The first time Seok-Woo feels anything like attraction after his wife, is when he sees a woman plastering wet newspaper onto the glass of a zombie infested train.
Or
Seok-Woo stopped caring about romance after his wife left him. Who knew that the end of the world would be the thing to change that?

Nightmares Aren't Real My Darling
A Train to Busan fic, link full version here
When Soo-an wakes up screaming, they dont expect to hear her call out for Sang-Wha. Seok-Woo bolts up beside her in the small bed, grasping at her hands.
"Its alright. Soo-an we're ok, we're all ok." His voice is gentle, muffled over her cries.
"Sang-Wha! I have to see Sang-Wha!"
Seok-Woo buffers to go and grab Sang-Wha, hesitant to leave Soo-an in such a vulnerable moment. But her sobs are desperate and just as he's about to run to the master bedroom, Sang-Wha himself rushes in. He grips at a bat, looking around the room for any sign of the infected and instead, his eyes land on Soo-an, arms extended towards him.
"Sang-Wha! Sang-Wha!" She sobs.

i know i sound obsessed with him BUT LIKE .. this is how you write male characters. he should be the norm not the exception. the way i was expecting him to be an asshole after sol changes the timeline and yet he's still the same dumb loser who loves her when he doesn't even know her 😭 i could die bro i understand he's fictional but he's simply the best person i know my guy doesn't have a hating bone in his body and no other man is doing it like him
