Peeta and the berries

It was day 3 in the Arena, the 75th hunger games was going on, with only 5 Contestants left. The day was hot and the sun shined bright on the people left, with the same goal, to win, to survive all this and return home to their lifes.

Today was the forth day since Peeta entered the arena for a second time, he couldn't understand why he had to do all this again, he had already won before and now they all wanted to kill him again. Was all of this a game for them?

Peeta knew his biggest compition was Finnick, the long, blond, handsome guy with big strong arms and a cute butt. With thighs so thick they could smash a watermelon if he had money for a watermelon back home. Peeta was So jealous of Finnick, he was charming and strong, if it wasn't for Peeta and Finnick's pact, Finnick would probably strike at Peeta any second now.

It was late on day 4, the rain had just passed and thr Thunder was over. Peeta seaked shellter under a tree when he saw a drone fly around from afar. Peeta started running after the drone, even if it was his own sponsor that had send the package, he still needed to get it very fast before anybody else could.

He had run after the Drone when he finally got the package, the drone had dropped it on a field and Peeta had run so far, so nobody else would be first.

The package was only to things, some red berries and a mirror, what was he supposed to do with this? Watch himself eat or.. peeta could only really laugh at this point. Peeta picked up a Berry and start thinking about Finnick and wondering what he did right now.

Peeta thought about finnick running around in the tight uniform, hugging his legs and arms tight. Peeta didn't notice at first but his legs started to gain more muscles and his arms got bigger. Peeta thought about about Finnick's big hands and peeta started to notice his hands started grow stronger and got more hair on them. Peetas stomach started to hurt, he zipped his uniform up a little, he could see a strong eight-pack abs starting to form and his pecs grew more even his shoulders got stronger.

Peeta took the mirror up right in time to see his hair grow longer, a messy spiky hairstyle started to style itself, in the mirror peeta could see his jaw changing, his nose and eyebrows, his cheekbones started cracking. Peeta felt lighter sitting down, his ass had gotten bubblier and he felt his dick grew a few inches, it was hard hiding it in his tight uniform.

" Damn Finnick, you hide this monster all along? " peeta laughed and looked in the mirror, there was no peeta left... starring back was his friend Finnick.

The new Finnick walked on the beach, seeing the world in his new eyes, He let out a small laugher, he wish he could thank his sponsor for this. On his walk he saw something.. or somebody.

" Hey Peeta, how are you doing? " he laughed at the new confused Peeta sitting on the beach.

Marinette's Elemental and Miraculous Matches (Bagua)

Wu Xing, Zodiac

Being tied to Wood and Metal, of the Bagua, Marinette is set to thrive with Lion, Turtle, Deer, and Mantis.

Lion plays off her independence and efficiency. Having a power to make herself a hero with any sort of power, it's something she'd utilize well, even with that five minute timer, having a good idea on what power would be needed, and it is canon that she does well under pressure. Uproar can also work off her expressing her thoughts, to truly get her voice out there. It is something she doesn't need as much as she will speak her mind, but she has been easily silenced and dismissed (largely seen with Alya).

With Valrr, he toes a similar line between Plagg and Tikki. Valrr is one to build up his humans, re-evaluate that they can and WILL succeed by their own greatness, they just need to realize it and embrace it. With any doubt, Valrr is charismatic and confident enough to bat it away. In spite of this, Valrr is also lazy, and is aware that other people actually exist and they're also fully capable of doing things on their own too. If Lion's power or his human's skill isn't truly needed, then he often votes to let other people deal with it. Kings/queens are only here to solve big problems, not every petty little thing. He also cherishes leisure and enjoyment, and encourages his humans to do the same (actually no matter how many busy body humans he meets, he's always baffled why they feel they must always be productive). Through this aspect, similar to Plagg, Marinette can learn that not everything needs her solving it, and can ease up in her involvement and how much she piles on.

Turtle easily plays off Marinette's nature to help, provide, and secure the lives of others. It can work off her willing to take (calculated) risks, even with her own personal safety. Shellter would easily be a favored power, working off generating shields, force fields, and domes and using them however she desired, this is a power she can get creative in how it can be used, could even be a means of semi telekinesis (which can work off Mantis' potential with her). It's also a big plus that this power isn't meant for offensive use, backing up her route of working around her opponents, using their own energy against them and moving with their flow. And between her quick eye for detail and quick reflexes, she can use it well to secure as many lives as possible, as well as her own and her allies (as there's no limit in Shellter's generation). Withdraw is another power I can see her using a lot, especially in times of stress. It's a safe space for her alone, one that's been cultivated and adjusted by each previous Turtle, granting Marinette her own chance to alter and manage this space as she desires (like delving into gardening), and can make use of what's previously established, as previous Turtles have set up tools for future generations (like a meditation pond in the garden). Withdraw is also set to allow users to detransform and unwind as themselves, and can talk to Wayzz if desired.

Speaking of Wayzz, he has a lot of the similar perks as Nooroo, and a bit of Trixx, securing him as a promising match with Marinette. Much like Trixx, Wayzz is able to adapt and adjust to the humans he's with, making sure he can bond with them quickly and share their interests,. But he's also grounded and level headed, and can help ground Marinette whenever she spirals. By set up, he's going to help her achieve her goals and work off who she wants to be, and focus more on dealing with anxieties and doubts.

Deer works off Marinette's expectations of promises kept and her preferring to bring up the good memories and reminders of who people are. And similar appeal to Cat's shadowmancy, traveling through reflections, seeing them, and slipping into a reflected world can play into her want to explore, learn what she can, and unravel what's before her.

Sillva is a regal and stoic kwami who appreciates sharp awareness and quick action, and would work to help improve these skills in Marinette, and is extra delighted that Marinette has a good social skills and is able to work off others. With this, he would help shape her to be a leader. Not one for the front lines, but someone who can direct others. He would focus on helping Marinette learn self-control, to calm herself and be more aware of what is the reality of things instead of spiraling out of control.

Mantis works off Marinette's perception and cognition. It feeds into her preference to predict and work off what's coming, and would appreciate the knowledge of having an idea of highest probability can allow her to thrive. Telekinesis not only works off her intellect, but works off her multitasking and how quickly her brain works. In Mantis' user history, she's going to be one of the best telekinesis users.

Savvy has the big appeal of working off Marinette's intellect and perceptiveness, allowing them to work off each other and these skill sets, she often takes delight in setting small challenges for Marinette and seeing how she thinks and what she notices, making her a tad coy as she notices so much more and likes to see how humans deal and solve problems. Savvy is an interesting counter, as Savvy is a kwami who dislikes tolerance of pettiness and maliciousness, and would think Marinette should deal with problematic people straight away. Can lead to Marinette learning what is tolerable and when she needs to put her foot down. Savvy will also push to make Marinette more self-reliant and independent, and for her to learn to be calmer and more collected.

Of Bagua, Marinette's viable matches are: Bee, Songbird, Eagle, and Bear. There are no subpar matches due to her core elements tied to the other three.

Bee is a Miraculous I've always found is one of those were everything clicks, symbolism wise. Marinette matches bees in being hardworking, a team player, a promising leader, likes to garden and invest herself in the life and welfare of others, and there is a certain point she has enough of being pushed around or something that bothers her. Manipulating plants and opening her mind to others to work with them opens up her leadership skills and team working, though the latter power may throw people off in how complex her planning is and how she jumps through hoops. That's probably the biggest factor that makes Bee viable instead of best, it's so natural a fit with how she is, there's not much more growth opportunity for her.

Pollen will be sweet and sassy, and being warm, open minded, and having strong values for productivity, dedication, teamwork, fellowship, and serving a purpose that helps the majority and allows you to thrive as who you are, Pollen and Marinette would get along splendidly. She would help build up Marinette's strengths, and help her learn to be firmer and harsher, as needed, when push comes to shove with those that disrupt or sabotage her. Especially as Pollen has no tolerance for disorder.

Songbird plays off Marinette's curiosity and desire to keep her ears and eyes out, to keep others informed, and to be aware of all the facts. Songbird also plays off her want to provide and help, to reinvigorate those in need and build them up. Similar to Bee, it's like an instant click that does offer additional growth or means to expand herself.

Arria is expressive, bubbly, and incredibly nosy, biggest gossip of the kwamis. Similar to Pollen, Arria has an appreciation for hard work and artisan skills, and would love and adore Marinette's craft. She would feed into Marinette's strengths (communication skills, helping others, and observation), but also weakness as Marinette can become even nosier and even more meddling.

Bear has potential as it's about broadening your horizon, using what's around you, and making use of your own personal power and reflexes. Only thing to keep it from clicking is that it is meant to be a more direct offense based Miraculous and to be a powerhouse in a fight. That's not Marinette initial style so it's something she'd have to learn to work with or work around.

Bamboo the "mama bear" of the kwamis, Bamboo is all the perks of Tikki's support and affection, without the pressure. Marinette I see thriving from her support, affection, and encouragement, and Bamboo would be there to work with Marinette's anxieties and help her emotionally to find her foundation. She is naturally protective of child users, so would be eager to help Marinette in anyway she needs, and may take matters into her own paws when push comes to shove. Marinette would truly thrive and appreciate having someone in her corner, though may struggle with Bamboo taking things to the extreme.

Eagle plays into Marinette's mobility, reflexes, want to help and provide, and her resourcefulness. Honestly, the biggest issue here is that Eagle is meant to be a lot more direct offense base, which Marinette prefers not getting into offense and if she does, prefers indirect. It's viable as she can work with it and be indirectly offensive, but it's not quite a true click. It is better than Bear as Eagle comes with more mobility and diversity in use than direct offense.

Allma can match with Marinette in being righteous, eager to help and stand up to bullies, quick action, and eye for detail. Allma is also for trying new things and exploring all options, so Marinette's open mind and thinking outside the box would delight Allma and something she'd encourage. Biggest thing to clash is that Allma would vote Marinette to be more direct and fight back more, especially against any form of oppression, but Marinette isn't entirely one for confrontation. It is something she can learn and may not be bad for her to learn, it's just not an immediate click.

So as lovesquare stan and monoshipper, I’m able to acknowledge that adrino is absolutely amazing and would be my ship of choice if not for the love square. (Seriously, how is lukadrien so popular when adrino is right there???) But sadly, I only read platonic adrino. (Okay, I wrote this when I first started compiling this ask, but I have recently started so I may do a less platonic rec list later.)

Ever since Nino’s (frankly embarrassing) akumatization into Rocketear, Chat Noir’s behavior had taken a strange and sudden turn in the presence of Carapace, and Nino could only think of one possible explanation:

Chat Noir hated him.

Somehow, Adrien didn’t seem to agree.

One-shot. As you all may have realized by now, I’m an absolute sucker for misunderstandings, and I’ve been desperate for good fic dealing with the aftermath of Rocketear since it came out. And this is just SPECTACULAR! Nino doesn’t understand why Adrien’s so bothered, but of course it’s clear to us as readers, and it’s finally resolved so beautifully omg I love this fic!!!

The Five Minute Adventures of Snake Noir by @kasienda​

After Ladybug admits to Chat Noir that she told someone her identity, she insists that he do the same. He wants it to be her. She insists it has to be anyone else. He suggests they use the snake. She finds this to be a reasonable compromise.

After many heartfelt five minute conversations that Ladybug doesn't remember, she decides he should keep the snake. That way he can always confide in her if he needs to. He also realizes it means he can talk to anyone… for five minutes... on repeat.

Multi-chapter. This is also a love square fic, but it’s amazing to see Adrien get to confide in Nino and get the support he so desperately needs. An Nino isn’t just some minor character in this, we get focus on him and his relationships too!

It starts with things Nino does without thinking about it, because they’re just the sort of thing you do for friends, and he’s never had to think about them before.  Nino hasn’t had that many friends himself, at least not outside of their class, but the ones he does have are good friends- he doesn’t need more than what he has.

Adrien needs more than what he has, though.  Adrien needs friends like Nino needs music.

Two-shot. I have so many feelings about this one. It starts off solid and then only gets better from there! There’s just so much love and friendship and care and LOVE in this fic!! It’s beautiful.

Alya didn’t want to come between Ladybug and Chat Noir. But she didn’t want to stop being Rena Rouge either. And if Chat Noir didn’t want to talk to her, then she’d need to find a different way to prove all three of them could be a team.

Her plan unintentionally brings a few secrets to light, which leads to even more secrets coming to light, which leads to… well, Alya is sure it’ll all work out eventually.

Multi-chapter. I can’t not rec this one. This fic focuses on the entire core four, and the adrino relationship is no exception to that. I love all of the little bits of information and the exploration of their dynamic here. The way Adrien knows Nino so well but keeps parts of himself from his friend. The growth and development as the fic progresses. Highly recommend.

Shellter Chat by @bridgetinerabbit​

A peek inside Adrien's school bag gives Nino some very unexpected insight as to what makes his good friend tick, but leaves him in a very delicate position. He never expected to strike a deal with the Kwami of Destruction, but now he and Plagg are working together to relieve some of Adrien's (and Chat Noir's) burdens for his own good. But being Adrien's guardian angel isn't as easy as it seems; other secret identities start falling apart, and there's no telling where the falling dominoes will stop.

Multi-chapter.  I loved this so freaking much. I don’t even know where to start. Nino and Alya are such good friends to Adrien! Seriously, this is such beautiful friendship fic. I need to reread it.

A Miraculous Reveal: Rocketear & Meddlesome Friends by @kasienda​

Plagg's quiet little rumble takes on a note of approval.

Alya as Rena Furtive

Not sure if it's been said before so I'll say it.

Alya being Rena Furtive was a good idea and a bad idea at the same time.

For one, the reasons why she would get her miraculous permanently and protect the main duo from the shadows against Shadow Moth were good and well explained.

However, I feel the execution regarding her identity and looks kind of threw away the efficacity.

I mean, she looks great as Rena Furtive, don't get me wrong.

Except, she should have gotten an entire new look and name completely for it to be more believable.

I mean, when Plagg and Adrien thought of a new cat holder persona in Kuro Neko, Adrien, as Cat Walker, went to change his entire suit, hair, demeanor and name (in french instead of Chat Noir he was Pattes de Velour, which means Velvet Paws in english, not Cat Walker, I'm french canadian and french is my first language, so trust me on that when I tell you that his name was completely changed in the french dub) to the point Ladybug never ever recognized him, let alone could ever think he would be Chat Noir under a new identity.

Alya could have done the same when she went permanently in the shadows as Rena Furtive. She kept the Rena in her name, and basically color swapped herself to be like a player 2 of Rena Rouge, but with camouflage. Anyone seeing her would tell that it's Rena Rouge in blue camouflage suit, sure her hair and eye color went blue, but she doesn't change her hair apart from that, and her suit is still the same, just with blue and white camouflage spots.

Wouldn't it had been better that if ever discovered, she wouldn't look like Rena Rouge in blue but an entirely different hero to the point Shadow Moth himself wouldn't believe that it would be the original Rena Rouge aka Alya Césaire, whom he knows the identity of?

Like you put Chat Noir and Cat Walker next to each other, you see them act, and you would not believe they are the same person.

Rena Rouge and Rena Furtive? Same person, just in blue.

Also there's the fact that she was supposed to be a secret, yet she told Nino when he got akumatized over doubts of her trust and love. Given how he doesn't come clean about it until Illusion in season 5, and that he tried to kill one of his own teammate over basically believing some stupid ideas, it wasn't the wisest, especially when in Risk when he protects her with his Shellter Shadow Moth immediatly notice that Rena Rouge is still active, thus blowing the whole thing off.

Especially jarring since she is supposed to not being seen ever, but if should she ever be seen at all, she would immediatly be spotted as Rena Rouge anyway.

So yeah, I feel Alya as Rena Furtive was a good idea that was wasted because it only holded up half her potential, the idea of working in the shadows to protect the main heroes from a sneak attack from Shadow Moth or to try and tail him should he ever get out in the open again in the hopes of finding where he lives and go defeat him for good?

Awesome.

Doing it while still looking like Rena Rouge, but just in blue and changing the second part of her name only, to the point of being immediatly recognizable if seen, and with someone else other than Ladybug knowing about it who's not named Chat Noir but Nino?

A bit ridiculous and totally blowing her cover immediatly, rendering the whole thing moot.

Now for the goat. The ability to create an item? Useless power. Lucky charm exists. And the "Kwami of Passion" doesn't really make itself clear. How about instead, we make Ziggy the Kwami of Evolution as opposed to the rabbit. It fits with Nathaniel's constant growth.

Now, with "Ramify" ( meaning branch out/grow and develop) the Goat has the power to unlock a hidden ability for all of the other miraculous. It can actually fix a lot. So instead of the whole "The only limits are the ones you put on yourself" thing from Pidgeon 72, we actually have an evolved form for all the Kwamis and use them.

For instance, giving the turtle shape-shifting light constructs out of "Shellter" or the fox the ability to actually camoflage. Seriously, Alya? Baby blue camo?

Anyway. I think a good weapon would be the tonfa. They're defensive weapon for Nathaniel to use while he mostly hangs back. Also, attacking would be like getting hit by a goat.

As for the Ox. The mallet? Good. But I personally prefer the concept art for it. More personality. Honestly, it's not bad. Though we all seem to agree that the costume is bland.

Is it a cultural thing? Cause I didn't get "biker leather" from this.

For the power, it fits, but a lot of us were thinking of something like strength. I'm thinking of something that involves hurling enemies(taken by tiger) or enlarging different parts of the users body. Maybe even enlarging other objects as a counterpart to the mouse.

Instead of the Kwami of Determination, we now have the Kwami of Expansion. I just want more Yin-Yang in this show. T_T

Girlybro theres this post and it reminded me sm of leander! Its by frankiecorleone and it says ‘an ouroboros is the opposite of a pearl’ and jejdjdjejdjs i looked up pearl symbolism and its associated with the moon(goddess) but also with marriage. In relation with the ouroboros, a pearl is basically a hard core made by a cycle of creation right? AND like,, i already talked about leander and hope vs faith (faith consumes hope = ouroboros = no connection!!!)

But with the pearl (i think we as mc should embody it,, thats my hc anyway) its accident (birth, curse??) gets covered in layers of stuff (should be hope) creating a hard gem outwards (reaches outwards to connection)

idk about the shell tho. Is the shell the world??Is that a reason for leander to be so protective and all consuming? Him knowing theres has to be some cover needed for connection (and ideally him controlling it and creating it,, or at least redistributing what is) but failing to realise the destruction he causes?

Woah happy new year thank you for leander food! I love when ppl talk abt all the possibilities w touchstarved so hell yeah. He sure is SHELLtering us (you can hit me for that its ok). We do be like a pearl, as we have something of value he would want to cultivate.

Temporary heroes are NOT required.

But, this does not always apply, since there are times when more than two people are needed to win, but this is not always the case and 16 heroes are not necessary.

Before the unifications, we can say that more than two heroes worked, because sometimes another power and person is necessary, like Carapace in Anansi where Chat was incapacitated, (although I think they only left Chat on the spiderweb for Nino to show off a bit).

Marinette was training with Fu, so she should have known about the unifications for a long time, or at least when Fu managed to decode the grimoire.

Quality is better than quantity.

During the day of the heroes this happens. There are five heroes, three are akuatized and Ladynoir does pretty well on own.

Ladybug and Chat do NOT need that much, especially when more than half are mediocre.

All temporary heroes can be greatly scaled down with something as small as unify.

In Season 6, no matter what, it would be more effective and SAFE if they used unifications. Why? The usual reason. MARINETTE'S FRIENDS ARE NOT TRUSTED.

Anyone can stab her in the back and we all know what will happen.

Also, Ladynoir already has his adult powers and they can use the powers of ANY miracle as many times as they want, it would be more effective for them to be able to use voyage or shellter as many times as they want and need, than have two heroes who can only use the power one time and if they fail, they have to transform again to try again.

The unifications are safer and more effective, I'm just saying that…

I would stick with very few temporary heroes, because sometimes they ARE absolutely necessary.
