Hello, I am officially speaking out right now. There's not much behind the scenes, at least for me. Thank you to @bewitched-bullet for being so patient and understanding, and all you stand for. You are inspiring. :)

Here's most of my statement. I will screenshot and post here, regardless. Screenshots of my statement under the keep reading.

This is as far as my experience goes, so I have nothing else to add after this. I hope everyone learns better communication so they can go back to having fun. It's just not working with me.

Under the keep reading I have 1 other statement based on an ask, but then it goes into my screenshots of my original statement.

First, to comment on this:

If this was a stand alone blog, I agree we don't necessarily have to communicate. Since there is already established lore of a relationship between Mycroft and Greg, I tried to communicate. Since people would ask me what happened at events I was included in:

I attempted communication. I received none back, so I stopped roleplaying. (Sure, I could make up something for the new years party, but what am I to say about the toxicology report on a fanfiction someone else wrote without me?) Simple and nothing dramatic.

I honestly don’t mind receiving these sort of asks, because the only thing that matters is whether I enjoy what I’m doing and whether the majority of my followers enjoys what I’m doing. And I enjoy it so much more now, each interaction with my new partner brings a smile to my face.

And considering the increasing amount of followers, I assume the majority enjoys it way more now too.

Hi sooo How to begin? Until some time ago a week or so I didn't know of everything that happened because I stopped following roleplay previous year in the December I think? I was still sometimes checking but actively I stopped following storyline. I was really horrified whit what happened because just everything that happened was strait up cruel towards you and Gregory mod and I'm really sorry. As another mod of one of the characters; we were just as surprised as Sherlock. None of us were told.

He made a comment about quitting the roleplay, never replacing Sherlock. He also said things about other mods a lot. Like talking bad or even told us the new Sherlock (That one back in January?) was crazy and to ignore them.

Whenever I talked to the new (January) Sherlock, they never seemed at all what John said. John lied to us so we wouldn't talk to the new Sherlock. Why would an innocent person want to isolate their innocent friend? They wouldn't.

It's just weird John lied about their split, but when you go in depth John lies a lot. 🤷🏼

Very brave of you for coming out and speaking. I do have a few screenshots of way back of the new sherlock blogs that John interacted with. It is interesting that they are inactive or deleted now.

After finishing the Holmes arc today, I can say that this wasn’t my favourite Holmes, but definitely far from the worst I’ve ever seen (looking at you, Steven Moffat)

My favourite will forever be Herlock Sholmes from The Great Ace Attorney.

ACTUALLY! Do you know where the name Herlock Sholmes comes from? :D (please don’t take this as a “I know more than you” lecture and more as “French Lupin nerd gets to infodump about their special interest”)

He’s actually from the OG Arsène Lupin novels! Basically, Leblanc wanted to write a Lupin/Holmes crossover, but in his story Lupin won, and Doyle wasn’t super happy about his precious detective getting bested by a thief, so he asked Leblanc to take down the story.

To which Leblanc answered: “Sherlock Holmes? Don’t know him! This is Herlock Sholmes, my Totally Original Character That I Didn’t Copy Off Anyone”!”

And he got away with it.

Fast forward almost a century, and some guy from Japan named Kazuhiko Kato (aka Monkey Punch, you might ave heard of him) decides to write a manga about Lupin’s grandson. He tries to export it, and Leblanc’s estate immediately go “Nope, pay us royalties”. To which Monkey Punch and TMS answer “Lupin? Don’t know him! This is Rupan, my Totally Original Character That I Didn’t Copy Off Anyone”!” 

And they fucking got away with it.

Anyway I love the Doyle/Leblanc/Kato copyright loop so much <3

(Bonus: according to Wikipedia, Arsène Lupin was originally going to be named Lopin, except there was a campaigning politician named Arsène Lopin who heard about it and said to Leblanc “No the fuck you don’t”, to which Leblanc answered, you guessed it... “Lopin? Don’t know him! This is actually Lupin, totally different person, nothing to see here!” AND HE FUCKING GOT AWAY WITH IT.)
