Naruto Modern AU/Hollywood pt.2 - Kiri & The All-Star Team

There is a silent hierarchy among all countries and the terrible assumption that bigger countries are better than smaller ones. The large presence and funds of various territories, like the country of fire, wind, earth, and lightning, overwhelms and overshadows small nations, especially in sports where each country dominates certain disciplines.

The land of fire (Konoha): badminton, soccer, gymnastics, and martial arts

The land of lightning (Kumo): Tennis, basketball, and athleticism

The land of earth (Iwa): cross country, marathon, weightlifting, and cycling

But in the last decade, the land of water emerged in the sports scene. It was coming out of years of political conflict that left the country in shambles with record levels of poverty, putting them at the bottom of the economic ladder. Not only was it a smaller nation, but a lot of its endeavors and way of life were unknown to the rest of the world because of the long-lasting reign of violence that controlled the country for decades.

Well, Kiri has been perceived as "these islands far away" with the highest crime rate in the world for the longest but Its newly found peace brought interesting things; industrialization,  a new economy open to the world, the exportation of its products, but specifically the creation of various social classes. This was not the case before, since it was, the government/military vs the rest of the population in poverty.

This modernized economy brought the country a new middle class and other social statuses. It recently started experiencing the concept of celebrities like the rest of the world and most are athletes.

Being surrounded by large bodies of water, any form of water activity has always been intuitive to them. To the point where many accuse them of having a "genetic advantage". Athletes from Kiri/Country of Water can now join world competitions and are killing the game in the water department and making a serious name for their country. They are undefeatable in all forms of swimming kayaking, boat racing, surfing, diving, synchronized/artistic swimming, water polo, etc. Now most of the competitions for these sports are held there.

Kiri is getting recognized overseas for many things, but recently certain people have attained celebrity status for unconventional reasons building a solid international fan base

Haku is the new sensation in figure skating. A discipline Kiri started to dominate recently but the young man’s high level of skills made him reach first place in all competitions. His likeability, pure heart, and pretty looks opened many doors for him, he often features in variety shows and commercials. He is also a good friend of the #1 YouTuber/streamer and boxer Naruto Uzumaki and often appears on his channel

Ever since basketball was invented, Kumogakure dominated the sport, but in the past year, the mysterious national basketball team of Kiri has made a name for themselves.

Overnight, a team of 195 cm tall men came out of nowhere and climbed up the world ranking to second place. The team’s name is the Swordsman of the Mist and the current coach is Gengetsu Hozuki It may not seem like it, but many of the members have interesting inheritances and backgrounds.

Kisame Hoshigaki: leader and tallest. Surprisingly decent from a prestigious clan from Kiri. Kisame is an academic genius, who has a diploma in biology from the most prestigious universities in the country of Water but decided to use the basketball scholarship he received instead.

His son Shizuma Hoshigaki is a part-time social media influencer. He is problematic in his own way, but not enough to be canceled yet. Shizuma is not worried because he is a trust fund kid but wishes to outshine his father as a professional swimmer. The jokes write themselves since he barely practices the sport but is among the greatest and fastest the world has to offer (his shark DNA, I guess). He is dating Raiga’s daughter Buntan, and her father is really salty about it

Zabuza Momochi: nobody knows about his background. He is the most muscular. Him and Kisame get the most brand deals and promotions. Zabuza is also one of Haku’s coaches. He took him under his wing under unknown circumstances. He is the first to recognize the boy’s unique talent and aiding him in his journey as an athlete regardless of their differences. Zabuza always had a sweet spot for Haku and considered him like a son. So, he is often absent to prioritize the figure skater’s training.

Kisame knows Zabuza well, they are lifelong friends. The leader lets him get away with missing practices (even if it drives their coach insane). His best friend is a man of a few words, and above all works extremely hard and exercises double their training schedule in his own free time.

Juuzo Biwa: He is the third star player along with Kisame and Zabuza (The Killer Trio). He has no sense of personal space. Ironically, he is the wealthiest because he owns a successful brand of luxury cars coveted by the new high class. He is genuinely funny, and the variety show's favorite.

Raiga: Loudest laugh. Lost a lot of money due to his jewelry addiction. He smokes a pack with the blood of his enemies. The mother of his child is still getting child support payments, and he is bitter, even if they’re legally separated.

Because of His herratic behaviour and anger issues, he is kinda of a self-made outcast. The other members can cooporate as co-workers and teamates but nothing beyond that (Raiga has is own circle of friends). Since Raiga is so unhinged, no matter their coach's efforts, him and Zabuza do not get along.

Hassaku Onomichi: professional dunker. He befriended a lot of Kumo basketball players. He often gets caught up in beefs with anyone.

The popularity of the basketball team has offered them fans all across the world for their incredible talent, pleasant chemistry, unique sense of humor, and good looks to the point where tabloids from Konoha have launched a misinformation campaign to stain their image and effort to defend their basketball teams after getting constantly crushed by those "foreigners".

The last match of the International Basketball League’s series opposing The Swordmen of the Mist from Kiri against The Lightnings from Kumo was the most anticipated and heated match ever organized. Taking place in Konoha, it made record engagement and attendance. For the first time in history, Kumo lost the finale to first timers. The news traveled all across the world and, certified Kiri’s team's celebrity status since they won.

With their success, many shady investors like Gato started to take interest in basketball as a means of proposing Kiri overseas and for other shady dealings. The weight of all those rumors pushed many fans who knew Gato’s involvement in Haku’s career to beg him to change his manager/owner ASAP.

synopsis: it's 2 a.m., he just came home from a long day (and night, considering it's the next day now) ready to hit the hay, but you're already sleeping beyond waking.

After a day-long of NXX investigations consisting of running around Stellis and some surrounding places, Artem didn't have the heart to let (y/n) continue working that day. After they finished arranging and discussing their findings, Artem told her to go home first.

"You must be tired. Go home first. I'm going to take care of a few documents first."

"It's okay, Mr. Wing. I also have some documents to—"

One glare from senior attorney Artem Wing and (y/n) just nodded in compliance. Or should be said, boyfriend Artem Wing; that title emphasized the affection implied in his instruction and it was imperative to be followed.

"Oh, Artem?" (y/n) head popped again at Artem's office door after she left to gather her belongings. "Can I have the keys?"

Only around five hours later, in the 2 a.m. stillness of the corridor outside his penthouse, that conversation hit him like a truck.

That's why I didn't have the keys with me, he thought to himself. We usually go home together and I'll open the door...

Artem couldn't help but to chuckle. So this was what Celestine meant by 'not living the bachelor's life' anymore. Now you have another person's businesses directly affecting your life and yours affecting hers, down to the small thing like entering your own house. Well, not really yours anymore...more like ours?

Artem shuddered. Wow, wasn't that so affectionate for being thought by him. Guess being close with (y/n) indeed had been affecting him. Not that he didn't like it though. It was nice to be able express something that once so unfamiliar with him.

Between all the thoughts, he reached for his phone. His thumb hovered over her number. Should he call her to open the door? But that meant he would be disturbing her sleep. Maybe he could go back to the law firm and pull an all-nighter, or he could just sleep there; he has slept in his office a few times when handling though cases, usually on his chair, or his sofa could also do. Or maybe—

His phone vibrated. (Y/n).

"Hello?"

"Hi Artem. You're not coming home yet?"

"I...I am home."

"What?"

"I'm outside. I don't have the keys,so—"

Hurried footsteps are heard from inside the penthouse. Then he heard rattling keys, and the door opened. (Y/n) was standing behind the door, still in her office attire.

"Artem, I'm sorry!" She spoke in hoarse voice while letting Artem inside. "I only remembered that you don't have the keys when I was already home. I waited for you to come home so I can open the door for you, but I fell asleep for hours!"

Artem looked at her. "You waited for me?"

She nodded. "I thought letting the door be unlocked is kind of unsafe, so I hanged in the living room, so I can hear you when you arrive, but...yeah, I'm so sorry!"

Her life affecting his and his affecting hers. And because her life is important for him, his life is important for her. If not, she would not have waited for him like this.

Artem smiled softly as warmth crept to his cheek. "You don't need to be sorry. It's not anyone's fault, really."

Dumbfounded by his smile, (y/n) found her right cheek stroked by his hand. Another hand wrapped her waist into his embrace. His chin resting on her neck.

"Instead, I should thank you for waiting for me. I really appreciate it."

Artem's hug tightened. (Y/n) wrapped his shoulders in return.

"You're very welcome."

A simple contentment, but so precious to be experienced.

Oh, how happy I am to have you as my home.

I actually don't remember whether Artem's penthouse uses the traditional key and keyhole or something like fingerprint/PIN. If it's the latter, this whole fic is busted lol. Let us just pretend for the sake of fluffy domestic love story about senior attorney Artem Wing.

I also find that being consistent with the prompt is so hard. Rosa should be sleeping through the whole ordeal of her boyfriend being unable to enter the house, yet here she is doing the total opposite.

For some reason, animals hate Shizuma, they growl at him, look at him badly or scratch him, the only exception is marine animals, which is why he was never able to have an animal like a dog or cat in his childhood.

Ship Headcanons: Dominic/Lucien

Lucien fell first, Dominic fell harder

Lucien’s compliments kinda fly over Dominic’s head (he’s not an arts person unfortunately)

Initially when he felt shy Dominic tried to stand at full height (183 cm vs 180 cm) for some sort of advantage but it didn’t work because Dominic folds like a lawn chair at just about anything

Met in NRC, though Lucien was a year ahead. I imagine it’s the cliche of “nothing in common except for having the same secret hiding spot.” Dominic may have also used to call Lucien “Lu-chan-senpai”.

Dominic being oblivious to Lucien’s advances is a running joke especially with the other relationship drama among the staff (namely Ice Skeleton)

In actuality, Dominic did pick up on some of them but just didn’t want to acknowledge it out of embarrassment + “nah, probably overthinking” + running from his feelings in general

Lucien’s devotedness kinda scared Dominic when they first started dating. They had a big argument over that actually (which was more like Dominic being fed up and Lucien trying to make things better but backfiring with Dominic’s mood); “You’re mine so treat me the way *I* want to be treated and not how *she* wanted to be treated!” “There’s a difference between being in a relationship and being an ass-kisser, dumbass.”

Dominic secretly googling the literature references Lucien uses towards him. He doesn’t get it but he’s trying

While brainstorming ideas I’ve come to the realisation that they are kinda Therapy Game-coded, specifically the scene where Shizuma’s drying Minato’s hair in the hotel room and Minato rubs his face against Shizuma’s hand like a cat.

Dominic always using the “I’m younger/I’m your junior” excuse to get Lucien to do things for him but gets flustered when Lucien takes the initiative to do things for him (“stop stop stop what are you doing-“)

i use he and she pronouns for kushimaru because of the vibes

the sewing needle is one of those swords that's like how do you passively hold that. kubikiribocho and hirameikari have back straps but nuibari would just slide out. hebiichigo seals it into her sleeve but what does kushimaru do! get blisters

really though i love the way he uses his arm warmers to move the thread and change the needle's direction midair because it implies they're made of something really densely knit, like kevlar, and are armor themselves. not to mention it's just cool as hell

not to even mention the audacity. of Everything about kushimaru. the killing people for fun. killing her sensei for fun?? for what?? and the cackling, and the pedantic jokes, and cutting jinpachi's feet off also probably for fun. if you like fucked up guys kushimaru will bring you so much joy.

side note using wire to tear flesh and viscera is such an underrated weapon, used more in naruto than others but it's good to see kushimaru with it even if that's not the main part of the weapon bc it's just so him. it's so BRUTAL but really cool

ok but headcanons bc we've basically covered everything canon

so, there are two ways to think about "the heartless duo" who murdered their loved ones: they did it for purely their own gain (or because they were assholes) or because Fuguki put them up to it, and instead of it breaking their trust like killing the cypher division did to Kisame, they just let it become part of their lore. they're cool with it, is what i mean. somehow these two are uniquely evil despite zabuza and kisame's crimes and ameyuri's constant talk of hunting people (not counting fuguki here because it's unclear how many crimes he directly committed and how much anyone knew about them)

i do love the kurirares were giants theory, bc i like a kiri in which everyone is a little monstrous and the islands are haunted by spirits and critters. i have a kushimaru grandma design (though she's not literally her grandma, more like a distant ancestor that's still kicking around due to magic reasons). they're not close but she likes to see him once in awhile.

do i think kushimaru and jinpachi were boyfs. yes. for fun. i think all the swordsmen were dating each other to some degree other than the tiny guys ofc

speaking of tiny guys ameyuri is Pissed Off at how tall kushimaru is and has started fights for no other reason but that. kushimaru thinks it's endearing

ameyuri is also kind of their darling. jinpachi n kushimaru can't stay mad at her.

i kind of think about the swordsmen as ingroup/outgroup, in which fuguki, ameyuri, jinpachi, jinin, kushimaru, and mangetsu to a certain extent were the in group (the ones best suited for kiri's brutality/made it work for them rather than trying to change it) which ostracized to some extent the out group, consisting of zabuza, kisame, juzo, and raiga, who Were Not Cool with how kiri was and eventually left to do their own thing. does that mean i think the in group was purely loyal to kiri? no, they were all working more for their own gain than that of kiri (shizuma's a lot like them in that lol) but it's not like they would willingly move anywhere else.

and to the point, the in group was fairly close with the other members (other than probably fuguki.) they were besties, they were worsties. sometimes they kissed.

and having said that, let's talk about kushimaru's mask and how having a visible scar seems to not be something they do in kiri, they cover that shit up, making me think that a) kushimaru has scars on her face and b) it's a huge deal when he decides to show people. not much kissing done by this one

eating around other people too was a Thing. not that much of a thing, because people acknowledge that you gotta eat even if you're showing your scars, but she just lifted the mask over his lips and that left him completely blind which wasn't all that fun

also i have a crack headcanon that she can only see out of one eye, just because i wanted her to mirror jinpachi

how did he get these scars? getting kidnapped and uh. t&i'd during the hunter nin years. if there was any part of her that was loyal to kiri over herself that died after that event, especially because it trapped him permanently behind a mask in social settings. in protest of this, she shows as much skin as possible, which isn't all that much because kiri is Fucking Cold but still more than 95% of non-hozuki kiri denizens

i don't know what her childhood was like im going to be honest, it could have been any number of things but that's not my area of headcanons

a little bit about kushimaru in my various aus:

in fashion au he's the co-owner of the pirate lolita fashion brand Deeps and wears ouji.

in furry au she's a hybrid of a manta ray and a barn owl (the former because of the vibes, the latter because of the mask-like shape of the face and the overall creepy look this creature pair would produce.) he works at a nightclub with the rest of the swordsmen, the only other one that has a species is jinpachi who's a wobbegong

i want to talk about skater au but that one is so just. brainrot based exclusively that i don't know if i can articulate what's going on there

I like that one headcanon that the Butsuma's wife was a Hatake and that Tobirama basically just steals his mother's surname and creates a separate clan using it. or well that's assuming that's what that person did. I mean there had to be a reason to make the Senju brothers' mother a Hatake :3

i mean he was calm enough and sensible enough to be allowed to teach young kids and now hes crazier than a shithouse rat. so what the actual fuck shizuma?

here me out because i think it has something to do with Samehada

like do you notice the downward spiral into frootloops starts pretty much as soon as he picks up the sword?

for most of the time we see him in the first episodes hes ...fairly calm and collected. people know hes usually up to no good given by how causally he talks about being on Penance ( i mean hes probably done it before) but i dont think anyone thought he was anything more than a trouble maker. Mei and chojuros reactions upon seeing the stripe squads names written in blood on the walls is more like “ what are these pesky kids up to now” rather than being actually worried 

im really torn between thinking shizuma is an actual threat  and hes just a stupid kid. on the one hand he got taken out by 2 genin while he was using samehada. Chojuro himself says shizuma doesn't know what the shit hes doin with that thing. 

but on the other hand he was proven to be murdering people that disagreed with him and he clearly had quite a few supporters. so fair to middling threat? more like hes a scapegoat for the stuff going on in the background. like i mentioned before i think someone is pulling his strings and praying on the fact hes a kid and just wants things to go back to the blood mist for shallow reasons.

i am convinced that wielding samehada made him a bit nutty and unstable. samehada has been repeatedly shown to be capable of sentient thought. it can even choose its owner.

it is also capable of being “hungry” for chakra. its possible that all that time spent in a lock box after the war made samehada starving, to the point it would latch onto the first source of chakra it came across to feed on.

is it possible that some of the chakra that samehada ate at one point has been transfered back to shizuma? maybe the person whos chakra it ate was the opposite to shizumas and hes having some sort of chakra allergic reaction?

or maybe its to do with his own chakra. the more he loses to samehada the more desperate he gets and his calm facade comes crashing down?

 i mean he does totally forget about samehada in an attempt to stab boruto with that ice sword. its only after kagura gets involved and reminds him what hes about to lose does he jump back and call samehada back to him. 

then things go really mouth over ass. samehada swallows him whole and shizuma totally loses himself.

i mean technically he did get the rampage he wanted after all.

now you could chalk this up to shizuma being backed into a corner and being forced to realize hes not going to get what he wants and that alone would be enough to drive someone as driven as him to madness.

given what the other wielders of samehada are like its safe to say shizuma is VERY different from bee or kisame. bee and kisame were fairly calm and collected ( i wont say cool because rappers are nerds and kisame was itachis attack dog) and shizuma isnt really any of those things.

or maybe im talking nonsense and being mad as a sack of cats is just a prerequisite for being a swordsman of the mist  coughraigaburriedpeoplealivecough

TL:DR i think something about wielding samehada made shizuma nuts. it was either the chakra consumption or the stress of wielding such a powerful sword or maybe just the fear of what might happen if he failed.

Boruto headcanons of when Kagura Karatachis younger sister age five was approached by a weirdo older than her (Shizuma) and got too close to her personal space and Kaguras reaction to noticing her discomfort of that as Isobu seemed to react very badly as well inside of his younger sister and..as expected the pervert got shoved away from her using two of Isobu's tails..maybe too hard and the five year old unconsciously did that with using Isobu without realising that she may have injured Shizuma's pride of being seriously injured by a little girl and almost killing him as well. It brought back horrible memories of what the last person almost did to her and Kaguras sister backed away sensing danger.

Headcanons

You were a shy little thing and rarely went outside of your house;

Today you gathered all of your corage and went to visit your brother Kagura at the academy of Kirigakure;

While you were looking around the ground you were aproached by an unfamiliar shinobi Shizuma, who claimed to be a friend of your grother's;

"Amazing, even your hair is the same colour as his!" he marveled whilst brushing his fingers through your hair making you more and more uncomfortable;

"I wonder whether your chakra nature matches his as well, huh sweet thing." he wondered out aloud;

Kagura finally took notice of how uncomfortable you were with Sizuma and upon seeing the deformity coming out of your back he practically ran to his colleague;

Shizuma turned his head towards a running Kagura, being fully taken aback bby the guy's outburst;

Suddenly a stream of blood forced it's way out of Shizuma's mouth and nose as two of your three tails went through his abdomen and pinned him against a wall, injuring some of the by-standers in their way;

Kagura unsheathed his sword and cut straight through the tails, thus severing the chakra link and making the severed end to decay;

He acted quickly and injected your neck with superssants to stop the flow of the orange chakra;

Shizuma woke up at a hospital bed with a patched up hole in his chest and five broken ribs;

He was still in a somewhat crytical condition for the next week, after which the danger period was over;

Kagura had visited him once to check up on his health as well as banned him from any shinobi activities, so that Shizuma could focus on his health;

Whilst Shizuma sat outside at the hospital territory, he couldn't decide wether it was more painful to be so easily beaten by a child or having his ribs broken.

Innaugural Ultraman Trigger Headcanons

As a child, Carmeara loved making mud pies and scrapping with the other Giants of Darkness. Although it clashes with her glamorous, whip-happy persona in the present day, she’s going to keep the tomboyishness forever.

Mr Shizuma was definitely Ultraman Tiga’s host at one point.

Kengo is the sort of person who cheers after a successful shuttle flight to Earth. He’s going to charm everybody in GUTS SELECT and become their unofficial little brother.

Kengo’s mother definitely knows more than she’s letting on, and unrelatedly has to fight her suitors off with a stick. My half-baked theory is that she was the original Camearra.

Hang on, what if Mr Shizuma was Camearra? Or one of the other Heisei era Giants of Darkness?

baby hoshigaki are a hilarious concept.

like, realistically speaking, the birth-capable parent just squats in the water and out comes a small litter of pups who can already swim, see, and fend for themselves ( to a degree ). perhaps some strains of hoshigaki still produce eggs. 

but that ain’t what this post is about.

the funnier idea is a pregnant hoshigaki talking to you and then abruptly pausing and saying “hey can you pass me that aquarium over there?” and you’re like yeah sure and then they drop their pants and squeeze out a baby while continuing the conversation.

hoshigaki pups can socialize with other children, but they must be kept under strict observation unless you want little maria over there to be missing some fingers and toes. their concept of playing is very dangerous for non-hoshigaki, and at such a young age they can’t comprehend their strength. they cannot play in water with other children for a few years. when the babies are submerged their shark instincts take over, meaning no one is safe; it’s an evolutionary trait that assured their survival before the hoshigaki permanently moved onto land.

the first three to five years of their lives they’re like giant, dangerous kittens: easily distracted by rapid motion, will squeak and peep incesantly at you if they hear you open a can of meat/tuna/whatever until you feed them, bite you way too much when playing, easily overstimulated while playing which leads them to bite you for real and then you have to spend the next ten minutes rubbing their jaws and putting pressure on the cinch points to get them to release their bite ( which might take longer if the child in question hasn’t figured out how to unlock their jaw yet ).

He has gill-shaped birth marks on his cheeks that he hates and covers with makeup more often than not.

Got the scar on his chest from a swimming accident at sea wherein he was pulled into a riptide and a sharp piece of coral sliced open his chest.

ok so here are some of the head canons ive been working on for shizuma. im def going to do all of the stripe squad and im probably going to update this after next  weeks ep if we see what happens to them         

very much dating buntan. Their fav activity is (besides being sassmasters) is watching fireworks and the fountain displays in the old parts of Kiri

however theyre both pretty loved starved and have no idea how to have a real relationship so it eventually peters out to them just being cuddle friends

its pretty cold and wet in kiri so getting good tea and coffee is hard. His favourite brand actually comes from Suna but hes loath to admit it because FORIGN GOODS

those little gills on the side of his face didn’t appare until puberty but now they pop in constanly. When he gets happy they wiggle, when he gets sad or crys sometimes they dribble like a runny nose and sometimes when he sneezes they pop in suddenly and scare the hell out of everyone because sneeze is suddenly X12 LOUDER.

His favorite food is Unagi  (barbeque grilled river-eel) which is hard to get in the salty ocean surrounded land of water . 

He tells people he likes fugu because he likes to live dangerously but secretly he’d rather have Takoyaki  from that one little place on the pier.

He really doesn’t eat red meat since its really hard to rear in kiri and really expencive . however if someone offered it to him he’d probably eat it

However if you offer him gobo( burdock root) or Nasu ( egg plant) he will throw them at you in disgust

Fun fact about Hoshigakis is that some of them are more like sharks than others. Some of them suffer from Tonic immobility . so for example If someone were to boop shizuma on the nose he’d be stuck until they decided to move.

100% confirmed cuddle monster who doesn’t understand the meaning of the word “ personal space. He also has the rest of the stripe squad as bad as he is.

Not a morning person tbh. Cant function before 10am and needs at least 2 cups of coffee to get going.

The reason he was on Penance during the fiend trip arc was because he messed up an important peace building mission to Iwa. He pretended it was an accident but no one was buying it.

After the field trip arc he was demoted back to Genin.

He says hes 18 during the field trip arc but hes actually a few months shy of 18 . hes just tryna act older since hes the youngest of the stripe squad .

The Hoshigaki clan is actually Matriarchal, as with sharks irl. Female hoshigaki are stronger and have more chakra on average. The more women of high ninja rank in the family the more say they have

There are a lot of twins  and triplets in the hoshigaki Clan as sharks tend to have multiple bbys

Shizumas parents struggled to have children and when they did it was just one boy, shizuma. Because of this  shizumas family hold little sway over the decisions of the clan which his parents are a little bit bitter about

Speaking of his family they are kind of jerks. His mom is fairly important, she does love shizuma but since hes not a girl she doesn’t really pay him any heed because whats the point???

she would be the first to voice her annoyance if he did anything less than perfect on a mission or exam because how dare you son of mine????

His dad on the other hand is an abusive asshole. He constantly undermines shizuma for even the smallest failure and constantly telling him he needs to change and be better but fails to acknowledge shizuma when he succeeds at anything. If shizuma speaks back its likely he’ll be hit or punished in someway

Because of this He was genuinely hurt by Kaguras suggestion that he could change as the whole reason behind his attempted coup  was because his dad told him he needed to change and he did so now hes all confused and which is it??? Change back to a failure in his parents eyes or a traitor to the village???

The only time his dad is even the slightest bit kind is when shizuma asks to hear about how the village used to be during the blood mist days. Shizuma has grown up with tales of the glory days and now obviously idolizes it.

This is one of the main reasons he wants things to go back to how they were in the past

Neither of his parents went to his Chunin exam graduation or his appointment to instructor at the academy .

They were also PISSED after the whole field trip incident . outwardly they support the village or at least the clan does. They turned the air blue yelling at him about disrespecting the village and stealing something as valuable and dangerous as samehada , esp since he didn’t earn it

But behind closed doors they were more angry that shizuma got caught and wasn’t able to wield samehada with any kind of skill.

If shizuma had succeeded they would have chalked it up to a Clan victory rather than shizumas own accomplishments  but since he failed its all his problem and hes  useless and shameing the clan

After merging with samehada his chakra pathway was damaged meaning he now has trouble performing even the most basic ninjutsu like walking on water(ill go into this more later or in another head canon thing because its 0015 and im tired)

Little bit of a masochist .too young for the NASTY™ but would def be into the whole whips and chains thing ( should this go in a NSFW HC list or something???)
