adjective usually used to describe women, paired with "boy" makes him very happy. with this in mind, morgan starts calling elle "handsome girl". elle pretends to be nonchalant about it, but it makes her really happy.

they never tell gideon. spencer can't handle the thought of him reacting badly. (gideon was under the impression that spencer was just closeted this whole time. oops!)

like i said, spencer REALLY likes being described as masculine and feminine in the same breath. when elle first introduces him to her friends, she says "this is spencer, she's my boyfriend" and spencer runs away to stim in private. elle's friends are very confused.

i said earlier that robin must feel like she doesn't want to let down both sunday and the family, both as his sister and the "pride of the family". but this clearly shows that he's the one pulling the strings, or at least one of them.

(as i type this out, i realize the usage of "pulling the strings" could relate back to the imagery of puppets we've been seeing. they are present in robin's trailer and also seen in the 2.2 penacony trailer)

now, going back to what i really want to talk about in the first place - director sunday. i do think this is more symbolic than anything, and coming from robin's perspective as this is her trailer.

sunday is a perfectionist obsesed with control and robin's public image may not be spared from that. she may feel that sunday is essentially breathing down her neck, whether or not sunday is aware he's making her feel like this. i've always thought that sunday's perfectionism and his obsessiveness have bled into his love for his sister and their relationship as a whole. again, she clearly does not want to let him down specifically, especially when they're supposedly working towards a childhood dream.

it's just! this whole thing about freedom, or the lack of it. robin is a caged bird and that's become explicit in her trailer. who knows wtf sunday's deal is, but he's also clearly under SO much pressure, he's the head of the oak family and ALSO needs to be nothing less than perfect. dude had a whole speech about it. i also imagine they both don't talk about any negative feelings related to this, maybe even wanting to keep up appearances around each other too.

i feel like i dont have anything else to say. i just mainly wanted to talk about some observations and stuff. i am very much looking forward to 2.2 coming out later, im SO excited to dig into sunday because he is the most intriguing and mysterious to me. their relationship is just so so so interesting, im so excited to see it in all of its glory later.

Guess this 28/41 year old is my hyperfixation for a while.[Age depends on which game he's in. WD2 has him at canonically 28 while Legion makes him canonically 41 years old.] This is about the length of my Deacon Rambles post...

Was a high school drop out at some point. Always getting in trouble for skipping classes, taking shit apart, having his hood/mask on, fighting because he didnt get along with people, etc etc. He hated school.

I see him as the type to have been a drummer in a band at one point. Eventually the band just fell apart but he has some of their songs on his phone still.

Loved the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In his mind, it had a badass sound track. 7 Nation Army by The White Stripes and Black Sheep by Metric and Brie Larson were real bangers in his mind.

Reeks of beer and gasoline most of the time. Change my mind.

Deadpool is this man's icon. Some of his jokes are inspired by jokes from the comics or movies. Has posters, funkos, obviously the comics and movies, and even dressed up as his own punk version of deadpool loosely based on the funko mini. His personal favorite mini was the chicken costume.

Has a unicorn stuffed animal himself.

Also likes Spider-Punk.

Likes Motorcycles a little bit more than cars.

Detective films? Yes. Action Movies? Definitely. Sci-Fi? Hell Yeah! Horror? Maybe not so much.

People seem to be unable to decide whether Wrench is Bi or Pan. I personally think he'd be Pansexual.

Doesn't like cleaning as he states ingame. Will clean if the mess starts to bother him. Or if Sitara makes him.

High metabolism which is why he's so thin.

Throwns in tons of movie/game references when speaking expecting people to get them and then has to explain them when they dont. Definitely geeks out when someone does.

You know that one audio trend with the person singing CPR and someone else yelling "Language"? He'd be the singer and Sitara would be the one yelling at him to mind his language.

Sends the most odd videoes at the most random of times.

Also the kind of guy that might not respond until like and hour or 2 later.

Tries to be pretty quiet in the mornings, besides the music blasting in his earbuds/headphones.

The more I think about the more I start to believe that his "bad driving" is just a thing he makes people believe until you see his dumb ass in a race and this fucker blows you away with his skills. Then you start to really understand why he can do perfect drifts getting away from the police or gangs in a chace.

Due to his always racing thoughts, he sometims forgets some things. Like he gets sent out to take out the trash, goes to the kitchen, forgets why he went in there, does a few circles to try and remember, then gives up and goes back to his room or workspace. It'll hit him like 20 minutes later.

Favorite food is probably Tacos. Pizza close in like 2nd or 3rd place, maybe.

Decent at voice impressions, if you couldnt tell.

Oh, and for those who absolutely need them, have some romance headcanons too:

Didn't show his face to his S/O until like 6 months into the relationship at the least. He was so fucking nervous too.

Wouldn't even fully open up about his past until probably a year in at the least.

Prepare for cheesy love songs, matching key chains, corny pick up lines, bits of playful teasing, and a lot of small physical touches. (Mostly hand holding but would wrap his arms around his s/o's waist) His s/o also wrapping their arms around his waist drives him nuts.

Needs a lot of reassurance that his s/o loves him. I wouldnt say constantly but quite a few times in the relationship, especially at the beginning.

He isnt exactly scared of commitment as he had a husband at one point. Key word: "Had". Dont expect him to fully settle down though. He still plans to fight until he is sure this battle is really over.

Two Words: Super. Clingy.

Might forget an anniversary, dont hold it against him. He sometimes forgets what he had for breatfast 15 minutes ago.

As I've mentioned before, he does not like kids. Don't expect a family with him.

No planned dates unless his s/o is the one who plans them. He kinda just does things whenever if both have the free time.

Makes sure to dial down his weirdness just a little so his s/o is comfortable. He takes things slow if they want them to be.

Was definitely taking forever to actually ask his s/o out. Hoped they would do it first but then got impatient after a while and just blurted out everything.

To me this is so normal, that couple who are always away from each other not spending quality time together will end breaking up. And Jikook shows big signs towards it, well if they aren't broken up already. But you won't accept it. As if quality time together and communication aren't one of the major needs in a relationship lol.

No, because if you actually read my post, you'd see that I said the type of boundaries in his video talked about is good and healthy. And I said this is an example of how boundaries can be different in various different relationships. I've given lots of examples, it was just one of many. That is just how the real world works.

I didn't say anything about how great Nick and Pierre's relationship was because a) I don't know them, I don't follow or keep track of tiktok couples who got famous by making their relationship their job. Original universe headcanons:

-Ace is proud of his freckles. He doesn't much know what his mother looks like, but he's seen his father's appearance and knows that Rodger doesn't have freckles. So he sees his mother through his freckles :)

-despite his name, Ace is the only allosexual within the trio. I do think ace is aromantic though. I just don't think romantic relationships suit any of them, personally

-sabo cuts his own hair. I read a SBS submission asking oda why sabo grew his hair out. Oda responded saying he does to hide his scar. He said that sabo doesn't exactly see it as a badge of honor. Which makes me uhhhhhhhh very sad yuh huh. But it also makes me imagine he cuts his own hair because no one else can get it right. How I draw him, his bangs are uneven so that his scarred eye is covered and his working eye doesn't get blocked out. It looks fine now, but the first couple times he cut his hair were ✨disasters✨

Modern au:

They share an apartment and it is very apparent who's room is luffy's by level of messiness. Don't get me wrong, Ace's room is messy, but it's messy in an organized way. Unlike Luffy, who is just... Who knows if there's a floor over there. No one's ever seen it.

Sabo's room is so clean it's boarder-line sterile. It also just doesn't look lived in at all. If he invited you over and you saw his room, you'd think he was a serial killer.

Sabo and Ace both have their own mini fridges in their rooms that are under lock and key so that Luffy cant get into them. little fuckin gremlin man...

There is a tally board on their fridge that keeps track of who wins in wrestling matches that break out sometimes, much like in the show.

Sanji owns a restaurant near their apt that they always go to. The three of them have a chokehold on the "Big-Ass Bowl of Spicy-Ass Ramen eaten the fastest" title as they are currently in a three way tie that not they nor anyone else can beat.

Ace flirts with Sanji and his brothers give him flack for it, saying he's just trying to get a free meal!! support your local businesses, Ace! pay for you meal!!

Luffy always be challenging his brothers to spontaneous races and is always surprised when he inevitably loses. Sorry lil guy, they just got longer legs than you, not your fault.

They love trying new weird food. Whenever they see some kind of afront of nature that a snack-food company put out, like buffalo sauce flavored pretzels or plant based jerky, they'll absolutely buy and try it. It never goes well. Ever.

Ace and Sabo are the main Money Makers for their household. Luffy is always trying to get a job, though. Under the off chance he's actually hired though, his employment is usually terminated sometime within his first day. He's trying his best, man.

Whenever theyre having an issue in their household that they dont know how to combat, they call Dadan for advice. Kinda like those scavenger monkey themed guys from the beginning of Skypeia.

Thanksgiving is a big holiday in the USA,

Chris loves tradition such as holiday celebrations, so it doesn't make sense why a wife would willingly be half across the world at an event that she has no reason to be at. She made it clear by saying she has nothing to promote or speak about. Therefore, she had no reason to go.

I know she isnt from the USA but if i had a spouse who had a holiday that was important to him like Canadian Day, ect, I'd be there. Thanksgiving is a heavy, tamily oriented holiday

Marriage is about growing together and experiencing things together. What we see seems to be everything Chris said he didn't want. His morals and beliefs can be "sold" to us, but there is no reason for him to say he wants to have traditions with hia family unless the he wants the tradition is being thousands of miles apart.

I swear if I hear one more freaking thing about Chris being the reason she isn't talking or doing things online, imma scream. First off Chris has been looking horrible- so bad ages 10 years and sull laxlluster skin- he used to glow. He syattwd to lose that glow during the SMA shoot (i waa locing the farm boy vibe) but The only reason he looked better on the View's zoom is his old camera, zoom filter and makeup. That isn't the look of someone who is orchestrating and being the puppet master. We also know the man has bad anxiety - RDJ wais on a talk show that Chris had a huge anxiety iasue over who arrived first to the Civil War premier and the cars. Think about it does ir sound like a man whose a maatermind for a a whole year + of things

2ndly the nazi has a track record of making bad decisions when it comes to social media (and prob. elsewhere), ie the shower vid that was left up? It takes seconds to take down and she left i4 up. Then the videos/pictures showed she doesn't have an engagement ring or wedding band. Those jewels are watched like a hawk, so it makes sense that she didn't have them on because they weren't hers so she wasnt allowed to wear the jewlery more than necessary for the event.

Idc who you are you wear the Cartier ring on the other hand necause no one takes their engagement/wedding rings because they have two hands- 2!! It's peoven she can't be trusted on social media by herself without her screwing up the narritive their teams want to push. Frankly, I say let her post and screw things up, she looaes followers when she posts so ler her lose more so she has bots.

8 - What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise? oh god........where do i even start.....lets start with the "potential man" shit. megumi did not even want to be a sorcerer he didn't want anything to do with jujutsu tech or gojo or curses or anything like that, he literally only did it to keep tsumiki away from the zen'in clan so yeah sometimes he does half-ass and sell himself short but if you even took three seconds to think about his character instead of stupid hypothetical 1v1s you would realize why, and when he has something to protect (tsumiki, yuuji) he absolutely puts his 110%. i dont know why people see mahoraga as a cop out move when, other than one situation in particular, every time he's tried using it seems pretty reasonable to me. im not gonna get into manga spoilers here but if any of these people calling him weak or useless or whatever the fuck they're saying about him these days went through even a day of his life, they would absolutely be feeling the same way, let alone going through megumi's entire life. too many people forget that megumi is a literal child who has been through a shit ton of trauma since he was a toddler so yeah i think his reaction to what's going on is completely justified. also please stop shipping him with sukuna 😀

14 - Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character. i did my sort of fanon style for him here, but i think in canon his main priority is comfort and practicality. probably has two pairs of shoes total (not counting like. house slippers)- those brown boots (that i hate megumi ur better than this) and a pair of sneakers- which he will wear until they literally fall off his feet. wears a lot of sweatshirts and oversized tees, track pants, or baggy jeans. some ideas i dug up on pinterest (pretend the necklace in the second one doesn't exist canon megumi wouldnt wear jewelry)

"it doesn't matter about anything else, im perfect now". i think this song has a deeper meaning that would fit more cleanly into the storyline of the other songs but im not big brained enough to figure out how exactly if i figure out ill update this. now, massive whiplash as we jump into demoni which is like "i need you here. when im not here my demons play with me" (idk how to better explain it besides just drawing from the og lyrics hah) important to note that this song is the title track. padam is like "i should've believed them instead of going through with us. someone help me. please. where is everyone?" vse kar vem is like "everything ends eventually, you just didn't need me anymore". ona is like "you never cared. but i care so much. so so much". tokio is like "we're not gonna see each other again. only photos will know we were together". note the more peaceful music as opposed to the deeply upset vibe of the others. kind of ironic how ngvot is like "ah, so we meet again. we've both changed albeit differently. we don't talk about it anymore though!" note the incredibly happy music of the song it's so incredibly jarring hearing them repeat "we dont talk about it anymore" with this happy ass music lmfao lastly novi val is like really abstract and could really mean a lot of things. i take it as a general message but it could really be anything. also note that it makes me want to cry so bad. one day im gonna bawl my eyes out because of that goddamn song agh OKAY UM OKAY. so basically the whole album is about a slow acceptance of the breakup but still feeling bitter about it at the end. i think. however this mystery person (probably called katrina) that the singer broke up with could've been anything tbh. you can interpret this really broadly and i think that's why i like the album so much too. it doesnt have to just be about events and feelings post-breakup but also just things in a general sense. so you can find solace in the album regardless of what your situation is. i think thats pretty neat.

Fantastic Four Volume 1 Issue 3

So my previous two posts where mainly about the introduction of Marvels first family the Fantastic Four. This is the third instalment of the Fantastic Four. We get a few cool updates in this issue like the introduction of the Fantasticar. As well as the debut of the Fantastic Fours Iconic suits. We also get a interesting look into the Fantastic Fours building of operations. Anyway let's begin with the story shall we.

This issue starts with the Fantastic Four watching a magic show, with the villain of the issue being the magician himself. This being the Miracle Man ( Joshua Ayers ). He challenges the Thing in a test of strength in which he ends up besting the Thing. Which upsets the Thing to where he begins to throw punches at the Miracle Man.

Miracle Man then decides that is time for him to begin his reign of terror on the public by giving life to a giant statue known as The Monster from Mars.

Around this time our fabulous foursome debut their new outfits. I'll be honest I'm not the biggest fan of them, they're essentially blue jumpsuits with a big four plastered in the center of them. Honestly I prefer the outfits that add white to the costume. Though I will say I like The Things costume with his helmet that he wears only briefly. I also enjoy that he just tears the shirt off and ends up in pants, although later it does become shorts. All in all I prefer the Things costume, and Johnny's costume, since he flames on you don't see it much.

The next new addition that we get is the Fantasticar. Which I really like this first design, though many viewers said it looked like a flying bathtub. I just really like it.

We also get a look at the Fantastic Fours secret headquarters. Boy do they have everything in it. I actually really like a lot of the attention to detail that the writers use to explain many things that I'm sure readers would have questions about. Also this building will later be known as the Baxter Building.

Anyway back to our story. The Fantastic Four set out to stop the Miracle Man. It mainly ends in a car chase where Mister Fantastic turns himself into a wheel, which I really find enjoyable. Once they catch him Reed states that the Miracle Man had no magic and was just a master at mass hypnotism, and illusions, though he learns this after realizing the Sue was hypnotized by the Miracle Man. So yet another villain is carted off to prison and our heroic team celebrates their third victory. Well until Johnny decides that he's splitting from the team, I guess that's a problem for the next issue. Also it is sad that the team has only lasted three issues before a member has decided to leave.

I don't mind this comic really it's decent, I wish the Miracle Man actually had magic. Though this was before Marvel decided to delve into the more magical aspect of their universe. I would give this issue probably a seven. Because I really do like that the team has finally gotten their super suits, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the design. I also really like the introduction of the Fantasticar, all hail the flying bathtub. I also enjoy the in depth look of the Baxter Building.

Alright now on to my rankings of our Main Characters and our Miraculous Antagonist. See what I did there.

Mister Fantastic, I've actually really enjoyed him in this issue, he was a very integral part on stopping the Miracle Man. I also really liked his ingenuity in turning himself into a tire so they could chase down their target. He also figures out the Miracle Man's actual abilities. So yeah I really like him in this one.

Sadly once again Sue doesn't do much. She does track the Miracle Man down, but then she is instantly captured and is turned into the damsel in distress. She also designs the teams first outfits. Ben's is my favorite but I dont think he was the biggest fan of his new uniform.

I didn't really like Johnny in this issue. He just comes off as a bratty awful teen, and he's really annoying. I get that him picking on the Thing all the time is one of his gimmicks, but it's already pretty old. He's just like that annoying sibling or cousin. Needless to say though he does serve an important part in stopping our villain.

Ah the Thing, still my absolute favorite, never change buddy. Every panel he is in I enjoy. I love his goofy helmet he wears for literally two panels, and that he doesn't like wearing his shirt. All winners for me. The Thing right now is my soul reason for reading these, Ben Grimm I love ya.

Boy do I really like this villain. He is the evil mustache twirling villain that has plagued many a 90s TV shows, and he predates them I love a visionary. I do really like how absurd this villain is, they could've made it easy and said, "oh yeah he really uses magic." No they took a risk they made him an illusionist and a master of hypnosis. He definitely takes my number one spot out of the villains we have met.

Alright that looks like that's it for this post, next time we'll see if Johnny will rejoin the Fantastic Four. Spoiler I think he will.

whenever i go font hunting for a project i have a bad habit of downloading fonts i'll never use just because they delight me, so i wanted to share some of them! im pretty sure literally all of them are public domain so if u like any of them pls download them too

This is LT glockenspiel black. just fucking look at this thing. look at it. i love how they didnt really choose a consistent flourish and just go with everything. it feels almost satirically luxurious. 10/10 i try it in my projects whenever i want a laugh

Baymanat. i've got like seven calligraphic fonts like this ill never use and had to throw one of them in her 9/10 its nice

monogram fonts are NOT supposed to be used this way but i dont care. look at this. painful. how are you even supposed to use monogram fonts anyway? 10/10

festa!! found this one just recently, it has such futuristic fantasy energy. it just borders on annoyance because of the mixture of circle sizes. never seen a font gimmick like it before 9/10

flegrei. why are there three super thin lines in this entire font and only three 9/10

garish monde. dear gods if i ever need a glitchy eroded font this is what ill use but i really and truly never have 9/10

graphic attitude. this font looks terrible if you do anything longer than a single word but im really really fond of it 10/10

and now we get into kingthings!! this is kingthings facetype, found this through another tumblr post abt it. kingthings was (maybe still is but i dont think so) a super profilic typeface designer with a lot of really weird stuff. im a huge huge fan. they also included a txt file with their fonts that includes a short description of each one and its adorable. here's what they had to say abt facetype.

I made this font having thought of the name - maybe not the usual way to go about font design. It is based upon Kingthings Exeter and can be used to embellish that font or just as decorated capitals. I enjoyed making this font and it was one of the quickest to do - i just got completely absorbed by the project. I hope you enjoy this daft font!

Kingthings Serifique UL wide. ridicoulous. the flourishes always were a little awkward but on the UL wide theyre obscene. 10/10

You dont have to answer this publically but I thought asking you here instead of Twitter gives you more room to talk if youd like; More people would like and follow NASCAR if they were more openly anti-bigotry. Not only because this opens the door to newer, gen z and older liberal fans, but because of the DRAMA. People flock to the hated. People flock to drama and get into whatever else is involved; example, Kanye. I have seen a huge influx of people defending and enjoying the Kardashians again like its 2008 since Kanye was openly anti semetic. I think NASCAR, since in general, its supportive to queer folk and poc (donating a substantial amount to the trevor project this year, plus the 48 is even gayer than last years pride scheme, plus how they generally handle racism towards Bubba on large scale), should just start blocking people on twitter and instagram who harass like bots every time they make a post. Ive been keeping note of people on twitter and instagram on their posts since the end of may and it seems to ALWAYS be the same group of people

NASCAR has always had this policy of like floating in the gray area and refusing to make any sort of hard-line statement or take any action until they are literally forced (see: requiring the HANS device). And I think they really shoot themselves in the foot because I think people can see through it??

Like it should not have taken Bubba Wallace publicly talking about having to see the Confederate flag for them to ban it from race tracks.

And that's not to say that NASCAR hasn't made a lot of progress in inclusivity (2020 was very surreal to be a NASCAR fan) but yeah, they refuse to make a hard stand and block people from social media or acknowledge that Bubba Wallace is harassed on social media by racist people and they don't do anything to protect him.

I don't think NASCAR realizes that prospective fans see that and it just reinforces this idea that NASCAR is a 'redneck' sport that has nothing to offer. NASCAR doesn't understand that this perspective fanbase, which -- to be very honest, the people that are rapidly becoming motorsport fans right now are young/women/LGBTQ+/POC (and any combination of both) -- they want to know that they will be safe and accepted. But mostly safe.

So yeah, I agree. I think NASCAR has made huge progress but as long as they stay within the gray area about anti-bigotry, i think people are just going to see the hate (and the people responding to the hate) and decide to pass on NASCAR.

She's played too much of a role in both their lives for them to see very far past her influence on one another, and I don't think it'd be very healthy for them to try pursuing a romantic relationship; because I feel like they'd inevitably end up trying to fill the space Mia left in their lives through the other person which just wouldn't work. I definitely think they should have some sort of a relationship, though! I think Diego cryptically mentoring Phoenix and being very unhelpful most days, but always really solid help deep down, is very fun and kind of important for them post-BttT. I think they should get to truly know one another, beyond the masks and the projection, and Diego has a lot more experience being a lawyer than Phoenix, so he'd definitely be able to help with all the moral quandaries that are bound to come up later on. Plus he'd Get the whole 7-yg Phoenix attitude thing because... he's been there. I think he could've been helpful, and it's a shame we don't get to see them be, if not friends, respected acquaintances.

Okay, after standing in the shower and staring at a wall for 3 hours, I can talk normally again, which is good because I have to explain this.

I know the people who ship them don't do it in this way, but? Honestly? Franmaya is one of those wlw ships that strike me as two female characters being shoved together because they're left hanging once the main male couple whom everyone actually cares about (nrmts in this case) gets together, and because no one can find anything interesting to say about them as individuals, so now they're lesbians. Yay! (And also because people maybe don't want to be seen as only shipping mlm ships for fear of being told they're fetishising them.) And I know that that's not true and that most Franmaya shippers love both of them individually (as we all should), but something about them always makes me hear the feminine AI TikTok voice going, "Diversity Win 😊👍🎉!" in my head and conjures up images of Western corporate advertisements during the month of June (hence the love is love coca-cola).

And I know this isn't the case, but ???? I think it's mainly because I genuinely do not understand this ship. I don't usually need ships to be supported by canon for me to ship them, but what we've been given by canon doesn't help me see these two as ever being friends, let alone girlfriends. I understand the reasoning of "they both have self-worth issues so they'd understand each other", and that's a perfectly good reason to ship people, but like. I kind of want more? I kind of want them to be able to connect on a level that goes beyond them having similar issues? And probably the folks who do ship Franmaya do have reasons that go beyond that, like maybe Maya teaches Franziska how to lighten up and not take herself so seriously, and Franziska shows Maya that she doesn't always have to be the easiest version of herself to be loved. And that's all lovely! But I... don't want them to fix each other--

See, the versions of Franmaya I've seen floating around either boil them down to a wlw version of nrmts OR they make them out to be this saccharine, perfect, happy lesbian couple who are so, so wonderful and sweet to each other. Which is. Great! I love seeing women happy! But -- I'm sorry -- it's so BORING to me. It always seems to fix them a little (even if it's just around each other), and I like their flaws. I like that Franziska's a bit of an uppity, violent snob, and I like that Maya is a bit of a naive, insecure girl. I don't want them to fix each other, but I've tried twisting them the other way round, too! I've tried giving them the Krisnix treatment where they just amplify each other's worst traits, because they share similar insecurities and would know where to prod to make it hurt, but! I find that even less appealing and workable, tbh. Maya at her worst might let someone walk all over her for momentary wisps of affection disguised as acceptance of her flaws? But she has good and smart friends! Nick would never let her be in a toxic relationship like that, and he'd stay with her until she realises it's bad for her! And Franziska, regardless of how she may feel about being in Edgeworth's shadow, would never let anyone else even suggest that to her. The moment she gets a hint of that kind of disrespect, she is gone. She doesn't need you, make no mistake of that.

And it all really comes back to the fact that I can't see them connecting as friends. With Emaziska, I could see how they could be genuinely good friends and then more, but with Franmaya it's just... Not there for me. I can't see them progressing beyond the "oh, that's my little-older brother's friend's sister" stage the way you might be "friends" with your parents' friend's kids, you know? Like, yeah, you guess you're friends with them, but it's nothing serious or real. That's how I view their relationship. I'm not averse to being persuaded to ship them (in fact, I'd like to have them explained to me; they have cute art!) but I have tried and ehhh?? Doesnt do much for me, sorry, Franmaya 😔

Hey, I should've probably made a post about this when the controversy first started but it's better late than never I guess. There's been some discourse on twitter about this, mostly from non-native Filipinos, so I have to say: Stop trying to say that the Filipino sapphic McDonald's commercial was just taking advantage of Filipinos.

Look, I understand that it's so easy to try to go "rAinBoW cAPiTaliSm!!!" on companies when you see them creating content for the queer community especially if the company doesn't really have a good track record. Hypocrisy is absolutely a thing you should point out especially when companies trying to capitalize on the groups they refuse to support. But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP TRYING TO SPEAK ABOUT SHIT YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT

If you're not aware, the Philippines has an awful homophobic and transphobic culture where, like a lot of Asian countries, they would tolerate you being gay but wouldn't accept you. It's not uncommon for people to get their identities erased by their families, their queerness forced into the closet, and family making suggestions to force you to be cishet. Not only that, but if you were public about being queer, you would either be mocked or harassed with some incidents possibly escalating to violence.

This culture of bigotry has created a push to make laws to prevent discrimination against people based on their sexuality or gender identity in the form of the SOGIE bill. The thing is, this law constantly gets push back from religious groups and even some members of the cishet majority since they don't understand what the law entails and think that the gays just want to hurt the "nuclear family".

You wanna know how bad it's been for the SOGIE bill? An anti-discrimination bill was first officially proposed in 2004 and none has had approval since. In February 2023, there was a news report that even uncovered a large disinformation campaign that was trying to spread lies about the current SOGIE bill so people would be against it passing into law. These were mostly spearheaded by Christian Evangelical groups that had had a stranglehold on queer rights in the country for decades.

There has also been a constant pushback against queer people and loud discrimination against them even on a societal level. Stories like that of Gretchen Custudio Diez who was a transwoman that had been arrested for trying to use the bathroom may have been given a transphobic spin by the larger anti-queer disinformation campaign, but there's still so many people that either mocked and ridiculed her before they heard anything else about the story besides "transwoman gets arrested for using the bathroom." I vividly remember my otherwise pretty supportive mother making jabs at it and even spouting some transphobic rhetoric before I had to correct her, and she's not really the type to be obsessed over Facebook or Twitter.

McDo creating this commercial is controversial and yes, could be considered pandering, but you need to get it into your head that the Philippines has different cultures and social issues from the fucking west. The Philippines may be listed as "one of the most gay friendly countries in the world" but that is such a gross understatement of the truth here. The Philippines is gay-tolerant, not gay-friendly, and anything that tries to normalize any gay relationship outside of queers being used as a punchline or some emotional sideplot gets criticized to hell and back.

The amount of sapphic Filipinos and other queer Filipinos that found joy, comfort, and hope because of this commercial could also not be understated. I've seen so many tweets and posts about how happy and represented they felt even with such a short ad and you shitting on that is just such a dick move, especially if you yourself aren't a Filipino who grew up and/or lives in the Philippines.

As much as I hate capitalism, corporations actually showing public support for the queer community is extremely necessary here since it normalizes queer people. In this day and age where not only do queer Filipinos barely even have rights but the global queerphobic right has definitely been influencing the Filipino internet which may even endanger any bit of progress queer activists had made for the past few decades, corporations being on the side of the community is super fucking important.

OK I went back and rewatched those last scenes.

1. the magical miracle sound metatron made on the coffee is soooo hard to hear lol maybe I'm deaf?? Is there bit it's SO QUIET.

2. The metatron doing what he did was a smart political move. While Crowley and Aziraphale don't see themselves as competent, the metatron just saw them thwart an apocalypse and save an archangel from heaven and hell. So what does the metatron do? He offers to pull them both back to Heaven OR split them apart. Either way a win-win for him.

3. Aziraphale said "no" to the metatron a couple of times before relenting. Why? Because the metatron used the same temptation strategies as Crowley had in the past: food/drink, and persistent arguments.

4. That question about "give me coffee or give me death" is really interesting....i don't get it(yet)

5. When Crowley looks at Maggie, she's asleep! As she is Aziraphale’s shadow character, what does that mean, that Aziraphale will be in heaven a while? Is it a... death analogy?

6. Az says "I don't think you understand what I'm offering you." Crowley replies, "i think I understand a whole lot better than you do." BUT. Neither of them understand each other’s pov in the matter at all! Az is offering to be with Crowley, fighting the good fight together, in the Good Place. Crowley is offering to be with Aziraphale on Earth, away from the bullies and the toxicity and the politics. Crowley doesn't trust that Aziraphale understands those things because he is always looking for the good in people and can't play "the game", and Aziraphale doesn't get that God hurt Crowley irrevocably. He believes that if he is forgiven, that everything will be okay. He doesn't get that Crowley doesn't want forgiveness, because for him it means less than nothing... it's an insult.

7. Aziraphale never found out what set off Heaven’s alarm. He still thinks it was he and Crowley's half-miracle, not Crowley’s thundering tanty. I'll explain why I believe it was Crowley’s tanty that set the alarm off (I'm going off memory here ok I've only watched GO2 once):

It was implied in a few scenes. When Az mentions it, Crowley starts to correct him and then gives up or gets interrupted (I can't remember which), and also the angels said that the miracle was 25 [some measurement] and Crowley says "THAT'S how your lot measure it? By how many resurrections it can do? *scoff*" Also I think in the scene when the angels track the miracle they say it was "near" the bookshop not IN the bookshop. And then in the end Sorequel or w/e her name is says to Az, "I dont know who did that miracle but YOU certainly didn't do it, *eyeroll*" implying once again that Crowley is actually really powerful compared to Az. He could open the file that Muriel couldn't too... in other words Crowley was an archangel, a very high up one which the fandom guessed a while ago. Az is a Principality which is a pretty low class for an angel.

Which adds an extra layer to Crowley’s disgust in the end, because Crowley already knows what it's like to be a powerful archangel, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. So for Az to get excited to be one Crowley’s "but you're better than that" has a double-meaning.
