Man i just found your blog and whatever au you got going on looks so interesting i just have no idea what's going on. Do you have like a post or something explaining exactly what it is :')
I had one, but I can’t find it so I’ll just start a sorta. Starter pack/master post for all of my main Mandela Catalogue aus, and will be updating this post with any new ones I make.
This is gonna be long, so. Bear with me.
The Alternate AU
The alt au is, in its simplest terms, a swap au, basically swapping the alternate characters and the human characters. (Making the humans alternates and vice versa.)
The main plot is thus: Mark Heathcliff after the events of TMC Vol 1, comes back from the dead, furious at Cesar for leaving him to die and “causing” his death. Cesar has an encounter with Alt Mark, fleeing Mandela and living in Bythorne, joining the BPS eight years after that incident, meeting Sarah Heathcliff, and Seth Greer. (the leader of the bps and this aus version of six. Though he. May as well be an oc knowing how different they are.)
There are of course other storylines that happen in this au, involving Adam, Jonah, Thatcher, and Ruth. Here are some screenshots of basic character info:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(More info relating to the characters can be found here)
This au also has fan fictions I’ve written portraying the aus main events, and I’ll link them below in recommended reading order:
1. Prologue
2. Wellness Check
3. Winter break 1998
4. New beginnings
5. Fateful reunion
6. Reluctant Allies
Additional ones that have no specific reading order:
Intruder alert — Turning point — Remembrance - Awake
There are fan-made aus of this au you might’ve seen on my blog, that are not canon in the slightest, such as:
return AU: all turned Alts are turned back into humans
Gemini AU: characters are fused together into singular beings
Monster au: everything’s the same but the human characters are monsters. Halloween themed kinda
Additional info can be seen in the #tmc alternate au tag on my blog, or the specific character tags I’ll put on this post. There’s so much to this au that. I can’t put it all here otherwise we’d be here all day. /lh
The Mandela Prophet AU
This au, which is smaller in scale to the one above, is centered on Adam Murray, and takes place directly after the events of vol 2.
After being left behind by Jonah, Adam is approached by alternate Gabriel, and is given an offer that he’ll get all the knowledge he wants, as long as he follows Gabriel. Adam in his desperate want for the truth, accepts Gabriel’s offer, but is betrayed when they instead inflict him with a supernatural alternate parasite, that takes over his body and gives victims M. A. D.
Here is a small sorta medical sheet that kinda explains said parasite, along with the Prophets official design:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fics:
1. Long walk home
2. Sleepless nights
3. Parasite
4: Intuition (non canon)
5: Buried Memories
6: Confrontation
Any other info on this au is found in the tag #mandela prophet
LabRats AU
The basic premise of this au is thus:
The characters of TMC are put through experiments in a scientific facility (Mandela BioTech), which is owned by Gabriel, a scientist obsessed with "perfection" and Dave Lee, a man that's reluctant, but willingly ignorant to the horrid acts happening under his watch. The main characters are mutated, given sometimes supernatural abilities. More info is in the #tmc Labrats au tag, so I recommend you start there, as this explanation is. pretty short.
Fic(s):
Prologue
Interview fics (can be read in any order): #02: Cesar
#04: Mark
Home Sweet Home au
In this au, it takes the whole. "Cesar's house is an alternate" theory and runs with it. Mark feels. oddly attached to the House, subconsciously always wanting to stay there and. make himself comfortable. While Cesar remains unaware that his Home is alive, and that he's been living in the belly of the beast for his entire life.
This au is still in production, meaning I recommend looking through the tag #tmc Home sweet Home au to get more info. plus, here's a link to the prologue!!
-Home is where the heart is
-Barotrauma
-Encounter
-Leah Heathcliff Interview
-Arthur Heathcliff interview
-Radio silence
I'm always up for questions about my aus, so feel free to send them in if you have any! :)

seth's powers and abilities in the pond prophet au
the powers he's able to grant tord:
• superhuman strength
• forcefield
• enhanced durability
seths other powers he can't grant tord use of:
• possession, on 2 levels:
• classical possession: seth can go into tord's body and control his every move. tord's consciousness is forced to take a backseat as seth puppeteers him. he has the limitations of pretty much being tord apart from using his powers. if he gets hurt, he'll feel the pain too, at least until he leaves again. he is not allowed to do this as tord does his prophetic tasks.
• "backseat possession": which is where he's in tord's body. tord will still be in control, but seth can grant him use of his angelic powers. their consciousnesses will co-exist for the time being.
• healing
• teleportation (uses this mainly when he strays off and then needs to quickly get back to tord)
• shapeshifting (creating his ideal humanoid form. angels are agender and their appearances are malleable. this is also why he just appears as the s symbol sometimes.)
• resurrection (not to be used EVER unless he wants to be fired.)
keep in mind, seth is the lowest level of angel having only one halo and no wings. other more powerful angels can have more halos and multiple pairs of wings.
additionally, control over their appearance is more broad with more power, creating less humanoid forms with eyes, floating limbs, halo formations, etc.

@look-at-those-niceass-rocks and I finished our watch (their first, my... eighth???) of Julie and the Phantoms the other day (*cough* over a week ago *cough*), and like the previous two times, we had some unhinged things to say about it. This one's a bit shorter as we only had episodes 8 and 9 left, but if you enjoy our dumbassery, rest assured, we'll be watching the Descendants franchise next!
Honorable mention: us spending the first 20 minutes of our call trying to find the first two posts because the blog search engine simply Does Not Work.
Captions: [Whimsical music plays] Me: Whimsical music GAYS, OHHHHHHH
*Flashback of the Hotdog Incident (tm)* Bee: Street meat street meat street meat Me: Are you saying "straight meat"??? Bee: NO!
Ray Molina : *is very engaged with his son's ghost dip theory* Bee: The Bandit Heeler energy on this man
Julie: *outside the Patterson's house* Me: Do you have tissues?? Bee: Uhhh, yeah, next to me? Me: Good Bee: Oh boy
*cue lots of sniffling over Unsaid Emily*
Bee: You can tell their prefrontal lobes stopped developing at 17 Me: Yeah, I guess that happens when you die? Brain stops growing?? Bee: hehehe brain machine broke
Julie: What the heck??? Me: Let Julie say fuck! Bee: Of all the characters, Julie should get to say fuck
Me: Finale time! Any predictions? Bee: Oh god, I don't think I could outdo the pink ladies one, uhhh
Bee then spends the next minute and a half being a prophet (in a sense): 1. Alex is going to get a very dramatic on-screen kiss with Seth Clearwater because otherwise I will be Upset 2. In the same way they become Real-or like. Where people can see them-when they play, they will find a way to be corporeal where they can touch each other 3. I think there should be a dance fight with-oh, fuck, what's his name? Evil ghost man?? With his Ghost Cocaine???
Alex and Willie: *emotional hug* Me: WAIT PAUSE. *zooms in on Alex's hand* I think I have that ring. Bee: Riveting.
The boys: *trying to get the PATD opener gig* Promoter: *freaking out* Assistant: *unbothered* Me: A lesbian and an incel are trapped in an office together. Bee: The incel is going to get eaten. Me: And not in the way he wants!
Julie: *having a cry in the alley* Me: I wonder how much they had to pay to keep that Subway sign in the background.
Julie: *takes dahlia from the street vendor* Bee: Truffula tree lookin-ass flower.
Bee: Also I didn't want to ruin that beautiful moment, but all I could think of was "mom come pick me up I'm scared."
Me: this poor tech guy is Going Through It (tm)
Carrie: Been here before Trevor: *Bombastic side eye* Bee: HA that look said, "Damn, I really forgot to parent this girl"
Nick: *Jamming* Us: GO FEDORA KID!!!
Me @ Trevor: That man is going to pass out
Me, as the Boys are appearing: See, I've always wondered what was going on in the ghost club side of this scene, cause look, their costumes are missing pieces! Alex's shirt is open, Reggie's jacket is just gone! Bee: Oh yeah Me: Like it's probably just a storytelling choice to show they're where they want to be via clothes, 'cause this is more in line with how they dress normally, but it does make me wonder what we're missing. Like is there a fight? Luke: *appearing* Me: See his sleeves got ripped off! How and why? Bee: They did that for us. You, specifically Me: *cackling*
Julie and Luke: *crying, about to hug* Me, noticing that Luke's pants Fit Very Well: Not the most important thing happening here, but uh, dat ass tho
After rewinding the scene a bit because it didn't hit Bee in the moment that They Were Hugging Bee: I was so caught up in the euphoria of a good butt that for a moment, I lived in a world where they weren't ghosts
Julie + Phantoms: We played the Orpheum! Me: Saved by the power of friendship! Bee: And this man's ass!
Me: So yeah, that was Julie and the Phantoms, how ya feeling? Bee: Great! This definitely won't change my brain chemistry forever
Next up, Descendants!

𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬: Sutenankh, once revered for valor, finds himself ensnared in the ethereal confines of divine justice. Bound by celestial chains, bewildered and wounded, Sutenankh finds himself ensnared within the ethereal confines of divine justice, awaiting the inexorable decree of his final destiny.
Once a beacon of valor and righteousness, Sutenankh's descent into the abyss of moral decay stands as a harrowing testament to the seductive allure of human frailty. Seduced by the siren call of ambition and ensnared by the tendrils of avarice, he succumbed to the darkest recesses of his soul, forfeiting his noble mantle to the corrupt machinations of mortal desires.
The weight of his transgressions hangs heavy upon him, an invisible shroud woven from the lamentations of the oppressed and the anguished cries of the forsaken. In his folly, he granted dominion to the vilest of mortals, unwittingly bestowing power upon those whose hearts were blackened by greed and malice. Innocents languished in chains, their freedoms bartered for the fleeting promises of false prophets, while the opulent revelry of the elite cast a pall of despair upon the land.
Now, within the hallowed halls of Horus, where the celestial firmament meets the mortal realm, Sutenankh stands as a penitent supplicant before the divine tribunal. Here, the very essence of justice is palpable, manifesting as a sublime tapestry woven from threads of golden light and azure hues, a testament to the immutable balance of the cosmos.
The architecture of the celestial sanctum is a symphony of celestial grandeur, crafted by the hands of divine artisans whose skill transcends mortal comprehension. Pillars of alabaster rise like towering sentinels, their surfaces adorned with intricate reliefs depicting the triumphs and tribulations of mortal existence. Canopies of celestial silk, woven from threads of purest light, billow gently in the ethereal breeze, their iridescent fibers shimmering with the radiance of a thousand suns.
At the heart of the sanctum lies a pool of crystalline waters, its surface a mirror to the heavens above. Here, the waters of life flow in eternal abundance, their purity a testament to the divine benevolence that sustains all creation. Statues of Horus, resplendent in their majesty, gaze down upon the scene with eyes that blaze like fiery beacons, their vigilance an ever-present reminder of the omnipotence of the divine will.
In this sanctum of celestial splendor, Sutenankh awaits his fate with a heart heavy with remorse and contrition, hoping against hope that the scales of justice may yet tip in his favor, and that the divine mercy may shine upon his tarnished soul once more.
In the labyrinthine depths of Seth and Sekhmet's dungeons, the unfortunate youth languished in an unyielding grip of torment, ensnared by the relentless passage of time. Each day unfurled as an eternity of unspeakable agony, punctuated by tortures as cruel as they were unrelenting.
From the moment his shackles were fastened, a profound silence enveloped him, stifling any attempt at lamentation or supplication. His tongue, deftly severed, became a mute testament to the futility of speech in the presence of the divine. He grasped, in that harrowing moment, the futility of attempting to justify his existence before the omnipotence of Amon-Ra.
With a perverse fervor, Seth extracted one of his eyes, offering it as a grim tribute to the celestial pantheon, while Sekhmet, thirsting for accolades, seized his chestnut tresses as though they were a trophy to be displayed for all eternity.
In this abyssal expanse of despair, where even the most compassionate deities dared not intrude, Anubis, Osiris, Horus, and Bastet stood as silent sentinels, bearing witness to the suffering of Sutenankh, their progeny. A pall of mournful resignation hung heavy in the air, a silent acknowledgment of the impotence that beset them in the face of such wanton cruelty.
In the cavernous halls of anguish, where shadows whispered of treachery and hearts bled with the sting of betrayal, his soul convulsed with the agony of deception. Betrayed by a friend once held dear, and by those he had revered as guardians and mentors, his spirit quivered with a sorrow deep as the abyss.
As fate wove its cruel tapestry, his path was entrusted to the hands of Anubis, the jackal-headed deity known for his tender regard for the departed and infirm. Anubis, whose visage was often shrouded in enigma, now found his resolve faltering at the sight of his beloved son ensnared in the tendrils of despair.
With the weight of eternity hanging heavy upon his shoulders, Anubis grappled with the burden of decision. In a realm where time itself seemed to hold its breath, he deliberated, his gaze piercing through the veil of uncertainty. Ultimately, he chose the path of utmost severity, yet one suffused with a measure of mercy: eternal imprisonment—a fate both cruel and, in its own twisted way, mercifully devoid of physical pain.
In a somber tableau of divine decree, the semi-divine warrior, bereft of strength to battle against fate's inexorable hand, acquiesced to the harrowing ritual of being mummified alive. The torturous ordeal, though agonizing beyond measure, paled in comparison to the anguish that rent his heart asunder. With a final, labored exhalation, he yielded to the embrace of death, his essence consigned to the frigid depths of the sarcophagus, where the stygian river of darkness awaited.
Apprehensive of the titanic power veiled within his enigmatic form, the gods ordained the sealing of the lid upon the sarcophagus, a vessel wrought from obsidian-black stone, its form adorned with meticulously carved motifs of solid gold—a sepulcher befitting the noblest of sovereigns.
Fearing the latent potential of his reawakening, Amon, Seth, Sekhmet, Osiris, and Bastet invoked a curse of dire consequence upon any audacious enough to trespass upon the sanctity of the celestial warrior's resting place. Theirs was a sentence of eternal repose, a somber penance for the folly of disturbing the peace of the divine.
Unbeknownst to the pantheon of gods, a clandestine pact had been forged between Anubis and Horus, their hearts weighed heavy with sorrow for the fate that had befallen their celestial kin. Together, they clandestinely inscribed a prophecy upon the annals of human history, its verses a beacon of hope for a future where a soul of true virtue would emerge, destined to liberate the celestial warrior from his timeless slumber.

Hallo chaaaa☆
Saw your post, time to send ask 🏃‍➡️ Actually more like i just send whatever in my mind right now
Kodaka once said (on bsky, although not canon, it is still fun to think about) that Seth's childhood had similarities with Jataro's.
I wonder how toxic is his family
maybe he was scolded when he was young, which led to him panicking when he heard adults/people with more power (priest, Yomi) scold him? Or is he subjected to cold violence because of the creed "silence is golden" and he suppresses his feelings of wanting to express himself?
What do you think about this?
Link to the post in case you need recheck: https://bsky.app/profile/kazkodaka.bsky.social/post/3koc6n22qwu27
YEAH I SAW THAT !!!! it drove me sososo insane when i first saw it because I always headcanoned that Seth had a rough homelife/childhood and turns out its canon......... im a prophet
anyway I havee . thoughts, on his family. I imagine that his parent's verbally abusive, similiar to Jataros. They were probably also pretty absent too seeing as that's a notable part of Jataros homelife. additionally the creed doesn't paint a very welcoming picture, encouraging silence and coming off as controlling, and I imagine his parents were strict over the creed
youu're like totally right about the thing about people in power, i imagine because of his upbringing he has a complicated relationship with authority figures, having been conditioned to do as they say and follow orders and please them while also having been consistently mistreated by them throughout his life
also random sidenote but I think of his family as being rich and prestigious
I also think Seth has siblings, not for any specific reason but rather that if someone has a child they're likely to have more than one so it just makes sense probability wise. I would say he has like... 3-4 siblings ? I dont have a solid headcanon for it though. I imagine the relationship amongst them would be very competitive, partly because of their home environment encouraging it, with them fighting to be better than the other and get validation/approval from their parents.
Imm not sure if Seth would be like, the eldest or youngest or somewhere in the middle, I kind of want to make him the eldest just for that eldest daughter syndrome. That and by making him the eldest you could headcanon that his parents choosing to have more children was because they wanted to have 'normal' and 'right' kids, unlike Seth who is sickly.
Speaking of Seth being sickly, I headcanon that he's disabled (specifically that he has Vocal Chord Paralysis, which often causes someone to have a whispery voice) and like probably autistic and/or chronically ill. I imagine that this makes his family see him as incapable and helpless, despite also holding him to high standards. this would lead to frustrating and upsetting situations for Seth and would noot help his confidence at all thats for sure
Uhmm thats it for now!! I mean I could probably say more but oughfj this is already pretty long so . I hope you enjoyed my hcs and rambles!!! and thanks for the ask :3

The Angel Gabrielle heralds the arrival of Christ but also the prior arrival of the antichrist.
Tumblr media
What an incredible episode!
Yes, she's coming soon, and all the very detailed Beth and Daryl call-backs, of which there are too many to count, just show us that all the signs are there, as Daryl said!
I'm going to focus on what comes next in this post more than the obvious repeats of their story.
Having Father Gabrielle be the very first thing we see was symbolically huge.
So is the fact that Seth will be with Emily in France on resurrection Sunday at comic con, I'll go into that a bit later.
I'm going to break down the meaning of this introductory scene because it tells us what comes next.
We first see Gabrielle's face as he looks upward after hearing the sound of a helicopter flying overhead.
Tumblr media
The helicopter 🚁 symbolism In this show is always a depiction of God or a celestial body from the spiritual realm.
Here it's depicting God giving the Angel Gabrielle, a message.
As Gabriel said in 509, we look at what is unseen because what is unseen is eternal. We don't actually see the helicopter, so it's a hint at its eternal nature.
To understand what they are showing us here, we need to know a little about the angel Gabrielle.
In the Bible, the angel Gabrielle is known as the messenger Angel.
Tumblr media
Gabrielle is given a message by God to go tell Mary that she is going to have a baby and that baby would be the saviour of the world - Christ.
Gabriel is the one that brings or heralds the Good News (music box) of the coming Christ.
This very first scene of episode 105 - The ones who live - is depicting that message and Beth's arrival to come soon.
The good news music box is about to play again...
Tumblr media
Gabriel then kills a walker, which represents the fall of mankind.
Christ's sacrifice will remove the fall and bring redemption for those who accept the cure, so this message Gabriel gets, is about defeating death, and that's symbolised by his message the double edge sword defeating this walker.
Tumblr media
The tool used to defeat death is Christ's sacrifice, which is the word of God, or good news, and it's symbolic of a two edged sword.
Tumblr media
The other thing that Angel Gabriel is known for is interpreting a vision for the prophet Daniel about the end times.
That vision is known as the vision of the Ram and the Goat from Daniel 8.
Tumblr media
A Ram is a male sheep, and we definitely got some more in your face, Ram/sheep symbolism in this episode.
Tumblr media
I've talked about the sheep and the goat judgements of the Millennial kingdom quite a lot recently.
Well, this vision plays into that same theme...
It's symbolic and important, so I highly suggest you read more about it first, and this will make more sense.
Read more on the sheep and goats info I've already covered here and here
This vision that Daniel has is interpreted by the angel Gabriel, and its meaning is about the coming 7 year antichrist Kingdom, which is followed by the Millennial kingdom of Christ.
To represent this vision, we see Gabriel hear the helicopter a second time 🚁
He is getting a second message from God, and this second message is about the coming antichrist kingdom and the millennial kingdom to follow...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's no coincidence that as this second message gets delivered, Gabriel starts saying the Lords prayer.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, THY KINGDOM COME, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
This prayer is a prayer that asks God to come back and set up his Millennial kingdom on earth. So it's referencing the return of Christ, which by extension references the antichrist kingdom that comes first.
This vision of Daniel's that Gabriel interprets, shows what the antichrist will do when he is in power for 7 years.
As I've already talked about, the A's (non followers) are killed, while the followers of antichrist take the mark of the Beast, which will circle around to be what begins the Zombie outbreak to begin with.
The Pharmakon "cure" is the poison
Tumblr media
The beginning is the end.
One other thing Daniel's vision portrays is that the antichrist will also commit what's called the abomination that causes desolation, this is an act that is linked to sacrificing a pig (which is considered unclean) in the temple of God, and while doing this, he declares himself to be god.
What's this got to do with the walking dead?
Well, we have already seen a depiction of this in season 4. Believe it or not, it's related to the pig called Violet.
Tumblr media
Purple or violet is the colour of royalty, so the pig called violet that Rick sacrificed was a depiction of this vision.
Tumblr media
We know that team Violet played a part in the beginning of the outbreak, and ultimately, playing god (violet) and making humans (the temple of God/made in his image) unclean (pig) will be the abomination that is the beginning of it all.
Carl calls the pig violet, and Rick tells him not to name them. They're food (a hint at the cannibalism aspect of the abomination)
Tumblr media
We see Carl tell Lizzy almost the exact same thing about the walkers. Don't name them. They're not pets, and they're not people.
Violet seems unwell, and we get our first look at the first symptoms of what this mark of the beast does...
Tumblr media
We see Rick feed the violet pigs to the walkers (cannibals), the duel symbolism of this abomination circles back on itself.
There are two kingdoms at play here, and both Christ and the antichrist are linked to the colour purple.
One is God, and the other wants to be god, so he declares himself god and creates a new species in his image.
That's why the pig in season 4 is called violet, and that's why team Violet had a hand in starting the outbreak to being with. They play god and cause human abominations that are no longer human, as Dr Jenner from the CDC says.
And that's where the A and the B, sheep and goat symbolism comes in again. 🐑 🐐
A's are labelled as such because they aren't followers of the Antichrist, don't take the violet unclean mark so they get killed.
B's are followers, so they live.
The same but opposite it true for the Millennial kingdom.
A's are labelled as such because they aren't followers of Christ. They took the unclean violet mark, so they aren't allowed into the Millennium kingdom.
B's are followers so they live.
The symbolism for both kingdoms is so similar that it's given to both the CRM and team family at the same time in this show.
The antichrist mimics Christ with a false light.
2 Corinthians 11.14
And no wonder, since Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
While Beth and Rick have Christ symbolism, they also have antichrist symbolism.
One thing that happens to the Antichrist is that he receives a fatal wound to the head but is healed from it, and this miraculous healing will make the whole world follow him.
So you see, the two kingdoms are being mirrored at the same time in this show.
Now we suddenly have purple connected to Beth on Resurrection Sunday.
Tumblr media
On that, I want to talk about light
John 12 Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
We know Beth has been described as light before, so I want to look at the light colour spectrum.
Tumblr media
Purple is the Royal colour, but it's also the colour associated with the return of the King.
The quickest frequency of light is purple...
12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Emily at ComicCon in France, depicted with purple and on resurrection Sunday is huge, add to that she's with Gabriel, means Beth will take part in either a real cure or a fake cure.
Which one, we will have to wait and see...

Honestly, beforehand I was bored and thought of all the angsty situations of Carnival Sethe having to watch ai kill players, and having to possibly kill them himself… now I’m so happy to know that technically I was thinking correctly (no matter how odd it is to say I’m happy about that-) and I was honestly thinking of asking it in the little carnival Sethe ask thing, but I figured I was just overthinking lol so I guess now I have my answer
gonna do more of an info drop of Carnival Sethe teehee
even though it’s said that Kinger calls Sethe “Prophet” despite Kinger not knowing Sethe exists, it’s because Kinger forgets Sethe exists. Sethe isolates himself in Ragatha’s room to keep any interactions with the other AI at a low & so Kinger won’t start normalizing Sethe as one of the boss AI. Sethe has learnt Kinger is kinda the god of the carnival, therefore has added to his AI act to think of Kinger as such. Though sometimes, someone can start to believe their own lie.
How foolish of him to think he deserves the title of a true prophet when the “god” he pretends serves is fake.
