A young Finarfin, sanest of the Noldor (the bar is low). Poor guy, victim of youngest-sibling-forced-to-take-responsibility-bc-of-crashout-older-siblings disease.
I see him wearing a lot of pearls and coral. His crown is made of twisted silver, coral, and pearl accents.

You can’t tell me the idea of Curvo going ‘shit I have feelings for this woman that must mean I’m in love, gotta get married then’ isn’t 100% accurate.

TA Elven Lords alignment chart
Thranduil: tries to be neutral idgaf, but cares too much to succeed. Also, if anyone dares to touch his little leaf all hell will break loose
Galadriel: many think she is lawful good. In reality she is chaotic fuck you. Valar know all about that
Celeborn: chaotic bastard. The wisest, the most sweet and considerate elf. How did he manage to be both at the same time? Nobody knows
Elrond: lawful tired. He could’ve been lawful good, but he has to deal with Elladan and Elrohir on a daily basis. Please, just leave him alone and let him rest
Bonus:
Legolas is lawful yolo
Elladan and Elrohir are chaotic and lawful dumbasses, but they influence each other so much, that both can be considered neutral.

Silm Alignment Chart: Chaotic Good

Disturber of the Peace
Faster turnaround on this one but someone suggested Gandalf and I was hit on the head by divine inspiration. He's got a simpler outfit but I added star and teardrop patterns embroidery to represent Varda and Nienna.
Next Up: Lawful Neutral! comment suggestions below!

Imma let you finish, but-
Ok, I disagreed somewhat with some placements, and think this a cool idea, so I wanted to do one based on my perception. And explain my choices to switch some up. Disclaimer, I don’t mean to be like “YOU’RE WRONG!” Please take this addition as more of an “Interesting, I see it differently and here’s why”
Tumblr media
LAWFUL GOOD: I added Lindon, because second age realms were included so why not the capital of Elvendom in Eriador?
NEUTRAL GOOD: I scooched Nargathrond over to Neutral Good, because while I think Finrod is Chaotic good, his realm is hidden and stays out of shit. This alignment difference is between the ruler and the people is what allowed the Feanorians to drive the wedge in and get them to betray Finrod. Then Orodreth was definitely Neutral until the embodiment of Chaos in the form of Turin came along.
Rivendell gets to stay here, even though I think some of their actions can be considered chaotic and some more lawful. There is more diversity in Rivendell than any elven realm both of types of elves and other races, and you know they embrace a little chaos as a result. (Eregion probably had a similar thing going but the refugees of Eregion were the founders of Rivendell under a mixed race lord so that’s not shocking).
Eregion has been split in part because it’s the only Elven Realm that gets the Sauron manipulation treatment that so many mannish realms get and I wanted to acknowledge that. Ousting Celeborn is probably the point I’d choose as the flip in alignment, because Sauron’s poison takes time.
CHAOTIC GOOD: And here we have the rest of the Arafinwion ruled realms.
Lothlorien is an active combatant in the third age especially, Galadriel being Sauron’s biggest adversary, so I think Neutral is a little too mild for their contributions. Also Galadriel’s ring directly shaping the realm gives her personality a much stronger hold on the character of the place than Finrod proved to have in Nargathrond, and visitors are greeted with blindfolds until they’re cleared and then immediately Haldir switches to tour guide mode and honestly if that’s not chaotic what is?
We don’t know much about Dorthonian as Aegnor and Angrod aren’t big focus characters, but they are the only non-Feanorians (correct me if I’m wrong) who get fire descriptors, and they’re absolutely the most gung-ho Arafinwions, Finrod being more mellow (until he’s not) and Galadriel being more calculating. So this was an assumption that their burning personalities would shape their realm.
LAWFUL NEUTRAL: This alignment was what inspired me to do this, because I found it egregious that Gondolin, the realm notorious for using strict laws to protect their ability to hide and remain neutral, was not here. Everything else I’m like “This is my opinion, nbd!“ NO. THIS IS A FACT. I have examined the available hills and I’m dying on this one. LAWFUL EVIL? When Himring is Lawful Neutral!? Did their secrecy become extremely restrictive as the war progressed? Yes. But very much because of necessity. They were being hunted and secrecy was all that kept the tragedy of the Fall from happening sooner. Always great? No. But definitely not evil.
Doriath did similar and worse things, and Gondolin didn’t have the Girdle to fall back on. Doriath used Neutrality extremely pointedly, it was a stance against the Noldor, so I think it’s impossible to call them true neutral, and Elu’s ban on Quenya pushes them into lawful.
Aqualonde was left out of the original when Tirion was not, so I tossed it in here. They refused to ferry the Noldor or give them ships based on the Noldor disobeying the Valar, so that seemed to throw them into lawful neutral, and also I believe they did ferry the troops for the war of Wrath while refusing to fight because of the first kinslaying, agreeing to follow the rules but not get involved. Let me know if that last point was one I made up because for the life of me I can’t remember where I read it. So questionable fact right there.
Tirion I think got put in chaotic Neutral because of the flight of the Noldor and the many political clashes caused by the ruling family. But I have shimmied it over to lawful Neutral, because those people LEFT Tirion to be chaotic in Endor. The experience of living in Tirion itself included a zero tolerance policy against threatening people with swords and a lot of nit-picking about customs and language. Gondolin is also said to be modeled on it.
Himring was on the VERGE of getting thrown in Lawful Evil because of Maedhros and all the kinslaying to follow, but even if its people later followed Maedhros to that, I think it was very focused on fighting the enemy while it stood. Similarly Maglor’s Gap, which I’m not sure about in terms of being a realm in it’s own right, more of a key piece of the war front, but it would go here.
TRUE NEUTRAL: No one deserves this spot like Cirdan in the second and third ages. He doesn’t use his ring when he has it. He puts his own desire to sail aside to aid those who need to leave, and he basically stays out of power machinations. The Grey Havens are for those who are weary and ready to leave and they are half out of the world already, the last waystation before Valinor.
CHAOTIC NEUTRAL: No one deserves THIS alignment like Mirkwood, forever fighting the shadow under the trees, but extremely reluctant to extend help beyond. They feast and dance and get drunk and can’t keep prisoners in their dungeons and just want to be left alone.
Estolad is Amras and Amrod’s realm, and their goals were to assimilate the green elves and learn what they could of the land from them. Their lands were wild, and Haleth and her people are settling there as no impediment to their independence, unlike they would have found in Thargelion.
Lawful Evil: Obviously once Sauron gets his claws into Eregion through Celebrimbor, that’s going to fall here.
Nan Elmoth is neutral in the war vs Morgoth, but I don’t think that makes the character of the place neutral. Eol was controlling and escape was virtually impossible, so I can’t imagine anything but strict rules for those who lived there.
NEUTRAL EVIL: Honestly I just needed something to put here after I switched Nan Elmoth. So I’ve extrapolated Caranthir’s merchant empire to mean a Laissez-Faire economic policy that puts disproportionate value on profit. So the capital of Beleriands Capitalism.
CHAOTIC EVIL: Wherever Celegorm and Curufin are… yeah that tracks. Himlad, the period of time they ruled Nargathrond, Doriath for half a minute. They are cursed and they are making it your problem.
Places I didn’t include:
Valmar- Probably Lawful Good as written, but the Vanyar are so disconnected from the story as a result, does it really matter? The fight the war of wrath when told to. But what would their character be if ever faced with the challenges these other realms face? No idea.
Sirion/Balar- Neutral Good, but they’re Refugee camps as much as realms. What about chaotic good because they’re so many mixed cultures and trying to do the impossible by getting to Valinor?
Amon Ereb- Neutral Evil? Because it houses the Feanorians once they’ve gone mad with the oath but don’t really have the resources to contribute in any way anymore to the war effort? True Neutral because they are broken and clearly just trying to survive at this point? Idk, it’s very based on the controversial and ambiguous mindset of the Feanorians during/after their downfall. Could be read any way you want basically.
