Found a fantasy picrew and wondered what Artie could look like into adulthood. By then he's grown to be a dutiful king. He'd probably grow facial hair (and be very proud of it) as well as longer hair. A long while since I found a shade more accurate to his movie hair XD. Seriously I either make it too light or too dark

I would make one for Rhodanthe but there's only three shades and none of them align with hers 🙃😬 seriously what is up with Picrews and lack of brown tones???

Anyways I know y'all probably tired of me using picrews but my tablet died and until I can get a new charger I'm unable to draw. I can do it traditionally but I'm pretty bad at drawing men. By the way I'm thinking changing Artie's voice. Since Harold and Lillian have accenfs I think it make sense for Artie to have one too. And I don't really like JT's performance, I think he's better at doing Branch. Perhaps Taron Egerton, he can sing and it won't be the first time he plays an animated character with daddy issues!

“I know.”

Rhodanthe groaned as her natural body rhythms roused her from her sleep. Working on the farm trained her skill to wake up before the sun did. She really didn't want to leave her comfortable bed, especially the pair of bare arms wrapped around her form. She felt Artie's warm breath in her neck. The memories of last nights events made her shiver in delight. He had been very generous as always. She loved that about him even if he didn't feel like loving himself some days she still filled that void. And he filled her void of loneliness with his honesty and charm.

She turned herself gently to face him. He looked so peaceful, angelic even, his blond hair wide in the satin pillows. Rhodanthe grinned still can't believing how lucky she was to be married to a guy like him.

He must've known she would be up, since he also opened his eyes briefly before closing them again. Artie was not an early bird like she was. Even after becoming king he had a hard time overcoming his insomnia.

"It's five am," he murmured.

"I know." Rhodanthe snuggled into him closely. "I don't wanna go."

"Then don't." Artie yawned. "The kingdom can survive a few more hours without us."

The brunette mage tsked before bringing her face to brush her nose against his. "I guess, I'm just not used to sleeping in late."

"I can teach you how," Artie cooed. To her (welcomed) surprise he flipped her over until he was on top. "First lesson...."

True, the kingdom would last a few hours without the once and future king and his Swan Princess. But even young love had to stop somewhere. It was 10 by the time they got dressed and ready to go. They both got an earful from Aunt Lillian for being late but they only exchanged the same satisfied expression knowing it was worth it.

I don’t know why…but this scene from le morte de Arthur just reminds me so much of that one moment in shrek 2, so enjoy the really rough sketch.

Like this has to be one of the weirdest days of Arthur’s life so far.

Pellinore is somehow the character I find the funniest through no fault of his own.

Hello, I’m here to talk about Sherek 3. I was watching the movie (I’m that little part of humanity that enjoys this movie).

This symbol can be visualised in Charming s garments

This is the flower of Lis, a very representative flower of the French crown and this is much more interesting because:

Artie Pendragon (clearly it is a parody of King Arthur the most famous character of the legends and myths of U.K.

Shrek has a small Scottish accent (Scotch belongs to U.K.)

Another thing I notice is that in the final show. Where Charming plans to kill the other Shrek and proclaim himself king. Wear these clothes.

RED. And who uses this colour from its presentation to the end?

Arthur Pendragon (Artie Pendragon).

My headcanon Artie design done in picrew. He a little biracial in my au. The cup is a reference to Shrek 4 where it was explained that he went off to find the holy grail.

The Once and Future Couple 👑🦆

Out of my OTPs this is the one that I want to get more into. I feel that if Artie ever gets a love interest it would be someone who accepts all of him not just because he's king. That's where Rhodanthe comes in. This is what they would look like during Shrek 4/post canon. As the future king and queen Artie and Rho work together to reform the knights of the round table to be more inclusive and honorable. They go on quests to help magical creatures, ogres and peasants, as well as overlooking the villain rehab program.

However their relationship isn't perfect, as they find themselves to busy to hang out. In Forever After Artie even risks putting their relationship in jeopardy after arguing over his refusal to attend the triplets party. But in the end they work out their issues because they've been through a lot together.

I tried to make Artie's outfit as close to his concept art as possible. I made two versions of Rho's dresses: white to symbolize her role as the Swan Princess & pink as her personal theme color. As far as ship names go I refer to them as the "Red Couple" or scarletswanshipping.

What if Artie in Shrek 4ever After?

Artie was going to appear in Shrek Forever After but was cut bcuz of time (and bcuz of his less-than-stellar reception by the fanbase) so I decided to out my own spin. He's still learning how to be king and pressures into finding a suitable spouse. He wanys to marry my OC Rhodanthe so he woos her with a garden party. However their relationship hits a wall when he refuses to attend the triplets party. Rhodanthe goes on without him. After some old enemies muck up the timeline, Artie is no longer the once and future king but a Black Knight hunting down the Resistance. So now it's up to Shrek, and Rhodanthe and Gwynn (Charming's love interest) to restore the timeline.

I used concept art of his Shrek 4 design to make the picrew. He's at a garden party he threw to woo his love interest, my OC Rhodanthe XD
