Blood Moon Rising | 30
Tumblr media
‘As beings from ancient times, the Vampire Clan has undergone numerous changes to thrive in the Modern Age after surviving the Ancient Blood War. As a part of the traveller family in his clan, Jimin has parted ways from the coven until the day his Lords warned him of the lurking danger from inside the clan. And all so suddenly, he was pulled out of his solitary, only to have given the responsibility he had never wished to have, along with the threats that come as a part of the deal.
Born as youngest yet having lost so much, you have given your family your loyalty, your protection, and had been given their love and support that had become the only thing that keeps you going. But what happens when the only people you have put your trust in only repay you with betrayal?’

A quick reminder, that as we progress with the story with more possible crossovers between stories happening in the future chapters, I will start referring to the other female characters with their OC names each time they make any appearance in the scenes. Feel free to follow and get to know more about these characters through the Characters Guide page linked above. Enjoy!

Jimin has lost count of how many times he had travelled through the Resting Forest.
He had gone through the same trail for many years, decades, and most possibly even during the past century that he spent more time being constantly on the move, exploring the continent and travelling across the vast land rather than staying secluded within the home castle. The trail has become so familiar to him that he no longer questions the reason why he had found himself running through this forest during the frenzy state that he was in when he was fighting to survive from the poison, sending him far towards the East side of the continent.
It had sent him falling right into your path, causing an encounter that seemed to have been destined to happen.
Jimin stops himself from going down memory lane just as he begins thinking about the entire event, unwilling to let his mind wander too far as he silently follows behind Kim Junmyeon, the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack who is leading him and his Vampire brothers towards the werewolf’s home territory. He looks over his shoulders, immediately meeting Jinhwan and Junhoe’s eyes as they both walk closely behind him. Both of them are wearing the look of exhaustion, looking worse for wear but doing their best to keep their heads up to hide it.
The twin sons of Lord Seunghyun are walking right behind them. Why they have chosen to tag along instead of going ahead with Hanbin who had left earlier is something that Jimin cannot understand. It had seemed like they had decided to stay close to Junhoe, the one who they had looked up to as their protector ever since their young age. The messenger that had come with them, Yeosang, has separated from the group right after the battle had ended to continue with his duty, as the twins had asked him to send out a message to the other Lords’ children to let them know that they have met with Jimin and that the Orphans are gathering in the werewolves’ territory. At the far back, the Siren mage, Hyun, follows silently. His eyes keep flashing between black and silver while he walks, a sign that he is using his spells. Perhaps it is his way of tracing any signs of threat coming along the way, and he is doing so while chatting along with the Enforcer who is walking right beside him in his human form as he had injured his shoulders during the fight.
Behind Jimin and his group of entourage, the rest of the werewolf pack follows, mostly remaining in their werewolf forms to provide security for their Alpha and his special guests. Though the security measures do nothing to stop Jimin from staying alert on their journey. Not only because of the possible threat that may still come, knowing that not all of Jiho’s followers have been put down or apprehended from the previous fight, but also for the fact that the Alpha and his pack seem to be leading him down a secret path that Jimin had never once noticed before when he travelled past this region.
Despite knowing everything about the Resting Forest and the territory surrounding the Blue Moon Pack, there was nothing much that Jimin had known about the aforementioned werewolf pack itself. Nothing else other than its various characteristics which had become the reason why the pack had been chosen as the intermediary of the Peace Treaty. Ever since the end of the Blood War, they have been widely known and proven to be the most proficient mediators in maintaining the Peace Treaty between the Shifters community and the Vampires clan, while their territory has become a neutral ground, as they are strategically situated at the part of the continent which allows them to maintain communication with their alliances with ease.
To the East, the Blue Moon Pack is surrounded by other smaller packs of shifters and small human towns, while they also have direct access to the two largest and strongest packs in the continent—the Supreme Wolf Pack and the Wolf Moon Pack—and their human alliance in the Rivermouth Village. Slightly up to the North, they are merely a coast apart from the restricted area which is the home island of the Fairies, though it had never been confirmed if the pack had ever developed any direct association with the latter, as the Fairies have been mostly known to keep to themselves and remain distant from the other communities in the continent. To the West, the pack is connected directly to more human territories as their closest neighbours, while they have the Vampire clan’s homeland as their farthest neighbour, even if they still have easy access to remain in contact with their representatives within the Vampire clan.
The advantage that their strategic location has offered does come with a price, however, as they are also situated within the proximity of one of the most hazardous parts of the land.
Surrounded by the Resting Mountains which acts like a massive wall of shield to protect them from any possible threat, along with the Resting Forest which acts as the perfect barrier and secured border surrounding the pack’s territory, they are still susceptible to the danger coming from the No Man’s Land down South and the Hunters’ colony on their South West side. The barren land serves as a silent threat, with ruthless rogues and halflings residing within its territory, constantly waiting for the right time to move out in search of new lands to raid. Meanwhile, the Hunters could often be seen lurking around the area, using the excuse of watching over the rogue shifters in order to stop them from coming near the human towns. Yet the shifters community has always known that they are simply lying in wait, anticipating for a chance to strike any unsuspecting pack of shifters before infiltrating their territory to seize control.
With these facts in mind, Jimin wonders if this would be the reason behind the peculiar route that the Alpha is taking him and his brothers upon entering their home territory.
For a long time, there is only one open path that Jimin has known to be the main entrance leading to the Blue Moon Pack’s territory. He knows of its existence and where it is originally located, enough to know to stay clear from it whenever he would travel past this region. Enough to notice that this is not the path that he has in mind. The moment he began to follow the Alpha’s lead, he had expected to see the familiar-looking path that he had been avoiding for many years. Yet, instead of finding himself going around or between the Resting Mountains the way he had expected he would, Alpha Junmyeon has been leading him down below, going through the path beneath the mountains.
“Is it safe to assume that this isn’t your public entrance that would have been the main access meant for your regular guests?” Jimin questions the Alpha after a short period of time walking in silence through the cavern underneath the mountains. His voice bounces against the rocky walls around them, followed by an echo that sounds subtle and smooth. It gives him the slightest hint of how deep this cavern seems to be and how far the journey that they still need to take before reaching the end, but also hints at just how well-maintained this secret path has been.
Right beside him, Alpha Junmyeon responds with a soft chuckle as he nods at the Vampire. “No, this is not our public entrance. Blue Moon Pack has multiple entry points for security measures. Our territory is located in one of the most compromising places in the continent, open to threats and challenges. Both the mountains and the forest have been sufficient enough to hide us from our enemy’s sight, making it hard for those who have never once set foot in our territory to find where we truly are, but we still cannot risk jeopardising our safety during moments like this one.”
Hearing the werewolf’s answer, Jimin simply nods, acknowledging the measures that the werewolf pack has taken to protect themselves from the challenges that they must regularly face. A new sense of admiration grows on Jimin as he silently commends them for being resourceful, proving further that they are truly a worthy ally. He now understands precisely well why you and your family had thought of them with high regard, putting aside the fact that you were once mated with one of the previous Alpha’s sons.
“So that means there are more of these secret passages hidden under the mountains?” Jimin asks, both out of curiosity and also for the sake of not letting his mind goes all the way into wondering about the life you had before he met you. To his relief, everyone around him seems to be preoccupied with the need to focus on getting through the passageway safely to notice the emotional turmoil that suddenly overcomes him.
“Beneath, around, and over. Each one is hidden perfectly with only a few selected pack members and ranked wolves would know how to access, and each one is specially guarded against any possible threat from both inside and outside of our territory,” Alpha Junmyeon explains with a proud smile, before slowly adding, “I don’t think even your mate had any knowledge of all the passages that we have despite having spent quite a long time living with us. She only knew a few of the old ones that the immediate family members of the previous Alphas would use, since she had used them to come and go when she needed to, but there had been a couple of new ones that we had created since the pack has been growing rapidly over the years.”
Jimin gives out a soft chuckle. “Seeing that she didn’t even bother mentioning it in the first place, I’m pretty sure that even if she has figured them all out, she would keep it to herself to protect you and your family. Even from me,” he lightly jokes, smiling wider as Alpha Junmyeon laughs at his comment. Jimin waits until their laughter dies down before uttering slowly, “I guess news travels fast around here,” indicating the fact that the werewolf had somehow found out that Jimin had recently mated with you, a fact that wasn’t supposed to have reached them when neither of you had made it public as it had only happened recently.
Alpha Junmyeon falls silent for a brief moment, giving Jimin nothing but a small smile. “We have a mage who resides with us while acting as our counsellor. A member of the Peacekeepers. She has foreseen your mating while maintaining contact with her mentor, the grand mage, Agatha, who had confirmed her vision to be true,” he later says to Jimin, who is not completely surprised to hear Agatha’s name being mentioned as she had always appeared to be someone who was crucial to the Peacekeepers and their purpose. “Even if we haven’t heard the news from our counsellor, I would’ve still recognised the scent you are carrying and the mating mark that she left on you right the moment we met. I surely hope that my sister—” he stops himself briefly with a chuckle and quickly says, “Oh, forgive me. I mean, my former sister-in-mating. I hope that she is doing well.”
Jimin gives the Alpha a warm smile. “She is surviving and thriving regardless of the circumstances. Due to your relations with each other, I do believe that she will remain to regard herself as your sister-in-mating, as my existence could never erase the history that she had with your brother.” Hearing this, the Alpha nearly stumbles. He quickly turns to Jimin, shocked, quite obviously not expecting to hear the Vampire acknowledging his late brother, your fated mate, without any hint of jealousy. Though his eyes grow soft as Jimin later adds, “She still thinks highly of you as well, and she respects you as both the Alpha and the older brother that she never had growing up. She had even asked me personally to find you if I ever need to when she heard that I was travelling through this area to reach home.”
Jimin turns to the Alpha as they both stop walking for a brief moment, nodding with a smile. “Never would have thought that I would find myself in a circumstance where you would find me first and aid me before I had the chance to reach out. I do wonder, however, how it was possible for you to find us in the first place. Or, more specifically, to know that I would be there in need of help, and to think that you are working side by side with Hanbin, the brother that I thought I had lost.”
Alpha Junmyeon locks his gaze with Jimin for a moment before proceeding with the journey. He has tried to hide it, but Jimin can still catch the glint of tears appearing in the corner of his eyes as he looks away. “I highly appreciate that, knowing that she still thinks of me the same way,” the Alpha says with a soft voice. The moment he turns to look at Jimin once more, there is a bit more warmth in his gaze and his smile as he speaks, “I still think of her as my little sister. I don’t think that it will change anytime soon. Regardless of who she is mated with. And it was an honour of mine to assist you when you were in need. Don’t worry, all of your questions will be answered soon, including why and how your brother had come to be with us.”
Despite his curiosity and the questions lingering inside his head, Jimin simply smiles in return, choosing to be patient about getting his answers. “Thank you, Alpha. For being there for me and my brothers, and for bringing aid to us. And, more importantly, I certainly hope that things wouldn’t change between you and my mate, whatever happens in the future.”
At his comment, Alpha Junmyeon gives a brief nod, before his expression changes. Straightening his back and shoulders, the Alpha puts on a more serious look on his face, acting once again as the host Alpha before he gets too emotional about his sister-in-mating who he hasn’t seen for years. “It won’t take us long before we arrive,” he calmly says as he continues to walk ahead of the group, Jimin quickly following close behind. “These caverns were created as quick passageways, not only to help us sneak in, but also for our emergency escape, so the journey would take much shorter compared to the trip that we normally would have needed if we had gotten through the main entryway. This tunnel specifically was created to lead you straight to the safety chamber within our pack house.”
Jimin reacts with a nod. Then his mind wanders back to the conversation that they shared previously, back to when the Alpha invited him and his brother to his pack for the first time. “Is there where these guests of yours are waiting for us at?”
“Yes, they would be waiting for you there. I’m sure that your brother, Hanbin, had already joined them by now,” Alpha Junmyeon says with a secretive smile, as he continues to make Jimin wonder about who these ’guests’ might have been, as the Alpha had never taken the chance to explain further before they departed towards his home pack. “I’m sure that the safe chamber would be more fitting for this reunion, and for the private meeting that we have prepared for you.”
A wave of distrust spreads through the air around Jimin as his brothers overhear the Alpha’s words. An unsettling feeling rises inside him as well at how vague the Alpha has been about whoever it is waiting for Jimin and his brothers to arrive. But Jimin has no other choice but to trust the Alpha, knowing that Hanbin has done the same by reaching the pack first.
Jimin tries his best to tame his curiosity, not wanting to let it take away his focus as he slowly enters a new and unfamiliar territory. “Can’t wait to meet them,” Jimin simply mutters, as he silently sends his thoughts to his brothers and Hyun, warning them to stay alert and be prepared for whatever is waiting for them at the other end of this tunnel.
Tumblr media
Jimin breathes in the fresh night air as he steps out of the long cavern, and he is immediately surrounded by the ripples of force that are a part of the Blue Moon Pack’s signature. It isn’t as powerful or as intimidating as the forces that he had felt in the past when he visited the Supreme Wolf Pack during one of his missions, but it is enough to alert him, to remind him that he has stepped foot into a foreign territory that might not always be so welcoming to Vampires, especially under the circumstances that they are in.
His own powers begin to rise in response, forming a protective barrier around him against the forces that seem to be present to identify him as a new threat. He controls himself, however, until he settles down from his need to fight and the ripples of forces around him start to calm down, settling around him in a more welcoming embrace. He looks around, noticing his brothers doing the same while the two mischievous twins seem completely unaffected. Right behind them, almost looking just as unaffected as Lord Seunghyun’s children, Hyun remains calm as he continues conversing with the Enforcer who had been travelling alongside him.
Jimin doesn’t know much about the siren or his powers, but he could sense that the mage has exceptional control of his powers and magic. His calm and quiet nature might be his way of hiding the true nature of his magic, something that Jimin had witnessed during the fight and back when they were still in the Wiccan community’s hideout. And he is seeing it now here, as the shifter walks past the border without so much of a flinch when the forces around him should be pressuring him from various sides the way they do against the Vampires. To have such a powerful being — someone who is supposed to be a part of a community of shifters that has been living far hidden in their sanctuary for centuries — now working with modern white magic and joining hands with the Peacekeepers, is something that has Jimin wondering and questioning about the boy’s true identity.
Deciding to put his curious mind at ease and focus instead on the events happening in the present, Jimin then turns to the Alpha who is already waiting for him. Together with his entourage in tow, Jimin proceeds to follow him across the open ground which spreads from the mouth of the cavern that they had just walked out from, a gravel-covered pathway marking the way that they are supposed to follow to reach their destination.
As they continue their walk, Jimin silently observes his surroundings. The trees here are much smaller than what he had encountered out there in the forest, but they might be just as capable of giving shelter to everyone walking down this very same pathway. It would have given the Vampires the perfect shield against the sunlight, though it is hard to confirm it now as the day is already turning into nightfall once again.
Above him, the sky appears to be tinted in dark grey, with only a hint of burnt tangerine shining on the horizon as the sun takes its final descent for the night. Jimin cannot believe that an entire day had passed, though the moment he is surrounded by solitude and serenity, it seems as if the long battle that he had just gone through has ended a long period of time ago. He can still feel the aftermath of the battle—the exhaustion, the remnants of the wounds that are still in the process of healing, and the feeling of dread that has been following him since he was forced to fight his own kind. Even his entire senses are still vibrating, as if he could still feel the rumbling of the forest while it was burning in flames.
A massive cedar tree appears before him just as he reaches the end of the open pathway, rising tall from the ground just as Jimin slowly walks closer. It takes him a moment to realise that the tree is growing against the side of a building, with its trunk leaning against the stone walls while its branches are giving the perfect shades to partially hide the pair of wooden doors that Jimin can see peeking through the shadows. As if the tree had come alive at one point and simply decided to rest against the structure, protecting it from any possible intruders with its entire body.
“This building—” Hyun wonders loudly as he steps forward and stands beside Jimin, before he starts voicing the very same question that the Vampire is dying to ask, “Would this be the pack house that you mentioned earlier?”
The Alpha smiles knowingly at the siren mage and answers, “Yes, this is a part of our pack house. Or, if you want me to be precise, you are currently looking at the additional sector of the main house which is placed at the rear end of the entire residential complex. This area is often used to accommodate regular guests or shelter families of Enforcers who are on leave for pack’s duty, which is why this access is provided here to give these guests or the families staying on this side of the house more privacy and the security they need.”
“Ah, I see,” Hyun says, laughing softly. “I was wondering why the Blue Moon Pack would hide its main house so deep into the woods or use such an old building to shelter its members. I half expected to hear that you had simply disguised the house for incomers and unfamiliar guests like us.”
Smiling at Hyun’s curiosity, Alpha Junmyeon shakes his head. “As I have mentioned, this passageway is meant for anyone who needs to mobilise in private while also functioning as an escape route from within the pack. This is the safest route that we could choose for you to enter the pack house without drawing unwanted attention from other pack members, something that I am sure you wanted to avoid,” he explains further while pointing out that he knows that Jimin and his group have been moving in secrecy before reaching this area.
Though it is true that the Alpha knows what Jimin and the others truly need, as gaining attention on their movements and presence in the pack would be the last thing that they need, as it would alert others from outside the pack of what they are trying to do. Having caught in an intense battle earlier had certainly ruined their initial plans, as now a fraction of the rebels had revealed that Jimin did survive the poison. And now Jimin can no longer predict what the rebels would do if they should find out that he had made contact with the Blue Moon Pack, who is supposed to be the neutral party in this entire situation.
Alpha Junmyeon gestures to his Enforcers to open the door for them while he continues to explain, “This door leads straight to the safe chamber in the basement, where our guests are currently staying. For the sake of tonight’s meeting, we have arranged for the basement to be left unused by the pack members. It would give you the privacy that you would need to talk without any intrusions from anyone from the pack. Although, as the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack and the one responsible for the pack’s safety, I would still like to request that I, along with my Beta and Third-in-command, could join this meeting as the mediators and your personal witnesses, as what you are discussing may involve the future of our pack and our treaty.”
Jimin nods, finding no grievance about the Alpha and his ranked wolves being there. “I certainly have no objection to your involvement. This is your home, after all, and we are merely your guests. I would hate to appear as if the Vampires are taking over your territory for the sake of our cause,” he lightly comments before adding, “And also because you seem to know better about whoever it is waiting for me to meet.”
The Alpha laughs while Jimin shows his uncertainty as he thinks about what he might be getting into. “I can assure you that there is no threat waiting for you down there. At least, not from us,” Alpha Junmyeon reassures him as he sees the Vampire’s reaction. “As the one who is providing you space for this audience, I shall instead offer you protection, even if just to make sure that I can send you home safely to my sister-in-mating.”
His statement draws a smile from Jimin. “I’ll hold on to your words then. Lead the way for us, Alpha. Let’s see who our mystery guest is and get this over with,” Jimin says, gesturing towards the door just as one of the Enforcers moves to open them.
The massive door creaks as it opens and the Enforcer steps aside, allowing the group of Vampires and the lone mage to enter first. The entrance foyer is kept dark, while the air inside feels a bit musty compared to the outside, though it grows better as they continue to walk through the area until they reach a long hallway leading to the stairwell that would take them to the lower ground.
Alpha Junmyeon takes the lead with the previous Enforcer to show them the way down, and only then does Jimin finally realises that the other pack members and Enforcers who had been with them had parted ways, presumably to return to each of their own quarters as they are done with their roles for the night.
Unlike the entrance foyer that they had seen earlier, the stairwell doesn’t seem too dark nor cramped, as the entire way down is lighted with small sconces hanging on the walls around them. Once they all reach the basement, Jimin is surprised to find that the open area below is much more spacious than he had previously thought it would be. Though it shouldn’t be much of a surprise knowing that it should hold as many pack members as it could if any danger should ever occur in their territory.
There are a few closed doors in every corner of the room which seem to be leading to more personal spaces. Jimin can only guess that they may be bed chambers for guests or pack members who would need some privacy during their stay here.
Much to his surprise, however, even if the basement area is located deep underground, the air around him feels a lot less musty or damp the way it did when he first entered the building. The cool air seems to flow around him more fluidly, suggesting that there is better ventilation on this level compared to the upper ground.
They continue walking, reaching the far edge of the basement that leads to a long hallway where another set of doors appears right at its end. Alpha Junmyeon turns to Jimin and his brothers, calmly stating, “Here we are,” before he knocks on the door gently to announce his arrival.
The door opens right away, with Hanbin appearing on the other side with a bright smile, already expecting to see his brothers coming. “Ah, you’re finally here. We’ve been anxiously waiting for you.”
Before Jimin could question him more about his comment, Hanbin steps aside and ushers Jimin and the rest of the group to enter the room. Walking past the threshold, Jimin takes his time to look around him and asses his surroundings. Unlike the bare-looking open area of the basement where they had landed from the stairs, this room feels a lot warmer and way more comfortable to settle in.
Instead of a bed chamber, the group finds themselves entering what seems to be a seating lounge. The walls around them are painted in dark grey and navy blue tone of colours. While looking slightly dark, it gives a lot more life into the room compared to the barren space outside, where all Jimin could see was the pale stone walls and bare cemented floors. A plush carpet covers the floor, while a few leather-covered loveseats are placed in various corners of the room, giving it a homey atmosphere that helps calm the unsettling feeling inside Jimin’s chest a little. The sound of the cracking flame from the fireplace draws everyone’s attention, as it sparks together with a subtle flow of a familiar force that sends a deep longing into Jimin’s heart.
As he turns toward the fireplace, two young werewolves step closer, greeting their Alpha first with a respectful bow before turning to Jimin and his group. “Lord Jimin, let me introduce you to my second, Beta Chanyeol,” the Alpha says as the taller one bows towards Jimin, before gesturing to the one standing beside him who is wearing a bright smile on his face. “And this is my Third-in-command, Minseok. I have handed them both the responsibility of accompanying our guests and watching over the pack on my leave, and with your permission, they will act as witnesses for tonight’s meeting.”
Jimin greets them in return, and allows the werewolves to chat with the rest of his group while he turns away, intending to study his surroundings more closely. He notices Hanbin walking closer just then, with his two other brothers walking alongside him. His throat feels constricted as he sees Yunhyeong, looking as if he had just come out of the infirmary, with one of his arms hanging on a sling, though his smile is still as bright as it always has been. Jimin recalls Jinhwan’s story about the attack, how Yunhyeong had taken the hardest blow during the ambush before disappearing in the portal during their dramatic escape. Together with them is Donghyuk, who had left Jinhwan in the hands of the Wiccans in order to find their missing brothers. Since he is here with them, it has appeared that his mission had been a success.
Seeing his brothers all back together gives Jimin a sense of relief. He is overcome with glee to see them all standing there, even if their appearances are filled with fresh scars and wounds.
“So—” he says as they all come to surround him, each one of the brothers holding back as much as they could from getting too emotional that neither of them makes a move for a hug. “Were you the special guests that the Alpha has been talking about?”
Hanbin grins at his brother and shakes his head. “I wish I could say that we were the ones getting all the royal treatment. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Someone else is here to see you. And I bet you’ll be happy to see him too,” he says, as he steps aside, allowing Jimin to get a clear view of the rest of the room.
He turns around to look at the center of the room as Hanbin gestures him to, and sees a round table with a few armchairs that have been strategically placed around it, signifying that this place has normally been used for secret meetings or private dialogues which needs to be done away from the other pack members.
But it is not the round table itself which makes Jimin halt and catches his full attention. It is the male Vampire who is sitting right at the head of the table, silently watching him with a smirk while leaning back in his high-back armchair, as if he has been waiting patiently for Jimin to notice his presence.
In his shock, Jimin’s mind wanders back to a recent event in the past, taking him back to the final moments that he shared with his mentor. Lord Xander’s voice echoes inside his head as he sees the older Vampire flashing through his thoughts, as he is taken back to the moment when the healer Lord was handing him a pair of necklaces before bidding his goodbyes,
“If neither of us could recover in time, or if Death comes to us in our sleep, please make sure to give these to our children. To Laila’s daughter and my son.”
‘My son.'
Jimin blinks away the image from his head, almost unable to believe just what he is seeing. For a moment, he had almost thought that he was seeing Lord Xander sitting there, smiling the same way he would have whenever they would meet. But he quickly snaps out of it, just as the past memory fades away from his thoughts, helping him to realise that the Vampire before him looks a lot younger than his mentor, despite looking almost identical, and with much shorter hair.
Before Jimin can react, the twins beat him to it as they walk around him and rush towards the round table together to greet the familiar face waiting for them.
“Jiwon. Should’ve known that it would be you waiting for us here,” Yongguk comments with a deep chuckle as he slides closer to the Vampire, while the other twin curiously tilts his head. “How did you get here? Why are you hiding in a werewolf pack? Have you been here all this time?”
Jiwon softly chuckles at his cousins, keeping his eyes on Jimin when he gives them an answer, ”It’s quite a long story, actually, and it has something to do with the reason why Hanbin and Yunhyeong had ended up here too.”
Surprised, Jimin immediately turns to glance at his brothers, both of them shrugging their shoulders as if telling him that the Vampire’s words are true.
“Why don’t you take your seats and join me?” Jiwon calls out to the Orphans who are still standing a few feet away from the round table, while the twins had swiftly taken the empty seats right beside him, as if they all belong there. “I bet you boys are tired from the long journey and might be a bit confused. We need some catching up to do anyway. I’m not wrong, am I—Lord Jimin?”

Back at Wolf Moon Pack…
There is something magical about the sunset in the Wolf Moon Pack.
The air cools down the moment the sun begins to descend, while the vibrant colours in the sky seem to blend together like a watercolour painting—iridescent, dazzling, enchanting—as if the space around the pack is coming alive at nightfall. You look up to admire the dark shade spreading in the sky that appears almost purple, while the stars begin to pop out, revealing their beautiful glow one sparkle at a time. As the faint shade of the descending sun fades beneath the foliage across the hill before you, the moonlight above is quick to grab your attention. Its radiating light draws you in, but it is the shade faintly appearing on its edges that has you taking a long, deep breath.
The indistinct shade of red.
Its presence serves as a reminder that time is running out. Ever since it had been determined that the events which had been happening for the past few years—the rebellion rising within the Vampires clan and the coup which occurred in your home pack—have a silver lining, that someone—or perhaps, quite undoubtedly, an entire group of them—is intending to give rise to the Blood War, bringing back the nightmare that had haunted the entire continent for centuries, it has marked the rise of the blood moon as your time limit.
There seems to be a clear reason why that specific night has always been chosen for the rise of chaos and why it was possible for the Dark Alliance to unite their powers to take over the continent. And now that it is evident just how close it is already to the night of the blood moon rising, you cannot help but feel as if you are being pushed into a corner, with limited options to choose on how to stop the war from happening.
But will it be possible for any of us to stop it at all?
“It’s a marvellous view from here, isn’t it?”
You turn away from the window just as Mage Kim enters the room. Her arrival snaps you out of your daze, plummeting you back into reality where you are standing in her quaint kitchen, with bright lights illuminating the room in contrast to the dusky sunset out in the woods.
The pretty mage moves with a gentle flow around the counter, carrying a basket full of fresh vegetables in one hand and an old spell book in the other, which she then places on top of the marble top counter with such ease and grace before turning to you once again to speak, “I always enjoy watching the sunset from that very same window myself after a long busy day of work, though it seems to me that it’s not giving you the same calming effect as it does to me.”
Puzzled by her words, you tilt your head, trying to understand what she is trying to say. Seeing this, Mage Kim giggles a little before tilting her chin towards your hands. “Seeing the way you are clutching that mug so tightly, I can only guess that your mind is not as calm as it looks.”
Raising your eyebrows, you follow her gaze and look down at your hands. Sure enough, you find that not only you are clutching the mug in your hand just as tightly as the way she described it, but your claws have also come out, making their appearance and almost digging into the sides of the mug. Hairline cracks are beginning to materialize on what was supposed to be a flawless-looking mug before the tip of your claws made contact with it.
With a gasp, you quickly retract your claws and loosen up your grip on the mug, before gently placing it on top of the kitchen counter.
“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ruin your mug,” you start to apologise, while the mage only waves her hand at you and laughs.
“Oh, don’t worry about that old thing. I’ve had that mug for as long as I can remember, so it’s due time for it to crack anyway. I’ve gained plenty of new ones since I moved here so I won’t miss it too much,” she calmly says to you with a smile.
“Still—” you murmur, still unable to look away from the damage that you have done. For any mortal eyes, those tiny cracks may not be visible. But it is quite different when you are looking at it with your eyes. “I guess I got lost and carried away with my thoughts there for a moment. But I did enjoy the tea you made. I promise.”
Mage Kim grins at you as she takes the abused mug out of your sight. “That’s a relief. At least I know that I didn’t really leave you completely idle,” she says, as she continues to unpack the vegetables that she had carried with her while chatting.
“I’m sorry for stepping out while we were having a chat. Yvonne is one of the pack’s elders who had just lost her mate last summer. They’ve been together for 70 years, so it was really hard for her to adjust to living on her own with her kids all spread in different packs. I’ve been helping her deal with her grief, and she would often stop by like this to say hello and chat, and sometimes vent when she has some troubles at home,” she says, not even pausing as she puts some of the fresh goods away and setting aside a couple of them to use later, while you can only watch her closely, admiring how every single thing that she does seems to captivate you.
Even the way she moves enchants you. Sometimes she would appear as if she is gliding above the ground when she walks, while sometimes her moves remind you of flowing water. There is also a familiar sense radiating from her, reminding you of something that you had encountered before even though it is hard for you to point a finger at what it truly was.
“These are all from her, by the way,” she continues to say, waving at the vegetables that she had set up on the counter. “She always leaves a whole basket of fresh produce whenever she comes to visit, as a token of gratitude each time I would spare my time to see her, mostly everything that she had grown and harvested herself from her little garden.”
“That’s so thoughtful of her,” you muse softly, drawing another smile from the mage. “I’m guessing that happens often? Do the other pack members give you offerings like this whenever you help them?”
Mage Kim shrugs as she turns to wash the goods in her sink, refusing your help when you offer, simply telling you to take a seat instead, to which you comply easily just to get out of her way. “I never asked them to, but they always come to drop things in exchange for our help. My mate and I simply try to help out as much as we can for the pack since they have been so welcoming of us since the day we arrived. I figured it was a fair trade, we give and take, and help each other the best we can for the good of the pack.”
For the good of the pack.
It was the same teaching that your father had imprinted in you ever since you were just a pup, growing up under his and your mother’s care. The same teaching that has been passed on within the pack through each generation, shared among the pack members for many years to form a tight bond under your father’s lead. It pains you to think that the very same pack has now been split apart, all because of the coup that began from your sister’s treason.
Pain twists inside your chest when you think about your pack’s fate, and you turn to look at your surroundings just to distract yourself from your own thoughts. It was late in the afternoon when you came to pay the mage a visit, done under Taehyung’s mother’s advice. It wasn’t much of a surprise to find that both the mage and her beta mate had chosen to live in a quiet and secluded area away from the heart of the pack, but it was still a pleasant surprise when you finally found the quaint cottage that they have both been living in. Located on the top of the hill, the cottage has the perfect view of its surroundings—the serene forest, the green hills, and even the riverbed which leads to a nearby waterfall—while it remains a walking distance towards the packhouse, allowing the Beta to travel back and forth so easily each day when he is needed for his duty.
“This is quite a nice place to live, far from the hectic life you would normally find at the heart of the pack. How did you manage to find this cottage?” you find yourself asking the mage when she returns to your side, and you can faintly feel her pride radiating from within her.
“We didn’t. My mate, Seokjin, built this cottage with his own two hands, right after the Alpha gave us this piece of land to work with. We had requested a place where we could find some peace and quiet, to have something different than our daily life, which is almost never peaceful,” the mage answers as she pours some more tea into two different mugs, replacing the one that you had almost ruined and the one that she had left behind in the sink on her rush to see the pack member that had come earlier.
The mage continues her story while sipping on her tea. Her eyes glow fondly as she appears to reminisce about her past. “My mate, Seokjin, wanted to create a place that resembles our old home. Years ago, he and I met during the winter when I was a trainee witch. I was staying in an old cottage that used to belong to one of the mentors in the coven that I was raised in when he came at my door.”
She stops with a giggle, before continuing to tell her story, how she found a sleeping bear on her porch one day, then about the days she spent with that bear before he finally revealed himself in his human form. Mage Kim then tells you a bit more about Beta Seokjin’s past, the history that you had once heard partially from your father but never in full form. You have known before that the beta had once gone feral after losing his home pack and his family during the Rogue War, but you had never heard the story of how he managed to find his way to join the Wolf Moon Pack with his mate until now, as Mage Kim tells you almost in detail of the events that had led them both to this place.
“That old cabin held so many good memories, but what we shared while living there for that short period of time was so precious for both of us that the moment we were given a chance to build something new and create new memories, Seokjin insisted to recreate that same cabin here. Which, as you can see, turned out to be this pretty little cottage that we call home.”
As you look around you, a sight that comes to mind is not an old cabin that would have resembled this one, but another that had been buried deep in your memories. Located deep in the Blue Moon pack’s territory, the old cottage that was built by Jongin’s own two hands, was the home that had held a lot of golden memories of your own with your deceased mate. In the past, your chest would have burned with so much pain whenever you are reminded of those old days, when you pictured the life you had then only to be reminded of Jongin’s passing and how much it had hurt you.
Now, however, the longing that you are feeling for those missing days is accompanied by another kind of yearning. You begin to wonder if you would be able to build a new memory with your second chance mate. Would it be possible for you and Jimin to build your own home, away from the tumultuous lives of an Alpha and a Vampire Lord?
Snapping out of it, you turn to focus on Mage Kim’s gentle voice as she continues talking.
“We would still return to that old cottage in the winter, whenever Alpha Namjoon grants us a break during the cold season and gives permission for us to leave the pack for a while. He knows that my mate still finds the need to hibernate, though it hasn’t been quite as demanding as it was before when his beast counterpart was still dominating him, and it’s always been hard to hibernate completely if we remain in this place throughout the winter. My mate can be extremely grouchy when he doesn’t get the long rest that his bear needs,” she adds with a giggle. “Alpha Namjoon also understands how much Seokjin would have to hold back when he is working alongside him, so he does give us some flexibility to travel and get away whenever we need to.”
Knowing the roles that Beta Seokjin and his mate had to take upon joining the pack, and the sacrifices that had no doubt taken place, you understand why Alpha Namjoon would give them so much freedom. But thinking about two Alphas leading the pack together, with Beta Seokjin stepping back to be the second-in-command, has left you wondering about the pack’s dynamic. Especially now that you have found out that the beta is mated to a white witch, someone who would have been seen as the enemy by the pack had it been under normal circumstances.
“Speaking of which—Mage Kim?” you begin to question her when your curiosity grows stronger. “How are you adjusting to living in a pack, and as a shifter’s mate? I’m sorry, I just can’t help but wonder. It’s not often that a shifter and a mage, someone who has the ability to master witchcraft, would cross paths, much less turn out as mates. I’m sure it wasn’t quite easy.”
“Please, call me Aurora,” she says in return, smiling shyly when she sees you raising your brows. “That’s the name that was given to me at birth. I don’t normally use my given name, for personal reasons, which is why I have requested the Alpha to have the pack call me under the name ‘Mage Kim’, as I have taken my mate’s given name as mine and it would make it easier for me to remain anonymous to any outsider.”
You simply nod, trying to understand even if you have yet to know the full story behind her reasons. A million different questions appear in your head, as you are reminded of the first time you heard Taehyung mentioning Mage Kim when you met him, but you keep your curiosity to yourself as Aurora continues with, “But I do feel like it would be better for anyone who I am personally close with to call me by my real name. Of course, I would appreciate it if you would only call me by my given name when we’re alone.”
“Of course, Mage Kim. I mean, Aurora,” you answer her with a smile, which she returns with a grateful nod.
“To answer your question, it did take quite a while for me to get used to living in a pack of shifters. Before meeting my mate, I had never once encountered any shifter, nor had I ever truly learned a thing about them. I’ve learned so much since then, and then a lot more ever since I joined this pack,” she explains with a soft chuckle. “I’m quite grateful that they welcomed me with open arms. I also had my mentor by my side during the first couple of years I began living here, since it was his place that I was taking over when I first arrived, so that was a huge help as well.”
“How about your mate?” you ask her, when you recall the authority of an Alpha radiating from the werebear when you first met him. “I imagine it wouldn’t have been easy for an Alpha to submit under another leader when he came in.”
Shaking her head, Aurora sighs a little. “Oh, it sure wasn’t. Didn’t help the fact that my mate is quite a hot-headed shifter. Even without his Alpha blood running in his veins, he has already been quite stubborn to deal with,” she says while rolling her eyes, though there is still a sense of fondness and admiration as she talks about Beta Seokjin. “He does have a huge respect for Alpha Namjoon, however, since the Alpha is wise and honourable as a leader. I think sometimes my mate would try to start something with the Alpha just for the fun of it, not because he is trying to challenge Alpha Namjoon’s authority.”
Laughing, you imagine the Alpha and Beta going at each other when they are together. Just like how you had seen them arguing in your vision. “I’m going to guess that there’s been a lot of ‘friendly’ banter between the two over the years?”
Aurora shakes her head again while laughing. “It never stops. And I think Alpha Namjoon enjoys it when my mate would challenge him into some kind of an argument or debate or when he tries to turn the Alpha’s own words against him. He always seems more—alive, when he is with Seokjin,” Aurora carefully says, before she looks at you with deep caution in her eyes and adds, “I’m sure you know what the Alpha is currently dealing with.”
Biting your lips, you briefly nod, knowing what she is insinuating. “Yes, I know very well. I was once in his shoes, quite a few years ago.”
Aurora releases a deep sigh. “That is probably why I was sent here by fate, and why my mate was needed here in this pack. At first, we were merely searching for a way to give my mate a sense of order, for him to be a part of a community once again to give him everything that he had once lost. But then we both realised that we were able to give something more to help the Alpha and his pack,” she begins to speak with a soft voice, as if she feels like someone would be able to listen to her words as she talks about Alpha Namjoon and her mate’s personal business. “My healing powers may not be on par with the best mages in the continent, but I do my best to support the Alpha, and help him through his struggles so he could still do his duty and keep the order in the pack. Meanwhile, my mate would have enough authority to give the Alpha his sound voice and support whenever he is needed, or to take his place when the Alpha is absent.”
“The Mating Sickness—” you start to ask, “How far worse has it been since—”
“I’m afraid I cannot say,” Aurora claims while shaking her head slowly, a hint of sadness appearing in her gaze as she thinks about the Alpha. “But as someone who once battled with the same sickness, I’m sure you know what would happen if he keeps on going like this for a longer period of time. He has been going strong for long enough. But even the strongest being in the realm would still have their limitations.” Aurora looks up, staring deeply into your eyes as she adds, “For Alpha Namjoon, he might as well have gone past that limit quite a long time ago.”
A deep concern flows right through you after what Aurora had just told you. As someone who had once experienced the same sickness and knows damn well what the sickness could do to a shifter, you can imagine the struggles that Alpha Namjoon has to face.
You have met Alpha Namjoon a few times and spent time with him during your stay in the Wolf Moon Pack, and never once had you ever caught any signs of him struggling. Deep down, you cannot help but admire his tenacity, while at the same time, you also know that he would have to endure as much pain as the power that he has to use to hide his suffering, and it worries you even more to think that he had been fighting for so long.
“How are you feeling now, by the way? Does your chest still feel tight? Is it easier to breathe?” Aurora suddenly asks you, and for a brief moment, you have no clue what she is talking about that you instantly fall silent, until you finally remember the reason why you came to visit her this afternoon.
Your heartburn.
Ever since early this morning, you have been getting a series of heartburn bothering you. It started with your heartbeat which continued rising so rapidly, followed by the tightness in your chest that caused you to have trouble breathing. You immediately suspected that Jimin may have been the cause when your mating mark started pulsing, though you had no idea if the pain you felt simply came to you because of the distance and for being so far away from your mate, or if something else was causing it. That it had been a sign that your mate was in terrible danger.
After consulting with Taehyung and his mother, they advised you to see Mage Kim to find answers, which became the reason why you are here, sitting in her kitchen while sharing deep thoughts and stories with a few cups of hot tea.
Immediately, you lean back and start to gently rub your chest, right where you had been feeling pain. You quickly realise that the only thing you can feel now is warmth, while the tightness that had been bothering you is long gone. “Oh! That’s interesting. I didn’t notice it while we were chatting, but it does feel better. Are you telling me that all I had to do was drink warm tea?”
Aurora laughs, looking relieved and amused at the same time. “I wish it was that simple. The tea only helped ease your muscles and calm your nerves. I put a few drops of my remedy in your cup of tea and the snacks I gave you earlier, then I added a calming potion into that one,” she says, pointing at the mug you are still holding. “That’s what did the job.”
Surprised, and absolutely amused, you can only shake your head in wonder. “I guess they weren’t kidding when they said that you give the best remedies. I suppose the wonderful chat we had also helped put my mind at ease that I almost forgot what I was supposed to be doing here.”
Aurora looks out the window from over your shoulder just then, and her eyes immediately widen. “We’ve been talking for so long that I didn’t even notice how much time has passed. I haven’t even started making dinner.”
Turning away from her, you follow her gaze to look out the window, noticing how dark it had gotten out there. “Oh, right. It’s already dinnertime. I’m sorry for taking so much of your time,” you say to her, feeling remorseful for getting lost in the moment. But right as you turn to her and before you even begin to take your leave, the mage stops you right away.
“Surely you can stay for a while longer, can’t you? Seokjin isn’t going to return for dinner tonight, as he is still busy attending Alpha Namjoon’s business at the pack house. He’s probably already combing through the buffet dinner by now. Tammy, the pack’s senior cook, makes excellent meat pies, and he would often go mad for it whenever he is eating with the other pack members.”
“Well—I’m not exactly in a rush to go,” you tell her, which is not entirely a lie.
Ever since you came to the pack, you had spent most of your time staying close to your parents. Oftentimes, Taehyung would have to send either his mother or his mate to drag you away, forcing you to join them during mealtime just so you could get a little break from watching over your parents who remain unconscious. You have no doubt that the moment you return to Taehyung’s property, his family would have you joining them again. While you are grateful for their care, it doesn’t stop you from feeling as if you are intruding on their personal space too much, and you feel guilty about it when they have already done so much to help you and your family.
Besides, you also have another purpose to stay with Mage Kim tonight, and you refuse to leave until you have what you needed.
“On that note, I should probably start making dinner,” Aurora says, turning away to pull out a couple of containers from the freezer standing behind her. She sets them all up on the counter, opening them to reveal the frozen meat contained inside, nearly causing you to drool. “How do you like your meat, Alpha? Medium, or well done? Or perhaps, rare? I know that shifters can have different tastes in the way they enjoy their meal.”
“Medium rare, leaning more towards rare, if that’s not too much of a trouble,” you answer her while holding back from licking your lips. Though you can barely restrain your wolf’s hunger when she softly growls inside your head, drawn completely to the sight of the uncooked meat. “It’s the only way it would be fair for me and my wolf. Obviously, she would prefer her meat raw. But when I’m in my human form, I do enjoy a bit of a roast on my meat for a taste.”
“Understandable. That’s actually how my mate would love his dinner too,” Aurora says, nodding. “Of course, the bear inside him would always fight him over it, as the beast prefers the meat all fresh and bloody. But Seokjin could no longer stomach it ever since he started staying in his human form longer. He always says that fresh meat reminds him of the dark days that he spent as a feral.”
Nodding your head absently, you try to recall a little bit more of what you had once heard about Beta Seokjin. You had never once met any shifter who had gone feral for a long time and managed to regain their sanity to be able to return to society and to hold a highly regarded rank the way Beta Seokjin did, so his story had always intrigued you ever since you first heard of him from your father in the past. You had once wondered if he would still lose control even once he had returned to live and function in his human form, or if he had given up the option to shift at all.
A shudder runs through your body as you imagine yourself living without ever getting a chance to shift right back into your wolf form. The feeling of entrapment suddenly overcomes you, as you have always felt so free and alive whenever you are running in your other form.
“But he still hunts regularly while he is running in his beast form, right?” you question the mage as the thought comes into your mind. “I always give my wolf free reign when I need to go out on my regular run, and she always takes the chance to hunt and eat her game all fresh and bloody when she is in control.”
“Oh, obviously,” Aurora answers with a playful scoff. “He still runs in his bear form, though he rarely does it alone. He would do it either when the pack is doing their regular run together, or he would have one or two Enforcers running with him to keep an eye on him. It’s not that he would lose total control when he shifts, it’s just that the bear would take any given chance to take over his body and he would sometimes run free and wild without care. It’s usually during that time when the bear would find a fresh hunt for himself and enjoy his rare, and extremely bloody, meat.”
“Beta Jin would always argue with the bear about it when that happens, I’m guessing?”
She laughs, knowing that her mate would do such a thing just for the sake of it. “Every single time.”
Tumblr media
As Aurora prepares for dinner, you can no longer sit down and do nothing, so you give her no choice but to let you help her through it. Soon enough, you are sitting with the kindhearted mage on her dining table, which is small and comfortable enough for two people, though you still find it hard to imagine Beta Seokjin sitting around it in his bear form. Which, according to Aurora, is something that often happens when the Beta is too exhausted to fight against his bear who always wants to show himself in front of his mate.
“He used to do that in our old home, watch over me while I was cooking our meal or when I was messing around with my potions, filling the room with his massive body. I suppose it became a bit of a habit for him that he still can’t let it go once we’re living here, so I’d just let him instead of arguing about it. No matter how stubborn Seokjin can be, his bear is much worse,” Aurora tells you with a soft chuckle. “Seeing him trying to fit into this tiny space is pretty adorable too, especially when he’s sitting with his legs out like a giant teddy bear.”
Seeing that you have only ever met Beta Seokjin while he is being formal and serious in your previous encounters, imagining him being the cute teddy bear that Aurora is describing him draws a smile to your face. “Forgive me, but it is really hard for me to picture the Beta acting in such a way,” you comment with a laugh. “Although, if I have to compare him with Taehyung, then I guess they’re both aren’t so different, after all, if they can truly act differently when they are in their personal space and with their loved ones and just be themselves.”
Right the moment you say this, your mind wanders to Jimin. Finding a mate is always a blessing for a shifter, and you had been given the gift of finding your second chance mate. Despite feeling blessed and grateful, you resent the fact that it had to happen during the circumstances that you are in, where you are unable to enjoy your first moments with your mate the way Aurora and Beta Jin or how Taehyung and his mate, Rhea, could. You barely had enough time to be with each other before you had to part ways, all because you both had to meet on the rise of an incoming war.
Suddenly feeling envious and disturbed after listening to Aurora’s story, you lean back in your seat to try and distract yourself from your own thoughts. That is when your eyes fall onto the old spell book that has been left right on the corner of the dining table. You remember seeing her carrying it with her all the time, and then you saw it again earlier when she came back from tending to a pack member, but you never had any clear view of it until now.
“This book seems pretty old. It looks like it’s falling apart,” you comment as you lean to look closer. For some odd reason, the spell book seems to draw you in, though seeing its dire state, you hold back from reaching out to touch it.
“That’s because that book has been around for ages,” she comments while laughing. “I’m trying my best to keep it as it was. I’ve had the book since I was little. My mother—the woman who raised me—gave it to me. That’s the only thing that was once hers that I still have left.”
“A.C.,” you murmur softly, reading the initials that have been engraved so clearly on its leather cover. The writings around it seem to be fading, yet the initials are still quite easy to read.
“That’s my mother’s initials. She carved it on the cover because she kept losing her books as a child. She told me once how the other kids who grew up with her knew that she was different, and had constantly tried to cause trouble or get her into trouble in the coven. That includes stealing and hiding her book of spells and grimoires right before her rituals,” Aurora explains, looking down at the book cover with a deep longing in her eyes.
“Her name was Agatha. Agatha Carro. That’s where A.C. came from. She was a healer and a clairvoyant, just like me, though the magic and the blood that ran through her had come from black magic, as we were both born and raised in a Dark Coven.”
Agatha. The name rings inside your head, and you are immediately reminded of the Wiccan. Could it be—
“But let’s not go there. I’m pretty sure that my story isn’t what you needed to hear,” she suddenly says, waving you off before your mind could go any further. She leaves her seat to pick up the steaming teapot and begins to refill the empty mugs on the table with fresh tea before returning to her seat. “At least, I know that it’s not the reason why you came to visit tonight and why you had kept me company for hours. I know that you didn’t come here just for an idle chat or to simply cure your heartburn, even if I haven’t heard you complaining about me keeping you here.”
“Nothing about our conversation was idle. If any, it had been quite—enlightening,” you reassure her while picking up your mug of hot tea. You can smell the scent of fresh herbs through its steam, letting you know that she had once again added the same remedy as the one she had given you earlier.
“I was told that you are the one working on the remedy for my parents. I just—I don’t know, I just figured it would only be right if I paid a visit, to say thank you and see how it’s going, or if you have any trouble with it at all,” you finally admit to her. “It was by chance that I was having trouble breathing and experiencing heartburn at the same time, so I had a good reason to ask Taehyung to show me the way to your home.”
Aurora simply smiles at you. “Coincidences often happen for a reason created by Fate. Yes, I have been working on the remedy ever since Beta Taehyung and his mother reached out to me,” she says, gesturing to the sunroom at the back of the cottage that is visible from the dining room. Seeing the altar and the wooden cabinet filled with glass jars containing various herbs standing in its corner, you safely assume that she is using the sunroom as her little workshop where she is making her remedies. “I took a sample of your father’s blood and the antidote that was said to have been given by your mate. Alpha Namjoon said that your mate had also been poisoned and you believed that it might have been the same one that was used to harm your parents.”
Nodding, you tell her everything that Jimin had told you about what the poison had done to his body. “It had similar symptoms to what my mate had said to have happened to him. Taehyung’s mother told me that if it wasn’t for the fact that my parents had the Alpha blood inside them, then they would have—” you stop talking when your throat feels tight. The thought of losing your parents had been haunting you for quite a long time, and you refuse to let it enter your mind again now that you are starting to feel a glimmer of hope. “Did it work? Did you manage to find a way to use that antidote for them? I know that we couldn’t use them directly since the original antidote was created for Vampires.”
Aurora shakes her head. “No, we couldn’t use it. Even if we had, there is no doubt it would only harm your parents more. It seems that the poison that was used on your mate was also slightly different, as we found a hint of wolfsbane added into it through your parents’ blood.”
This new fact makes you frown. “Are you saying that the poison may be the same, but they had deliberately altered it to weaken werewolves?”
“That seems to be the case, yes,” Aurora hums softly as she deeply considers this thought. “Not to worry, though. We are close to finishing the remedy. I’ll spend the whole night working on it and making sure that it will actually work. Just like you said earlier, we’re in the race against time, so I’ll personally make sure that it would be ready before sunrise.”
Tumblr media
As the night continues, it turns out that there is no need for you to wait until sunrise comes to have the remedy that you needed. Right after you finish dinner, Aurora simply decides to get right back to work to finish creating the perfect potion that would help heal your parents.
She welcomes you to join her in the sunroom, where the area is filled with her little trinkets, illuminated with nothing but candles, while the scent of herbs and potions keeps flowing in the air around you. You watch her in awe as she gets to work, as she pulls out the samples of blood and altered antidote that she has been working with to create new samples in smaller vials. You even lend a hand when she needs to crush a few different herbs to mix with each sample, until she finally manages to find the perfect mix to eliminate the toxin and the remaining poison from the blood samples. She even uses a hint of her magic to amplify the remedy once she is done, and for once, the sight of the magic practice doesn’t leave a bad taste or an eerie feeling inside you, knowing that the spells she uses—enchanted from the pages within the old spell book—is only done with good intentions.
Hours before midnight arrives, the mage already has a few portions of the remedy that you had needed from her.
“You are truly amazing,” you muse with wonder as you hold the vials filled with the freshly blended remedy that may help heal your parents. “Thank you so much for this.”
True to her humble character, Aurora only waves her hand at you. “Don’t thank me yet. We’ll see if it’ll work to help your parents gain their strength back and for them to finally recover. It’s going to be a rough process of healing after dealing with such a strong poison, and this will only be the beginning of that healing process. I’ll be here to ask for help from the ancestors to lend their strength. Perhaps I can also find more answers by convening a seance to communicate with them directly to ask for their guidance.”
“Ah, that’s right. You told me earlier that aside from being a healer, you are also a clairvoyant,” you say to her, recalling what she had shared and what Taehyung had once told you.
“That is true,” Aurora says, giving you a shy smile. “My mother was a gifted one with that skill, and she had passed on her gift to me.”
Once again, Agatha’s face comes flashing into your thoughts. “I’ve met another clairvoyant, a Wiccan, on my journey here. She showed me a glimpse of the past. She started with the events that happened years ago regarding my sister, long before her rebellion came to rise, to show me what may have triggered her to finally take action to turn the pack against me and our parents,” you carefully tell her, refraining from saying more about seeing Alpha Namjoon and Beta Jin in that same vision. “Then I was also given the chance to see another Vision, left behind by my mate’s mentor and guardian, which we had managed to unlock with the help of the Wiccan. This one took me back long enough to witness the Ancient war, the Blood War, and to see for myself everything that had actually happened during that time.”
Aurora’s eyes grow wide upon hearing this. You haven’t exactly shared this with anyone else but the Alpha, but knowing that she may have the same ability and more knowledge about this gift, you had figured that perhaps you can find some answers from her.
“Have you ever—” you start by asking. “Since my arrival in this pack wasn’t so much of a surprise to you, have you ever envisioned me coming here for help or have you ever seen any signs about the war coming back?”
Aurora looks a bit unsure for a moment before she finally nods. “The spirits spoke to me during one of my seances. They had given me a warning that something is going to happen in the near future. Something so big that would alter the entire lives of everyone living within this realm, and that I would know when the time will come. The messages they sent me had foreseen a part of a distant past that was coming back to the present, that a cycle of events will take place as soon as the pieces that were linked into that past are reconnected,” she says, recalling everything that she had known. “The moment you arrived at the pack, bearing the mark that was given by your mate, I knew that it had begun.”
A sigh slips right through you just as the dreadful feeling that you felt before returns, the unsettling sensation that always takes over when you recall the sight of the Blood War. “The vision had told me something similar. Through the vision that I entered, I was able to understand everything, to know all about the pieces of the past that had caused the war and the possibility of them coming back in the present and reconnecting—”
As you begin to talk about it, the memory of the vision returns to you. They come flashing into your thoughts like a set of moving pictures. The pale Vampires that reeked of blood, the young and mighty Vampires riding the flying dragons, the army of Rogues and Halflings rushing down the mountains before colliding with an army of Werewolves and Lycans in an intense battle, and the deep, bloody red sky above.
“A vision that was left behind by someone who no longer exists in the upper world,” Aurora suddenly murmurs while looking like she is a deep thought. “This Wiccan that you met must have been quite powerful to be able to assist you with one.”
You tilt your head, suddenly feeling curious. “Are you not capable of doing the same?”
Aurora gives you a sad smile. “Not quite yet. I haven’t had that much experience with it to try it with another person, but I have been training myself to create a Vision for myself so I could go back into the past and look into some of the Elders’ memories,” she says as she looks up at you. “Is that what you needed help with? Do you have another vision that you would like to visit?”
You quickly shake your head. “No, not quite. I’m not sure, really. I’m just still quite at a loss, I guess,” you answer her with a defeated sigh. “It’s just—there are so many things that are still bothering me. How much do you know about the Ancient Blood War?”
At the mention of the Blood War, Aurora’s face immediately turns grim, and the unsettling shudder begins to run down your spine even before you hear her answer. “Enough to know that if it should occur once more in the present, the entire realm would succumb to darkness, because the forces that had once stopped the War may no longer exist.”

Destino? Estava predestinado aquilo? Talvez sim, mas sinceramente, não reclamava.

Not Good Enough
Tumblr media
- Gif credit goes to owner/creator
- Angst
---
The busy streets of Seoul buzzed around me, the sound of car horns and shop owners yelling at rowdy kids filled the air. Normally the walk to the YG building wouldn’t have me a nervous mess,  but recently Seunghyun and I came out as a couple after a year and half. Fans didn't respond well to it, or me, for that matter. The threats and nasty comments that swarmed my social media accounts were insane.
I pulled my hood closer to my face feeling stupid for forgetting my mask, the toe of my Nike shoe tapped the gum covered  pavement again as I waited for the signal to cross the road. The big white building so close, I could almost hear the rowdy bunch of boys who go by BigBang.
“ Thank god.” I sighed as the white walking figure appeared,I quickly got across the road picking up my pace, a little faster then a walk.  As I took another step I faltered a little, my shoulder slamming into another girl.
I snapped my head up a string of apologies falling from my lips, “  Are you okay?” I asked not noticing my hood falling off my head.
The girl nodded , “ I’m fine.”
I nodded walking away reaching to adjust my hood panic hitting me when I didn't feel it, goosebumps rasing on my skin when my name was shouted, footsteps getting closer and closer to me.
One of the girls caught up to me, a shove placed on my shoulders, “ No, please leave me alone !” I cried crashing down to the sidewalk, the rough pavement stinging my palms and knees. Feet and fists pounded my back and ribs.  “ Stupid bitch you don’t deserve Oppa!” I took a deep breath bringing my legs under me launching myself off the ground, my feet carrying me into a run.
I cringed as I ran,  my body on fire, “ Damn it all.” I groaned holding my torso.
One block, two blocks I hit the YG steps punched in the code and flew into the building, falling on to the lobby floor startling the guard on duty.
I fell onto my elbows crying, Seunghyun is going to be furious.
“ Y/N?”
I sat up slowly my eyes meet Jiyong’s,  “ What the hell happened to you?” He rushed over to helping me up, his eyes scanning my body. “ Let's take you to hyung.”
“ It was-.”
He held is hand up shaking his head, “ I can tell what happened.”
I whimpered as he wrapped his arm around me, “ He is gonna kill me for not having my mask.”
A quick trip down the hall and up an elevator that stopped in front of a room. Jiyong lead me into the room stopping me just on the other side of  the door way. Seunghyun picked his head up sitting there for a second the sniffle of my nose making him turn his computer chair around.
“ What the hell!”  He jumped out his chair landing on his knees in front of me, “ Jagiya.” His fingers ran over my scraped knees. “Where else?”
I held up my shaky hands showing him my palms, “ They were also punching and kicking me,”
“ How many of them were there?!” He yelled pointing at my body
“ Two.”
Seunghyun stood up pushing my hoodie and shirt up, displeasure painted his face. “ Let’s go report this and then we are go get those ribs looked at.”
I sobbed grabbing his arm, “ It’s all my fault, I forgot my mask this morning then I wasn’t watching where I was going and bumped into a couple girls causing my hood to fall. I just need to be more careful.”
He took a step back shaking his head, “ Do not say that again, ever.”  He stepped forward again pulling my body to his. “ Never again.”

Homemade Monsters
Night 2 of the 13 Nights of Kpop
Pairing: BigBang x You
Genre: Angst, Horror, Mad Scientist!AU
Word Count: 6.5k
Warnings: Mild Language, ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING⚠️
Summary: You’re invited to a top secret facility to assist on a top secret project. What you weren’t expecting was the dark secret beneath the seemingly harmless facade. Now you’ll have to take down the very thing you unwittingly helped create.
Video: Monster
Tumblr media
This was the best thing to happen to you since you got rid of that mullet from middle school. Being accepted to work at MADE Industries had been a turning point for your career. Even more so when they specifically requested you to join their secret program in Russia. You were more than happy to uproot your life and disappear into the snowy plains of Siberia.
And snowy it was. The amount of snowfall you had seen just on the plane ride was nothing compared to when you were driving to the facility. All around you was nothing but mountains and mountains of snow, like some desolate winter wonderland.
Eventually the facility came into view. It looked more like a prison than a science facility, but you kept that little tidbit to yourself. Once you were in what you assumed was the front, two giant metal doors parted to allow you in. Slowly the truck inched in, plowing its way through the snow. You hopped out of the truck and were greeted by another scientist in a big winter coat.
“Greetings!” he called, bowing his head. You returned the gesture, a big smile on your face. “We’re happy to have you join us. Please, follow me inside to somewhere warm.” You nodded as he led you across the courtyard and into a giant metal door. It rose to the ceiling, revealing a dark hallway. Other scientists moved around the hallway, wheeling medical carts with strange liquids and other medical tools.
“I’m happy to be here,” you said. “I’m Dr. L/N, but please call me Y/N.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you in person Dr. L/N. I’m Dr. Min. I’m the lead scientist on this program. Your profile was quite impressive,” he said, shaking your hand. You bowed your head. “I know you’re probably wondering what exactly we’re doing. While I can’t give you every detail yet, I can give you a bit more information.” You nodded eagerly, following him as he moved down the hallway.
“Here we are studying the evolution of mutated cells from humans. These mutations are… rather unique, but pushing towards evolution is part of the next phase in human life. Soon, modern homo sapiens will be considered the neanderthals. We’ve been working on this for some time now, and our research and tests have shown great improvement, but we’ve been missing something.”
“What?” you asked, figuratively leaning on the edge of your seat. Dr. Min let out a sigh, shaking his head.
“I’m not quite sure, but that’s why we brought you here. We’re hoping a fresh pair of eyes will bring some light onto what we’re missing,” he said. You nodded, pulling your mouth into a thin line. He stopped in front of a door, glancing down at his watch.
“Oh would you look at the time. So real quick, this is your room. Everyone lives within the facility so we’re all close to our work. You’ll spend the next couple of days getting used to everything and letting your internal clock get used to the time difference. Most rooms are open except for the other bedrooms, so feel free to roam around. Just be careful. Have a good night.” You nodded, turning to open the door.
“Run.”
“I’m sorry?” you said, turning around. Dr. Min glanced back. “Did you say something?”
“No, I don’t think so,” he said. You frowned slightly.
“Must be jet lag,” you said, brushing it off. He nodded before disappearing down another hallway.
Your room wasn’t anything fancy and nothing like you had back home. It was a simple set up. There was a bed, a dresser, a desk, and a bulletin board that stretched the entire length of one of the walls. They must think you won’t be getting a lot of sleep. The joke was on them, if sleep was a major, you’d have seven doctorates.
You set your bag down on the desk, moving to flop down on the bed. You don’t really feel tired, if anything you feel kind of hot. You sit up to shrug off your coats, relishing in being free from all the sweat that was starting to form. You move off the bed, grabbing a light jacket to wrap around yourself.
Dr. Min had said you could explore and if you were going to get used to the facility, you had to get familiar. There was nothing wrong with getting a head start. That’s what you told yourself anyway as you began to explore where you would be staying for who knew how long.
The building didn’t seem like such a bad place. All it really needed was a good paint job. The other scientists seemed really friendly as well. You met a rather nice scientist, Dr. Kim. He was a little stereotypical, but he was kind and cute. He gave you a brief rundown on how most days there went and who to be careful around.
You found that the further you went from your room, the less people you saw and the more creepy the hallways seemed to be. Stray cables hung from the ceiling, occasionally glitching with electricity. Lights flickered above you, giving off a low hum. Something seemed to be creaking, but there weren’t any doors.
Except for one.
At the end of the hallway was a single, metal door. It couldn’t have been a laboratory, you had passed all of those on your way here. The closer you drew to the door, the colder it seemed to be. This certainly wasn’t the door you had come in. There had been tons of people where you entered and this continued on through the building. Your pace slowed significantly the closer you came. You were barely walking by the time you reached the door.
You timidly brought a hand up to place it against the door. The metal was cold under your hand, yet it was burning hot. Or maybe it was so hot it was cold. Your breath froze in front of you as you stared transfixed on the door.
“Run away.”
You whipped your head around, but there was no one near you. You were completely alone in the hallway. That was the second time you’d heard that voice. It was deep and gravely. Something about its warning chilled you to your core.
You took a couple small steps away from the door before walking as fast as you could without sprinting all the way back to your room. You quickly shut and locked the door, leaning back against it. You hadn’t realized how fast your heart was beating until your legs almost gave out beneath you.
What was that voice? Why was it telling you to run? Was it a threat? Or a warning? These questions swarmed around your head. You put your hands to your ears, shutting your eyes tightly. You took a few deep breaths before you calmed down slightly. You chalked it up to having little sleep and jet lag.
You peeled your clothes off and changed into something comfortable before climbing into bed. You willed yourself to go to sleep and to forget the mysterious door and creepy voice.
The next few days were, not uneventful, but normal. You were thrown right into helping Dr. Min and Dr. Kim on their project. They gave you all their notes and test results to review. You spent the next couple days carefully going over everything with extreme detail.
“What do you think?” Dr. Min asked. You handed him a stack of his notes.
“You should focus on radiation,” you said, looking over another set of notes. “That seemed to have the greatest effect on the blood samples. Radiation, after all, is known to cause mutations. However, certain radiations cause different types of mutation. Since I’m not sure what you’ve tested, you’ll have to be the one to determine what you want to do.”
Dr. Min nodded, looking over his notes. He gave you a big smile. “I was right to bring you on to this project Dr. L/N,” he said. You smiled, bowing your head. “You should take a break, stretch your legs a bit.” He left you alone after that, presumably to tell the others on the team your observations.
You stood from your desk, listening as your knees gave a solid pop. You stretched your arms above your head, listening as the rest of your body popped. You grabbed a jacket and began walking around the facility.
You soon found yourself back at the door you didn’t want to be at. The hallway was still dim with the few lights it had flickering. You once again approached the metal door, your heart hammering away in your chest. You placed a hand against the metal door, stepping so close your nose was almost touching it.
“Run away.”
There was that warning again. You had thought you’d dreamt the whole thing up when you didn’t hear the voice again. But this wasn’t a dream. Something didn’t want you hear, and you were going to find out what and why.
“Why?” you asked out loud. You were met with silence after that. “Why do I need to run away?”
“Danger.” You jumped slightly, looking around. Furrowing your brows, your hand traveled to the lock beside the door. “Don’t.” You placed your hand against it, waiting for it to recognize you. “Run away!”
Beep! Beep!
The door slid open, revealing another dim hallway. Cautiously you stepped in. You could feel your heart jumping to your throat as you took baby steps down the hallway. Behind you the door silently closed, trapping you behind the door.
You made your way down the hallway, looking around the hallway confused. Up ahead you could see what looked like clear jail cells. Your feet were slowly turning to lead the further you went. You continued until you were in the middle of a bunch of clear cells—cells with people in them.
“Hello?” you called. They all immediately turned to look at you. You let out a gasp, hands flying to your mouth. Four men sat chained in the cells. They were staring at you with curious expressions as you stared at them in horror.
The tallest one slowly approached the wall of his cell, the chains rattling across the floor. He squinted, tilting his head to the side. “Why are you here?”
You looked around the room, but none of them were talking. You looked back to the man, swallowing thickly. He had brown hair and different colored eyes. His wrists tugged at the chains, making you jump.
“So you’ve found them.” You turned to find Dr. Min walking towards you. He was smiling proudly as he approached the cell of the one with red hair. He placed a hand on the wall, staring down at him.
“Who are they?” you asked. Dr. Min let out a breath.
“Our project.” Your heart stopped in your chest when he said that. You looked around at the men before you, shackled like animals.
“That’s barbaric,” you bit. Dr. Min shrugged. “They’re people. How could you do this?”
“They’re freaks of nature. At least here they have a purpose. To send them out into the real world would be a crueler fate,” Dr. Min said, walking to the other cells. “Besides, with your help, the project can now move forward.” Your stomach lurched, making you frown. Dr. Min continued to move to each cell.
“You’re a monster.”
“No. They’re the monsters.” Dr. Min turned to you, a big smile on his face. “I hope this doesn’t change anything. After all, you’re stuck here for the next six months. And the nearest town is quite a ways away.” You said nothing. “Good. Feel free to examine them yourself as well, helps with the tests.”
Dr. Min turned on his heel, leaving you alone with the men in the cage. You took a deep breath, blinking away the tears threatening to spill. You bowed your head, ashamed that you had helped such a monster.
“We’re not monsters.” You turned to look at the man with the red hair. He had approached his cell wall too. You slowly approached him, putting a hand against the glass.
“No. You’re not,” you agreed. You let your hand fall from the glass, turning to look at them. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”
“Why didn’t you listen?” The tall one was looking at you with an intense gaze. His was the voice you’d been hearing. You shrugged.
“If you heard a voice in your head, would you?” you challenged.
“I hear every voice.” You bit your tongue, nodding your head.
“What’s your name?” You turned to the man with black hair. His eyes were glossy and his face had what looked like cracks in it.
“I’m Dr. Y/N L/N, but you can just call me Y/N. What are your names?” They stopped, looking at each other. You frowned. “Don’t you have names?”
“Does ‘Case 042689’ count?” asked the man with blonde hair. You shook your head. “Then no… we don’t.”
“I’m so sorry,” you said again. “How about I give you names? Something cool. Like a code name only we know?” You walked to the one with blonde hair. “How about… D-Lite?” He nodded his head. You gave him a small smile.
“And for you…” you said as you approached the one with black hair, “Taeyang. It means ‘sun’.” He offered you a bow, his face blank. You approached the tall one, looking up at him as he stared down at you. “T.O.P. Get it? Cause you’re on top?” He cocked his head to the side. “Tough crowd.”
You approached the last man. He had tucked himself back into his jail cell corner. You could see what looked like a dragon tattoo under the sleeve of his shirt. “How about G-Dragon? GD for short.” He simply curled into a tighter ball. You let your shoulders slump slightly. “I’ll go, but I’ll be back tomorrow. I promise.”
They said nothing more as they retreated into their cells. You made your way back to your room. Your heart broke for them. No one deserved to be treated that way, no matter how different they were. You climbed into bed, pulling the covers tight around you.
Sleep did not come easy to you, and when you did manage to close your eyes, nightmares plagued you. You would wake up, drenched in sweat, only to realize you’d only slept an hour. You would fall back onto your pillow and let your mind wander back to the four men locked in cages.
The next day, you kept your promise and visited them. Much like yesterday, they were hesitant to talk to you. GD was the most open with you. He would answer small questions, but any questions about their past immediately made them withdraw.
Over the next few weeks, they slowly opened up to you. They grew comfortable in your presence, and even looked forward to your daily visits. Dr. Min watched your interaction with them carefully, monitoring every action with a hawk-like stare.
“Would you like to go on a walk?” you asked them. Their heads whipped up to look at you with wide eyes. “I talked with Dr. Min, and he agreed with some ‘precautions’ as he called them. I can take you guys one at a time. Guards will watch us and we can’t walk around the entire facility, but I thought you’d like a chance to step out of these… cells.” They looked at each other before nodding.
The guards stepped forward and unlocked G-Dragon’s cell. They reached in and undid his chains. They towered over him, making him shrink back into his cell. You pulled them out of his cell and held your hand out for him. He slowly inched forward, slipping his bruised and calloused hand into your soft one. You gently guided him out until he was standing in the middle of the room.
“Let’s go,” you said, slipping his hand into the crook of your elbow. He stared at you with big eyes as you guided him down the hallway. The guards followed closely behind you, guns trained on him should he try anything. “I’ve been wanting to do this for a while.”
“Why?” he asked. You shrugged. “Why are you so kind to us?”
“Because being different isn’t a crime,” you said. “Being different is what makes us human.” He shook his head. “It’s true. If everyone was the same, then what would be the point of life? Differences are what makes each of us special.”
“Maybe, but our differences are probably more extreme,” he said as he took in the hallways of the facility.
“I never asked, but what are your differences. After I refused to continue to help with their program, they took away all the files.” He was silent for a moment, staring up at the lights at the ceiling.
“We have special abilities,” he finally said. “I can shapeshift into different people and creatures. D-Lite has claws and unnatural super strength. T.O.P can communicate telepathically. Taeyang… he can see into the future.”
“Really?” GD nodded. “I think that’s amazing. All of you are amazing.” GD let out a sigh, looking back at the guards.
“You seem to be the only person who thinks so.” You shook your head.
“You’ve been told, I’m guessing most of your life, that you’re a monster. A freak. But you’re not. And I want you to promise me that no matter what anyone else says, no matter how bad you feel, that I don’t think you’re a monster.” He nodded his head.
You guided him back to the cells where the guards shackled him and locked his cage. They moved to D-Lite’s cage. They pulled out metal gloves for him but you stopped them, saying it wasn’t necessary. They reluctantly let him out of his cage. He quickly grabbed onto your arm, looking over his shoulder at the guards.
“You’re safe,” you assured him. He nodded slowly, the grip on your arm tightening. You put your hand over his and guided him down the same path you and GD had taken. D-Lite was more curious about the outside world than GD had been.
“What’s snow?” he asked.
“It’s white and cold—very cold. Some places, like here, it snows almost all the time. Other places never get snow.”
“What do they have instead?”
“Summer. It’s a season. In summer, the sun is always shining. It’s warm and bright.”
“That sounds wonderful,” D-Lite said. “I’d like to see summer.” You gave his hand a squeeze.
“I’d like for you to see it too.” You lead him back to the cells. He reluctantly let go of your arm, moving to his cell. His shoulders slumped as he climbed in. One of the guards shoved him forward, making him fall. “Hey!” you yelled. “Watch it or I’ll have your job.” The guard sneered at you before shutting the cell door.
You moved over to T.O.P’s door. The guards followed you, and undid the lock. They brought him forward. He glared at the guards. They refused to undo the chains around his wrists, and deep down, you didn’t think he wanted them to. You offered your arm, but he ignored it, waiting for you to start walking. Letting out a silent sigh, you lead him out the door.
T.O.P didn’t talk much to begin with. He was the silent, brooding type. You didn’t fill the silence. Forcing conversation only made him withdraw further into himself. He didn’t look around in wonder as GD had and he certainly wasn’t curious about the outside world as D-Lite had been.
“You said you, ‘hear every voice’. What did you mean by that?” you asked. He didn’t speak, he just stared out ahead at the hallway.
“I can hear every thought. Nothing in anyone’s head is safe from me.” You glanced back at the guards before continuing to walk.
“Can you hear me?” you thought. He gave a slight incline of his head. “So you can read people’s thoughts. Can you do anything else?”
“I don’t dare to try in fear that they’ll do more experiments. I warn the others when they come to take blood. I warn them not to show them anymore than they already have. Their used to be five of us, but he did not heed my warning.” The two of you stopped momentarily as you took in what he had just told you. You willed yourself to remain calm before you began your trek back to the cells.
“I promise. I’ll get you all out of here.” No more was said or thought between the two of you as you made your way back to the cells. The guards were more than happy to put T.O.P back in his cell. They slowly made their way to Taeyang’s cell.
They pulled him out and pushed him towards you. You caught him easily, glaring at the guards. He gripped your arm tightly, staring down at the floor. You gently straightened him up, leading him away from the cells.
Much like T.O.P, Taeyang didn’t speak. He stared thoughtfully out into the hallway. You couldn’t tell if he was able to see, and you didn’t want to be rude and pry. You wanted to know more about his gifts, but the entire facility was covered in cameras and the guards weren’t that far away from you.
Occasionally, Taeyang would stop and look around. He would gingerly reach out and touch the wall, staring at it for a few moments before retaking your arm. The guards also seemed more relaxed around him as well. He certainly wasn’t as threatening as the other three, but there was still something there that unsettled you about him.
As you were making your way back to the cells, you could tell his mood was darkening. And if you didn’t know better, you would have said his eyes seemed to be glowing. You didn’t say anything as T.O.P’s words played over in your head.
Once you were back to the cells, you let the guards guide Taeyang back to his. But before they could secure him, he rushed out, grasping the front of your shirt.
“Only one survives!” he told you, eyes glowing an unnatural white. The guard yanked him off of you, throwing him into the cell and chaining him up. Your heart was pounding in your chest as you watched Taeyang shrink back into his cage. You turned to the others who were watching you carefully.
You quickly turned on your heel and made your way back to your room. You spent almost the whole night staring up at your wall, replaying Taeyang’s words in your head. Different scenarios ran through your head to decipher his meaning. Each was worse than the last.
Despite the ominous message, for the next few weeks, once a week, you would take them out of their cells to walk around the facility. D-Lite continuously asked about the outside world, each topic raising a thousand and one questions. T.O.P still didn’t speak very often, but his presence wasn’t as gloomy as it had been the first time you took a walk. Taeyang didn’t speak on your walks, not that he spoke often.
GD liked hearing about your life before MADE. He liked all the little mundane things that made your life normal. You liked talking to him the most. There was something so comforting about his inquiries and about his presence. You tended to walk slower with him, savoring each word and moment together.
Each night afterwards, you would wander around the facility, memorizing every door and turn and path. You swore to yourself you would save them, but you were going to need help. It was a risky move, but it was the only one you had.
One night you were sitting in your room when Dr. Kim poked his head in your doorway. You turned to him, offering a smile.
“Hello Dr. Kim, how can I help you?” you asked. He stepped in, rubbing the back of his neck.
“I just, um, I just wanted to, uh, check in with the, um, experiments—”
“Don’t call them that.” Dr. Kim jumped at your harsh tone. You slowly turned back to your desk, studying the map of the facility with a highlighter in your hand.
“Right, um, how’s that going?” You set the highlighter down, swiveling your chair around to stare at Dr. Kim. He swallowed thickly, shifting his weight from foot to foot.
“If Dr. Min wants information from me, then tell him to get off his fat ass and come to me himself.” Dr. Kim blushed profusely, scratching behind his ear. “Although, if you want to be a good human, I do need your help with something.” Dr. Kim looked out in the hallway, a frown tugging at the corner of his mouth. He looked back at you before back at the door. He closed it deftly, moving to stand by you.
“How can I help?” he asked. You told him your plan to help them escape. Dr. Kim was taken aback by how open you were about your plan. You explained that it all depended on his help. “If we fail, they’ll kill them.”
“They’ll kill them if they stay. At least this way, they didn’t die in chains,” you said. Dr. Kim bowed his head. He let out a deep breath, standing to his feet.
“Okay, I’ll help.” He gave you a curt nod before walking to your door. He paused, his hand resting on the handle. “You know, I felt the same way you did when I first came. I was appalled by what he was doing. I don’t know why I ever agreed.” You didn’t say anything in return as he left.
The next few days were spent visiting the boys and discussing the plan with Dr. Kim. He convinced Dr. Min that you were beginning to open up to the experiment and might even rethink joining the cause. You rolled your eyes at the notion, but gave him props for the cover.
On the day of the big escape, Dr. Kim accompanied you to your weekly walk with the boys. The guards were already waiting for you when you stepped into the room. The boys looked at Dr. Kim with confusion.
“Let them all out their cages,” Dr. Kim said, doing his best to sound intimidating and professional. The guards looked at each other before turning back to the two of you. Dr. Kim rolled his eyes, stepping forward. “Is there going to be a problem? I’d hate to have to go to Dr. Min about denying one of his lead scientists the access he has every right to demand. He quirked a brow, staring the guards down.
The guards looked at each other before moving to let them out of their cages. Slowly they stepped out, looking at each other before turning to you. You made direct contact with T.O.P, watching as he slipped into your mind. His spine straightened as he withdrew from your mind. He turned to the guard next to him and threw his head forward, knocking the guard out.
The guard raised their weapons towards him, but D-Lite took his claws and slashed one of them. G-Dragon lunged at another guard, knocking his gun away from him. Taeyang lunged at the last guard. He landed a solid kick to his stomach, sending him flying back towards the wall.
Dr. Kim swallowed thickly. “Right, um, the cameras are playing on a loop, we don’t have long before they realize you all are missing.”
“He’s right. We need to move. Now,” you said. The others nodded, following you as you began leading down the path you and Dr. Kim had decided on. GD and D-Lite stood closest to you, looking around as you navigated the maze of hallways. T.O.P and Taeyang followed closely behind you, adding more distance between you and Dr. Kim.
Dr. Kim reached his arm, stopping everyone in their tracks. Sirens began blaring as the sound of feet pounding the pavement drew closer. He motioned for you all to follow him to another emergency route. However, the path was also crowded with guards loaded with guns.
“We’re trapped,” Dr. Kim hissed, running a hand through his hair.
Taeyang turned to look at you. He reached a hand out, tracing his fingers along the shape of your face and its features. He tilted his head slightly, letting his hand fall to his side. He held up a finger to his nose before running out to where the guards were.
T.O.P grabbed you, putting a hand over your mouth as the sound of running and gunshots flew past you. You struggled against his strong grip, but soon the sounds faded and there was nothing left but silence. You slumped against him, a few stray tears falling down your cheeks. You took a deep breath straightening yourself out.
“Let’s go,” you said. “Don’t let his sacrifice be in vain.” Dr. Kim led your group down the now empty hallway and into part of the facility you weren’t familiar with. Big, open rooms surrounded you as you tiptoed underneath the cameras.
Shouting halted your movements. You turned to look at the others, holding a finger up to your lips. You poked your head around the corner slightly and found more guards standing around, guns at the ready.
“Get back.” You turned to T.O.P, furrowing his brows. “You asked if I was capable of anything else. Well, I guess now is as good a time as any to show you.” He pulled you back to GD, taking a deep breath.
He stepped out for the guards to see him. They raised their weapons towards him, shouting at him. He held his hands up, bowing his head. When he lifted his head again, his eyes were glowing much like Taeyang’s had. The guards began yelling, dropping their weapons as they screamed and clutched their heads. Some of them had blood dripping out of their noses as they fell to the knees.
You were all focused on T.O.P that you didn’t notice one of the guards fighting through the pain to grab his gun. A deafening shot rang through the air before the guard fell down, blood pooling out of his nose.
T.O.P fell to his knees. His hands came to his side as blood began spilling through his fingers. You attempted to run to him but Dr. Kim and GD both held you back. Dr. Kim was deathly pale and GD had tears in his own eyes. T.O.P fell backwards, turning his head to look at you.
“Don’t weep for me. This was a better fate than I could have hoped for. Now, run away.” His eyes slowly went blank as his hands fell limp to his sides.
GD pulled you away from him, taking a deep breath. D-Lite came to hold your hand as you continued to try and escape. His body was shaking slightly as he clung to you. GD’s eyes were red as he followed Dr. Kim through the empty halls.
Dr. Kim suddenly stopped in his tracks, turning to look at you. “What?” you asked.
“It won’t matter if we escape. They’ll just find more people to capture and torture,” he said.
“What are you suggesting?”
“This facility houses a bunch of different types of radiation components. If they mix, it could blow the entire place up,” he told you. You nodded your head, turning to look at the others.
“Where is it kept?” you inquired, turning back to look at him.
“There’s a unit in the back of the facility.” You nodded your head.
“Go and set it off. I’ll lead them out and we’ll meet at the edge of the nearest town,” you said. Dr. Kim nodded. He turned on his heel and began making his way to the back of the facility. You turned to D-Lite and GD. “Come on. It’s time to get out of this hellhole.”
You set off to continue on your exit route. The hallway was completely abandoned as you deftly made your way to the exit. Sirens began blaring, alerting everyone of the oncoming nuclear bomb about to be set off. Unfortunately, metal doors began coming down, blocking your escape. You hit your fist against the metal door., cursing under your breath.
You quickly led GD and D-Lite away from the door, searching for another exit. Beneath you, the floor began shaking violently, jolting your every step. You fought through it, searching for another door to escape through. Shouting made you backtrack, pressing yourself against the wall. GD and D-Lite followed suit, holding their breaths.
D-Lite looked between you and GD before stepping forward. You shook your head, motioning for him to get back. He gave you a half-smile before taking a deep breath. He bared his claws, a fiery look of determination on his face. He ran past you, letting out a battle cry.
GD grabbed your arm, yanking you to his chest. Shots fired and men screamed. You fought against his hold, but he shook his head, tightening your grip. Soon everything fell silent except for someone whimpering.
Stepping around the wall, you found the guards sliced up, blood pooling around them. D-Lite was laying against the wall, blood pooling on his stomach. You rushed forward, falling to your knees as you watched his wound helplessly.
“Do you—do you think that when I—when I come back, I’ll get to see—get to see summer?” D-Lite asked as tears fell from his eyes. You nodded your head, tears pooling in your own eyes. You brushed his blonde locks from his eyes, running a gentle hand along his cheek.
“I think—” your voice cracked slightly, “I think you’ll end up in a place where it’s summer all the time.” He smiled at you, tears falling on your fingers as he gasped for breath. You reached down to clutch his hand as the light behind his eyes slowly faded into nothing.
You bent your head, crying silently. GD knelt beside you, wrapping an arm around you and resting his head on your back. Your body shook slightly as his limp hand fell from yours. Shouting made GD jerk his head. He gently pulled you away from D-Lite and urged you to the nearest door.
You held onto GD’s hand tightly. The building shook and came tumbling down around you as you continued to search for another exit. The sound of running and screaming blended in with the blaring sirens, creating a seemingly noiseless environment. Up ahead you could see another door. The two of you quickly ran to it, barreling through and looking around.
The first thing you noticed was the sun. It was bright. You looked down and saw the snow on the ground. You let out a breath, squinting your eyes to look around. However, all you saw was the facility walls. You spun around and let out a groan. You were outside, but you were on the wrong side of the facility walls.
“Damnit!” you yelled. G-Dragon went to reach out for you when gunfire exploded from behind you. You turned and found people in the guard towers staring at you two. You reached forward, grabbing his hand and pulling him to a door. More gunfire followed you.
Boom!
There was a big explosion to your left that sent you and GD flying. You landed on top of him, letting out a groan. Your ears were ringing as you struggled to stand up. GD pulled you up, looking around and pulling you towards a door in the corner. You were limping and struggling to keep up.
Looking backwards, you could see bright flashes of white that reminded you of Taeyang’s eyes. That was when you paused, just outside the door back inside the facility. Only one survives. He’d known his fate long before you’d met him.
You let out a sigh, turning to GD. You walked towards him, offering a weak smile. You wrapped your arms around him and hugged him as tightly as possible. You reached for the door knob and opened the door. You pulled back from him to give him a smile and a nod before you shoved him into the facility, shutting the door behind him.
You heard him banging against the door as you turned to walk back out into the middle of the field. Snow crunched under your feet and your ears were still ringing as you looked at one guard tower in particular.
You could feel his smug grin from where you stood. You shook your head, looking up at him. “They’re gone!” you yelled. “They’re gone and you lose.” You closed your eyes as one last explosion went off.
***
It was some time before everything went silent. The sirens had stopped blaring, the screams had been silenced, and the building had collapsed with nothing but ash and rubble surrounding G-Dragon.
He coughed, waving away the dust as he struggled to navigate the rubble. He found the door from before and pushed it open. Fire covered the snow as he trampled through it. In the middle of the snowy field was the one thing he didn’t want to find.
You laid in a heap on the ground, clothes soaked from the snow. Your face was covered in cuts and blood, but you looked so peaceful. Blood stained your clothes and the snow around you.
GD fell to his knees, pulling your body onto his lap. He let out an animalistic scream as the tears began flowing down his face. He bent his head touching his forehead to yours. He rocked you back and forth, his cries filling the otherwise silent void.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “It’s all my fault.”
“Yes. It is.”
GD looked up to find his capturer and torturer standing a few feet from him, completely unscathed. He peered down at you, a frown tugging at the corner of his mouth. He shook his head, looking back to GD.
“Dr. L/N was going to go places. Now look, dead all because you think you’re anything more than a monster.” GD bent his head, clutching your body close to his. He looked down at your face, thinking back to your walks together. How you were so understanding and kind.
“And I want you to promise me that no matter what anyone else says, no matter how bad you feel, that I don’t think you’re a monster.”
“I’m not a monster,” GD mumbled. He glanced up at Dr. Min who was glaring down at him. “I. Am. Not. A. Monster.” GD stood up, matching Dr. Min’s glare. He felt his skin beginning to ripple as he Dr. Min began shrinking. He shook his head, letting out a roar.
A dragon stood before Dr. Min, eyes focused on him. Dr. Min tried to run, but he was no match for GD. He was swallowed in one bite. GD bent his head down, nuzzling your body one more time before turning his head to where Dr. Kim would be waiting. He let out a breath.
Everything would burn.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Jiyong. G Dragon. GD. The same person. Such drastically different sides. A living legend. A pathbreaker in kpop. A trendsetter in fashion. Just all round incredible. For more reasons than one. The man had a side job. He was the head of a mafia gang. It was a well-kept secret, but there was no denying that Jiyong, the mafia boss, was a terrifying man. He had absolutely no emotion when it came to running the gang, and that’s what made him terrifying. There was no appeal either his gang members could give him, or his victims could give him that would work, because he would never empathise with them. The whole image of Jiyong being a shy, cute guy was a clever front for his side business. Whatever deals he made, he never went back on, so he quickly became the best in the business. It wasn’t for nothing that he became the richest kpop star, you know.
He was sitting in his room, leaning back and just about to close his eyes when he got a call.
 “Is this Mr.Jiyong?”
With his eyes still closed, Jiyong responded.
“And if this is him, what do you need?”
This rather frantic sounding voice replied saying,
“I have a job for you. I need you to abduct someone.”
Jiyong finally opened his eyes. So this was a serious call after all. Jiyong’s tone icy as ever, he asked,
“Are you aware of my rates?”
The same frantic voice answered, sounding a little irritated.
“I’ll give you as much money as you want. I don’t care about the cost. Just get the job done.”
Jiyong started to get annoyed. Was this client implying he wouldn’t be able to get the job done? Jiyong didn’t bother reassuring him, because Jiyong never reassured people. He simply said,
“Anything else you want me to do?”
 The man’s voice dropped.
“Abduct her. Torture her. Send a video to her father. I need him to sign some papers, and he keeps refusing. He won’t refuse if his daughter’s life is on the line. If he still doesn’t sign,”
 he paused,
“kill her.”
Jiyong nodded, jotting down the details. This was standard stuff. Must be some business partner’s daughter. This client didn’t sound like it was his first time asking the mafia for something. Maybe this girl was also part of a mafia family. The client sighed.
“I wouldn’t have gone this far if my brother had just signed the damn papers.”
Jiyong froze. Even to a beast like him, family was family. There were some of his family and friends he would do anything for. He felt disgusted for a second, but shook it off. Business was business.
“Okay, we will be able to do that. Send me her details and where to find her.”
You had only gotten to Korea a few months ago, barely settling into your new job. You were struggling a little with the new place and the new culture, but you were enjoying the freedom from your family. At home, things were always complicated. Your father and his brothers were constantly fighting over money and property, and somehow, being around that negative environment was never good for you. You knew your uncles. You knew they were in the wrong. You knew how they were constantly coercing people and blackmailing people. You knew how they constantly cheated people. You knew how they ill-treated your grandparents. You knew your father was fighting for the right thing, but it was exhausting to be around. Which is why when you got a new job in Seoul as a PR rep for a company, you jumped at the chance to go. Your father was very worried about sending you away, but you never fully understood the worry, confident that you’d be fine in a new place. As you sat in the trunk of a car, gagged, cuffed and blindfolded, you finally understood why he was worried.
When they finally removed the cover off your head, you were sitting, tied to a chair, in the middle of a dimly lit, crowded room. There was a man sitting a few feet across from you, legs crossed and staring at you. As you blinked to adjust to the light, you slowly started to make out the features of his face. You recognised those features. You were a fan, or at least, you used to be. You couldn’t help the gasp that escaped your mouth when you saw him. Some of his men at the back laughed when they saw that, but his expression remained unchanged. Unflinching, uncaring, intense. After that though, you clamped down on yourself. You made up your mind to refuse to speak. You father had enough and more problems on his hands. You were not going to be one of them. You were certain you’d survive this. You didn’t know why you had that implicit faith, but you just did. You had to.
Jiyong looked at you, trying to gauge you. He was expecting more fear or even anger in your eyes, but he was not expecting a stubborn obstinacy to be there. A determination that was rare in such situations. His eyes slowly raked over the rest of you. His men and their looks, comments and whistles had already established that you were attractive, but he surprised himself when he looked at your face and found himself thinking you were stunning. He had abducted plenty of women before, and a good number of them were attractive, and he had never thought that before, but somehow, the sight of you sitting there, your hair dishevelled, your white shirt crumpled, your shorts torn and your eyes glaring at him with that insane determination did something to him. Constantly maintaining his poker face, in his low, cold voice, he said,
“Call her father.”
There was a slight pause.
“Daesung, torture her. Nothing too serious. Just enough to make her scream. Don’t touch the face though.”
He paused to smirk lightly.
“She’s a pretty thing.”
At that moment, you looked up at him and decided that you loathed the man.
Jiyong held the phone while they dialed your father’s number and Daesung stepped forward with a whip. You bit down on your lip determined not to scream. You knew they wanted to make your father hear you scream. You knew that if he heard you scream, he would go insane with worry. And so, as the first lash hit you, the pain searing through your thigh, you kept quiet, even though your body felt like it was on fire. They expected you to give in and scream with the first three lashes, but after you still hadn’t screamed with 10, they switched it up. You were crying from the pain, and your lips were bleeding from how hard you bit them, but you felt oddly exalted. You weren’t screaming. Daesung undid the ropes tying you to the chair and picked you up, and began punching you in the stomach, and although you desperately wanted it to stop, and you could feel the metallic taste of blood in your mouth, you held on, not screaming. Finally, Daesung took out a switch blade. Jiyong felt a slow sense of panic rise in him, and just as he cut the call, and said,
“Enough.”,
Daesung stabbed you in the stomach. It wasn’t too deep a cut, but as you watched the blood stain your shirt, you felt the need to laugh. Jiyong, still maintaining the poker face, said,
“Everybody out. Hanbin, Youngbae and Daesung stay.”
They, along with Mino and Seunghyun hyung, were part of Jiyong’s inner circle. They weren’t just his men. They were his friends. They were his family. They knew something was off by the way Jiyong said that. Still maintaining the poker face as the leader, Jiyong said,
“Hanbin, get the other room ready. She’ll be kept there. You will be in charge of getting her food and water. Tell the boys that no one is to touch her.”
He turned to Daesung and Youngbae.
“Put pressure on the wound and stop the bleeding. Bring her up to my room.”
And he left for his room.
Daesung helped you up while Youngbae applied pressure on the wound. You were wary of them, especially Daesung, but he was surprisingly gentle when helping you, almost apologetically. They left you in Jiyong’s room, Youngbae giving you instructions on how to stop the bleeding, and Daesung slowly whispering,
“Sorry”
before leaving. You looked around you, wincing from the pain and the smell of blood. You were just about to sit when Jiyong entered the room. He looked different. His blazer was gone and his sleeves were rolled up. He was holding a first-aid kit. He looked at you, and said,
“Strip.”
You were annoyed with the man, but you were curious. Was the same man who ordered them to torture you going to give you first-aid? In the same detached tone as him, you replied,
 “Why?”
He gestured to your wound.
“That needs to be taken care of.”
You looked at him, trying to figure him out. You also had a feeling he wouldn’t answer any more questions, so you just shrugged and slipped out of your shirt. He slowly walked over to you, and started disinfecting the wound. He was being surprisingly tender. He had never done this before. This wasn’t like him. He found himself looking at the lashes and the bruises, and feeling sad, which was definitely not like Jiyong. He never sympathised with the victims. He also couldn’t look up, because already, without looking at your face, there was a slight blush across his face from seeing you like that. He dressed your wound in silence, and after dressing it, he just walked out of the room, leaving you alone there to wonder what exactly was he thinking until Hanbin came to get you.
After that, things changed a little. You were moved to a room of your own. Granted, it had no windows, and all it had in it was an old couch and a study table, but it was still an improvement. At least it had an attached bathroom. Although they kept you locked up in there, Hanbin, on Jiyong’s orders, removed your gag, blindfold and handcuffs. It was much better for you this way, and you were doing okay. Jiyong had your phone with him, and you were dependant on Hanbin for pretty much everything, but it was better. You liked Hanbin. He was a nice guy. He would talk to you and check in on you even when he didn’t have to. From talking to him, you gathered that he was a nice guy. More sensitive. Always got attached to people when he shouldn’t have. Jiyong had warned him about that countless times, but Hanbin, being the sweetheart that he is, always did anyway. It was late in the evening the next day, and you were just peacefully relaxing, when you heard someone opening the door. You knew it wasn’t Hanbin, because he always knocked, so immediately, your guard went up. It was a man you didn’t recognise. He came in and smiled at you. It was a menacing smile. It made you nervous. Trying to keep your voice steady, you said,
“What’re you doing here? You’re not supposed to be here.”
His smile grew wider. He came closer to you, until his face was only a few inches away from yours. In a second, before you could even react, he caught your hands, and held them painfully tight above your head. He pushed his knee between your legs, holding your legs in a vice-grip. He leaned in, close to your ear, and said,
“Look at you. Who do you think you are, you little bitch?”
He slapped you.
“You think you’re in a position to order me around.”
He laughed.
“Well, you’re not, and all you managed to do is make me angrier.”
He pushed his lips onto yours, forcing his tongue through your lips, and running his hands all over you body, groping you. He was just about to unzip his pants, when the door slammed open. It was Jiyong. As usual, he had his poker face on, but immediately, that man dropped your hands and stepped away from you, trembling. He knew Jiyong didn’t like being disobeyed. Jiyong slowly reached for his gun. He looked at the man.
 “Joongi. Stay there.”
Joongi could only nod, trembling in fear. Jiyong took out his gun and pointed it straight at your forehead. He moved closer to a shocked you. He handed you the phone and said,
“Call your father. Tell him you’re here.”
Jiyong had been bothered by how he stopped them from torturing you all day. It wasn’t like him. It was more like him to send a picture of you, all bloody and bruised to your father. He didn’t like this new found vulnerability. He didn’t like the uncertainty of emotions. He thought about it all day and finally decided to make you call your father and tell him. He had no idea why you were being so stubborn, but he was sure he could make you crack. He couldn’t afford to disappoint a client, after all. He walked down to your room, feeling oddly nervous about what he was going to do. All of that disappeared though, when he noticed your rooms was unlocked and the lock had been picked. He started to feel worry rising in him. Hanbin wasn’t careless enough to make that kind of a mistake. He walked into the room to see Joongi kiss you and grope you while you tried to fight him, but failed. Jiyong felt this anger boil in him. He had killed many people in his career, but he had never felt this intense a desire to make someone feel pain and suffer. He would deal with Joongi later. For now, he had to make you call your father. He held a gun to your head, and told you to call your father.
You were shaking from what just happened, and you were scared because of the gun to your head, but you were determined to sound normal for your father. You called him. He answered on the first ring.
“Hi Sweetheart. How are you? How is the job?”
You took a deep breath. You looked at the gun and shrugged. If it was your time to go, you would. You looked straight into Jiyong’s eyes and decided you weren’t going to give in to this kind of pressure.
“Hi Dad. Everything is okay. I’m just getting used to things here.”
And just like that, with a gun to your head, you lapsed into your normal conversation with your dad. You smiled and continued talking to your dad as usual while staring into Jiyong’s cold eyes the whole time. Your dad suddenly asked something unusual.
“So, did you get to see your favourite kpop star? That Green dragon guy?”
You smiled. Jiyong’s eyes changed slightly.
“Dad, G Dragon. Not Green dragon. And yes, I did see him.”
“Why do you sound so disappointed Darling? Not as handsome as the pictures?”
You paused for a minute. Still looking into Jiyong’s eyes, you said,
“No Dad. He’s every bit as good looking as the pictures, it’s just his personality and values. I’m disappointed.”
And something in Jiyong just went off. He grabbed the phone from you and cut the call. Within seconds, he moved his gun to Joongi’s direction and without even looking away from your eyes, shot him straight in the middle of his forehead. He grabbed your face and pulled you closer until you were only an inch away from him. Teeth gritted, he asked,
 “Why’re you disappointed in me?”
Refusing to back down, you replied, with your eyes blazing.
“Because I used to like you. I used to admire you. But now, I hate you.”

Warning : smut!!
[1:03am] "Are you sure baby? Once we start, I might not be able to stop." Your boyfriend said, watching your expression intently. Laying under him with both of his arms caging your body, you could only hum.
"Please Seungyoun, I want you." Seungyoun sighed in pleasure at your words. He loved that you trusted him enough for him to be your first time. The only thing he was scared of was loosing control with you. Let's just say he liked when things we're a little more rough. Still, he never would want to hurt you.
He positioned himself between your already wet folds from previous foreplay. You squirmed when he placed his tip at your entrace. He stared at you, waiting for the green light.
"Please Seungyoun". You almost whined.
"Just tell me if you're uncomfortable, okay?" With that, he slowly slid into you, the tightness making his head fall into the crook of your neck. You winced as he fully entered you, the strech a bit uncomfortable at first. He waited a bit for you to get adjusted at his lenght.
"It's okay, you can move." His lips pecking your forhead, he slowly started thrusting into you. I didn't take long for small moans to escape your mouth, loving the way his member was stretching you.
"Does it feel good baby?" Your boyfriend growled in you ear. Holding onto his shoulders, you could barely form a decent answer.
"Mmh feels good." Your boyfriend felt his ego inflate as he continued to buck his hips into yours. As your moans got louder and whinyer, Seungyoun couldn't help but increase his speed. He grabbed your leg and threw it over his shoulder, allowing himself a better angle. You almost screamed when he entered you again, the new position allowing him to go even deeper.
"You like that don't you." He smirked to himself, watching your face twisted in pleasure. He pounded faster and harder into you, your high pitched moans like a melody to his ears. "Who's making you feel this good?" You couldn't even formulate a decent sentence, too lost in your own pleasure.
"It-It's you..." You shakily whined. His grip on your hips tightened and you were sure that bruises would appear in the morning but you could care less. He started sucking on the skin of your collarbone, a heavy sigh leaving your lips.
"Say my name." He demanded. Just before you could say anything, he brought his hand to your clit, rubbing the bundel of nerves. Before you knew it, a wave of pleasure washed over your body, making you see stars.
"Seungyoun!" You moaned loudly. Chuckling at your fucked out state, he continued pounding mercessly into you, riding your orgasm. This could only be the beginning of a great night, he thought to himself.

Pieces of honor
Chapter 1
Pairing: TOP X READER, DAESUNG X READER, G-DRAGON X READER.
To have everything is not always good, it doesn’t makes you happy all the time. Maybe the idea of be able to buy everything you want, everything you see, etcetera... is nice. Who wouldn’t like going to fancy restaurants, to fancy parties, travel to many places which are almost paradise?... Well I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if you knew that those billions are made of suffering, blood, tears, screamings for mercy, pleadings, unfairness… you cannot be that selfish, can you?
My life was not easy, it is not, and it won’t be. I’ve always hated it… I just don’t like the things I have to do. My father was the boss of the largest mafia in China, my mom... a famous mercenary who used to 'work' in Middle East, she have never told me from which country she is.
I was half Chinese but for some reason I looked more like my mom
'You are not Chinese'
'Your eyes are ugly, you are ugly'
'Get out of China'
'We don’t want you here’
I used to hear since I was in kindergarten every single fucking day. You would be surprised at how cruel children can be.
'It's not my fault'
'Sorry'
'I know, I’m ugly'
'Please, please, don’t look at me'
I used to thought when I heard those comments or when children’s eyes were strong on me. I lived in a really big house, in a mansion, however no one wanted to play with me, no one was my friend, I was always home alone. My parents everytime were doing their business, so they hadn’t much time for me, nevertheless they did their best to make me happy.
'How are you, today?' Mister Choi used to ask me when I was about to go to school 'fine, thank you' I answered everyday, sometimes I felt that he was the only person who really cared about me. I never told him I felt bad because I didn’t want to worry the only person who showed me 'love' even more frequently than my parents.
One day I had to left my home, my dad got into troubles with a powerful rival Mafia “you'll go to Mexico, our friends are there” my dad told me. The first time I could be able to talk with them in a whole month, and they were telling me I had to go, I felt so sad that morning… “but I want to be with you” I said “you are not safe here” he pointed out. Since that moment I learnt to hide my feelings, maybe I became very good at doing it.
The friends of my parents were weapons traffickers, they provided weapons to guerrilla armed forces, to drug dealers, to small mafias, and to thieves. Their power reached all Latin America, however their where not as powerful as my parents.
I still remember that day… clearly. I wanted to cry so badly, when I went downstairs I tried my best to not sob. I had to go to school, so I waited for Mister Choi in front of the main door. A servant gave me my backpack “thank you” I said not looking at her as I used to “my little princess, are you okay?” she asked me “y-yes” I told her my eyes were filled up with tears “please, wait for me Miss ____. I’ll take you to school today” Mister Choi told me as he walked towards me quickly, he was holding a boy’s hand.
Mister Choi usually just closed the car’s door when I got in, the driver always was a young lady. But at that moment I was in risk so, my dad probably asked him to personally take me to school. The young lady was very well trained, but she was not as experienced as Mister Choi.
“This is my son, SeungHyun. You both can talk while you wait” he said no more and walked into the house, probably he was going to see with my dad
“Hello” that little guy said “hello” I responded looking down “I’m Choi SeungHyun, nice to meet you” then I looked at him, he introduced himself smiling, no other child had been that polite with me “I’m Zhao ___, nice to meet you too” I smiled.
“Your face doesn’t look like the Chinese people's faces” he commented, I felt even more bad “yeah, it’s strange” I said. I hoped Mister Choi could come quickly “I think it is cute” he responded, I looked at him surprised as hell... His expression, he was being honest, for a second I felt happy “let’s go guys” Mister Choi returned...
The plane took off that night, I couldn’t see SeungHyun again in many years. “You are going to be safe here, don’t worry” Mister Choi was kneeled in front of me, I nodded.
I just accepted that the house behind me was going to be my home for some time. I accepted it as I accepted to leave China in the presence of my father: no expression, no tears, no problems for them, I just nodded the same way.
“Mister Choi, thank you” I hugged him as soon as I finished talking, I nearly cried “in some years I’ll bring you home, please… be patient Miss ____” he hugged me back.
“Welcome home, ____” a female voice “Mrs. Renata” he said “how are you?” she greeted me “fine”. “Thank you, Mister Choi. She will be fine here” he nodded and walked away “let me introduce you to my children” she said.
Those boys were very kind, and always made me feel protected when I was home sick, when I had nightmares, and so on. In Mexico the kids were not as rude as the Chinese kids, perhaps because my appearance was more Occidental, in no time I felt happier there.
We used to play a lot, do our homework together, they helped me many times because they were older, we also played a lot during the breaks at school… Honestly I didn’t want to go back to China.
“When we grow up, I’ll marry you” Max, the big brother, told me “and you will be my princess” I laughed “but I don’t want to be a princess” I said “well, l will be your princess then” he told me “yes” I responded. He was very cute as his brother Ricardo who I loved so much too. I felt as their sister, and their mother was like my mom too. At some point I thought she cared more than my own mother, everyday asked me about the school, if the kids were nice to me, and so on, I’ve never felt so loved.
One day, when I was 15 years old Mister Choi came for me, he took me back to China. I was sad of course, but at the same time I was happy to see him again. I was about to enter highschool, my father of course chose a school for me.
“We are here, Miss ____” the car stopped “I’m glad to see you again, Mister Choi” I gave him a hug “me too, my little princess”.
I walked towards the main entrance of the mansion, my father and my mother were there waiting for me “my brave daughter” my father said “Dad” he hugged me “welcome” he told me “thank you” I hugged my mom too “we have prepared a special dinner for you, but go and tell Mrs. Liu what you would like to eat as dessert” she explained me.
I went to the kitchen... while I was walking through the mansion I thought about Mister Choi's son suddenly “little princess, you are here” Miss Liu, as I called her, was in tears “yes, I'm back” I hugged her tight “I missed you so much” she said.
The servants at the mansion used to call me 'little princess' I didn’t like it so much but, I knew they called me that way to show me their love, the young lady who everyday took me to school gave me that nick name, her name was Amber, she was the daughter of Miss Liu.
After talked a little with Miss Liu, I went upstairs to my bedroom. It was the same, my things were exactly in the same place as I remembered, I smiled. I took a shower and changed my clothes for the dinner.
“Mom, Dad” I said as I walked into the dinning room “have a sit” my father told me as he pointed to my place. The servants quickly served us the food while we we’re talking about what had happened all that time.
“So, have you seen the information about your highschool?” my dad asked “yes, I’ve” my mom smiled “your Chinese is still good, isn’t it?” she asked “yes, it is. I’ve been studying hard” my dad sighed “I know you will do a good job here, I'll rest in peace when I die” he said proud “I’ll do my best, as always".
Hey there! Hope you like this story!
The next chapters will get smutty, so be prepared!
Love y'all.

Bigbang Reaction to You, Their Sister, Dressing Provakative
Anonymous said to kpoppwriter:
Hi! Could I request a BigBang reaction to their famous sister, maybe she’s a popular Korean model or idol (they are 2 years younger) and she’s known for her sexy image, like provocative dancing and fashion, like HyunA? Thank you.
T.O.P
Tumblr media
Seunghyun would always love you. You were his baby sister sure, but you were grown. It your body and you can do what you want was his way of thinking. Sometimes in interviews they would ask how someone who never shows and a “slut” could be related. Seunghyun was mature but would snap on them, asking why they felt like you couldn’t dress how you wanted in photoshoots. He would also ask them to stop looking at you all together because you would never date their sorry ass, then call you and tell you, you better not.
Taeyang
Tumblr media
Didn’t mind it and wanted to support you, but don’t show him your work please. At first, hearing you were seen as provocative would throw him for a loop. He had never taken that close of a look too really so you like that. He worked out to the songs but never paid the lyrics a lot of attention. He saw the magazine covers but never took a closer look. He would be stuck but just speak his mind. You were you and you could do whatever you wanted. He would also ask why there was a problem since he always had his chest out on stage. He was gonna point out their misogyny before they said another word about you.
G Dragon
Tumblr media
Ji would be so blasé about you being “provocative”. When you walked around with high waisted, ass out, shorts, he would just keep doing whatever the fuck he was doing. Ji had no problem with you dressing like that. You were expressing yourself and that’s one of the most beautiful things someone could do. As long as you didn’t look a hot fucking mess or have mitch match patterns on he was fine with it and didn’t see you any different than if you chose to dress like a nun. He was actually more comfortable since you were less likely to judge him.
Daesung
Tumblr media
Dae would have no problem with you dressing like that, until he heard you were the hottest thing ever to almost every guy but him. He would tell you that he was so happy you were confident but always throw a jacket or “safety shorts” your way. Dae wanted you to be confident, he wanted you to be happy and he wanted you to feel like he supported you, and he did. But Dae was afraid of not just you growing up but all the creeps who liked you. To him you were his baby sister so to have all these creeps looking at you was weird to him. It would take a while but he would get the hint you weren’t changing after a bit.
Seungri
Tumblr media
He wasn’t having it, it was always him telling you to go put some clothes on and to not dress so “loosely”. You might have to argue him down about why you dress that way a few times before it ever starts to reach his membrane. Seungri always got on you about it but let someone else tell you to cover up and he will go off on them and tell them to let you be a kid and live your life. He is a lovable ass-backwards person. But he was yours.

2006
“What will we do if kids like that join?”
SJ’s face flushes red with fury and Seungri has to physically restrain her from barging in the practice room.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean? ‘Kids like that’. He’s no delight either!” SJ’s voice is a barely contained whisper. “We didn’t do anything no one else wasn’t! How are we to blame for bad editing?”
She scoffs. “Kids like that my ass.”
Seungri puts a hand on her shoulder and squeezes tightly. It’s not meant as reassurance but rather a warning. This isn’t a conversation meant for their ears, so they should leave and just pretend they didn’t hear Taeyang and G Dragon talking badly about them.
“SooJin,”Seungri pulls her from the practice room. “Just drop it, okay?”
“Why should I?”
“Let’s say we make it in. Let’s say we end up in a band with them. What good will it do to carry a grudge over a partially heard conversation?”
Seungri loves SJ. They’ve been thick as thieves since the very first day they met. Sometimes though, she can be the most annoying handful. Her temper flared as quickly as the wind shifts direction and it gets tiresome to constantly talk her down. However, as troublesome as it can get, Seungri also understands he has his own shortcomings she works to even out. She stops him from over explaining situations and he stops her from jumping headfirst in situations out of anger.
“At least there won’t be any misconceptions about friendship,” SJ mutters, starting to pout.
Seungri curses under his breath. “You’re unbelievable! So you’ll suffer with only me as a friend in the band because you’re petty and childish?”
“Yes!”
One Week Later
Seungri’s nerves were already wrecked from not seeing SJ for three days when he happened to walk by the practice room where G Dragon was talking with some friends of his. Part of him knew better than to listen in to the conversation but another part couldn’t help but stop at the sound of his and SJ’s names.
“Why do I have to do it with them? I’ve been practicing with Taeyang for six years, what is this?” G Dragon looked away from his friend only to meet eyes with a flustered, nervous Seungri, one of the objects of his ire. His upper lip curled up in disgust before he turned back to his friend.
“It’s bad enough we’re stuck with that kid, but the girl! She’s a menace! YG brought them to meet the rest of us yesterday and he practically had to force her to greet us properly! Then she had the nerve to keep glaring at us over that kid’s shoulder the whole time! If I ever fall in love with a girl like that just go ahead and kill me.”
Seungri nods, imagining how easy it would be to fill G Dragon’s request right now. SJ’s already being torn to pieces by the media and other trainees for debuting with males (a decision that wasn’t even hers to make anyway). Who is G Dragon to add to all that? Seungri wants to say something, anything in that moment but his nerves are completely shot and he just wants his best friend. So he goes to her.
He goes to her and breaks down crying because this isn’t what he imagined at all when he decided to follow his singing dreams. He didn’t imagine he would debut in a band where the others can’t stand him. He didn’t imagine his only friend in said band would be a loud mouthed, stubborn, opinionated girl only two days older than him. He didn’t imagine it would hurt so much to hear people talk shit about her. He didn’t imagine he would start off hating his leader for being a careless prick. Seungri and SJ are humans after all, not emotionless robots that don’t get hurt when you insult them.
For her part, SJ simply listens. Occasionally she’ll make a sympathetic noise while Seungri spills out all his emotions. She wants to strangle G Dragon with her bare hands for making Seungri feel this way. Who does that ass think he is? This isn’t an ideal situation for any of them but there’s no need to make things worse.
“Where was he?” SJ asks when Seungri’s tears turn to hiccups.
“Practice room.” Seungri scrubs at his eyes with the back of his fist. “SJ, don’t make anything worse. Please.”
“I won’t. You just stay here, okay? Take a nap. You look like you haven’t slept in days.”
“I haven’t. I’ve been worried about all those meetings you’ve been in. Are they still preparing you for the backlash?”
“Yeah, but don’t worry about it. I’ll be back soon.” She kisses the top of his head, giving him a quick smile before marching off to the practice room.
G Dragon isn’t hard to spot, the lanky bastard. He’s sitting in the middle of the floor with Taeyang, Daesung, and the other Seunghyun. They’re smiling and laughing which only makes SJ’s blood boil. How dare they act as if they haven’t done anything? Especially that annoying fucker G Dragon. What kind of name is G Dragon anyway? It’s so pretentious and annoying. Just like him. Maybe it fits after all.
“Hey! You!” SJ grabs the back of G Dragon’s shirt and hauls him up to a standing position. “Who do you think you are?”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me! Who do you think you are making my best friend feel like shit? He’s done nothing to any of you but you treat him like the plague!” SJ wastes no time laying in to him, shoving a finger at his chest.
G Dragon slaps her hand away with a disgusted look. “Do you know who you’re talking to?”
“A dick with an attitude problem!”
“You know your place in this band isn’t definite right?”
“Oh, who cares! Seungri is a good person! He’s talented and hard working and doesn’t deserve the treatment you’re giving him! Either shape up or leave both of us the hell alone!” SJ gives the other three boys a glare, daring any of them to say anything. When they don’t respond she leaves the room, the scent of vanilla perfume hanging in the air.
“She’s going to be a pain in the ass,” Seunghyun says thoughtfully. Normally he hates woman with an attitude but he can admire her desire to protect her friend. G Dragon watches the door in an angry silence before saying, “Let’s get rid of her.”

BIGBANG’s reaction to you dealing with family problems
Anonymous Requested: Hello I hope you're enjoying your holiday :) Can you make a Bigbang reaction about them having to face their girlfriend's family issues (she suffer a lot from that) ?
A/N: Hey darling!! I can relate a lot to this request, so I want you to know you’re not alone!! If you ever need anyone, we’re here for you. I hope you enjoy, xoxo - Admin Ruby
P.S. Taeyang’s reaction was more platonic than romantic, and that’s how we’ll be keeping his requests from now own out of respect !! I hope you all understand ~
Jiyong -
It would bother Jiyong so much to see you struggling with family problems, growing sadder as he watched you crumble under the pressure of your relatives' arguments and problematic decisions. He would want to know everything that was happening so he could offer you his best advice, and so he’d know how to help you. If he had to pull you away from the situation for a while or encourage you to let your family deal with some of their own problems alone, he would, only wanting the best for you.
Tumblr media
Seunghyun -
Initially, getting into your family’s business wouldn’t be something Seunghyun would want to get involved in. It wouldn’t be because he didn’t care, but because he wouldn’t feel it to be his place. He’d still be good at comforting you though, always being a person you could feel safe to express your concerns and worries to without judgment. With the help of his deep, late night, conversations, you’d be able to work out a lot of your emotions and maybe even be able to confront your family’s problems with a clearer mind.
Tumblr media
Daesung -
Daesung would be the most visibly worried about your family’s problems, always asking you how you were feeling about was happening, and if any improvements were being made within your relatives' relationships with each other. If you said no, and your negative emotions were clear in your expression, Daesung would always be there to comfort you in the blink of an eye. He wouldn’t push you to talk about it unless you initiated the conversation, instead focusing on keeping you happy and reminding you that it wasn’t your problem to face alone.
Tumblr media
Youngbae -
Youngbae, when confronted with your family problems, would be a good mix of Seunghyun and Daesung. He wouldn’t get too involved with what was happening, simply out of respect, but he’d worry a lot too and always make sure to check in on you. He’d be a great person to come to for advice, having level-headed suggestions and recommendations for not only working out the problems but also helping you get out of the unhealthy mindset of focusing on them all the time.
