just saw someone accusing people of content farming. on tumblr.com. girl, farm what? the soil here is bone dry.

#especially funny because the person wasn't even accusing like gif makers who rush to get sets out after a new episode dropped #(though that would still strike me as dumb just given the effort gifmaking takes even if the person is doing it quickly)#they were complaining about fellow bloggers in their very small fandom circle #i guess it's content farming now to make posts about something you and your mutuals enjoy #and again: farm what?#corporate sponsors? for your tumblr blog?#followers? on the website where follower counts aren't visible?#and the people who are interested in this very niche topic are probably all following you anyway?#words just don't mean anything anymore i guess #a shout into the void #i feel i'm getting heated about this for little reason but the post just came across as very mean-spirited and nonsensical #and sometimes this website can get so snide and catty like we forget where exactly we are

I feel like trying to imitate cool things you see others do in art is a big part of the process in learning how you like to create and do things. So ye, if you ever feel bad for taking some light inspo off of my art aesthetics, don't! As long as you're not outright tracing or reposting, I really don't mind!
