just one thing to get out of the way first, i think eddie would be one those of people who say "i don't feel guilty about pleasure, what am i? catholic?" and act like he's above that.

with that being said, eddie does have quite a few.

i'd say sesame street is one of them, mostly because it's aimed for kids, and he's got a reputation to maintain, but he loves it. watches it whenever he has a chance, and he's super invested in it.

i could see eddie getting into romance novels, those old harlequin ones? with the shirtless hunks on the cover? i think he might have stumbled upon one accidentally, and then read it "ironically", but then he got invested in the plot and reads them occasionally. dustin might have caught him with one and he swears he'd rather have been caught with a porn mag.

@raccoonboywrites has a post about this but i agree wholeheartedly, but late night soap operas would definitely have him invested. he has difficulty sleeping and will be right there following every story line, every infidelity, secret twin, accidental pregnancy plots. talks to the tv too.

glam metal is an eddie guilty pleasure as well. he calls them posers but you will catch him singing some whitesnake in his van. but don't tell anyone.

Day Fourteen: Steve Rogers + Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Christmas morning was beautiful. Snow glistens on the ground outside. Making all of New York look like a snow globe. Your winter pajamas that were just a bit too big for you hung loosely on your frame. Dragging pants legs as you walked and your arms rolled up to your wrists so you could actually use your hands.

The smell of coffee and fresh cinnamon rolls filled the air when you left your shared bedroom with Steve. The hunk of a man was standing in your kitchen shirtless, wearing only his sweatpants. That's what he gets for being a super soldier. You wrapped your arms around his waist and pressed your cheek into his warm back.

The sound of sizzles caught your attention as you looked over Steves's shoulder to see that he was cooking up eggs and toast popped from the toaster oven. The first words to be spoken were the exact words you heard every morning. "Your coffee is over there," Steve said warmly as he nudged his head toward your steaming cup.

"The parade is already on the TV if you wanna get comfy while I finish breakfast." You hummed as you brought the cup of coffee to your lips, took a deep breath, and sipped the hot liquid.

Once more, you move towards the living room with your pants dragging against the floor, and when you make it to the couch, you tuck your heels under your butt and get comfy as you bump up the volume to the tv before the parade starts.

Steve was there in just a jiffy. Handling two plates filled with eggs, bacon, and toast alongside a cinnamon roll. Your mouth watered at the smell immediately, and you dug in before getting the entire plate in your lap.

The parade started, and you watched with glee as you did each year. Even though you could simply look out your window and see the massive balloons dance on the ground. You'd rather watch it on the TV. A tradition you'd been participating in since you were a little kid.

By the time the parade was over, the sun was high in the sky, and the two of you were still not out of your night clothes. "Should we open gifts now?" Steve asks as he returns from the kitchen to drop off the dirty dishes. Your thoughts for a moment. You had gotten Steve a few things. Living in a New York apartment meant no lawn to take care of, but it did mean that your boyfriend was a builder. He loved putting together stuff and needed a new toolset for his motorcycle sitting in the parking deck below you.

"I think so. We should definitely do it before we have to leave for Stark's party." You say, wadding yourself up in the comfy and warm blanket. The snow starts to fall again, setting a most beautiful backdrop to the afternoon of Christmas. The wrapping paper litters the floor as you get deeper under the tree. Jewlery had been Steve's thing for you this year. A matching necklace to go with your matching earrings. A new set of pajamas. He had laughed when you pulled them out of the box. "A pair that will actually fit you love." He teased.

"So there's just one more gift for the both of us." You muttered as you pulled out a box with your name on it and a box with his name on it. Both names are written in perfect, pristine cursive. "I want to open mine first." Steve rushed to say, "Of course!" This is the one you were waiting for. "I'm sure you're going to like it." You mutter as you watch him tear through the wrapping paper.

"My…" You can hear the hitch in Steve's voice for a moment. You stay silent with a warm smile on your face. "You found my dog tags?" He asks, looking up at you from his position on the floor. "Well, I didn't find them, but Bucky did. Said they had been stashed away in his belongings. Guess he kept them on him all those years." The smile grew on Steve's face as he crawled over to you, hugging you around your waist. You rubbed his hair gently and whispered 'I love yous' into his hair.

It took a moment for the heated moment to die before Steve pushed your gift into your lap. He stayed right there. You pulled back the wrapping paper. Letting you see a small brown box. "This better now be a box in a box." You tease. Steve only shakes his head as he plays with the dog tags in his plan.

It took you a moment to open the box without a proper pair of scissors or a box cutter. And Steve watched with ease. When you pulled the little box out, your heart started to race, and your vision became blurry. When you opened it, you froze.

A diamond ring set with smaller diamonds around it. The tears flew freely down your cheeks, and when you looked up at your boyfriend, he was standing on one knee. "This is a little unconventional, but I hope you say yes. Will you marry me?" You dropped the box onto the couch and jumped into his arms. Kissing his frantically. Muttering quiet 'yes' over and over again into his face,

"Good." His lips are on yours, and it feels like life is breathed into you. "Now put it on my hand." You say, jutting your hand out into his face. He quickly grabs the box as you pluck the rings from the box and slips it onto your finger with even more ease.

"It looks beautiful." You say to him and yourself as you look down at your left hand. "of course it does. It's as beautiful as it's weary." Steve says before grabbing your face and bringing you down for another passionate kiss.

"Aren't you glad you didn't wait till after Starks party!" Steve teases. "Oh, you're damn right. I'm glad I didn't wait. The girls are going to scream when they find out." Still staring down at the sparkling diamond on your hand.

⇝ a/n: wtf this is way longer than i meant it to be i just wanted a small blurb to get out my thoughts of izuku😭

⇝ synopsis: izuku is very very clingy when he's tired

you’re on the couch reading the new book you just bought when izuku comes home. the tv is on in the background, channel flipped to some random cartoon that you vaguely recognize from when you were a kid. you had just turned to a new page when you hear the distant sound of keys jingling, and then the front door opens.

you check the time, noticing it’s a little later than usual, and then your eyes move to watch him trudge through the door. when his eyes meet yours, he gives you a tired smile that isn’t quite as radiant as his others but just as sweet, and he toes off his shoes.

you fold the top right corner of the page you’re on in your book. “long day?”

he sighs, unzipping his costume and beginning to strip as he pads along to you. “somewhat.”

your heart squeezes for him. izuku — deku — who gives and gives and rarely takes. you know your eyes are sad. “aw, baby.” pushing your book to the side, you open your arms wide for him. “come here.”

izuku complies without hesitation, down to just his boxers, costume laying on the floor behind him. you know he’ll clean it up later. he settles on top of you, wrapping his arms around your middle and resting his head on your chest. your own arms go around him, head resting on top of his, unruly curls tickling your chin. he lets out a deep sigh, nuzzling into you and squeezing your body once. “hi baby.”

you smile. “hey izu.” your hand is running through his hair, careful not to pull on the tangled spots and you give him a kiss on the crown of his head.

he hums, “how was your day?”

you explain to him everything you did, although you had already updated him throughout the day with various texts and pictures, and he you. he still listens to every word you say, nodding his head and humming along, eventually falling asleep on you. you listen to his soft snores, smiling to yourself about how much you love him. his weight feels so comforting on you.

it’s a little while later when you need to pee, so you try to gently detach him from your body, maneuvering him as best as you can with how much he weighs with all those big muscles.

you know your attempts at gently moving him have failed though when he starts to stir, eyes opening revealing a beautiful viridescent. "baby?" he sits up and yawns, extending his arms out past his head to stretch. "what..." a cute yawn interrupts him. "what are you doing?"

“go to bed, izu." you cup his face to peck his forehead, moving to pull away but then stopped by his arms wrapping around you. he rests his head on your stomach, giving it a kiss.

"where are you going?" he mumbles against you.

"i gotta use the bathroom."

"okay." he hums, still not letting go of you.

you stifle a laugh, running a hand through his har. "you need ta let go of me in order for me to do that."

"...oh." reluctantly, he removes himself from your body, looking up at you with a sheepish smile.

you laugh harder this time, causing his smile to grow bigger. "be right back."

moving over to the bathroom, you flick the lights on, settling on the toilet. you're there for at least ten seconds before the door opens again, and in comes izuku, still shirtless, still pantsless. you ogle him as he struts in like its the most normal thing ever, and you don't even say anything as the hunk of man plops on the floor in front of you, crossing his legs.

"...izuku?!"

"yeah?" he scoots closer to you, yawning again and covering his mouth.

"um. what... are you doing?"

he only blinks owlishly at you, sleep still obvious in his eyes. "im waiting for you to finish."

your eyes widen, and you don’t know whether to laugh or be confused. “you couldn’t wait in the bedroom?”

he throws that smile at you. the smile that melts your heart and your defenses. the smile that makes you fall in love all over again every time. “i didn’t want to be away from you.”

your heart fills with even more love than you thought possible.

as you finish up, izuku alternates between watching your every move and smacking his head on the wall as he falls asleep.

you shake your head, chuckling softly as you look at him, his eyes half closed. "izu?"

he blinks a couple of times, coming back to reality. "hmm?"

"you wanna take a shower?" you reach out your hand to help him up, and his own — large and warm — swallows yours. he stands, muscles rippling. he doesn't answer, instead using his arm to pull you into him, and you land against his chest with an oof. he hugs you close to him, resting his head in the crook of your neck and breathing in deeply. his skin is warm against you.

you bring your own arms around him. "you're awfully clingy tonight, aren't you?"

"that’s cause i just love you so much." he kisses your head.

you smile. "love you too." you stay like this with him for what you assume is a few minutes, and once you think he's fallen asleep again on you, you bring up taking a shower again.

"later," he answers.

"you mean tomorrow?"

"tomorrow."

"okay, baby." you detach yourself from him, heart warming at the whine he lets out and how he tries to reconnect. you place your hand on his chest, pushing him back. "let's go to bed, izu."

he nods his head, and you grab his hand once again, shutting the lights and leading the way out to the bedroom. izuku obediently follows you and squeezes your hand.

you strip and settle into the comfortable bed with him, his legs tangling with yours. you end up on his chest and he's holding you tight like if he lets go you might just disappear.

it's silent for a few minutes until you hear him mutter a thank you.

you blink. "for what?"

"for... being here. loving me. letting me love you."

you melt. "of course. you know you don't have to thank me for that. if anything, thank you izuku. thank you." a moment passes.

"i love you."

"i love you too."
