kinda frustrating how we've spent the last few months acknowledging how a lot of well intentioned but guilt trippy social justice posts are like specifically designed to worm into ocd ppls brains and then now every single post abt palestine is "i dont care how bad your mental health is, i dont care how bad looking at all this makes you feel, if you don't read every single post you see on this topic in full you are a horrible person and directly contributing to their deaths. 'waaaah my mental health' well at least youre not being bombed, did you think about that??" and its like. i absolutely get where youre coming from but you dont get to complain that guilt tripping is bad then turn around and use it anyways because you think the cause youre using it for is worthwhile. like. everyone thinks the cause theyre using it for is worthwhile, thats why theyre using it. but its still a shit way to do it

coming from a bday party, about to go to sleep but heres some solid advice:

If someone tells you to stop calling you a nickname they are uncomfortable with and all the other ones tell you not to do it as well but you keep on doing it: thats an asshole move.

Also a reminder: Don't touch people after them telling you to stop, even if they are your friends.

I am happy I have friends who stand up to me if I get uncomfortable with something another friend does. But I hate I come back from a hangout feeling very angry about my boundaries (and others) being ignored over and over.

You deserve to decided how people interact with you.

Me, gritting my teeth as I do my best to ignore the fact that I have been battling my own brain particularly intensely (a mental health crisis that is ongoing, due to life circumstances that cannot be changed) and the many other responsibilities that have been stressing me out as of late so I can instead throw myself into the middle of a complex, inflammatory conflict between two groups I care about that is threatening to have a horrific amount of emotional collateral in part due to the fact that no one else has been willing to step up as a mediator: Wow, just like in Pentiment

Since a lot of harassment has been happening lately I wanted to say something aside from the obligatory "don't harass real people over fictional characters."

That being: Feysand shippers PLEASE calm down. Contrary to popular opinion, Feylin is actually a REALLY unpopular ship. One artists are not, actually, ITCHING to draw. While I can't speak for what's happening on other social media platforms, I can say that here, on tumblr, there are 6 people who actively ship + make content for Feylin. Not crackshippers who ship everything, and not Tamlin stans who are their own seperate group (and many of whom actually don't like Feylin from what I've seen), but for people who GENUINELY ship Feylin because we like book 1 and the dynamic presented there... there are 6 of us here making content. along with the stealthshippers who lurk for Feylin content. hi y'all

Jumping to conclusions by assuming people do, and then harassing them, is both cruel and stupid because there's a 90% chance the person you're harassing hates Feylin too. Calm down, stop making assumptions, leave people alone. And let people stan and ship whoever they want.
