I cannot express how thankful I am to everyone of you.

Yes, I do see them but not all the time because I get overwhelmed and anxious easily and also because I dont know how Tumblr ethics work. Can I just thank all of you individually? Send it through DMs? The comments? Answer ever reblog? I am not sure im not good with socializing even online 🤷🏻

But before the year ends, let me just say this:

Earlier this year I started to slowly dissolve myself out of the art scene, especially the comic/webcomic scene (I love comics!) My editor did a toll on me emotionally and mentally and I wasn't doing well already beforehand and I had to terminate the contract and just put a stop on the project. And then I thought maybe comics was just not for me.

But seeing every one of your encouraging words made me feel so much better and how everyone is so supportive of my little comics ( of course, thabk you so much to Larian and Jen for Shadowheart) but mostly to everyone especially the Sharty Party server who was very supportive and very affirming.

Of course all of your little tags and comments make me so happy but these are the most PG i can post (i dont wanna be flagged again 😆)

So truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone for helping me live a little less anxious daily. No joke, My acid levels are rising and y'alls help lower it 😆

I do send some haters out, yes. But I'm also sensitive and have social anxiety... so it's not like I don't waste time on this sometimes. I've been through some tough situations in the past and I prefer to remove myself from the situations that make me uncomfortable before they escalate too much. Sometimes it causes me to overreact and I know this well. It just reminds me of something else and I worry it might get worse.

Blunt - I've always been like that, I've also managed to tone it down a looot (unless I'm literally pissed off, all my effort goes to fuck itself, but later I worry if it was too much, I don't know how to show negative emotions 😅). It also has its good sides, though, When I say something positive at least you will know I truly mean it 💖 (and I do, I like to randomly drop nice comments as well, compliments and positive feedback is very important! it just makes everyone feel good, both giver and receiver). Also in many cases I share my experience/positive tips and maybe that helps someone 😌. So it's not exactly for the sake of being painfully honest, often I just think I have something important to say and I feel very passionate about it (and if I don't say it I go sdfgkjhfgkjhsdkfgjhdf). Idk, poor impulse control. No idea. Sometimes I simply don't think, just say the thing. I rarely do something to deliberately hurt someone's feelings. Also I'm often misunderstood, so I think it causes me to over-explain whatever I do (like I'm doing it right now, I think I'm in my chatty mood 😅 irl I'm the opposite haha... I can just say nothing unless I feel comfortable).

Yeah, and not only I'm a Sun in Sagittarius, I'm a Mercury in Sagittarius too 😅. Mercury is responsible for communication. Though I do not treat this zodiac stuff very seriously, it more likely is an undiagnosed adhd (I mean I think I have it, but haven't been formally diagnosed, I literally googled "adhd I'm too intense reddit" after replying to the previous anon, because I think I'm just too intense and it comes off as arrogance, but I'm just very passionate when I'm like this). Oh and my coolest placement (that I also share with both of my blorbos) is Mars in Scorpio, I'm very passionate about this one 😂

Oh dear! You know what, I'd never really considered who was "second-most important"! So I did some pondering... and mulled it over with my advisor and confidante (@reneethegreatandpowerful), and have come to the conclusion that Zac is second. HOWEVER! The story has a few different groups it follows, with their own side plots and stuff, so I have also included perhaps one of the more interesting folks from each of these groups. Hello there, lovely! I am cackling at the idea of you stalking my blog because it’s absolute chaos and goodness knows what multifandom nonsense of mine you’ve had to suffer through! I do tag rant quite a bit.😆 That said, I’m glad perusing has helped you come up with some ideas for a drabble. Both sound great! Right up my alley. I know I would love either one.

If I had to choose, though, the time tourism one sparked my interest keenly. It’s been a while since I’ve read that trope and I love a good time travel fic. They’re always so fun. I’m pretty flexible about the time period it’s set in so feel free to surprise me! Let your mind take you where it wants to go. :)

However, if you want some direction: I love any kind of historical time period (Vikings, medieval, regency, Victorian era, Gilded Age etc.). I also like the 1940’s Old Hollywood era. And the 1960’s or 1980’s. You could set it in a futuristic sci-fi setting too, if you want. I’m game for anything.

Just like Jin Ling is both from the Jin Clan and the Jiang Clan, I want wwx to be both from the Lan Clan and the Jiang Clan. It’s just… they loved each other so much. Even if it’s just a little at a time, I’d like them both to try to be brothers again.

MDZS/CQL Ask Game

Alright! It’s difficult to choose just one thing because I love this story to pieces 💖. I loved the yi city arc and the repercussions of xue yang’s actions. After two years of living with xxc, what xue yang wants has changed but he is still stuck in his ways and his own actions take away this new comfortable life he was starting to love. I love the confrontation in jin guangyao’s mirror chamber. How lwj and wwx had all the evidence to unmask jgy and by the end of that scene wwx is the one who is unmasked and dying in lwj’s hands as they are forced to flee. I love every scene that involved Wei Wuxian SLOWY realizing his true feelings for his beloved hanguang jun. But my favorite thing. The one thing that makes me go B-A-N-A-N-A-S is the golden core reveal.

Okay, so all of the adaptations handle this differently but to date the way this is revealed in the book is my favorite. Because we read the story through wwx’s eyes. So what he doesn’t want to think about or want others to know, he hides SO WELL. And he REALLY hides the reason he became a demonic cultivator. He convinces himself (and in doing so, he convinces the audience) that it was to destroy the evil wens or because he doesn’t need to cultivate normally. He doesn’t hold a sword anymore because he wants everyone to know he is stronger without it. He boasts and he taunts and I started thinking maybe he’s lying.

Maybe he lost his core at the hands of Wen Zhuliu and that’s why he taunted him with Wen Chao’s disfigured body “I want you to see him this way and realize that you have failed. You have failed in protecting him from me.” Instead of just killing him outright. I was so sure he lost his core but I was also like am I wrong? Why does he never think about his golden core if that’s the case? We never saw him lose it… (In cql there was a scene where jc is healing from his lost golden core in yiling and then wwx begs wq for help of some sort. The latter wasn’t in the book. They were just there for a moment and then they left to baoshan sanren’s mountain) And then wen ning reveals the truth and like ripping off wallpaper everything suddenly made sense.

I’m the type of person to overanalyze. Often times that ends up being a downfall and as it turns out my theories were just a case of me expecting too much from a writer. But the yi city arc left me with an idea. Because there was something bothering me about that arc. It happens so early (around the 20-30 chapter mark). And it seemed like a big stop in the story. Yes, our main characters are there to find the missing body piece of their good brother “mr. severed hand”. But why do we need to know the life and backstory of these characters and leave wwx’s pov to see primarily through A-Qing’s eyes? Why is this important? You could have cut a lot of details and left it at a-qing hates her murderer and xy is a talented demonic cultivator who needs help with one body he can’t bring back to life. And I am of the thought that if it can be cut, then cut it. Side characters aren’t just protagonists of their own separate side stories; they’re best used when defining our protagonist (or another main character) through comparison.

So when we reach the halfway point of the novel and Wei Wuxian takes Jiang Cheng to see Baoshan Sanren to repair his core, the puzzle pieces formed and were begging to be put together. I thought back to the yi city arc and the story of Xiao Xingchen taking Song Lan to Baoshan Sanren to heal his eyes, when in actuality he was giving Song Lan his own. I was like the parallel is clear!! Wwx gave his core to jc instead of ‘helping him form a new one’! But wwx’s own behavior made me toss my theory aside. Because he said so himself. Wei Wuxian didn’t lose his core. And he seemed so sure of himself. Like the very idea was ridiculous. And he had me fooled! I had it solved but the protagonist made me rethink everything. And then to add the cherry on top, after all is said and done and Wei Wuxian is walking to his happy ending, we get to see Jiang Cheng’s point of view. And we discover that all along he never lost his core on a quick revenge scheme as we had been led to believe by wwx. He had lost his core to save wwx. Just as wwx had for him.

Ohhhhh. I think the main theme of mdzs is that everyone comes in shades of gray and everyone’s capable of great evil or great kindness depending on their circumstances (except maybe a few characters lol). Nhs… hm. The thing is… he’s such a good actor. Even better then jgy. So it all comes down to interpretation. I think he genuinely was a good guy who liked art and goofing off with friends. But the death of his older brother really made him snap. I think the moment he figured out the man who killed his brother was the most powerful cultivator in the Jianghu, he realized he would have to proceed carefully. And he got tunnel vision when thinking of his end goal. He’s just a guy who was put into an awful position and hurt others trying to get to his end goal. But I still think he’s a great character :)
