Without denying me?” No slap? Anything? What is he thinking, i’m afraid now, my senses slowly returning and I can smell this place, i’m terrified. “What do you need, Lord?” I vomit out, I don’t enjoy feeling defeated this way. “What is it that your body can do?” My body? Oh. My pride swallowed the fact I am naked, I look down to my figure, my breast, my core, quickly I pull my legs to my chest covering myself, he reaches out and slams my legs down to their original position, “You said anything to get out, you can’t fight? you’re too weak…you should just give up yourself to me now.” Give myself up? you let your eyes shut again as you move in closer, your forehead lightly leaned against his. “i love you, sesshomaru,” you declare quietly, your nose just barely nuzzled against his.

he doesn’t respond immediately but after a moment, his hand softly tilts up your head to meet his lips with yours. the kiss is chaste and careful, and it says everything he struggles to say.

his words are quieter but still firm after he breaks away, and you know he feels the same just by the way he’s looking at you.

Inuyasha yelled over his shoulder, and electricity had her hair rising over her shoulders as Tessaiga cut Naraku into pieces. What remained of his mouth smirked, but Kagome nocked an arrow, reiki merging with youki as she and Sesshoumaru attacked simultaneously. What remained of Naraku disintegrated, his shocked cry dissolving with the rest of his body parts.

There was a distinct lack of his power, and when the last of the hornets were silenced, the group looked around as hope began to build. Beads clinked as Miroku unwound the wards that protected his hand. As the last strip of silk was pulled away and his hand was laid bare, he sank to his knees in relief.

Inuyasha and Sango reached for him at the same time, shoulders shaking as they gripped each other fiercely. Kagome looked on fondly. They'd been through so much, and now they'd finally be able to sleep at night without worrying about what the morning would bring. Stealing a glance at Sesshoumaru, her chest swelled with the thought of doing the same—
