hi<3 if you can, can you do valeria and laswell with a gothic s/o? like someone who likes darker/morbid things and things like that! love your blog by the way! it’s definitely my favorite blog to come look at after a long ass day <333
Hey there! Sorry, but I couldn't really find too much on what counts as dark and morbid in the goth scene, so I wrote more general HCs, I hope that's alright still ^^;
Valeria and Laswell with a Gothic!S/O
Valeria: She’d most definitely be intrigued, but not too much. In all honesty, she doesn’t know too much about the subculture, she’s never really met a goth who was clearly one. However, if it makes you happy, that’s all that matters to her. While she won’t really know too many bands, or any at all, she’d be more than happy to listen to a few if you want her to. Yes, she won’t always have the time, but when she isn’t too busy she could put on some songs by Joy Division or The Cure, she really doesn’t mind. She can vibe to that sort of music, even if it isn’t her favorite. You’re more than welcome to discuss the literature with her, though. She’s probably never read a single gothic literature book, but she can buy you some. Anything from poetry to a regular novel, it’s quite alright. While she won’t be the best person to go to when it comes to discussing those, she’ll support you either way. However, something she could definitely enjoy would be going clothes shopping with you. The fashion is kind of nice, she has to admit, so she’d be more than happy to buy you whatever garments you desire. Will go out of her way to find something you might like as well. I can’t see her being too much into the history of goth culture, though. It’s nice that you are a goth, if you want to tell her about it, then you can and she’ll listen to you, but she likely doesn’t have the time to research everything by herself. Tell her about its roots and she can definitely appreciate you going against what’s mainstream and how it all came to be. She’s a very defiant and rebellious woman herself, so she definitely gets it.
Laswell: She knows so many people, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has worked with goths before. And even if she hasn’t directly, she’s likely seen quite a few walking around the city. She usually grows worried for them in summer since their attire is black, which makes it quite hot. However, she’d be very intrigued by you and your subculture. It’s something very near and dear to you, so she would put in the effort to learn about your history. Will give some classic bands a listen as well. She just really wants to have something to talk about with you. Besides, she gets to learn more about you. While she may not be the biggest fan of your interest in death, considering she’s surrounded by it more often than not, she’d be more than happy to indulge anything else it has to offer. Laswell spent a good chunk of life left alone with her thoughts, so she definitely knows a thing or two about melancholy, the state of the world and introspection. Maybe not in the same way you do, but she can definitely keep up in a conversation. She’s likely also unintentionally read some of the more popular gothic novels out there and liked them, so she’d make for a good discussion partner as well. While she doesn’t particularly understand the need to make your face completely white, she doesn’t mind. In fact, she thinks it looks quite cool, even if it’s not for her. However, the fashion in and of itself looks really good to her. Again, she wouldn’t want to wear it, but something about Victorian and Edwardian fashion has a certain something to it that she can’t quite place. Like Valeria, she’ll definitely buy you things she thinks you might like. Anything from a suit or a corset to a book about poetry. Beware, though, she will read the books before you can.

How do the girlies react to Goncharov? (Movie or Meme, the choice is yours)
The Goncharov Meme;
S1 Tecna: Making up a movie is completely and utterly illogical. Why on any planet would someone just decide to lie for no reason—
S3 Tecna, stumbling into her dorm room: MUSA IM MAKING A GONCHAROV DELETED SCENES REEL AND I NEED MUSIC FOR IT. CAN YOU HELP ME?!
Yeah Tecna either competely doesn't understand the meme or she's beyond invested in the nonsense and having the time of her fucking life making shit up about a movie that doesn't exist for no reason. In her defence, she gets really bored in class, and Goncharov posting is hella amusing
Katya is her favorite character
As for the other girls, they don't care as much
Stella finds it to be really funny, and makes a post saying that she was an extra in the movie, because she can
Bloom is absolutely in love with all the fake posters and fanart. Seriously its so beautiful, and so thematic. She is going through the tag, enjoying all the arts
Musa would find it a little amusing, randomly decide to make a fake utterly absurd discourse post about Goncharov, and Aisha would immediately respond with her own absurd take, and now they're having a fake argument about Ice Pick Joe and having a fucking ball doing it
Flora thinks the meme is neat and then puts her phone down. That's enough technology for today
The Goncharov Movie;
The movie however, yeah no, most of them are not interested
It's a Mafia movie and that doesn't appeal to most of them
Stella just wouldn't have the patience for the slow build and tension, Bloom is weirdly squeamish about violence and doesn't like how bloody everything is, and Tecna is NOT interested in this dull primitive shit. Tecna either watches dry documentaries or bad shit insane anime, and there is NO in between
Aisha would think the movie is good, but still not be super interested in it. Slow paced crime dramas are not her thing, she prefers things that are more action packed, but she does have the patience to sit though it and enjoy the movie for what it is. Also the themes in the movie about running out of time and hiding your true self hit a little too close to home for her, and she doesn't enjoy thinking about that, thank you very much
Flora and Musa are the ones who actually like the movie
I feel like Flora is a personal who would really enjoy a subtle slow paced story with a lot of themes and symbolism and ideas to really pick apart and rotate around in her brain long after she finishes the movie. If you get talking about the meaning and usages of the cigarettes, clocks, and colors symbolism she will literally never shut up about it
Musa on the other hand is just a sucker for a good tragedy, and Goncharov is a AMAZING one. Katya choice and betrayal gets her literally every single time. Like...she will never get over the boat scene, ever, she loves it. And when Katya and Sofia talked outside after the club scene and Katya is debating what she truly wants in life and Sofia accidentally encourages her to fake her own death? She's screaming. Katya ending, where all her plans succeed in the most monkey paws way imaginable has her by the heart, ok? She just, really likes a good tragedy lol

Haikyuu Boys and the moment they thought their child came from satan
Characters: Akaashi, Washio, Konoha, Kita, Suna, Ushijima, Yahaba, Iwaizumi, Futakuchi, Daishou, Numai and Iizuna
Warnings: Children, children can be cruel- please proceed with caution, the guys being called not-nice-things cause kids are (albeit cute) incarnates of satan. I say this with love, and yes I have trauma, mentions of injuries, nerf guns and shooting someone with them, pushing someone down the stairs
Akaashi Keiji:
When your son was first born, he was very much a parents-only child. He didn’t like to be held by strangers, which were anyone not his parents.
But there was one exception to that rule, and that was Bokuto.
Which was good because even as an adult I don’t think Bokuto could handle being rejected by little Akaashi.
As he got older, he slowly warmed up to more people, but he was still very shy everywhere not home.
Bokuto had been visiting for the weekend, wanting to come see his friend and his family!
Bokuto had left that morning, and your son was still not happy. He really wasn’t a difficult kid, but this weekend had been a long and active one, so he was very tired.
And seeing as he was indeed Akaashi’s son, he was also very blunt.
“Come on buddy, let’s go take a nap. I know you’re tired.” Akaashi tried to coax his son to come with him, eye brows furrowing when his son shook his head and refused.
“Why not?” his son pouted as he looked up to his father.
“Cause I want uncle bokuto…” Akaashi frowned as he kneeled in front of his son, “I know, but he’ll be back to visit soon.”
His son shook his head, “No, I want him now, I want him to tuck me in.” One of Akaashi’s eyebrows rose, his head tilting to the side abit, “Why Uncle Bokuto? Why not daddy?”
His son sighed, “Because I don’t like you, I like Uncle Bokuto.” Before he trudged off towards his room, dragging his blue blanket behind him, leaving Akaashi speechless and betrayed.
You wasted no time in assuring Akaashi that ‘he didn’t mean it!’ and that ‘he probably won’t even remember it when he wakes up’. But that didn’t do much to sooth the seething pain of your first born betraying you✌😔
Washio Tatsuki:
Washio was outside with the kids, watching over them while they played.
You were inside, talking on the phone with your mom and sipping a cup of tea/coffee.
You were flipping through a magazine, laughing at a memory your mom had brought up, when the front door burst open.
Turning around, the smile on your face dropped when you saw Washio holding your youngest (3 yr old son), who was balling his eyes out.
Apologizing to your mom you stood up from the couch, immediately walking over to them.
“What happened?? Did he get hurt?” Washio sighed as he gently handed him off to you, running a hand through his hair as he shook his head.
“I don’t know, he won’t tell me. All I know is he’s scared, but he won’t tell me what scared him.”
You frowned as you held your little boy, cradling his head against your chest as you slowly rocked back and forth, whispering words of comfort into his ear and kissing the crown of his head.
Eventually, he stopped crying, he was still a bit sniffly and had a few hiccups, but he had settled down quite a bit.
You sat down on the couch with him on your lap, Washio standing after he had brought the twins in as well.
“Wanna tell me what scared you baby?”
Your little boy looked at you, slate gray eyes shimmering with tears as he wiped his cheek before turning to look up at your husband.
He pointed a little finger, “Daddy, daddy’s scary.” He then proceeded to dive back into you, head snuggling into your neck.
You quickly looked up to see your husband's eyes widen as his jaw dropped, looking down to your son in complete and utter disbelief.
It broke your heart the way he clung to you that night, head buried in your chest as he quietly asked if he was a good father, conclusion: kids can be cruel…
Please don’t hate me, i guarantee this hurt me more than it hurt you
Konoha Akinori:
You had brought out old videos from Konoha and yours high school years, wanting to show them to your kids since they were curious. And you and Konoha had wanted to trip down memory lane anyway.
You had chosen a game of Fukurodani vs Nekoma, since those were always good ones.
Your kids were more than entertained to watch it, since dad had long hair?!?!?
They also liked seeing some familiar faces, like Komi and Saru and others obviously.
But one of your children found a specific moment a little...too funny.
It had been a rough match, and a close one as Konoha had remembered it. Akaashi had been subbed out after a ball caught his nail, Washio had very minorly twisted his ankle, and Bokuto had already gone through 2 emo modes, the 3rd not far away.
Konoha had been getting over a cold, he was no longer sick but he wasn’t at 100% yet, so he wasn’t completely in it.
Not to mention he had to make up for the absence of both Akaashi AND Washio.
It was half way through the second set, he was in the back and Yamamoto was up to spike, only Konoha wasn’t expecting Yamamoto not to hit and instead for Kuroo to come up from the back, meaning the ball his Konoha right in the face, knocking him down on his butt.
You all kinda laughed at that part, I mean, who wouldn’t? (don’t lie-)
But what you didn’t expect was a full on demonic cackle coming from your 3 year old who was sat in between you and your husband.
It wasn’t a chuckle, or even a laugh, IT DIDN’T EVEN SOUND LIKE YOUR 3 YEAR OLD!!
It was...unsettling, and when she bounced back not 2 minutes later, you snuck a glance over to your husband, who was slowly scooting away.
Kita Shinsuke:
Kita came in from the fields, closing the door and slipping off his shoes, stretching his hands above his head as he groaned.
He smiled when he heard little foot steps echoing through out the hallway, watching as his little girl ran towards him and into his arms.
He smiled wider when you walked out of the nursery, little baby in your arms as you came up to him and gave him a kiss.
Time skip to dinner that night, all 4 of you are sat at the dinner table.
Kita is sat at his usual spot on the end, you sitting to his right as his daughter sat to his left, you feeding the baby.
He put down his fork to rub his neck, fingers trying to work out the knots that had formed over the past few days.
“You know, granny and I are going to get massages this weekend, why don’t you join us? Gin said he’d be willing to watch the kids.” Kita smiled towards you as he nodded.
“That’d probably be a good idea, thanks honey”
You nodded as you continued to feed your youngest, sending silly faces and smiling at her little giggles.
Kita was about to continue eating when his oldest daughter asked him a question.
“Hey daddy? Why do you need a mass-age.” He chuckled at the way his daughter said massage, going back to eating.
“I’m goin’ cause my neck is sore sweetheart, it’s just from work, nothin’ to worry bout.”
Your daughter nodded, returning her attention to her plate as well.
“So, basically, daddy’s just really, really old.”
You turned away so your husband wouldn’t see your smile, and it worked until you snorted and started laughing.
His small glare towards you only making you laugh harder.
“It’s not bad daddy, you’re just really old, but s’okay, I still love you.”
He shook his head, eating the rest of his dinner with a pout as your daughter carried on like nothing happened and you explained why she shouldn’t say those things.
Suna Rintaro:
Suna was sat on the couch with his oldest son and daughter, watching a movie.
Obviously it wasn’t scary or inappropriate for children, I mean, it was a kids movie. But he had to admit, this one was cutting it a little close.
He would have turned it off but...it really wasn’t that bad and the kids were sitting quietly and watching it, so he figured it’d be okay.
His kids weren’t exactly squeamish, and they didn’t scare easy, but they were also only 8 and 6, so he wasn’t going to risk it.
He also didn’t want to risk it with you, he had a comfy bed and he’d prefer to continue to sleep in it😊
Sometime after the half way point of the movie, a scene came up that was questionably violent for a kids movie. There wasn’t any gore or anything, but it wasn’t a clean death either.
He reached for the remote to change it when his kids started giggling.
Not like uncomfortable awkward chuckles, I mean real and sincere laughter...AND SOME DUDE HAD JUST DIED?!?!?!
Suna texted you with a ‘please help, our children are demons’ as he tried to return his focus to the movie and not his snickering children.
Ushijima Wakatoshi:
Ushijima had just picked 3 of his kids up from school, and was taking them home.
His 2 oldests were talking to each other about school while his youngest (of the 3, not in all), just sat quietly and listened to the radio.
His oldest had asked about his day, and Ushijima told him all about his practice and the practice games they played.
The 2 oldests were entranced, and loved hearing about the sport, his middlest however did not.
It’s not like he hated the sport, but it wasn’t really for him. He much preferred martial arts to volleyball, which was fine with Ushijima, at least his son was happy!
Anyway, Ushijima and his 2 oldests started to talk all about volleyball, the middlest looking confused.
“Wait, why is it like that?” Ushijima peaked in the rearview mirror, “It’s the rules, like how there are rules in Jujitsu.”
Your middlest turned towards the window, “Yeah, but Jujitsu is cool, volleyball sucks.”
Ushijima almost crashed, and it wasn’t long before he got home, pulled into the drive way, parked, and turned to face his middlest with a face that said ‘where did I go wrong…?’
His son just turned to face him, “What?” Ushijima shook his head, turned off the car and headed inside.
When he got inside and walked past you, all you heard was him muttering ‘no child of mine will say that about…’ as he headed straight for the bedroom to lie down.
Yahaba Shigeru:
Yahaba was walking around the living room, sorting through the mail as he separated bills and important things from junk mail.
He had been working in his office all day, doing paper work and what not, and right now he had his ear buds in since he was technically in a work meeting. (muted with the camera off cause how else do you do things virtual?)
So he was completely unsuspecting of his two sons as they snuck up behind him, both holding nerf guns in their hands as they crept closer and closer.
Yahaba had paused, slipping his phone out of his pocket as he started to talk to his coworkers about something when all of a sudden the unmistakable whirring of the automatic nerf gun started.
Before he could even turn around his sons had open fired right on their dad, Yahaba yelping as he started to run, grabbing a pillow from the couch as he fumbled with his phone, desperately trying to mute himself between being pelted with nerf bullets.
“ACK- hEy! You two! Quit it!-” He had made himself a shield out of the couch cushions, finally getting his phone and apologizing to his giggling coworkers, he wasn’t in trouble obviously, the distraction and entertainment was a gift to them all.
The meeting then finally ended, and Yahaba turned to find his sons searching for bullets, him shaking his head as he walked towards them.
“Nice try boys, but I collected the bullets as you shot me, so there’ll be no more of that.” His youngest shrugged as he then decided to instead throw the toy at Yahaba, his oldest then hitting him with it as he shrieked and made his way to the master bedroom.
Iwaizumi Hajime:
You and Iwaizumi had 3 boys.
3 boys who were close in age and high in energy, never a great combo when they’re stuck indoors because of the rain.
You had been taking a nap due to a weather-related head ache, while Iwaizumi did some work from home.
He had heard some questionable sounds coming from the basement, but he didn’t pay them any mind, figuring they were just being kids.
That is until he heard a distinct ‘ow!’ from his middlest.
Walking down the stairs he could hear his youngest chanting something like ‘fight! Fight! Fight!’ which obviously made him move faster.
He rounded the corner to see his oldest and middlest in the middle of a circle, each with one of his boxing gloves on as they circled each other.
“The heck are you guys doing??” They all turned to face him, that was when he noticed they had drawn on themselves to, what he guessed, look like pro-wrestlers, the basement was also a mess.
“Having a cage match, it’s 2 for 2 so far, this round decides the world-class-gladiator-basement-fight-to-the-death match, and the loser gets sacrificed.”
He almost let it go as his boys were being normal boys, until the last part hit him.
“Wait- what?! Sacrificed to who?!” His son giggled, “I don’t know, it’s only pretend, daddy.” Deciding he could no longer bear their empty stares he made them clean up the basement before spending the next 1 ½ hours cleaning off marker.
Futakuchi Kenji:
You guys had taken your 3 girls to the park to have a play-date/picnic with Aone and his wife/kids.
You were sitting and chatting away with his wife, while Aone and Futakuchi talked about their high school days, Aone gladly telling Futakuchi’s embarrassing moments.
Your youngest daughter was 3, and so far it has proven to be the worst of any age they had experienced yet.
Or rather...he had experienced yet.
For you, she was a perfect little angel, sweet and giggly, super cuddly and very much a momma’s girl.
But towards her daddy? She held nothing but malice. She would often smack him and run away to you giggling, or scrunch her nose up at him when he tried to get a hug or kiss.
You guys didn’t know what brought on this sudden hatred, but you were sure it would pass someday.
Your baby girl had waddled up to the picnic blanket and plopped herself down on your lap, playing with some nearby grass as the more adults continued to talk.
Deciding to try his luck, Futakuchi got the attention of your daughter.
“Hey, why don’t you come sit in Daddy’s lap.”
Your daughter turned towards him and shook her head, “No.”
Futakuchi pouted, “Why not?” Your little girl huffed as she only turned her head this time.
“Because I don’t even like you dada.” She then plopped her head back down on your chest while you and Mrs. Aone started laughing and Futakuchi’s face showed only pain.
“hEy! I helped make you, the least you can show me is some gratitude!” Your youngest only stuck her tongue out at him, causing an audible chuckle out of Aone and more pain for Futakuchi.
Daishou Suguru:
When you and Daishou had your first child, your daughter, you never had a hard time getting her to sleep.
But for some reason, lately she had been getting out of her bed in the middle of the night, with seemingly no reason.
Now, don’t get me wrong. Daishou loves his little girl.
But sometimes...kids can be creepy, and yours were no different.
When she woke up at these awful hours of the night, she’d just go to you guys’ room and...stand there...she wouldn’t say anything, just stand there with her teddy bear in one arm and the other hanging limply at her side.
It was almost 3 am, so naturally Daishou had long since been asleep.
He had just rolled over to the edge of the bed to grab some water when he almost screamed.
Standing right there was his daughter, just standing there, watching him.
He sat up, rubbing his eyes as he took a deep breath.
“I- go back to sleep, it’s late.” Your daughter just nodded, turned around, and walked out of your room and back into her own.
Heart still beating out of his chest he got his sip of water, laid back down and tried to go to sleep, which proved difficult with the blank stare of his child still stuck in his mind.
Numai Kazuma:
You, Numai, and your 4 children had taken a road trip as your big summer vacation.
Currently, you were all driving through this cute little town on the out skirts of one of the cities.
Two of your boys were sleeping, one reading his picture book, and your youngest and only girl was looking out the window.
You had taken a turn driving while Numai had taken a small nap, although he had woken up a little bit ago.
You guys had gotten to the outskirts of this small town, and were coming up on a cemetery.
Your daughter was 4, so she knew what a cemetery was. You guys weren’t too worried, she had grown up with 3 older brothers so things like bugs or ghost stories never really bothered her too much.
You and Numai had started talking to each other when you heard your daughter speak up.
“Hey mommy, hey daddy,” You took a peak into the rear-view mirror, your husband turning to look at his daughter.
“Yeah baby? What is it?” Your husband asked as he smiled towards his little girl.
Smiling, she turned towards the window and pointed to the cemetery.
“That’s where all the dead people are.”
Numai blinked as he just nodded and turned back around in his seat, slumping down as his eyes held a certain ‘deer in headlights’ look, slowly turning to see you as he pointed towards your daughter than to you.
“That came from your genes, not mine-” He winced when you slapped his arm, shaking your head as you too tried to erase the utter creepiness you were feeling after that.
Iizuna Tsukasa:
Iizuna yawned as he walked out of the master bedroom, having just woken up from a 3 hour nap.
Today had been a particularly intense game, which they had won, but had left him exhausted.
You were downstairs in the bathroom, working on washing the magic-marker your other children had put there off of your 10 month old baby while your 2 oldests were upstairs in time out where you left them.
Iizuna walked through the hallway, smiling as he heard his two oldests talking and playing. Or at least, it sounded like they were playing.
Recently, your oldest, your daughter who’s barely 4 and your son who just turned 2 had been bickering all the time, fighting over toys and had resorted to pinching.
When you had caught them and put them in time out, Iizuna was dead asleep, so he didn’t know his kids were supposed to be in timeout, and at the ages they were at it wasn’t unusual to see them play together.
Turning the corner his smile dropped as he sprinted towards his kids, watching in horror as his oldest pushed the middlest down the stairs, simply watching as her brother tumbled as Iizuna lost 10 years of his life.
Quickly scolding his daughter he ran down the stairs and carefully grabbed your son, who thankfully had no injuries, heart beating out of his chest as he sighed.
You, having heard tumbles and then tears, speedily rounded the corner with your now marker-free child in your arms.
It was safe to say neither of you knew how to respond to that, your oldest simply waving from the top of the stairs as Iizuna now has a significant amount of trauma.

Corren - 1 through 100 - You did this to yourself.
FUCK YOU *UN-IRONICS YOUR ASK*
UNDER THE FUCKING CUT
1. What do they smell like?
Bad. Do you think their party is able to regularly take showers? I thinketh the fuck not. ... Pine and old books when he can self care tho.
2. What is their voice like?
Listen I know Corren, being taller, would be more likely to have a deeper register but you'll tear "tenor Corren" out of my cold dead hands
3. What is their biggest motivator?
Spite.
4. What is their most embarrassing memory?
When he first met his BFF Alondra, he was so antisocial and good at ignoring people that she actually got the impression he might have been hard of hearing. She never let him live that down. (one day I'll finish this fic i promise)
5. How do they deal with/react to pain?
"I will keep all of my pain in here, and one day I'll die." ... Okay but listen he's squishy so he takes like one hit and is bloodied up. Someone get him a healer. Pls.
6. What do they like to wear?
He likes his cloak. Its weighty and soft(well. WAS soft. got a bit of wear and tear these days.) and like. Who doesnt love cloaks.
7. Which of their relationships have impacted them most positively?
Ohhhhh fuuuccck this one's tough. I might have to go with Torvid honestly. While the entire party has had a positive impact on him(and trust me I was this close to picking Alistair), Torvid's been more of the one to call him out on his bullshit and to, oh I don't know, talk about your emotions? Ever??? Yknow BEFORE they become too much to handle and he absolutely breaks down???
8. What’s the weirdest thing they’ve ever eaten?
Alistair's cooking.
9. Describe the way that they sleep.
Good luck finding him NOT cuddled up with at least one dog. Tbh he just enjoys cuddles in general.
10. What is their favorite food/kind of food?
FUCKIN. GIVE HIM A GOOD STEAK. THIS BOY IS MOSTLY CARNIVORISTIC.
11. What do they feel most insecure about?
As tempted as I am to say "His cooking", it's actually his singing.
12. How do they like to dress?
"Comfort over flashiness tbh. I gotta go ADVENTURING in whatever I wear after all."
"... Also don't you DARE perceive me as cishet."
13. How do they react to feelings of guilt?
Call him a genie because he will BOTTLE THAT SHIT UP.
14. How do they react to/deal with betrayal?
Denial :D
15. What is their greatest achievement?
Shrike: Killing his dad
Me: NOOOOOO
EDIT: WAIT THIS WAS ANSWERED IN Q99 WHAT THE HECK
16. What are they like when they’ve gotten too little sleep?
Somehow more of a dick than usual. Snappy and cranky and just. Mrehhh.
17. What are they like when they’re drunk?
Doesn't get drunk often, but when he does I imagine he's actually giggly and a little clingy. It's cute :)
18. What kind of music do they enjoy?
*Opens my Corren playlist* Oh yeah. It's either full edgy alt rock or indie alt "depressed millenial" tracks.
19. Are they right or left handed?
FFFuuhhhhck uhhhh well
Looking over my old art I can't seem to pick a dominant hand(I've even drawn him handling his sniper with either hand???????????) so like oops guess he's ambidextrous.
20. Fears?
The dark, the ocean, dying alone and forgotten, his friends losing their trust of him
21. Favorite kind of weather?
Rain!!!! Especially cool rain like what people often get in fall months.
22. Favorite color?
Indigo!!!
23. Do they collect anything?
Books :3
24. Do they prefer either hot or cold weather more?
Cold weather by far.
25. What is their eye color?
Electric blue!
26. What is their race/ethnicity?
Well his race is a homebrew race known as Marelienth. Uhhh ethnicity? Idk he's from a mountain town way up north *shrugs*
In human aus I imagine him as half-Mongolian half-Norwegian so ayee
27. Hair color?
Black!
28. Are they happy where they are currently?
No :D He loves adventuring with his party don't get me wrong but he still has a lot of trauma to unpack. ... Also he was just possibly broken up with soooo. :/
29. Are they a morning person?
NOPE.
30. Sunrise or sunset?
*motions to above question* Sunset.
31. Are they more messy or more organized?
More organized, actually!
32. Pet peeves?
*unravels a list. It's all shit the party has done. Mostly Alistair.*
33. Do they own any objects of significant personal importance?
HOOUSIDSJFK- HE- Y-YEAH HE SURE DOES
His amethyst pendant used to belong to his brother, Julian, and he gave it to Corren right before they were separated so you BET it's sentimental as shit and he wears it daily.
34. Least favorite food?
Mecha's usually a great cook but one time trolled him with some absurdly spicy curry he couldn't handle and he's never forgiven them.
35. Least favorite color?
Hmmm. Maybe... yellow?
36. Least favorite smell?
He spent a year with his party in a damp cave and no showers, so uh. I'll give you a guess.
37. When was the last time they cried?
Literally last night in our game's timeline :D Full breakdown and everything!
38. Were they with anybody the last time they cried?
Torvid :D He was there to comfort
39. Tell us about one of the times they got injured?
One time they were in combat and Corren took a few hits and was down to about 2hp or so. He had a temporary level thanks to Kieran, which boosted his HP a little bit. When he teleported them to a safe town, though, well... Torvid was waiting for them so that's cool. But uh. The Last Night Part XII
(Author’s Notes: Sup guys! I hope you had a fantastic Fourth of July (for the American readers) and celebrated safely. If you are not American, I hope you had a fantastic weekend! Thank you for your patience while I worked through some writer’s block. I think I’m getting back into a swing though. I started reading a book that is set in the Edwardian period and it has helped me find the dialect and voice that I started with. I’ve been reading a lot of contemporary literature as of late and I think it’s influenced my writing a little, which is fine, but I’m fighting to remain consistent. I’m working on a novel of my own and it’s also based in the Edwardian period, but in a fantasy world, and I’ve been struggling to stay in the same dialect with that too. Anyhoo... I’m rambling... here is part 12. I hope that you enjoy it. Please hit the like, reblog, leave me a comment to cry happily over, and follow along for updates. Be safe! Be kind! Stay healthy.)
Here is Part I
Here is Part II
Here is Part III

Part XII
The following morning, James was settled in a wing chair in the game room, nominally enthralled by a short collection of poetry by Keats. It’d been a comfort to read Keats’ poetry when he would be feeling out of sorts. Perhaps because his father insisted on reading it to him as a child before bed. It seemed even in his adolescent and young adulthood, after weeks of sleepless nights cramming for examinations, going through drills during the day, and shivering through countless patrols in the chilly streets of London, he always enjoyed dozing in the warmth of a well-made fire, with Keats’ heart bleeding through the pages of his collection.
This naturally led to his considering what Keats would do in a situation like his. As his mind wandered into his thoughts, he was aware of the scent of late-blooming climbing rose coming in the window on a puff of air and he noted that the scent might have prompted the thought and he wondered whether Matthew would still be Matthew if he smelled of diesel and boot polish instead of bay rum, and what Cordelia, who smelled of roses and lime blossom to him, would be doing at this time of the day if she weren’t lying in her sick bed.
A swift clatter of boots on the stairs heralded Matthew’s arrival, and he closed the book, without the relief he’d been searching for, for even Keats couldn’t keep his mind from wandering.
“The Silent Brothers have gone,” said Matthew, his tone composed with his usual preferred demeanor of bored indifference.
“Gone where?” asked James.
“Back to the Citadel, I’m assuming,” said Matthew. He tugged at his starched shirt collar, and James could see he was warm with sweat about the neck, as if he had run all the way here. “Brother Zachariah remains and another, but I cannot recall his name, they all look the same to me.”
“Any word on Cordelia or Alastair?”
“Unfortunately not and the adults want a word with us in the dining room post haste. I assume they want a detailed description of our knowledge concerning the events of the night.” Matthew slumped in the other wing chair and covered his face with his arm. “
“Well, that’s certainly a blow to my afternoon plans,” said James, keeping his tone light in the hope that he could convince his parents and friends that he was calm enough to stand outside the bedroom that Cordelia had been moved into. They moved her in the night while he slept and no one would tell him the location due to his sudden outbursts. “If the other Brothers have left, that’s surely a good sign that Cordelia and Alastair are healing and are no longer in need of their attention.”
“It’s possible,” said Matthew from under his sleeve. “My parents are here, as are Kit’s and Thomas’s.” He groaned and added, “Charles insisted on coming as well. My life is over.”
James cursed. “What does he want?”
“‘To get to the bottom of this most unfortunate disaster’,” said Matthew, “his words, not mine. He’ll insist on lecturing us about how insubordinate we’ve all been, and how, seeing as we are underage, we have no business going out after the Carstairs siblings without briefing the adults with the situation first. He’ll make me file his paperwork for a month.”
“You’re being a bit dramatic,” said James.
Even as James spoke he felt the hypocrisy of offering comfort instead of truth. But what truth could he speak to his parabatai? Remembering the whispered conversations between his own parents after James had returned from near death by demon poisoning, James knew with a sinking feeling that his own investigation towards his grandfather would need to be done in absolute secrecy.
“Charles has been wanting to get me behind a desk since we were children,” said Matthew. “My mother will surely not object now that Shadowhunters are being plucked from their carriages in the streets.”
“Well, lucky for Charles, you’ve the best penmanship of all of us,” said James.
“So glad to hear that your humor has returned,”groaned Matthew, hanging his head so that his face was hidden beneath the fall of his hair. “Even if it is at my expense.”
“Pull yourself together, Math,” said James. He stood and tugged the edges of his jacket down as if to reinforce his words. “It will not serve to allow the entire household to hear such agitation. We have faced our parent’s fury before, this will be no different, I’m sure.” There was a pause, and James gazed out the window to allow Matthew a moment to compose himself. While he envied Matthew’s free and easy, passionate nature, his capacity for intense friendships, he always felt squeamish in the face of Matthew’s occasional display of emotion. He was accustomed to his own emotional outburst and Matthew insisting on James to calm down.
“You are right, of course,” said Matthew at last. He pulled a large silk handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed his forehead. “Good to see you back to your more rational nature.”
“Thank you,” said James, fully aware that Matthew did not altogether mean it as a compliment. It was hardly fair that Matthew should provoke him into a purse-lipped rigidity and then insult him for it, but James’s first concern was to protect his friend from his own self-indulgence. “Now why don’t we make a suitable plan?” he added. “I’ve learned long ago that it’s best to just nod in the presence of angered adults.”
Matthew nodded as if to show his ability to follow direction. “Perhaps we should share what we know about Belial.”
“I think not,” said James. “My parent’s have already made it quite clear that they don’t want us involved in the investigation any further. We will have to continue it without their knowing.”
“Are you sure that’s wise?” said Matthew. “He nearly possessed you and tried to kill Cordelia twice.”
“Which is why we must continue the investigation on how to properly kill him because it can be sure that he will not stop until he has what he wants,” said James. “There has to be a way to kill him properly.”
“I hope it’s something obvious,” said Matthew, “like spritzing him with water or feeding him chocolate.”
A sound of voices in the hallway outside the game room was followed by a light knocking on the door and Thomas’s voice saying, “Of course I’ve forgotten the secret knock, it was far too complex to begin with.”
“They’re here to fetch us,” said Matthew urgently. James noticed that he did have a strange, pale look about his face, but perhaps, he thought, this was the properly deserved effect of too much rough cider.
“By the angel, it’s only Christopher and Thomas,” he said. “You and Thomas can look pale and interesting together. Of course, he’s only just lost his sister. Perhaps his situation will help your sense of perspective.”
“Your sarcasm lacks the delicacy that would render it amusing,” said Matthew. “But thank you for your reason. Your permanent frown always brings me to my senses.”
“I do not have a permanent frown,” said James. He took a brief look into the mirror over the mantle and consciously adjusted his features to a half smile, which only seemed to make him look as if he were in pain.
“Hello gentleman,” said Matthew,  “do come in. It’s mercifully clear of authority in here.”
Christopher and Thomas came through the door, and James found himself slightly relieved that they were alone. Both of them were neatly dressed in tweed trousers, buttoned up shirts with suspenders. Christophers glasses rested on the end of his nose while Thomas' shirt strained heavily around the illustrious girth of his arms. Neither of them seemed to wear any hint of the previous night’s grievances.
“Welcome,” he said. “Is it time then?”
“Just about,” said Thomas and folded his arms across his chest. “I’ve only just arrived with mum and dad and only convinced Christopher’s parents to allow him to leave their side by promising that we were only going as far as to fetch the two of you.”
“It’s already begun,” Matthew blurted out. “Behold men, your last minutes of freedom.”
“What’s he on about?” asked Thomas.
“Pay him no mind,” said James. “He’s consumed with the notion that due to the events of the last few nights our parents are going to handcuff us to desks until we come of age.”
“My mother suggested it,” said Christopher, “but I think my father has made progress against the idea.”
“See,” said James, gesturing to Christopher. “If my aunt Cecily can be brought to sense then so will your parents. Let’s just do what they ask of us and resume our investigation without their knowledge.”
“So not much different from what we’ve been doing for the past seventeen years?” said Matthew, shooting James a look. James could only roll his eyes as Christopher and Thomas drifted to the two wing chairs, where they sat and continued, for some minutes, to turn over the circumstances of the secret Belial investigation in a low and urgent manner.
“Any word on Cordelia and Alastair?” asked James.
Thomas nose flared as he met James’s gaze with an expression of frankness. “No,” he said. “Not that I’ve heard.”
James leaned against the wall and felt an echo of the agony that he had felt the night before and had to quell an urge to run out of the room and demand that someone give him information on the state of his fiance, seeing as far as everyone knew they were still engaged.
“I overheard our mother’s talking,” said Christopher to Matthew. “Alastair woke for a moment last night and was able to communicate with the Silent Brothers, but he is instructed to rest without visitors so that the injuries to his brain can continue to heal.” Matthew grumbled something under his breath. “Cordelia has been placed into an induced coma that she is unable to wake up from on her own. When her injuries have had some time to heal they’ll attempt to wake her up. The good news however is that the cure for her demon poisoning has allowed the runes to take a more immediate effect so she is healing.”
Christopher offered James a reassuring smile, which he appreciated more than he could properly express.
“Forget being tied to a desk,” muttered Matthew. “My mother will probably request having me put into an induced coma instead.”
Tessa Gray sat in the plush velvet couch in the front drawing room with her legs crossed at the ankles and her husband’s hand gently pressed against her shoulder while he sipped brandy from a glass tumbler in his free hand. Aunt Cecily was seated in a wing chair beside the fire with her husband Gabriel a respectful six feet away from Will. Aunt Sophie sat at the other end of the couch with Tessa, her hand held softly in the clutches of Gideon, both of them still carrying the misery of the loss of their eldest daughter Barbara. Charlotte Fairchild stood behind her husband’s wheelchair and beside her eldest son Charles. James knocked on the door and went in followed by Matthew, Christopher, and Thomas.
“Gentlemen,” said Will. “I hope that you all slept well and are prepared for punishment and ridicule.”
“William,” warned Tessa. “We simply want you to recount your details from the night the Carstair’s were attacked.
Matthew shifted beside James.
It had only just occurred to him that he hadn’t seen Lucie since they arrived at the Institute with Cordelia and she wasn’t in the room now. “Where is Lucie? She would have more to tell than any of us would.”
“Lucie has already recounted her experience,” said Tessa, one eyebrow raised. “She’s resting now. It’s the four of you that we wish to speak to now.”
“We are enacting an investigation on this prince of hell Belial,” said Charles, as he moved forward into the center of the room. “If we’re to be successful in locating him and effectively killing him then we need all of the information that you have concerning him.”
“I’ve already told my parents everything that I know about Belial,” said James. Both Will and Tessa turned him a look. James exhaled and began his recount of his experiences with Belial.
“And you believe Belial to be the one to have taken Miss Carstairs?” asked Charles when James was finished.
“I never saw him myself,” said James. “That would be a question for Lucie.”
“She claimed not to have seen him either,” said Charles, removing a pocket watch and checking the time before slipping it back into his trousers. “She said that she found Cordelia in the fog badly injured. She said that she lost you, but once the fog rolled away, you appeared again. Is this not the truth?”
James wasn’t sure what would compel his sister to lie about the events of Cordelia’s rescue, but he had to assume that there was a good reason and one that he would explore later when he could speak to his sister himself.
“It’s the truth,” said James. “As I told you before Lucie disappeared into the fog and I ran after her. We lost each other for some time, and when the fog moved off, she was there again with Cordelia.”
Charles stroked his chin. “It’s been unanimously agreed upon that the four of you, including Lucie and Anna, will be restricted to local patrols during daylight hours and are to report in detail any and all demon activity. If you so choose to break your restrictions then your punishment will be as sever as I see warranted.”
“What exactly would you see warranted?” asked James.
“You’ll be sent to Alicante,” said Charles, his eyes marked on Matthew, “where you’ll remain until you come of age and if you continue to disobey direct orders then the punishment will be as severe as stripping you of your marks.”
“Charles,” Charlotte hissed from beside her husband. “We never mentioned—“
“It is for their own safety, mother,” said Charles, squaring his shoulders. “I do hope it doesn’t come to such extremes, but in this case, the safety of one is the safety of them all. I do hope this will encourage them to keep each other accountable.”
Though it pained James that these new founded restrictions would limit his personal research on finding a way to kill Belial, it did not discourage him in the least. In fact, he was even more excited about the prospect of an opportunity to infuriate Charles. If one of them were to be sent to Alicante, he was sure the rest would follow, and he couldn’t strip them all of their marks. What with Shadowhunters being down in numbers as it were. Charles tactics were classic: infiltrate fear into the army without ever enacting punishment. Not that Charles would ever find out if they were going against him. Charles was too busy building his castle out of sand to see what goes on around him.
“I think Charles has allowed power to go to his head,” said Will, under his breath. He’d been in something of high spirits since Jem had arrived at the Institute and been ordered to stay to help the Carstairs siblings mend. “Don’t fret, Jamie boy, if you are stripped of your marks, Coleridge lived a life of poverty and had to be sustained by charitable friends and he turned out fine.”
“William,” Tessa hissed. “Do be serious for a moment. Jamie, as much as we regret taking away your personal freedoms, it is of the utmost importance that you heed the restrictions put in place for you. Even if he is being a power hungry, conniving, son of a--”
“What your mother is trying to convey,” said Will, moving in front of her, “is that you should be careful and mindful of your action.”
“I could always become a postman like Trollope?” said James. “I’ll begin to work on my beard.”
Will bellowed and clapped James on the shoulder just as the doors to the drawing room were opened by the footman and in walked Brother Zachariah with Sona beside him. Her graying hair has come loose and spilled down her back in an array of perfect waves that mirrored the texture of her daughters. Her expression was somber; deep circles sat under her eyes and her lips were impossibly dry.
Her arm was entwined with Jem’s as they shuffled into the room.
James, followed by Tessa and Will, hurried across the room to meet them.
“Mrs. Carstairs is in need of some rest,” said Brother Zachariah. “She would like to request that James remain with Miss Cordelia while she is away.”
James took her free hand and offered it a reassuring squeeze.
“She is lost in there,” said Sona, her voice rough and weathered. “I can feel it. It helps if you read to her. Let her hear the sound of your voice so she has something to walk towards in all of that darkness.”
“I can show you to a room,” said Tessa, a note of emotion in her voice that she quickly cleared away.
“That would be lovely thank you,” said Sona and removed her arm from Jem’s for Tessa’s.
“Perhaps some light broth,” said Brother Zachariah. “She hasn’t eaten much and I worry for the child.”
Tessa nodded and led Sona from the room.
Brother Zachariah turned his attention to James. “How are you feeling?”
“Much better after some sleep,” said James. “I can go to Cordelia now if you wish.”
“She is having a bath,” said Jem, “but in the next hour. Prepare to make yourself comfortable, perhaps bring some literature. As Sona said before, it is of the utmost importance that you continue to speak to her, give her something to walk towards, or the Cordelia that you know can become lost in her thoughts forever.”
James' voice became bitter. “Why is she in a coma if it means she could become lost inside of her mind? Can’t you wake her up?”
“The injuries that she has sustained would be too terrible to be conscious during,” said Jem. “The body is able to heal much quicker if the mind is asleep to the pain.”
James drew himself into as stiff of a column as he could and clamped his teeth down on a small quiver of his jaw. He resolved himself in that moment to give Cordelia whatever she needed; if he had to read to her for days, weeks, even months then that was what he would do.
(Next update is going to be Sunday 7/12... maybe)

Ok so I know this is like my first post but I’ve been working on it cause a friend did it for their dnd character and I was like this could be fun and give people some insight. Questions wandered as Mecha 1-100
Smell like: oil, sweat, and more recently baby spit-up
Voice: Not many people will understand this fem-V from cyberpunk. Sorta gravely
Motivator: Research mostly. Finding out new things and applying them. More recently though her kid and making a better world for them.
Most embarrassing memory: She doesn’t like to share this story, but when she was younger and moved around with her sister mecha, she was afraid to GO in the woods because she accidentally wandered onto a farmer’s land and was caught pantsless.
How do they react to pain: “ You wanna hit me go ahead, just stay away from the hands and eyes” She can deal with a great deal of physical pain but when it comes to emotions and others she is like a mage named Corren
Wear: Normally throughout the day, she wears her metal armor. Outside of her armor, she wears a simple black dress when relaxing, a work apron while working, and always Always gauntlets and a blindfold
Most positive relationship: THis is difficult because so many of them have done different things, but most probably Corren and her want to be more good like him
The weirdest thing I have ever eaten: Correns cooking
Sleep: “Alister! Corren! Cuddle me!” Yea she will cuddle up with almost any person who trusts and it depends on the person. Alister: Alister is the big spoon and mecha buries herself into his chest and stomach. Corren: Mecha is like a koala to Corren and just hugs onto a single leg.
Favorite food/ kinda food: Vegetables honestly, but also baked goods like bread
Most insecure about: How others see her
Like to wear: adaptable clothing, something that can be used for many different functions and also gotta be able to get dirty and clean when you need it
How do they react to feelings of guilt: Previously they bottled them up, but more and more they are learning to talk to others about that guilt. Ultimately she always feels guilty for something
React to betrayal: Depends on the person buuuttttt, angry, blames themself for part of it, tries to move on quickly
Greatest achievement: MOCHA
Too little sleep: quiet and most likely taking a nap in the skeleton’s arms. That's If she is actually tired. Shel heals fatigue in an instant.
What are they like a drunk: If she drinks and gets drunk and that's a big if she becomes an I love you drunk and we'll just tell everyone what she likes about them before passing out.
Music likes: A lot of Rock and techno music, a little bit of pop only because it fits.
Right or left-handed: She always works with her hammer in her right hand.
Fears: Being completely alone, losing her friends, losing Mocha, destroying the world, the unknown, diseases, being like her mother
Favorite weather: Nice sunny days with a slight breeze
Favorite color: it’s hard because it's between gold and blue
Collect anything: besides random trophies, rocks that she sometimes gives away.
Hot or cold weather: Hot because you can cool down easily.
Eye color: Goldenish/ yellow
Race/ ethnicity: Well Gremlin in Sekrezia, in the real world through it's between Brazilian and Irish
Hair color: Ginger/ red
Happy where they are currently: Nope, not even a little bit. She's upset because she believes she has possibly doomed the world and has actually found someone she can connect with/ has some feeling for and they just keep backsliding her. She also hates that she has to leave her new daughter.
Mounting person: YES!!! Up early to get shit done
Sunrise or sunset: Sunrise is extremely pretty to watch especially when you can but caves are a thing.
Messy or organized: Like myself, it's a chaotic form of organization
Pet peeves: Jumping to conclusions, mistreating machines
Objects of significant importance: Her forge hammer which is like a badge of office saying she is a member of a smithing guild and her evil eye because a really good friend helped her make it.
Least favorite food: The rock she accidentally tried to eat while she was tired delirious one night in a cave.
Least favorite color: Kelly Green. Look it looks like puke, nothing against other greens but this one ugh
Least favorite smell: Decaying flesh
The last time they cried: mhhh a few weeks but it's gonna be soon. Definitely the birth of her child.
Anybody with them: entire party forMochas birth, but other than that Corren and Alistar
The time they got injured: Well getting crushed by a giant cube was bad, the worst injury would probably be getting dragged into lava by her own creation that she loved.
Scars: Nope none so far that are physical. Some mental ones that she's working through.
Mental health issues: Paranoia, Depression, Suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, PTSD
Bad habits: Shutting everyone else out.
Why might someone dislike her: SHe can be a bit standoffish and definitely hard-headed.
Why might someone love her: He has a big heart for those she cares about, she's smart and also creates a lot of small gifts that aren't for value but personal reasons.
Believe in ghosts: Literally was in a plane of the dead, soooo yes

“i’m only a crack in this castle of glass  /  hardly anything there for you to see”
Do you look better with your hair down or up? It's too short to go up. Has you mom ever directly told you that she favoured your other sibling(s) over you? Yeesh, no. Have you ever read The Outsiders? Seen the movie? Read the book, seen the movie. Adore both. What’s your favourite drink from Jamba Juice? I don't think we have those here. Can you stand eating the crusts of a slice of sandwich bread? I don't mind the crust at all. Do you do your homework at home or in class? Prior to college, I did my work right after getting home to get it out of the way. In college, I did it in-between classes or when waiting for Mom to finish class. Do you feel uncomfortable sharing drinks with other people? Yes, I never do it. Do you get jealous if your boyfriend hugs another girl? I'm single, but hypothetically, I wouldn't... It's just a hug. At least for me, it's just a friendly gesture. Is there something that happened in your past you hate talking about? A few things, yes. Is it hard for you to be “just friends” with the opposite sex? Nah. If you had to choose, what color is your favorite? Baby pink. How many times have you dated the person you’re with now? I’m single. Has anyone suspected you of being a different sexuality? Yes. Do you normally fall asleep fast or slow? Ridiculously slow. Have you ever had a severe allergic reaction? No. What do you want to be for Halloween this year? I'd love to dress up as like a Ms. Oogie Boogie and take some cool pictures, but I highly doubt it'll actually happen. What color are your glasses, if applicable? Black. Haha, I LOVE going on MorphMarket now and again to browse the ball pythons especially, but boy if I had the cash and space would I buy like fifty of them at once. I don't really know about a store I like browsing but not buying from. Skittles or Sour Patch Kids? Both are great, but I guess Sour Patch Kids. BUT, if you throw SOUR Skittles in there... then it's a war lol. If tattoos were free, how many would you have? A HELL OF A LOT. I wanna be just about totally painted. Do you wear a retainer at night? Not anymore. I had one, but I stopped using it. Are you afraid of dolls, puppets, or clowns? I'm not a doll person, particularly porcelain ones. No, but I'd love a fat-tailed gecko. Are you scared of reptiles? Not at all, I adore them. Is your car messy? I don't have my own car. Mom's kinda is, though. I'd love to improve my German. What would you like to get a degree in? Photography. What book are you reading, what genre is it and do you like it so far? Wings of Fire: The Brightest Night. It's young adult fantasy, I think. Did you ever sometimes flip through your text books even when you didn’t need to? Yeah, mainly to just look at pictures because I was that bored in class, haha. What types of magazines do you read? None. Would you prefer to read a book, watch a movie or TV show, or play a video game? Play a video game. What’s your current relationship like with the person you lost your virginity to and do you wish it was different? We don't have any relationship anymore. I don't regret losing it to him, if that's what you're asking. If you mean our relationship stance, it'd be nice to still be in touch with him, but I know it wouldn't be healthy for me. Have you ever felt responsible for someone’s death? Pets, yes. No humans. What was the last book you recommended to someone? Idk. What’s the most difficult thing you and your current or last significant other have gone through? Distance was very hard. What’s your best memory with your ex? I'm going to assume this refers to "the ex." In which case, we were "play arguing," and I came storming into the kitchen after him to make a point, and I slid mid-sentence, and he caught me. We just held each other laughing our asses off. It's the simple things, man. Who was the last person that asked to hang out with you and what’s the story of how you met that person? Summer. My little sister and her were in pre-k together and became friends, but I gradually became closer to her than Nicole did when we were teens. Has anyone ever asked you out and you turned them down? Yes. Is there something you generally always ask for help with? Yeah. Like recently I've been having apples and peanut butter a lot, and I ask my mom to cut the apple because I'm terrified of knives. Do you feel comfortable telling people how much you weigh? NOPE. Have you looked at any old photos of yourself lately? No. In a relationship, have you ever been on and off with your partner? No. Do you consider cooking to be an art? Yes. Are you a fast or slow reader? I'd say I read at a moderate pace. Does it take a lot to gross you out? It depends on what it is, but I am actually more squeamish than I used to be.

IC Overview
name — elizabeth agnes nott (nee rosier) faceclaim — phoebe tonkin age — 28 gender — cis-female sexuality — hetersexual patronus — fox {following the felines, the fox slinks into fifth place. Foxes are cunning, resourceful and fiercely intelligent – remind you of anything? That’s right – we wouldn’t be surprised if some members of Slytherin house find themselves with a fox Patronus. Foxes are also highly adaptable and can live in many diverse habitats around the world. If deep down you’re channelling the fox, you’ll likely have resilience in spades.} boggart — a prison cell — elizabeth would do anything to get her husband freed, but her greatest fear is that she’ll get herself imprisoned and leave her daughter without either parent.
IC In Depth
personality traits —
+ resourceful — elizabeth has a gift for making something out of nothing. she knows how to spin every situation and set of circumstances to her benefit, which has been an invaluable skill in the wake of her master’s demise. she never gives up, and will use anything and anyone at her disposal to get what she’s after.
+ charismatic — elizabeth has a gift for drawing the attention and affection of a crowd. she has a way of carrying herself with confidence and ease that makes people stop and listen. she is also a physical beauty, which she uses to her advantage when she needs to. the way she carries herself as she speaks means that people stop and listen to what she has to say, and she finds it easy to bend others to her way of seeing things.
- cruel — elizabeth doesn’t shy away from the darker parts of serving the dark lord. she’s not squeamish in the face of torture or murder, and is a talented enough witch that she’s able to use her magic to get what she needs from those who are unwilling to comply. she’s not off her rocker like bellatrix, but she knows how to turn off her more feminine sensibilities when she needs to get the job done.
- demanding — elizabeth has high demands for the people in her life. she sets the bar of expectations high and if someone doesn’t meet it, they suffer her displeasure. in her current role of leading the remaining loyal death eaters, elizabeth takes her leadership seriously and is nearly as demanding as her master would be if he were the one leading things.
character biography —
elizabeth was the firstborn of the rosier family, but only by a few minutes. her twin brother evan followed soon after, and it didn’t matter that she appeared first, because evan was the heir. still, elizabeth wasn’t tossed away, but treasured by her parents just as much as evan. while he was raised to learn how to continue the rosier legacy by keeping the family name, elizabeth was raised to think of how to further that legacy by taking another’s. she and evan were the best of friends as children — constant playmates in their free time and classmates in the strict regimen of lessons that the rosiers expected their children to learn.
but where evan was always the more sensitive and compassionate of the two, elizabeth was as hardened as her parents wanted their heirs to be. the dark lord was beginning to make a name for himself, and the rosiers planned for their children to be on the right side of things. they both fulfilled their parents’ expectations by being sorted into slytherin, but while elizabeth kept her friendships within the superior house, evan branched out, though at least he didn’t make friends with any mudbloods (though blood traitors weren’t much better, and everyone knew that the McKinnons and Boneses weren’t the right kind of pureblood). elizabeth gathered a tight group of friends around her, establishing herself as their leader early on and using that to her advantage throughout her time in hogwarts. elizabeth excelled at her academics, but it was the social game that she really thrived in, and the connections she made as a child have been the ones that have sustained her throughout the disgrace that was to follow.
elizabeth always knew that she would marry for duty, not for love. but somehow she seemed to catch the eye of one of the most eligible bachelors on her parents’ preferred list of suitors, stephen nott. He wasn’t the firstborn, but his family was wealthy enough that it didn’t matter that stephen was only a second son — he was set to inherit just as much as theodore, and the nott name was just as respected as the rosiers. it made perfect sense, and the fact that elizabeth felt butterflies when he smiled at her was just an added bonus.
stephen was amused at the fact that elizabeth treated their relationship like a business transaction, but her mind was exactly one of the things he had been so drawn to, so he didn’t really mind. it wasn’t until after they were gone from hogwarts and married that elizabeth finally let herself consider what it might be like to love the man she had yoked her life to, and to her surprise, love didn’t make her weak. if anything, it made her stronger.
stephen was serving the dark lord even before he left hogwarts, following in the footsteps of his father and brother, and it wasn’t long before elizabeth’s sharp eye and keen mind caught the attention of his master. they were thrilled with the privilege that it was to be sought after by the dark lord, and elizabeth gladly took the mark that her husband already bore. they threw themselves into fighting for his cause, both proving themselves to be loyal soldiers as well as masterful minds. it wasn’t long before they were both welcomed into voldemort’s inner circle as his most prized strategist (elizabeth) and his most skilled duellist (stephen).
they were both so focused on serving their master that producing an heir just wasn’t a concern for them, until one day elizabeth discovered that she was pregnant. of course, they were both ecstatic, longing to have children to fill the nursery, but there was a bit of loss to it, for being pregnant meant that for a time, elizabeth would need to take a backseat from her death eater duties. she was fully committed to returning after giving birth, but unfortunately, she was only a couple months into her pregnancy when the dark lord fell, condemning her husband to prison.
elizabeth escaped, partially because of the sympathy people felt when considering the growing bump and partially because she was so skilled at talking her way out of things. she would have been happy to go to azkaban for her master, of course, but she would serve everyone better from outside of the prison walls, and now she had someone else to think about.
for the first time in her life, elizabeth’s thoughts weren’t totally consumed by her own interests. she hadn’t met this child yet, but already elizabeth felt like a mother, and her primary concern became caring for the life that was growing within her.
when she gave birth to a daughter months later, she allowed herself one moment of disappointment that it wasn’t the male heir that they had hoped for, but her heart had been captured by the writhing little figure even before she made her appearance. the baby was named elizabeth after her mother (as elizabeth and stephen had discussed ages ago), nicknamed liza. liza became elizabeth’s first priority, and anyone who was lucky enough to see mother and daughter interact were privileged to see a side of elizabeth that nothing else would ever bring out.
these last five years have been a trying time for elizabeth. she’s delighted in watching liza grow, but that delight is tainted with the sorrow of knowing everything that stephen is missing. she thinks about him constantly, wondering how he’s doing in azkaban. they exchange letters as often as they are able, and the few times she’s been able to visit he seems saner than the rest of their kin, but elizabeth knows what the dementors do to a person, and she worries that even if she does get him back, he won’t be the same man as the one who left.
elizabeth is determined to bring back her master, and she’s gathered a tight group of death eaters around her in the hopes of finding out a way to do this. suspecting that even some of those she’s closest to in life (narcissa, lucius, evan) are not as loyal as they might appear, she’s only recruited those she can really trust, which means that their work has been kept secret so far, and she hopes to keep it that way for as long as possible. she’s getting closer to finding where her master is in hiding and discovering a way to bring him back to full strength, but she needs more time.
plot ideas
family matters — wow, so much to be explored here. first of all, there’s her relationship with evan. he’s her twin. there are few people in the world that elizabeth loves, and evan is one of them. but she suspects he’s not as eager as he might seem to return to the old days, and that worries her. has evan given into his softer sensibilities? and then there’s narcissa and lucius. they’re cozied up a little too close to the very people that their master would seek to eradicate. surely they’ve given up hope. elizabeth loves them, but she’s not sure if that love is enough to make her stick her own neck out in order to protect them. and then there’s alice, a cousin just like narcissa, whose mother-in-law was the one to defeat elizabeth’s master. it’s assumed that they don’t have much of a relationship — what is it like when these women encounter one another in the world?
leading the charge — elizabeth is leading the acting death eaters, so of course she’s at the heart of a lot of chaos and drama possibilities. I’ll be eager to explore what it looks like, how comfortable she’s gotten with leadership. will she really be ready to hand the reins over to her master after five years of being the head honcho?
mother above all — before anything else, elizabeth is a mother. she thinks that she’s doing what’s best for her daughter in trying to get stephen back, but what if she somehow realized that fighting for the dark lord was not the best way to protect liza? if she’s torn between her loyalty to her master and her loyalty to her daughter, what would elizabeth choose? even I don’t know.

Remissionem - Chapter 2
If you've been keeping up with the show, (SPOILERS HERE) Della has returned to Earth. In this story however, Della is still gone, and her whereabouts are unknown, she is presumed dead. (END SPOILERS) This story has some gore in it, considering it's about a family overcoming an accident and fighting mortality. Reader discretion advised as I work at a veterinary clinic, so wounds and the treatment of them may be described rather realistically. If you have a squeamish stomach, I suggest not reading these sections. For those of my readers who like this sort of stuff, I hope you are satisfied you creepy little nerds! Thanks for reading guys!
Chapter 2: Can Fester Forever
Something’s ringing. A high-pitched squeal in his ears. Then pain. Terrible, unrelenting pain. Everything hurts. He wants to cry out, to wince, to retreat from it, but he can’t move. Distantly, he hears someone talking. No, someones talking. He can’t tell how many there are.
The ringing is fading, but the voices still seem a long way away. He forces himself to focus on them and not his tortuous body. His mind starts to return; that’s Dewey’s voice. The higher pitched one, that’s Webby. Their conversing back and forth, sometimes even calling out to him. He can’t respond. He can’t do anything. I’m here!
He hears a cry, followed by a different voice rise above the rest, “Is he dead?!” It’s Louie. Why would the lad think he’s gone? What happened? He hears a whack, presumably one of the others punching the green duckling to be quiet. He wants to smirk. Good. They should expect more of him, he’s Scrooge McDuck after all! It’ll take more than that tae kill me! Of course, he doesn’t know what that is. He doesn’t remember anything.
Two fingers are placed to his jugular and something tickles his nose. It’s soft and light, but the tickle makes him think he may sneeze, which would be excruciating at this moment. A few unbearable seconds go by before the annoying feeling leaves.
He hears Webby’s voice again, her voice cracks, “His heart’s beating! He’s breathing! He’s alive!” There’s a group breath released. Did they really think he had expired?
Someone touches his head; he wants to wince away. There’s a shout, “No, don’t move him!” Huey’s voice. “The Junior Woodchuck Guidebook says if he has a spine or neck injury, moving him could make it worse!” Smart lad.
“But we have to get him back to the Sunchaser! How are we supposed to do that if we can’t move him?!” Dewey again. His voice is filled with urgency and...concern? Are his injuries that severe?
The ringing has almost left now; his senses are coming back to him; the voices are clearer. He can feel the gentle breeze ruffle his feathers; even that makes his skin burn. That’s right, they were outside somewhere. On another adventure? His left shoulder throbs painfully. He feels like he was hit by a truck.
No...not a truck...a boulder. His memories return to him all at once. His nephew in the path of the stone that had, at first, failed to fall. He remembers forcing his aching joints to move as fast he demanded, whether they’ll allow it or not, to get to him; to get to Donald. If he’s in the amount of pain he’s in now, he must have been hit; but did he save his nephew? He hasn’t heard the lad’s voice.
He needs to know. He must make sure Donald is alright. Scrooge compels his voice to work, though it sounds strained and weak, “...Donald...”
A hand is immediately placed on his cheek, “Unca Scrooge?!” His voice. The ‘uncle’ in front of his own name makes his heart leap. The old miser thanks any supernatural force he can think of. His nephew is alive! If his body would allow, he’d scoop the boy up now and smother him with kisses. But that’s not the uncle that Donald knows. The uncle his nephew grew up with keeps a calm head in these situations.
He needs to see him. To see with his own two eyes that Donald is ok. His face grimaces for a second before he forces his eyes open. At first all he sees is white. Then shadows appear, hovering above him. They gradually take shape and color. Eventually, the face of his nephew comes into view. That look...the last time he saw that look on Donald’s face was when the sailor heard Della was lost in space. A new pain plagues Scrooge; one in his chest, “...are ye...alright, lad...?”
Donald lets out a breath, closing his quickly dampening eyes for a moment, before looking back at him, “Thanks to you.” His beak is turned upwards into a smile, though it seems halfhearted and repressed.
Scrooge blinks, trying to get his vision to focus. More faces are forming next to him. Webby and the boys. There’s not a dry eye among them. He can’t stand seeing the usually joyous ducklings look like that, especially not when it’s over himself. Tsk, “...what are ye all cryin’ fer? Ye cannae git rid ‘a me that easily!” There’s the smiles he loves. His family embraces him at first gently, then they hold tight, as if afraid to let go. As much as the action is appreciated, he can already barely keep himself from crying out in pain. The elder lets out a grunt of discomfort and they quickly retreat.
Webby’s large, hollow eyes are glancing up and down his body, “We need to get you home. Can you move?” The question on if his back or neck are injured.
He tries to focus, but everything still hurts so bad. Slowly, his legs start to straighten themselves out of the strange angles they landed in.
Scrooge’s right wing moves to push himself up, but his left remains motionless, “...cannae move me arm...”
Said appendage lay tangled in vines and underneath a small branch. Webby and Huey work to unravel it as Donald places an arm underneath the old miser’s head to help lift him up.
When the ducklings finally manage to free his arm, Webby sucks her teeth, “I think it’s dislocated...”
The limb hangs awkwardly from the shoulder. The old duck lets out a soft groan, more in annoyance than actual pain. He lifts his good wing towards Donald, and his nephew helps him wrap it around the sailor’s neck. Together they gently pull Scrooge into a sitting position. His back cries out in protest at the movement, surely bruised, but he highly doubts broken as he can still move most of his appendages. When they finally pause, the Scottish duck relaxes his grimace and releases the breath he’s been holding with a small cough. Debris falls off his body as he keeps his eyes closed for just one more second. This upright position causes his head to swim, and he feels sick to his stomach. His beak is dry, and he swallows before his belly can have any more ideas.
Finally, he manages to acknowledge the girl, “...someone’ll have tae set it...”
Eyes risk opening, and Scrooge gets a look at his body for the first time. Cuts and scrapes litter his skin, but his legs seem to have escaped relatively unharmed, though his right leg aches. His right arm has a deep laceration that is undoubtedly bleeding down Donald’s shirt by now; his left hip is throbbing; the bad arm is hanging unnaturally at his side causing an overwhelming amount of pain; and his head is still spinning. He’s sure there’s a deep cut above his eye, as he can feel something threatening to drip into it. He most likely has a concussion as well from either whatever caused the gash, or from hitting his head on the ground. The back of his head and neck feel rather moist, perhaps there is some blood trickling down? The hand that Donald used to lift him up before is covered in a crimson color; his head is definitely bleeding. But the thing that hurts the most, next to his dislocated arm, is his left rib cage, especially in this position. He can see a tear in his robe where red is seeping out, a red far darker than the color of his attire, but there must be more damage than that. Small gashes sting across his face where branches and sharp rocks must have grazed him.
The first thing that runs through his mind is...how is he alive?! Injuries like these could be fatal to someone far younger than he, and with his age it’s even more a wonder. That death trap was designed to kill someone, a duck half his age would be lucky to survive something like this. 152 years is not easy on the body. He understands now why the kids thought he was already deceased, and with the pain he’s in, he almost wishes he was.
Scrooge eyes the children around him. Huey and Webby are near his bad arm, seemingly trying to figure out if they can set it themselves. Dewey sits on the ground closer to his knee. The blue child is looking over Webby’s shoulder as if he’s interested in helping, but his eyes seem to be far away. Louie kneels at his feet. The boy’s beak and face are as pale as a sheet, well, as pale as one can be with white feathers. He can’t look directly at his great uncle. The boy isn’t too keen on blood and seeing a family member badly injured is making his stomach churn, but his tears seemed to have dried for now.
Huey’s voice snaps the elder duck out of his thoughts, “It would be better to set it here than let it wait until we get back. The longer we wait, the more swelling will occur, and it’ll be harder to set. Plus, it’ll be less painful if we do it now rather than later.” The boy was reading his journal once again. That book really comes in handy.
The girl nods in approval, a hand to her chin. Then she pauses with a worried look, “...who’s gonna do it?”
The children all exchange a glance. Donald was currently supporting Scrooge, so it had to be one of them. Louie is definitely not an option; he’d just as soon puke at the thought then even try. He’d probably faint before he even touches the appendage. Huey possess the knowledge on how to set the bone, but the thought of physically feeling the shoulder move under his hands makes him queasy.
Webby retains the courage to do what needs to be done, but she would really prefer it not to be her causing such pain her idol. If she has to do it, she will, but she’s a bit unconfident in her bone setting abilities. Her Granny hasn’t covered that part of survival medicine with her yet.
Right as she opens her beak to mutter an ‘Ok, I guess I will then,’ the boy behind her speaks up, “I can.” Dewey wears an unwavering look, even if there’s some fear hidden behind his eyes.
“Dewey...” Donald calls to him softly. The sailor has an idea of why the middle child volunteered. The duckling hasn’t said much since the accident happened. He had been the one who encouraged them to keep going, even after the trap had been sprung. He led the group through the underbrush, making sure everybody got past each obstacle safely. The only thing he had really verbally said was that they needed to get their wounded uncle home as soon as possible. And now he wants to fix what is, in a sense, broken. Dewey blames himself. The boy shoots a glance to his uncle, but his determination never falters.
“Are you sure?” Webby seems appreciative, but still wants to make sure the boy is actually comfortable doing what he says.
Dewey switches positions with Webby so that he faces the bad arm directly. He looks at his older brother, “Just tell me what I need to do.” If Scrooge wasn’t already biting back his cries of pain, he’d congratulate the boy for stepping up to the task.
Huey nods, “First we need to see what position the bone is in now, so that we know which direction it needs to go.” He looks to Webby, who catches the hint and switches places with him, so she faces Dewey. She then places her tiny hands on the duck’s shoulder, using her small fingers to determine its location in comparison to where it should be.
Her touch immediately sends shocks of agony through the old duck’s body, causing him to wince and scrunch up his face with a grunt. He clenches his teeth as his hold around Donald tightens, making his nephew yelp in surprise. The girl’s brows knead together in concern, though her eyes remain focused on what she’s doing, “Sorry, Mr. McDuck.”
Mr. McDuck. How he despises that! When had the lass started calling him by that again?! It had seemed to be an increasing occurrence as of late, but as to when it had actually begun, he couldn’t say. There was also the certain dimness in her usually bright eyes.
Scrooge was serious when he told her a few months ago to call him ‘Uncle Scrooge.’ He truly sees her as his own niece, even if there is no blood relation. However, since the events of the Sunchaser in which he had excluded her from his family, the light that she once emitted was fizzled out. Even after he had reconciled with the boys, something remained missing within the fourth duckling. He’ll have to have a talk with the girl. But later, his mind is preoccupied at the moment.
Webby’s delicate fingers find the humerus head a good inch below and slightly to the left of where it should be, “Here’s the top, it needs to be moved up and over just slightly.” The girl’s grip makes the old miser shrink closer to Donald with a groan. As proud as he is of his niece, part of him wants to give her a good smack. He restrains himself just barely.
Louie covers his ears at the painful sounds, closing his eyes tightly. If he could just get the picture of his wounded uncle out of his head, maybe he could calm down. But he finds he can’t completely block the noises out. He has to listen just slightly to know what’s happening; to know that the motionless, crimson covered body he’d seen when they first found it, is sitting up before him, breathing, making those awful noises, and alive. Louie wishes nothing more than to skip ahead when they would all laugh about this later. He just wants to get this over and done with already. He allows himself to peek through his eyelids just a tad.
The oldest nephew can’t help but feel out of place. For the many years he grew up with Scrooge McDuck, Donald never saw his uncle in such pain, or at least openly showing it. Sure, they all had their fair shares of injuries in the past, but Scrooge never paid much mind to his own. A slight wince here or there would be it, and they’d be off on the next adventure whether he was healed already or not. No wound had ever been this severe though.
Of course, if it was Donald or Della that had gotten hurt, even if it was just a minor scrape, their uncle would put everything on hold until he was sure the children were bandaged up and alright.
The only time of outwardly expressing pain that came remotely close, was when they lost Della on the Spear of Selene. Donald had seen the pain and regret on his uncle’s face, especially when the sailor left with Della’s three little eggs, but even that expression had been masked.
If Scrooge is concealing his pain now, he must be in a world of hurt. The fact that the old duck’s face is practically buried in Donald’s chest as he tries to resist the urge to yell at the children to stop, makes the situation all the more strange. Of course, the headlock of sorts his uncle has on him helps that; he can’t move away if he wanted to, but he doesn’t.
His left wing supports Scrooge’s back, mindful of his arm and the gash on his ribs, while his right grips his uncle’s hand on the arm that’s tightly wrapped around his own neck. The hand in his would tighten when the pain is especially unbearable, and he would squeeze it in return to try and provide some sort of comfort.
Their argument from this morning couldn’t be further from his mind right now. Sure, they would need to talk it out, but something like that was not nearly important enough to be concerned about at the present time, not when Scrooge almost died. Donald was sure his uncle felt the same. A small disagreement can be overlooked when your family’s survival is at stake.
“Alright, Dewey, try and get a good feel so you know what you’re looking for,” Huey instructs his brother. The middle child does as told, following Webby’s hands and trying to ignore the pained sounds and faint Gaelic cursing coming from his uncle, the boy’s hands are not nearly as gentle as the girl’s.
Once he gets a good feel, he follows the instructions of how to hold the limb and maneuver it back in to place. Dewey places his left hand where the shoulder and upper humerus should meet so that he can feel when it correctly pops back in place. His right hand takes his uncle’s wrist that lay lifelessly on the ground, slowly bending the limb to a 90° angle. Under his left hand, Dewey can feel Scrooge trembling slightly in anticipation.
Huey seems to have noticed as well, and gently puts a hand on Celtic duck to get his attention, “Try and relax, Uncle Scrooge. It’ll be easier if your muscles stay loose.” Easier said than done, though the senior does take a deep breath to try and calm himself, not too deep though, for that hurt his ribs.
Dewey faulters for just a moment, looking to his left at his elder’s face. Sensing the other’s hesitation, Scrooge opens his eyes and glances at the boy next to him from his peripheral vision. The blue duckling seems to be apologizing for what is about to happen. He can tell the middle child is still nervous, despite his attempt at keeping a cool head. The experienced duck, not trusting his own voice at the moment, dips his head ever so slightly, silently urging him onward and reassuring the other that he trusts him fully. A blink; the boy nods back in appreciation.
Dewey refocuses himself and begins to move the appendage in his hand, by the wrist, away from the body as instructed. The old duck immediately tenses again with a grunt as he can feel the bone twist inside. The child’s hand moves until he feels resistance, and then continues by pulling the wrist up, as if making the hand reach to the sky. As he lifts the arm, he can feel the bone moving up along with him. The owner whines at the feeling, his torso straightening with the limb and slightly leaning away from the duckling.
Dewey’s brows furrow in concentration; the bone is right there; it just needs to pop back in now. Applying just a slight bit of force with his left hand on the humerus head and pushing the wing backwards just a tad farther with his right, he feels the bone give way underneath his force, and snaps back into place with an audible pop. The eldest duck lets out a cry, jumping up in reflex to the sudden pain.
The four watching the scene visibly flinch at the sound and shout that followed. Louie gags and closes his eyes once again. Huey and Webby suck their teeth in sympathy, turning their heads away a bit with a wince. Dewey remains unfazed, keeping the limb in position. Donald’s eye closes at the yell in his ear, before gazing back the other’s face.
The sailor had never seen his uncle cry in all his years, not even when they lost Della, but there are unmistaken tears in the old duck’s wide eyes. Scrooge’s jump had aggravated the pain in his side. His face wrinkles together again, and he lets out another strained groan between his tightly clenched teeth as he lowers himself back to a position that didn’t hurt as much. He wills the tears to stay where they are, ashamed they had appeared in the first place. Thankfully, they obey his command.
Dewey slowly lowers the arm back to a normal position, keeping it bent, and is relieved to find it moves without resistance. The owner’s feathered head lowers with it and hangs motionless.
The oldest nephew immediately notices the sudden act, “Scrooge?” No response. He squeezes the hand in his, trying to get the other to react. Nothing.
By now the children have noticed something is wrong. Louie’s eyes have reopened, and he uncovers his ears at his uncle’s call.
Huey puts a hand to the battered body again, hoping for some sign of life. He finds none.
Webby too looks up and down the body in front of her in concern, putting a hand on his back with a soft shake, “Mr. McDuck?!”
Dewey keeps his hands ahold of the injured wing, his eyes glancing back and forth. Did he do something wrong?! Did he give the man a heart attack?!
Donald releases the hand he held, placing his own on the elder’s chest, shaking a bit more urgently, “Unca Scrooge?!”
A weak cough forces itself out, followed by a low grumble, “...Donald...quit yer yappin’...Ah’m nae dead...”
The group takes a much-needed breath as the dark turquoise eyes open once again. Their owner slowly lifting his head up just slightly to glare at his nephew, who, despite his relief, returns the glare, “Well how am I supposed to react when you pass out like that?!”
Eyes narrow. Scrooge is humiliated that he could no longer tolerate the pain, and he had started to feel lightheaded right before his arm had been readjusted. He keeps his beak shut, not wanting to start yet another argument, and instead focuses his attention to left wing.
The boy in blue still clings to said appendage, keeping it a neutral 90° angle. Its owner tests the limb just slightly, moving his fingers that he had long lost feeling in, and extending it just a bit before bringing it back to same position. He’s pleased to find, although sore, the intense pain has lifted. He lets out a soft breath, looking up at the one who had freed him from it, “...thanks, laddie...” The boy smiles back and gives a nod.
Huey is already on the next step, “The arm needs to stay immobile for now; it’s still unstable. We need a sling. Uncle Donald, can I use your sleeves?” At his approval, the sleeves of his sailor uniform are promptly ripped off and tied tightly together. The injured wing is then placed in the makeshift sling as it’s wrapped around the owner’s head. It will work until they get back anyway.
With the initial crisis over, Donald feels it’s long overdue that he acts his age and takes charge of the situation. His brows lower in resolution, “Alright, we need to get back to the plane.” The four children each give a nod in agreement. He looks down at his uncle; he’s awake but seems rather out of it. His head is still carried lower than normal, and it seems he could lose consciousness again at any moment. A shiver wracks his body, most likely from blood loss. He’s going into shock, all the more reason they need to get back as soon as possible.
Donald addresses him, already moving to grab under the other’s knees, “I can carry you; it’ll be faster than having to make you walk.”
Not even a beat passed before, “Absolutely not...”
He frowns, “You stubborn old fool; you’ll exasperate your wounds if you try to walk all the way back!”
The bloodied head lifts again with a glare, his eyes seem a bit unfocused, “...teh clouds’ll part on Dismal Doons b’fore ah let ye carry me...” ...at least nae bridal style...
The nephew snorts in anger, but the senior ignores him, “...help me git on me feet...” He wants to prove to his family, maybe even to himself, that he isn’t as bad off as they think. Or maybe he isn’t thinking properly at all, which is much more likely. The kids glance at one another, reluctant to help. The Scottish duck sluggishly moves his spat-clad feet closer to his body to assist in lifting himself up.
His eldest nephew begins to stand, hanging on to the right hand around the sailor’s neck. A grimace already appears on wounded duck’s face at the stretching in his body. The children all come to aid, grabbing where it looks safest, and together they heave the injured duck to a stand, the rest of the debris falling off him. He stumbles a little, leaning heavily on Donald, before finally stilling. His head swims even more so like this; he fears he may actually lose his breakfast.
His nephew eyes him spitefully, “There, are ya happy?! Even just trying to stand you can hardly catch your breath!”
The heavy panting sends spikes of pain through his left side, making him utter another curse under his breath. But he maintains his glare, only opening a single eye, “...quiet you...!” If he had his cane, he’d whack the other on the head.
While he catches his breath, Webby goes to fetch his hat and spectacles while Louie reaches on his tiptoes to get the cane. Dewey helps support his great uncle on the opposite side of Donald by wrapping his arms around him since Scrooge’s left arm is useless. Huey stays close by in case the other loses his balance again.
Ever the leader, Scrooge tries to take the first step, only to collapse in their hold with a strained bellow. The three only just manage to keep him upright until he once again regains his footing, this time only on his left leg; the right he holds up with a wince.
Huey immediately notices his distress, and kneels down to examine the leg, “There’s a large bruise forming on your shank. You could have a break in there!”
His great uncle lets out a mix between a groan and growl, half in pain, half in agitation. Of course.
Huey only throws fuel on the flame by adding, “You can’t walk on that; you’ll only make things worse!”
The sailor shakes his head, “There’s no choice then. I’m carrying you back to the plane whether you like it or not!”
Scrooge’s glare isn’t as hard as before. His head is still spinning, and the longer he remains upright, the greater the chance of him collapsing grew. His nephew keeps ahold of his right hand, turns, and kneels down in front of him. With his hand still tightly being held, and his sudden support gone, Scrooge has little choice than to carefully climb aboard. His good arm is held around his nephew’s neck as he leans against Donald’s back. Hands come to grab under his knees to keep him in place, and Donald slowly rises to his feet. Scrooge’s weight settles on his own chest, making his side ache at the position, and his bent legs aggravate his hip, but they have little options left. The height still seems dizzying to the entrepreneur, but at least he no longer has to rely on his own body to keep him upright.
Taking a quick glance around to make sure everyone is with him and they haven’t forgotten anything, Donald initiates the hike back to the pathway. Dewey insists on leading to remove any obstacles that might be in the way of his uncles. Donald’s mobility is rather limited now, but he doesn’t complain, and thanks the middle child in making the venture easier. The three ducklings follow behind him, occasionally assisting the blue triplet in moving any branches out of the way to keep anything from hitting their great uncle.
The stone trail seems like a relief to see, and they can travel a bit easier back to the Sunchaser. Donald pauses just for a moment to catch his breath. The jungle is too thick to see the plane, but he hopes the walk will go quickly.
He readjusts his grip on his uncle’s legs, earning a grunt of protest. The lone arm around him has gone rather lax in their short trek, and he can hear the pained breaths in his ear that aren’t meant to be heard. The injured duck hasn’t said a word since they left; he hardly seems conscious. Blood loss comes to mind. Internal bleeding. Something they can’t see on the outside. They need to get Scrooge back and address his wounds as soon as possible. Determined, he begins the journey back to Launchpad and the Sunchaser, praying his uncle will hold out until then.

Barriers Between (Chapter 5)
Warning: Angst, Yandere and Long. Do you even need a warning anymore?
The sun rose above the horizon as the warriors began the long trek to Chaos’ domain. There wasn’t much tension or hesitation in the group as the majority of the trip was spent gaining momentum for the battle ahead.
Some warriors took to conversating during the trip, while others preferred to keep focused on the surrounding area. Squall was one such person, helping keep the distracted Trinitas from getting blindsided. It also helped to have a reason to stay close to her for however long they had left with each other...
“So what are you gonna do when you get back to your own world, Trin?” Tidus asked in his usual upbeat manner. This question made her anxious. The conversation about returning home finally made its way to her and she still didn’t have a good answer.
“I don’t even know if I can go back. The Astrals are probably going to prevent me from doing so. Let’s say hypothetically that they let me go back, there’s nothing for me back in Eos. Most likely the rest of the people I knew heard about the Cathedral going up in a verdant green blaze, so I don’t know how welcome I’d be with the rest of my acquaintances. I have no more family and most likely... no future there. Besides, I don’t want to go back either. I always feel like... I don’t belong.” Trinitas trailed off looking out to the desert.
Squall grimaced at the tanned blond who decided not to pry any further after that surprisingly pessimistic revelation. Cloud sighed going over to Tidus to explain what he did wrong. Before Tidus could apologize for asking, the brunette girl had already sped up ahead of the group to avoid further questions.
Squall followed, easily keeping pace with her. He placed a hand on her shoulder to halt her. “I’m sure you’ll be fine.” He murmured softly to the obviously upset Trinitas. “Yeah. Maybe... do you think Cosmos will let me go back with you to your world?” She glanced at Squall for a brief moment. He hadn’t considered that idea before, but it was worth a shot.
“I don’t know if she will. You can try asking her.” He suggested, looking back to the blond deity in front of the group as they caught up to the two. Trinitas decided to try her luck.
“Cosmos? Is it possible to be sent to someone else’s world after this is all over?”  Cosmos seemed almost stunned at the audacious request. “It could disrupt the balance of the worlds. I simply couldn’t do that.” Trinitas’ eyes were beginning to darken as she scowled at Cosmos. “That’s all you high-and-mighty types ever say! So you can go ahead and steal people from their worlds for your own selfish purposes. But we're always fated to be apart by the end of this!” She screamed accusatorily, causing everyone to seize up in alarm. Her irises turned a virulent viridian, pupils receded to minuscule dots.
The Warrior of Light stood between the enraged female and the goddess, fearing for the latter’s safety. “That’s enough, you’ve heard her answer now leave her be-” “NO, DON’T YOU DARE DEFEND HER PISS POOR EXCUSES! JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS DOESN’T MEAN IT ALWAYS SHOULD BE!” The party saw her eyes glow a bright green before a cascade of cold air chilled the desert. Trinitas continued from there.
“Just because something hasn’t been done that way before doesn’t mean it shouldn’t or can’t be that way. It’s not a physical limitation of universal law. It’s not like lightspeed or the event horizon of a black hole. We are not tethered to our worlds; our presence here justifies that. Fate is not a ‘set in stone’ construct, it's made by our doings. If you were told we were doomed to fail this war time and time again, would you just accept it? I am so tired of hearing about fate from beings that just lay down and take it. Meanwhile, mortals are constantly fighting back, turning the tides and striving to alter it despite how disadvantageous, hopeless and frivolous it seems in the broader scope of an unfair existence! And you could be so much more if you didn’t make these self-imposed limitations. Why are you so scared of going against fate but not of nonexistence? It can’t be worse than what’s happened before.”
Trinitas turned back around walking ahead of the party leading the way to Chaos’ land. Her optics died down to a dull celadon.
Squall didn’t make any motion to stop her throughout the duration of her proclamation. As she passed him, she stopped and offered a sad smile. “Let’s just get this over with.” She grasped his hand and mournfully continued forward.
Cosmos was speechless. She didn’t know how to respond to that, or if she even should. It gave her something to think about.
-
Lava pits dotted the ground. Luckily for the group, Trinitas’ spell from earlier kept the warriors cool while traversing the unforgiving terrain.
Vaan and Tidus looked out into the lava in curiosity, catching sight of a treasure chest under an alcove hovering above a river of lava.
The two did a gil flip to choose their next course of action. Heads.
And now another flip to see which one would be retrieving the treasure. Tails. Tidus it was then.
He cursed his luck as he went off the loosely defined road behind his comrades’ backs. Tidus hung on the landbridge above the resting spot of the chest before many concerned voices called out in admonition. “THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!” Trinitas yelled as Tidus smiled back confidently. “Just watch!”
Tidus dropped down to the ledge beneath and barely caught the edge. But unfortunately, the ledge wasn’t incredibly sturdy and began to give way before he could pull himself up.
“TIDUS!” Yuna cried out before trying to summon Valefor.
Springing into action, Trinitas dropped to skim above the lava catching Tidus on her shoulders and the chest by its handle. She quickly teleported back to the spot the group was waiting in.
The blond was dropped haphazardly on the ground while Trinitas set the chest down gingerly. He attempted to crawl to the chest but was stopped by Trinitas blocking his path.
“Hey, what gives? I’m the one who got the treasure!”
“No, I did. While you were plummeting to your death I might add! There’s a ramp that goes down to the platform. You didn’t have to almost die!” She reprimanded.
“We almost lost you to lava, damn it! Be careful next time!”
Tidus stared alarmed at Trinitas’ concern. “Didn’t know you cared that much.”
She considered those words carefully. “Yeah, neither did I...”
Trinitas seemed to get lost in thought for a moment before snapping back to reality as Tidus had moved to open the chest but got burned by the hot metal. She rolled her eyes and shot the lock off with her gattling saw revealing a Cockatrice Tail Feather.
“She saved your ass for a feather from an overgrown chicken that turns people to stone...” Squall deadpanned as he peered into the chest from over her shoulder.
“It looks kinda neat.” Vaan went to observe the object now in Trinitas’ hand.
Tidus threw himself back onto the ground sulking over the lackluster reward for his bravery. “Aw damn it! I thought for sure that it would be gil. Oh well.”
Bartz went to sit next to Tidus as he looked at the feather. “Might be good luck to keep it.”
“It’s not exactly light, ya know. It is made of stone after all.” Trinitas let the feather drop from her hand like a lead weight to demonstrate her point. “I mean it’s no Kingatrice Tail Feather but maybe the moogles will trade us something for it. Cockatrice Feathers do have their medicinal uses if you can unpetrify them.”
“How do you know that?” Bartz asked.
“I used to be in charge of my groups' treasure stockpile. Deciding what got sold, what we needed to keep or look for next.” The guys nodded in understanding. No matter where you’re from, someone always has to keep track of the items.
“Although it was only because I had the best memory, nothing better to do and actually used the stuff. Noctis was too careless, Prompto was too scatterbrained and squeamish, Ignis was too busy, and Gladiolus was too hot-headed when we argued, and we argued a lot. So much so that I think he sold things just to piss me off. Don’t get me wrong, he was great at finding treasure, but not at leaving it alone.”
Trinitas looked to the ground in exasperation at a certain unrelated detail. “I never did get that second Sturdy Helixhorn.”
Squall shook his head in confusion. “What’s that got to do with anything?”
“The Prodromus family were made the royal artisans of Lucis at the start of the Caelum Dynasty’s reign 2,000 years ago. It’s a Lucian tradition of the current Prodromus hierarch of the time to make an object in remembrance of significant events in Lucian history. And seeing how I’m the last one, I was going to make an amulet out of Sturdy Helixhorn and a Platinum Ingot I picked up from the top of a Duscaen stone arch to mark the Siege of Insomnia. I doubt I’d even find one outside of Eos. Those things weren’t exactly easy to get the first time around... You had to break them off a Duplicorn or a Leukorn just right.”
Trinitas sighed before coming to a depressing conclusion.
“What does it matter? I’m probably not welcome back in my world anyway.”
The guys looked between themselves briefly. “We’ll help you!” Vaan exclaimed cheerfully. “I mean sure, we may not be crafters per se but we’ll help you find something even greater than a Helixhorn.”
Squall looked to Vaan in surprise. We never agreed to that. But before he could revoke Vaan’s statement, his eyes caught a glimpse of Trinitas’s slow-growing smile and his heart uncomfortably fluttered with a more agreeable disposition.
“You’d really do that for me?” Her celadon eyes held a spark of hope, causing a strong internal quiver that completely overtook his desire to speak out against the idea. What is wrong with me?
Squall thought about mentioning how much time that would probably take, how they had the upcoming battle with Chaos, how they’d have to part soon after...
But he didn’t want to. He wanted to waste time with her and get further off track, even if it was time spent with these other people he didn’t want around her.
He agrees without another hesitation. “Anything for you, Trin.” He reassured watching her beam with joy.
Squall caved in and the worst part was he knew it, accepting the task for the sake of her happiness seemed too common these days. At this point, he was hyper-aware of his inexplicable tendency to favor her, no matter what the case may be. Whatever was making him like this felt terribly inconvenient to his rationale. Anything she asks, suggests or even hints at is considered, agreed upon or carried out swiftly.
The other side effects included his berserk rage at those who would hurt her (despite the fact she’s an immortal that doesn’t feel pain in the same capacity as a normal person and he knows this), his underlying jealousness of others getting close to her (even though she spends every day with him and only him) and lastly, the near insanity he endures when she’s not with him.
This in and of itself was reason enough for him to stay by her side. His vision becomes hazy, distorted and dull. Many voices cry out her name as desperation to see her again eats away at his still conscious mind. He wonders what’ll happen when it’s time to finally part. Is he going to be okay? Was this sickness going to go away on its own or would it become apart of him?
While pondering these morbid questions, Squall aimlessly followed Trinitas’ lead back to the group that took the time to wait for them.
-
Traveling headlong down the path, the team searched every treasure chest along the way not finding much past gil and the occasional rare weapon.
Meanwhile, Bartz took to studying Squall’s behavior involving Trinitas. His natural intuition and the previous unease he had when he encountered him last triggered something of a curiosity in the adventurous man. It was no real secret that Squall had taken strongly to the unusual girl and was something of an undisclosed observation made by the rest of the Cosmos warriors. But for as sweet as the relationship seemed to be, all of Squall’s abnormal actions were concerning...
Most didn’t want to bring it up for fear of starting a conflict by addressing it directly, but there was absolutely no way they could ignore it either. Most took to monitoring him from afar and whether Squall knew this or not remained anyone’s guess. If he did notice he was being watched, he sure didn’t let on. Trinitas herself was unaware of her companion’s bizarre obsession with her, assuming his protectiveness stemmed from a natural desire to remain with the only person he felt connected to.
It didn’t take long for Bartz to notice the way Squall’s eyes sluggishly glanced around dazed and unfocused, lost in thought. The sharp, alert, icy glare he was used to was replaced with dim, half-lidded dark grey-blues that hid a near-lifeless quality in them.
It was unsettling that someone could come alive in the proximity of another person but just as easily decay the next moment. He may have had her by his side but whatever Squall was thinking about might as well have placed him millions of miles away.
Trinitas looked back to the other warriors following Cosmos. They trailed behind the treasure hunters who were busy scouting ahead for rare substances.
The brunette surveyed her surroundings before spotting a distant chest and running full speed, snapping the once-dazed boy out of his trace as he attempted to keep pace with her. “Maybe some warning before you take off like that.” Squall scolded the excited female.
“Didn’t know you were following me!” She cheerfully shouted behind her while advancing towards the chest in the distance.
The rest of them chatted amongst themselves, remarking on Squall’s strange choice to keep close to her when they were once certain he wanted to be alone.
“Sometimes it takes a person much different than yourself to change your priorities,” Cosmos added as she witnessed the pair taking a black orb out of the chest. “Perhaps Squall realized how much he appreciates Trinitas’ company. Or maybe... he realized he didn’t truly want to be alone in the first place but found no better alternative to the problem. Someone finally won his heart and now he dreads the moment he has to let go.”
“Does it really have to be that way? They work together well enough. What if-” Vaan tried reasoning with Cosmos only to be cut off by her.
“Squall’s world is caught in the middle of an ongoing loop of stable events. Everything is already set to happen in a specific manner. Trinitas was a last-minute addition to a prophecy she actively attempted to dismantle. The ones who gave her the abilities she has cannot kill her and so they did the only thing they could do... displace her. Exile her long enough to follow through with the prophecy until the point of no return has been reached. Unfortunately for them, Trinitas will be returning to her native universe after this conflict has been won.”
The warriors responded with rising concern, “So, what Trinitas said was right then, is that it? They’re just... fated to be apart because it was planned that way?” Lightning scoffed in disdain. She never did take to the idea of fate.
“What a waste of a good dynamic...” Tidus sighed walking around with his hands behind his head.
Vaan’s pout turned more serious as he thought about the two. “So what if things are supposed to go a certain way? What if the future they have together is better than what fate has to offer? You shouldn’t tear them apart solely based on ‘it’s what fate wants’. And what if the gods back home don’t take her back, huh? What'll happen to her then?” he chided disapprovingly.
“I have no control over what happens to her after that.” The deity admitted obstinately.
Laguna squinted his eyes in suspicion, “So at the moment, you do... Is that correct? If so, what do you gain keeping the two apart? It’s not like it affects you and this world after we leave, right?” He grinned, hoping his journalist skills would work on her.
Cosmos thought carefully about how she was going to answer that. “It isn’t about keeping the two apart for reasons of my own. Trinitas is capable of destroying the stable time loop that has been set, effectively rewriting Squall’s predestined path and the fate of his world entirely. Although... I’m afraid by letting them get attached, it might’ve already begun.”
They looked around at each other in worry. No one liked where this was going.
“How so...?” Tifa asked warily, sure that she and every other person present knew the answer.
Cosmos breathed in deep, preparing her explanation. “You’re all aware by now that Squall has a favorable disposition towards Trinitas, but it goes even deeper than that. It borders on complete addiction with its own set of mental, emotional and physical symptoms that can’t so easily be ignored.” Cosmos motioned to the brunette as he talked with Trinitas about her plans for the orb.
They noticed how his eyes were more attentive now than they had been minutes before. How vibrant and bright blue they became.
The moment she turned away the dreariness in them returned. The change was so quick, it was no wonder Trinitas never caught on. You’d have to know what to look for.
-
Hours passed and the group found more materials to work with. Adamantite ore, a trapezohedron, and a crystal shard.
After assessing the hardness of the orb was sufficient enough for her plans, Trinitas got to work on refining the adamantite with the heat of a nearby lava flow. The metal would be used to form spikes that would lace around and chain the dark matter sphere. An enchanted moving handle that would move freely about the chain would probably be added later, depending on how inconvenient it would be to swing with just the chain.
Her plan now was to make an artifact weapon for herself instead and save the platinum ingot for another project.
While the ore was heating up she transmuted the trapezohedron, cockatrice feather, and crystal shard into the dark matter to further increase the magic inside it and add the chance to petrify the opponent on contact.
“How is it you know so much about smithing?” Terra watched in awe of the esoteric techniques Trinitas used in crafting the ball of darkness into one reminiscent of her crystal heart’s own monochromatic color scheme.
Trinitas shrugged, checking the adamantite. “It’s more about knowing what you want from an object. Changing its shape and structure while trying to gather details about its potential.” She telekinetically skimmed the impurities that rose to the top of the liquid metal.
“I’m just making this thing as I go. Sure, I have an idea of what I want to make of it, but I need to see the number of obstacles I have to go through to make it a reality. I guess that’s kinda like life for ya. Shaping the world blindly as you go...”
Once the metal was malleable enough she moved it in strands around the dark matter. Webs of adamantite showed the brilliance of the center while she shaped her family’s insignia on one side. The spikes held holes with razor-sharp edges that threatened to slice pieces off if those barbs were ever to implant themselves into something. Links of adamantite chained together to form a makeshift handle to swing with. In order to cool the newly formed finish, Trinitas brought out her ice-based weapon Liquid Nitrogun to finish the job.
After a quick spray with the gunblade, it was time to test its durability and functionality and for that, she needed a target...
But she could think of no target better than Chaos himself.
-
Throughout the day they faced the many familiar adversaries Chaos had gathered, and although they all were felled on the field of battle Trinitas never moved to raise her newest weapon against them despite how tempted she had gotten at some points.
A long trek through the Land of Discord finally brought them to their last hurdle...
The group made it to the Edge of Madness as dusk slowly crept overhead. The sun now a dying ember of orange setting below the horizon. Finality had set the tone no one was willing or wanted to address.
“Are we all set?” Lightning assessed the condition of her own equipment as she asked.
Many of the warriors looked to each other in agreement before sparing a look at the two brunettes they were the most concerned about.
Squall caught their gazes soon followed by Trinitas.
She didn’t know why but she felt they all had the same thing on their minds, she just wasn’t sure what.
“I’m... I’m fine. Let’s just focus on getting all of you back home.” Trinitas smiled glumly.
Squall didn’t want to show his worry. So he opted to calmly shut his eyes instead, leaving his expression neutral... unreadable. “Yeah. Let’s go.”
They walked through the gateway to Chaos’ domain fearlessly, but there was no fooling the rest of Cosmos’ warriors...
Trinitas and Squall were terrified of what the future held.
-
On the other side was a long staircase leading up to a circular platform holding Chaos’ throne. The deity sat patiently upon it, not looking displeased in the slightest as the warriors confronted him.
“You’ve defeated my chosen warriors and now you’ve come for me...” Chaos rose from his throne, “Tell me, what exactly do you think you’re going to accomplish by killing me?”
Half of the warriors paused at those quizzical words, others held their stance.
“What is even the point of fighting to end what can’t be ended? A vicious cycle. Even if you manage to win, what makes you think this conflict won’t restart itself?” he argued his point, possibly to goad them onward.
Trinitas sneered with distaste. “Is that resignation I hear? From great Chaos himself? What’s wrong with these entities? Why is it that whenever you or Cosmos open your mouths it’s always something about ‘the futility of fighting your fate’ or something like that?” she taunted.
Chaos’ eyes squinted at the small woman’s mocking tone. “Why do you choose to fight the unwinnable odds, abomination?”
Trinitas scowled, “Why not? Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You can’t get anywhere if you don’t at least try something different. Even if everything resets, we’ll be ready to try a new approach. I’m not going to use excuses to give up what we’re fighting for.”
Trinitas’ determined glare became fiercer when she began materializing the spiked sphere of adamantite, hovering it over herself.
Chaos grinned at the intimidating weapon. “Good answer.”
The God of Discord charged at the dauntless female.
Before Chaos could reach her, Cosmos takes her place as the victim of the first attack, shoving Trinitas away from his path and off of the circular platform where she began to float to keep herself from sliding down the steep edge. The moment Cosmos touched her, various pieces of information Cosmos knew flooded her mind. The blonde goddess was incinerated by the monstrous god shortly after. Cosmos’ body begins to dissipate in crystalline particles and the rest of the power and knowledge she had are absorbed by Trinitas’ crystal heart.
A frenzied revolt immediately ensued with Trinitas left to regain her barrings off to the side.
Why did that happen? Trinitas got up and felt a surge of energy overriding her. That doesn’t matter. End this... Trinitas swore she heard an implacable voice in the back of her head, but it was right.
She strode onto the arena with murderous intent.
This ends here.
-
The battle between Chaos and Cosmos’ warriors raged throughout the night. Many fighters got taken out of it periodically, resting themselves as others fought the tireless deity.
Trinitas herself never took the time to, constantly engaging the god with barrages of ceaseless spikes embedding themselves in the god’s outer layers of flesh. And although Chaos mostly resisted the petrification enchantment, it didn’t stop the areas around his stab wounds from chipping off bit by bit.
It didn’t matter how long it would take, Trinitas was wearing him down slowly and continually, buying her teammates enough time to recuperate.
Squall lasted long into the fight, but as the adrenaline in him started to decline, so did his fighting performance, making movements like lifting his gunblade a harsher task.
Seeing the way Trinitas still moved with such vigor in her attacks made him want to stay in the battle, much to the dismay of those who knew how close he was to exhaustion.
This made Tifa finally put her foot down and attempt to get Squall out of there before he got hurt.
“Just give it a break already! You need to rest!” She restrained his arms with her own, dragging Squall away.
Or at least she tried to. Squall wasn’t having any of it, thrashing wildly in her grasp in an attempt to return to the fight. “I’M NOT DONE YET!”
“YES, YOU ARE! LET OTHERS HANDLE THIS!” Tifa yelled trying to quell Squall’s erratic reluctance.
A second later he saw something that cut through his concentration like Odin’s broadsword. Trinitas was tossed violently by Chaos into his throne shattering the ornate stone object completely.
Others from across the arena saw Squall’s eyes get darker and wider before he broke out of Tifa’s hold and charged Chaos while he had Trinitas cornered.
Trinitas was about to get back up relatively unscathed but noticed the familiar light of Squall’s Blasting Zone and quickly moved aside to avoid the crossfire.
He followed it up with unyielding slashes against Chaos’ back trying to carve into the skin as deeply as his blade could go, his face manic and furious. Chaos tried in vain to dislodge the gunblade from his back as Squall spammed Mystic Flurry around the writhing god in an effort to discomfort him even further. Squall forcefully pulled his weapon out before firing a Lightning Shot to draw Chaos closer before hitting him with a Rough Divide.
Trinitas watched the entire display with morbid fascination. She’s never seen Squall so hellbent on outright killing something before. It was almost like watching someone else.
Squall didn’t stop and didn’t want to.
-
The God of Discord finally fell, broken and defeated at the gunblade wielder’s feet. Before Squall could continue assaulting him, Chaos’ voice caught his attention.
“Here ends... the war of the gods. Destiny’s hand cannot be stayed. Begone mortals.”
The warriors started to disappear one after the other... appearing in a lush vibrant field.
“So this is it? The end of a very long road?” Vaan asked the other warriors.
“It never really ends. And neither will our stories.” Bartz replied cheerfully.
“No matter how or why we’ll always be connected, that I’m assured. I’ll find some way for us to be together again, I promise.” She said to everyone before looking to Squall, walking up to him in what he can only assume will be the last moment he gets to spend with her.
“I’ll find a way to be with you, so just wait... wait for me.” Trinitas’ eyes were certain, bringing a sense of tranquility to the brunette who thought this parting would’ve been... sadder.
“Wouldn’t have it any other way. Just try not to keep me waiting too long.” He whispered to her before sharing one final kiss goodbye.
As they held each other, their forms started to fade from the field.
-
Squall’s vision became black and a stinging pain marred his senses. It was like reliving his sparring session with Seifer. His scar feels more recent and he’s laying in a bed of some kind. This feels awfully familiar...
He wasn’t aware his eyes were closed to begin with, opening them to find himself in the exact same infirmary bed he woke up in at the beginning of this convoluted mess!
“He’s up, Doc!” An eerily recognizable voice called out from the side of his bed.
Turning his head he’s met with bright celadon eyes.
“Trin...?” He asks quietly as not to grab Dr. Kadowaki’s attention.
She merely winks, “Wasn’t too long of a wait, was it?” Squall can’t help but smile at her. This was her alright.
He may have had a few questions about how she got there by his bedside, much less his world but these didn’t seem important enough to ask at the moment. He was just happy she was there.
Dr. Kadowaki walked up to him.
Just like last time...
“How are you feeling?” she questioned him.
Squall rolled his eyes. “I’ll live.” He sarcastically drolled, getting up from the bed.
“Why don’t you take i-”
“It easy in training? Deja vu. I think I remember being told that before.” Squall noted the patience of the doctor running thinner with every smartass remark he made. But it just made Trinitas’ smile grow wider.
“Well, maybe there’s a reason for that. Honestly, why don’t you just ignore Seifer?”
“Ignoring a problem doesn’t get rid of it.” Squall didn’t miss a beat, telling Kadowaki the things he wished he’d said before.
“Neither does charging it head-on.”
“It’s not my fault Seifer plays dirty.” Somehow he didn’t feel as detached from the accident as he did before, only getting more upset just thinking about him. He really wasn’t looking forward to Trinitas meeting Seifer.
“While that might be, you still accepted his challenge.” Kadowaki reminded him.
“Can we go now?” Squall’s teeth almost ground together as he asked.
Kadowaki turned to look at Trinitas who visibly squirmed wide-eyed at the newfound attention.
“And who is this Squall? I didn’t know you had a girlfriend.” The doctor gave him a knowing look.
Before Trinitas could retort, Squall interjected. “Yeah, whatever, can we just go now?”
“Not until I call up your instructor to come pick you up. Now let’s see... your instructor is Quistis, right? I’ll let her know you have... company.” She wiggled her eyebrows jokingly.
Squall sighed, not wanting to go through all the bullshit this day has in store for him. As he finishes this thought he hears Kadowaki’s giggling while talking with Quistis. “This day is going to kick. my. ass...” He whispered to no one in particular before Trinitas lays next to him.
Their eyes meeting in a playful greeting causing him to smile slightly. He pecks her lips briefly before sitting up, not wanting to be caught in an otherwise compromising situation. Trinitas follows his lead, sitting on the stool beside the bed like she was earlier.
Neither of them notices a slightly older woman staring at them from afar with a curious look etched on her face.

All 99 asks for NJ + does he get a happy ending to his story?
1. What do they smell like? He smells a bit like grease and that slight hot electric smell when dealing with a lot of electronics. There is also always an underlying scent of vanilla.
2. What is their voice like? He’s rather soft spoken and gentle, but there is a confidence there and steel behind his words when he needs there to be.
3. What is their biggest motivator? To protect his brothers, and end the war as soon as possible.
4. What is their most embarrassing memory? There was one time when Rex caught him in the middle of a dare from Hardcase.
5. How do they deal with/react to pain? He takes it and deals with it. His dizzy spells can turn into headaches and even migraines, but he refuses to tell the medics about them so he deals with them as best he can. But it means he has a pretty high tolerance.
6. What do they like to wear? He loves his flight suit, it’s comfy and it feels right. (in many modern aus he is an unintentional hipster.)
7. Which of their relationships have impacted them most positively? Caliber is his best friend, she supports him so much. Kix and Jesse are practically dads to him, and protect him the best they can. Anomaly is extremely special to him, lifts him up like no other.
8. What’s the weirdest thing they’ve ever eaten? NJ loves to try unusual foods when he can when planetside. And where he definitely respects other people’s cultures he is definitely not eating a Yalvik queen stinger again, no matter how much they are considered a delicacy.
9. Describe the way that they sleep. He tends to sleep curled up on his side, not taking up a lot of space. He sleeps in his cockpit as often as not, so scrunched up is normal.
10. What is their favorite food/kind of food? He loves anything with flavor. Honestly just about anything is better than the flavorless, badly textured osik they had on Kamino.
11. What do they feel most insecure about? They aren’t terribly insecure about a lot, but they are shy, and many would take that as being insecure. That being said, he doesn’t love showing off his body in a public situation, being smaller and having unusual mutations for a clone, he tends to not want to make a show of himself.
12. How do they like to dress? Isn’t this super similar to 6? But he loves to wear soft comfortable clothes when he can.
13. How do they react to feelings of guilt? He carries it like a weight on his shoulders.
14. How do they react to/deal with betrayal? Someone close to him betraying him would cut him to the bone. When he trusts, its with his entire being. It would gut him to be betrayed)
15. What is their greatest achievement? One of the bigger ones was managing to tune his fighter enough to get it going faster than Anakin’s.
16. What are they like when they’ve gotten too little sleep? It happens more often than not. He tends to just get more quiet and isolated, but when talking to him, you really wouldn’t be able to tell.
17. What are they like when they’re drunk? He doesn’t get much more than a pleasant buzz when he drinks, but when he gets there, it tends to be very giggly and happy.
18. What kind of music do they enjoy? He loves a variety of music, but anything uplifting with a happy edge, basically great flying music, is what he goes for.
19. Are they right or left handed? Ambidextrous.
20. Fears? Not being able to fly, losing those closest to him. The war never coming to an end.

23. Do they collect anything? Nothing in particular, but he does love picking up a stray feather here or there.
24. Do they prefer either hot or cold weather more? Cold is always better for flying, though cool is better than straight up cold.
25. What is their eye color? Light golden amber
26. What is their race/ethnicity? Maori
27. Hair color? Dirty blonde
28. Are they happy where they are currently? They are able to fly, and protect his brothers and the people of the Republic. Would he prefer there to not be a war? Yes, but is this is as good as it gets)
29. Are they a morning person? Yes. He can sleep in if needed, but he can be up early too.

31. Are they more messy or more organized? He’s mostly organized, sometimes things will pile up and he has to take time to clean up, but it never really gets out of control
32. Pet peeves? Loud chewing, putting down others for no reason other than being mean
33. Do they own any objects of significant personal importance? Technically he doesn’t own it, but his fighter. He has modified it enough, he considers it his own.
34. Least favorite food? The flavorless protein meals on Kamino
35. Least favorite color? He loves all colors, but if he had to choose, it would probably be blood red, he’s just seen too much of it for his own liking.
36. Least favorite smell? Electrical fire
37. When was the last time they cried? Also found here
38. Were they with anybody the last time they cried? Very likely with either Caliber or Jesse, they both are very good at comforting him when he is upset (the best hugs)
39. Tell us about one of the times they got injured? Being a pilot, he actually hasn’t received too many injuries. Being shot down generally ended in explosions or being sucked into the vacuum of space, so minor injuries weren’t as common, though he has had his share of minor injuries as a cadet.
40. Do they have any scars? Nothing major to speak of.
41. Do they struggle with any mental health issues? Many of the same that anyone who has been through a traumatic war has to deal with
42. Do they have any bad habits? He likes to forget to eat or drink enough, especially when in the hangarbay working on his fighter.
43. Why might someone dislike them? Because he’s a mutie, there are definitely clones that are biased against them, also because he is a pilot, and there are those that don’t think the pilots are real soldiers.

Film Review - Mortal Kombat (2021 reboot)
To kick off my between-series break of film reviews, I’ve decided to start by looking at a live-action film released earlier this year that is a reboot of a live-action film franchise based on an iconic series of fighting games.  In other words, this will be my take on the recent live-action film reboot of Mortal Kombat.
Plot (as adapted from Wikipedia):
In 17th-century Japan, Lin Kuei assassins led by Bi-Han kill the warriors of the rival Shirai Ryu ninja clan led by Hanzo Hasashi, including Hanzo's wife and son. Hanzo kills the attackers before being killed by Bi-Han, resulting in his soul being condemned to the Netherrealm. Raiden, god of thunder, arrives and takes Hanzo's surviving infant daughter to safety.
In the present, the realm of Outworld has defeated Earthrealm in nine of ten tournaments known as "Mortal Kombat"; if Earthrealm loses the tenth tournament, the rules state it will be conquered by Outworld. However, an ancient prophecy states that the "blood of Hanzo Hasashi" will unite a new generation of Earthrealm's champions to prevent Outworld's victory. Aware of this, soul-eating sorcerer Shang Tsung, who has overseen the last nine victories, sends his warriors to kill Earthrealm's champions, identified by a dragon mark, before the next tournament begins. One such champion, a former professional MMA fighter named Cole Young, is attacked alongside his family by Bi-Han, who now calls himself Sub-Zero. However, Special Forces Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs rescues the Youngs, directing them to find his partner, Sonya Blade. Jax stays to battle Sub-Zero but loses his arms in the process.
Cole tracks Sonya to her hideout, where she is interrogating a captive Australian mercenary named Kano. She reveals that she and Jax have been investigating Mortal Kombat's existence and that the dragon mark can be transferred to anyone who kills the original bearer. They are attacked by Shang Tsung's assassin, Syzoth, but Kano kills him with Cole and Sonya's help. They travel to Raiden's temple and meet current Earthrealm champions Liu Kang and Kung Lao before being brought to Raiden, who is critical of the newcomers. They are joined by Jax, whom Raiden rescued and fitted with a set of mechanical arms. Shang Tsung attempts to attack the temple, but is stopped when Raiden shields it from intrusion. While Sonya helps Jax recover, Cole and Kano train with Kang and Lao to unlock their "arcana", a special power unique to all dragon mark bearers.
During an argument, Kano awakens his arcana, the ability to shoot a laser out of his right eye. Cole is unable to awaken his despite his persistence. Disappointed with Cole, Raiden sends him back to his family, while revealing that he is a descendant of Hasashi. Shang Tsung gathers his warriors, including Kano's former ally, Kabal, to attack the temple. Kabal convinces Kano to defect and sabotage the shield. During the fray, Jax awakens his arcana, granting him strength and upgraded arms. Concurrently, the Youngs are attacked by Goro. Cole rouses his arcana, giving him a suit of armour and a set of tonfas derived from a strength bracelet made by Cole’s daughter. He kills Goro and helps repel the attack on the temple. Shang Tsung and Sub-Zero are infuriated when Raiden discloses Cole's bloodline before he teleports most of the Earthrealm fighters to the Void, a safe space between realms. Lao, however, sacrifices himself defending Cole.
Cole proposes a plan to force Outworld's champions into a single combat with those from the Earthrealm before neutralizing Sub-Zero together, forcing the tournament that Shang Tsung tried to prevent. Agreeing with the plan, Raiden gives Cole Hanzo's kunai, which still has Hanzo's blood on it, telling him that using it would get Hanzo's spirit to fight alongside him. Raiden transports Cole and his allies to their targets. While defeating Outworld's champions, Sonya kills Kano and acquires his dragon mark, while also getting the ability to fire purple energy blasts as her own arcana, which she also uses to kill Mileena. Sub-Zero abducts Cole's family to lure him into a one-on-one fight. Overpowered by Sub-Zero, Cole uses the kunai and drains Hanzo's blood left on it, releasing Hanzo as the vengeful specter, Scorpion. Recognizing Cole as his descendant, Scorpion helps him defeat Sub-Zero and free his family before immolating Sub-Zero with hellfire. Thanking Cole for freeing him and requesting that he take care of the Hasashi bloodline, Scorpion departs as Raiden, the other champions, and Shang Tsung arrive.
Shang Tsung vows revenge as he sends his champions' corpses back to Outworld before Raiden banishes him. Raiden declares his intention to train new warriors in preparation for the next tournament and assigns his current champions to recruit them. Cole then departs to Los Angeles in search of Hollywood martial artist and movie star, Johnny Cage.
Review:
As someone who prefers PC games of the military strategy or simulator variety, it’s fair to say I don’t have the greatest familiarity with the Mortal Kombat franchise, but it’s not something I’m a stranger to, either.  I grew up playing Mortal Kombat II with my older brothers on our old Commodore Amiga despite being too young by the age-rating systems later introduced due largely to this game series, as like a lot of kids who grew up in the 90’s, I also watched the decidedly toned-down animated series that was Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm.
Based on this childhood nostalgia for the world of Mortal Kombat, the idea that films were being created in the here and now to reflect the franchise piqued my curiosity, so when this film came out on blu-ray, I bought it along with last year’s direct-to-home release animated Mortal Kombat films (which will be the next film I review after this one).  Given my relative lack of familiarity with the later incarnations of Mortal Kombat, I came to this film at a kind of tipping-point between the expert fan and the new audience member, trying as best I could to judge how the film would play to both groups while not really being in either myself.
To my mind, a good first instalment in a Mortal Kombat film franchise needs to get three things in it and done right; the tournament itself and sufficient background exposition to explain it, a decent Fatality count to honour the very concept of the game, and accurate representation of the game’s longest-lasting and most iconic characters.  The first point is one the film only goes some way towards managing; the tournament of Mortal Kombat is mentioned and aspects of it are explained, but no origin is provided for it.  Game fans probably won’t mind this and may not need it, but the new fans coming into the lore through this film would need it.
I imagine that like Star Wars, the powers-that-be probably think it’s not necessary to provide an origin for the whole concept within the continuity itself, but I disagree.  An origin, a proper backstory, adds context that better explains why the villains are villains.  Not every villain is meant to be like Batman’s Joker, a force of true evil and pure chaos that is best left unexplained to avoid humanising them and making them relatable.  In fact, most villains outside of a computer game fall flat, and it makes it difficult for new viewers to understand the stakes involved.  Ok, Shang Tsung and the Outworld crew want to enslave Earth – why? What does enslaving the Earth get them? Are they after it for our population, our resources, bragging rights – what?  This is often why adapting games into films is a bad idea; games can work without a lot of plot detail, films can’t.
Second, the film seems to baulk at racking up much of a main character kill-count.  This is a problem that was also experienced in the DCEU when they did the first live-action Suicide Squad film.  Like this reboot, that film was also a Warner Brothers live-action film, and both are beaten in this department by counter-parts made by Warner Brothers Animation.  It feels like the studio’s live-action productions are being run by people who don’t get how to do adaptational work correctly.  If a franchise is defined by named characters dying, then you can’t be too squeamish about killing them.  There’s only about one death on the side of the good guys versus a lot of death, largely delayed, on the side of the villains (I discount what happens to the guy who becomes Scorpion from this as he’s very much an anti-hero by the standards of the franchise, and it’s the one “death” that’s never going to stick). I think the film needed more run-time for both exposition and a higher death-toll.
Third, there’s the matter of character accuracy. In terms of the characters I know, most are faithfully handled, but I dislike the costume designs on the ninja outfits worn by Sub-Zero and Scorpion.  Remember how everyone hated Zack Snyder for toning down the costume colours for Superman in the DCEU?  Well at least you could still tell the colours were just toned-down versions of what Superman should look like.  In Sub-Zero’s case, there’s not a single iota of blue anywhere on his costume, and there’s no real attempt to honour the fact that the two characters were originally re-colours of one another.  Had I been making this film, I’d have given them outwardly similar costumes but worked differences into the details, and Sub-Zero would have sported the blue colour in his costume that he should do.
Granted, I know the game series has tried to move away from the recolour concept for character creation, but to my mind it’s something that should be honoured for two reasons.  First, it’s an iconic part of the series’ history, especially for anyone who played the earliest games as I did.  Second, I think that while most character in the series look different outwardly, when you look at them more closely, they become a bit similar, almost to the point of being easily interchangeable.  If they have a very similar initial character design to start with, however, I think more work gets done to distinguish them from each other beneath the surface.  That, in turn, adds depth and resonance to their appearances and their fights that other characters lack.
Beyond these issues, I’m also unimpressed with the audience-POV character of Cole Young.  At first, he seemed like a decent addition brought in as perhaps a more relatable character than some other existing candidates, and I thought the idea of him being descended from an original core character of the franchise was an interesting choice.  However, the moment I became thoroughly uninvested in the character was it turned out his powers were all derived from a little bracelet his daughter made for him. I mean seriously, how cliché, saccharine and just plain un-Mortal Kombat can you get?  The chap might as well grow fur and get a rainbow laser in his chest. If there’s one thing a Mortal Kombat film doesn’t need, it’s a bunch of touchy-feely b.s. like this.  The powers should have either been something else more in keeping with the brutality and seriousness Mortal Kombat demands, or they should have used another character that already exists within the franchise to act as the audience POV.
All this said, the film does honour a lot of what the games are about, and the action is excellent, though I could do with the actor who plays Raiden diluting his accent a bit when speaking in English. At times he was impossible to understand without subtitles.  Overall, I think this is a half-decent start to a new live-action Mortal Kombat film franchise, but it has significant flaws to correct before it really nails the game in film format.  In other words, we need more colourful and similar-looking versions of Scorpion and Sub-Zero in the sequel, Cole Young needs to be killed off, the death toll needs to be higher, and we need to both get to the tournament and learn about its origins.  Overall, this reboot as is just earns a modest 6 out of 10.

Name: Isabella Moonbloom
Hair color: cool black
Hair Style: she prefers to keep her hair down but she does occasionally put it up in either a braid, a ponytail or pigtails
Eye color: grey
Skin color: undead white (slightly yellow due to her heritage)
Age: she is 21 both physically and technically
Species: she is a human turned vampire much like Lenny/Nestor
Fang placement: her fangs are the third from the left and right.
Lineage: most of her family is from transylvania but her father is actually japanese-american.
Nicknames: Bella, Izzy, Blossom, Ms.Moonbloom
Fashion sense: She dresses very modern in comparison to her peers, She has a fondness for punk and goth fashion and she dresses accordingly (avoiding things with curse words on them to the best of her ability).
Sexuality: Bisexual
Height: she is maybe an inch or two taller than lenny (although thats because she actually stands up relatively straight and wears goth stompers with big heels).
How she got there: She was originally a human girl who was working two jobs one at the nearby elementary school as a guidance councilor and the other at a professional haunted house that was just outside of town trying to pay for rent and the usual stuff before she got turned. She was on her last run before the haunt closed that night in the haunted castle scene dressed up as a vampire; when she encountered Oskar and his friends (including Buck, Batoria, Asha and Ravena) and at first she wanted to go easy on them but she heard their reaction from the previous room and knowing that the previous room wouldn't go easy on anyone she figured that they could take it. So after successfully giving them a decent surprise they decide to talk for a while afterwards about scaring people and her giving them advice on it (because they asked for advice) and she ended up walking them back into town. However they didn't make it back into town without incident, While she was walking them back into town they were crossing the street to actually walk on a sidewalk when Polidori comes carreening down the road in his van to which he had gotten wooden stakes attached to the front, Buck had stopped in the middle of the road to tie one of his boots and she noticed the van heading straight for him and jumped into its path to push him out of the way, saving him from getting spiked but getting hit by the van herself luckily not getting herself spiked in the process. She nearly died on impact, got knocked onto the side of the road a few feet forward and was dying from the impact hitting her torso, fortunately the kids were able to get her into the trees before either polidori stopped and got out to see what he hit or she died. They noticed that the accident knocked out her false fangs and while they were stunned that a human had risked her life to save one of them they decided that they had to save her, problem was the only way they could think of was to turn her into one of them. So they all start arguing about who should turn her and Buck tells the other that he will because its his fault that she ended up in this situation. Buck awkwardly bites her wrist and luckily for them its a full moon so she turns pretty quickly but she remains unconscious. After seeing her turn Leechy and Oskar remind the group that they should get going and they should probably tell the count about what happened so as a group they fly her back to the castle. After they get the attention of their teachers, explain the situation and Buck owns up to what he did excusing himself with "She didn't hesitate to save me and almost got herself killed, I HAD to save her", They got her set up in the room of the castle that was designated to be the nurses office and allowed her new vampire genetics to heal her and drag her away from deaths doorstep. Eventually she came back to consciousness two nights later she still felt and acted like herself and was worried that she had passed out with her makeup on, she called out despite her voice being scratchy and drew the attention of the count who explained what happened to her. She took it way better than he expected, she was actually kind of excited and eventually explained that she may as well have been a vampire for the last twenty years anyway because of actual allergies to garlic and sensitive skin causing her to burn very badly if shes outside for longer than half an hour. Since she had been gone for two days the town declared her missing she decided may as well play dead and stay with her new friends until they stopped looking for her. She eventually took the position of guidance counselor and nurse at the school.
Her experience with professor Polidori:
She does not think very highly of him especially not his driving skills. But besides that she doesn't interact with him very much aside from firing the occasional water balloon of dragon piss through his bedroom window when he wakes up at the butt-crack of dawn, usually hitting him right in the nose. She may or may not be the person who screws around with his inventions while he's sleeping often times causing them not to work and occasionally popping his vans tires.
Her experience with the kids:
She has always been a bit of an artist and has been attempting to make a life size resin doll version of Ashley that he can go inside of and possess while he waits for the potion that Stellaluna is working on. She is the one that will get the kiddos whatever they want (as long as its legal for her to buy at-least) and talk to them when they need her too and sass the hell out of the count if he does anything to make the kids upset (and if he makes them cry he wont be able to hear properly for an hour), but otherwise she is very friendly. She has a sneaking suspicion that Ashley has somehow been getting high/stoned without letting the others know but she has no proof yet. She knows everyones full names and will not hesitate to use them if she feels that she needs to, the kids of course have turned this into a weekly contest to see who gets called by their full name the least and the loser (it's usually Stoker, its never Klot thats for sure) is the one who has to distract bruno while the rest of them snag what they want from the gas station.
Her home and school life: She meets Stellaluna a few nights after she gets turned after escorting Buck home and they immediately hit it off and Stellaluna offers for her to come and live with them after she goes and raids her apartment for her furniture and things. Shes never gonna be the first to admit to having a crush on Stellaluna but she does and she doesn't know how to explain it because she is a socially awkward bean. Buck has pretty much accepted her as a secondary adopted mom. She has quite possibly read a few to many fanfics and has managed to convince Stellaluna to share her coffin until hers is built and her room afterwards. She is probably the reason why Buck has been steadily learning swear words. She has been planning on getting the school a few computers so that the kids can learn more about the mortal world but before that she has to figure out how to work up enough money to get the school repaired professionally or otherwise. She has a little sister who knows what has actually happened to her and has promised not to tell their parents or anyone else and she has a good relationship with her. She gets along with Ludwig pretty well, she likes hearing all the funny stories he and Stellaluna share from when they went to school together. She finds it hilarious that shes taller than Stellaluna. She is almost definitely the one introducing the kids to memes. She is very much uncertain about how much her and stellaluna's relationship is going to grow romance wise. Isabella is actually one of a small group of vampires that are to stubborn to be hypnotized, this is only known because the count tried to hypnotize her once to get her to let go of his ear and it did not work. When she finally hears the story about how her coworkers and students tricked polidori into thinking they were a normal school for a night she laughed her butt off when she heard about what the kids decided to wear.
Her personality and behaviors:
She is very much the type that is completely unafraid to be herself and if anyone has an issue with her thats their problem. She fits the "looks like they could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll" so rough and tumble on the outside but shes a real sweetheart. It is very easy for her to make friends with others of the supernatural realm. She is like the rebel that you can't stay mad at. She is however very shy when it comes to romantic feelings. When it comes to blood she is more like Oskar in the sense that she is a bit squeamish about getting it from any other source than either the local hospital or the local blood donor station, but she has more of an excuse than he does; being recently turned. She has figured out why blood freaks Oskar out, She thinks that it's not so much the blood itself that freaks him out but more so the idea/fact that someone got hurt to get it.

Dragon Age OC Asks: Jace Surana
No one asked for these but I thought I’d give them a shot anyway. Hopefully I haven’t forgotten to answer any.
__
1. What do they smell like?
Jace smells of woodsmoke and a bit like lyrium.
2. What is their voice like?
Start of Origins: steady and fairly deep. Very calming.
Around Inquisition: hoarse and rasping. Still calming, but in a different way.
3. What is their biggest motivator?
Jace wants to help people.
4. What is their most embarrassing memory?
In the opening months of Origins he is constantly making a fool of himself due to being a Circle Mage. Lots of ‘stupid questions’, misunderstandings, and more than a couple of stupid physical stunts he maybe shouldn’t have tried without training more.
5. How do they deal with/react to pain?
Jace can heal, so he grits his teeth and uses a healing spell usually. If he can’t he grits his teeth and deals with it until he either passes out or can receive medical attention.
6. What do they like to wear?
Functional robes, or something akin to Inquisitions Warden’s Battlemage armour.
7. Which of their relationships have impacted them most positively?
His relationship with Leliana, I think. They help each other a lot, and are really supportive and understanding. And Sten, because Sten taught Jace how to think effectively with different perspectives.
8. What’s the weirdest thing they’ve ever eaten?
Alistair’s surprise stew probably.
9. Describe the way that they sleep.
Start of Origins: Pretty stationary, very little movement because he’s still used to sleeping in the little cots in the Circle. Usually curled up to reserve warmth. He’s a cuddler and a blanket hog.
Start of Inquisition: Not nearly as stationary. Years of differing sized beds have allowed him to stretch out and move without falling, but he still curls into tight balls. He just shifts around a lot more. Still a cuddler and blanket hog though.
10. What is their favorite food/kind of food?
Pastries and breads, because there’s just so much variety and a lot of flavour that can come with them. Also cheese is beautiful.
11. What do they feel most insecure about?
Origins: Lack of knowledge about how things work in the real world.
Inquisition: His health (or rather his lack of health)
12. How do they like to dress?
When he’s not wearing armour (and even when he is) Jace is wearing a lot of layers. Allow him to be comfortable, or to become easily comfortable, in all climes.
13. How do they react to feelings of guilt?
Not well. If possible he tries to fix things, but if he can’t he tends to dwell off and on.
14. How do they react to/deal with betrayal?
Shock, numbness, anger. He’s quicker to make rash decisions, even when his heart is tearing itself apart.
15. What is their greatest achievement?
Killing the archdemon/marrying Leliana. Honestly they were both as frightening and equally rewarding.
16. What are they like when they’ve gotten too little sleep?
That would require Jace ever getting enough sleep, lol.
In all seriousness he tends to be more forgetful, and he forgets words sometimes. More scatterbrained.
17. What are they like when they’re drunk?
Jace gets more melancholy, also super sleepy.
18. What kind of music do they enjoy?
He really likes anything Leliana sings. Also loves hearing songs in different languages.
19. Are they right or left handed?
Right handed.
20. Fears?
3 Fears: ‘Surface level’: Being useless
‘Repressed’ Tranquility/Under Chantry’s thumb
‘Deep, dark fear’ People finding out the deal he made with Desire for Connor.
21. Favorite kind of weather?
When it’s cool and breezy but not incredibly damp.
22. Favorite color?
Blue
23. Do they collect anything?
Books and misfits.
24. Do they prefer either hot or cold weather more?
Personally he prefers cold, so long as it isn’t damp, but his lungs prefer hot and dry.
25. What is their eye color?
A very pale blue.
26. What is their race/ethnicity?
He’s an elf, and is quite pale.
27. Hair color?
Very near blood red in colour.
28. Are they happy where they are currently?
If he’s off searching for the Calling: No. He wants to be with Leliana, but he has to hope for something.
If he’s inquisitor: Kind of? He doesn’t like the position of power but he likes being near Leliana in such a tumultuous time.
29. Are they a morning person?
Oh sweet Maker no.
30. Sunrise or sunset?
Sunset
31. Are they more messy or more organized?
There may be a mess but it’s an organized mess.
32. Pet peeves?
Nobles being stupid and reckless with other people’s lives. Writers forgetting the ‘e’ at the end of breathe.
33. Do they own any objects of significant personal importance?
He has his Warden’s Oath still. And the Reflection amulet. Has his first Mabari’s ear too. He had it preserved so he could always have something to remind him of Sev.
34. Least favorite food?
Alistair’s surprise stew.
35. Least favorite color?
Yellow plaidweave.
36. Least favorite smell?
The Blight.
37. When was the last time they cried?
When he heard the Calling for the first time.
38. Were they with anybody the last time they cried?
No, he was alone in the tent while he had a bit of a panic attack.
39. Tell us about one of the times they got injured?
When Jace killed the archdemon, and it exploded, he was thrown back. Hit his head hard. By the time the dust cleared and Wynne found him laying face down in one of the many large puddles of archdemon blood that were everywhere.
He didn’t drown, but they couldn’t get all the blood out of his lungs. It’s what’s causing 90% of his health issues.
40. Do they have any scars?
He has a lot. Couple of more prominent ones include:
-The huge scar on his left cheek that runs straight through his tattoo on that side. It was a dagger.
-He has a scar in the center of his left palm from the first time he used blood magic. He hates it. It reminds him of Jowan.
-Manacle scars around his wrists from when he was trapped in Fort Drakon.
41. Do they struggle with any mental health issues?
Depression mostly. A sprinkling of PTSD
42. Do they have any bad habits?
Bites his lips to shit if he’s not careful.
43. Why might someone dislike them?
He comes off as a know-it-all who won’t listen to others sometimes.
He’s pretty stubborn, and is very keen on keeping secrets.
44. Why might someone love them?
He does listen to people, and is in fact pretty knowledgeable about a whole host of things. He’s a good listener, and gives good advice.
45. Do they believe in ghosts?
Not in the traditional sense? He believes spirits/demons are sometimes stuck in the patterns and emotions of people who lived/died in an area, and that if they get powerful enough they can affect the waking world to an extent.
46. Is there anyone they would trust with their lives?
Leliana
47. Are they romantically interested in anyone?
Leliana
48. Are they dating/married to anyone?
Leliana.
49. Do they like surprises?
It depends on the surprise, and what constitutes a ‘surprise’. If he knows something is coming but doesn’t know what he gets nervous. A pleasant surprise out of nowhere is usually welcome though.
50. When is their birthday?
Late fall.
51. How do they usually celebrate their birthday?
If he’s not too busy doing other things, he tries to treat himself to something. A new book, a night at a tavern, a new blanket. Even if it’s pretty barren, maybe he’ll make camp early to cook a proper dinner.
52. Do they have any family?
He has a mother he dimly remembers from before the Circle.
53. Are they close to their family?
After leaving Kinloch he tries to get back in touch but fails.
54. What is their MBTI type?
0 clue.
55. What is their zodiac sign?
Maybe Scorpio if we’re using our calendar.
56. What Hogwarts House would they be in?
Hufflepuff or Slytherin I think.
57. What D&D alignment are they?
Chaotic good, I think.
58. Do they ever have nightmares? If so, what about?
Jace has nightmares often, which is part of why he’s so restless in his sleep.
He dreams of darkspawn and demons mostly. The demons don’t worry him so much, but the darkspawn dreams do.
59. What are their views on death?
He’s not sure what he thinks. He hopes people find peace afterward, he’s seen too much nasty death not to have hope, but he’s still not sure.
60. What is something that they’re sure to laugh at?
Stupid puns and dogs being adorable idiots.
61. When bored, how do they pass time?
Reading, studying, talking to other people.
62. Do they enjoy being outside?
Origins: All the time, even in inclement weather.
Inquisition: Yes, but he has to be more mindful of his health.
63. Do they have an accent?
A Ferelden accent.
64. Upon seeing a slice of chocolate cake, what is their first reaction?
Eat it probably, after making sure it wasn’t poisoned.
65. If they knew they were going to die, what would they do/say?
Try to comfort Leliana, most likely. Make sure she would be okay and safe.
66. How do they feel about sex?
Jace doesn’t seek sex. He only really wants it when Leliana does.
67. What is their sexuality?
Biromantic somewhere-on-the-ace-spectrum.
68. Do they become squeamish at the sight of blood?
No. Gods though, could you imagine a squeamish blood mage?
69. Is there anything that they find really gross?
Vomit. And the flesh bags the darkspawn make.
70. Which TV Trope(s) best describes them?
Tired
71. Do they enjoy helping people?
Yes.
72. Are they allergic to anything?
Not really allergic to things but sand, dust, pollen, and really high humidity really irritate his lungs.
73. Do they have a pet?
Mabari. Loves him some dogs. Also has a soft spot for the Bog Unicorn and the Giant Nug if he’s involved with Inquisition.
74. Are they quick to anger? What are they like when they loose their temper?
Jace isn’t quick to anger at all, honestly. He has a really tight grip on his emotions. When he finally does, he’s vicious and cutting. His magic plays up around his fingers. Fire usually, burning with his passion. Sparking at his fingertips. When he’s angry but not heated the ice pools around his fingertips.
75. How patient are they?
The man has too much patience.
76. Are they good at cooking?
He’s okay, not the most creative or best cook around. Give him a recipe and it’s usually edible.
77. Favorite insult? Do they insult people often?
No real insult comes to mind. Probably real specific ones if need be. He doesn’t really insult people with his words if he can help it, though he will in his own inner monologue.
78. How do they act when they’re particularly happy?
Jace becomes lighter, if that makes sense. More present and more apt to point nice things out. More likely to take some time to himself too.
79. What do they do when they learn about other people’s fears?
Do their best to assuage them if possible. If not Jace will just file the information in the back of his head in case something happens and he needs to comfort people. Or in case he needs to use the information later.
80. Are they trustworthy?
Yes.
81. Do they try to hide their emotions? Are they good at it?
He tries to be pretty neutral most of the time, it helps him remain impartial when he needs to be. He’s been dabbling in the Game for a decade or so, he got good at politics and manipulation and lying during the Blight. Ten years later he’s a pro.
82. Do they exercise regularly?
He’s wandering around fighting things regardless of what timeline. He doesn’t have much of a choice.
83. Are they comfortable with the way they look?
Origins: Yes. He’s got some mass to him by the end of the Blight, and he’s clearly very healthy and fairly attractive.
Inquisition: Not really. He’s gone grey super early. He looks like a walking skeleton. He doesn’t really see himself as attractive anymore.
84. What are some physical features that they find attractive on people?
Voice is a big indicator. And he won’t admit it but he likes Leliana’s cute nose. Healthy hair is something he notices too.
85. What kind of personalities do they find attractive?
Intelligent, creative, and affectionate when possible. Caring and kind are also big ones. A sense of humour would be nice too.
86. Do they like sweet foods?
Yes, though he tends to have a slight preference for savoury.
87. What is their age?
19 at the start of origins. 29/30ish by Inquisition.
88. Are they tall or short or somewhere in between?
He’s tall for an elf but short for a human. Around 5’4, 5’5.
89. Do they wear glasses or contacts?
I always headcanon him that he should wear glasses. Whether or not he does, due to glasses maybe being a liability on the road and stuff I’m not sure.
90. Do they consider themselves attractive?
By the time of Inquisition, no. He’s too sickly, to worn to really consider himself attractive.
91. What is their sense of humor like?
Puns and watching cute dogs do stupid shit. Also sarcasm. Also the two sisters in Denerim at the time of the Blight was a huge Aesthetic. “The Maker brings ham…”
92. What mood are they most often in?
Fairly ambivalent. He needs to be semi-functional most of the time, so he’s usually pretty ready to slip into his ‘I need to get shit done’ mood.
93. What kinds of things anger them?
The Chantry. Oppression. Needless cruelty. Bureaucracy.
94. Outlook on life?
Jace hopes he lives long enough to create a future that allows the biggest number of people to thrive. He wants to ensure Leliana is safe and provided for.
Other than that, he doesn’t really have an outlook. He figures he’s going to die sooner rather than later, and has long accepted it.
95. What kind of things make them sad/depressed?
Failing to help people. Either by directly saving them or by messing something up that could have helped a number of people.
Also Haven in general was such a buzzkill for him personally. Too many bad memories sort of all stuck in one spot.
96. What is their greatest weakness?
His overly caring nature can get him into real trouble. If people are in trouble he tends to overlook fairly obvious signs of traps and/or ambush.
97. What is the greatest strength?
His willpower and his raw magical talent.
98. Something that they regret?
Making the deal with Desire that led to Connor’s eventual possession. Jace regrets it more than anything, and eventually has ‘Connor’ tracked down and killed.
99. Biggest accomplishment?
Saving the world.
100. Their favourite weapon(s)?
Starfang and Duncan’s Dagger for martial weapons. For a staff he uses Spellfury.

ok! here’s the first set of questions for my Voltron OCs. since there’s so many of them, I’m splitting them into two posts. here’s Faelyn first:
1. What do they smell like? - probably a mixture of sweat and whatever soap she uses to clean her armor with LOL
2. What is their voice like? - Daisy Ridley
3. What is their biggest motivator? - she made a vow to protect Princess Allura at all costs to both her brother and King Alfor, so you better believe she’s gonna do that
4. What is their most embarrassing memory? - she doesn’t really get embarrassed?? she gets flustered around Keith sometimes but that’s about it LOL
5. How do they deal with/react to pain? - she shrugs it off, usually tries to make light of the situation, no matter how bad it is. she’s literally like that part in Frozen with Olaf, “oh look, I’ve been impaled” XD
6. What do they like to wear? - she wears her Altean Guard armor pretty much every waking moment. hardly anyone outside of Allura has seen her without her armor on
7. Which of their relationships have impacted them most positively? - Allura, because she’s her best friend and would do anything for her. and Shiro, because he reminds her of her brother.
