CHATEAU ROLLS ROYCE

The castle domain was created in the late 18th century. The wealthy notary A.S. started construction of the castle in 1780, originally consisting of a classicist main building, which was symmetrically flanked at the front by two lower, 19th-century side wings and several outbuildings, including a beautiful and almost unique winter garden.

After the death of the notary, the property passed into the hands of his only son, who gave it significant added value by creating an English landscape garden. The surrounding park includes a pond with island and historic duck decoy, beautiful old woodland and a former ice house. When the son also died, the castle remained empty for a while. In 1831, the castle briefly served as the command post of Leopold I, first king of Belgium.

In 1859 the whole was sold to a baron, who used it as a summer residence. In 1909, a wealthy Antwerp banker buys the castle. He builds the two towers that flank the castle. The castle remained in the hands of this family until the mid-1950s. Today, the castle and park are owned by the Luxembourg real estate company, which wants to start a hotel there in the future.

In the urbex scene, this chateau was known as 'Chateau Rolls Royce', for many years, because of the beautiful blue Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Rolls Royce built the Silver Shadow between 1965 and 1979. At the time, it was the most expensive and luxurious model introduced by Rolls Royce. This particular car was built in 1975 and was first registered in January 1976, as one of the last variants of the model. The colossus, weighing more than two tons, was more than 5 meters long, 1.80 meters wide and had a cylinder capacity of 6,750 CC. It reached a top speed of 205 km/h without much effort.

Guys I had a thought for the Krakens, just a silly idea... But a song that represents the group, I was wondering what we all think could represent the group and all that, and the only thing that came to mind was 'You Can't Take Me' by Bryan Adams. I don't know if you'll agree or not, but I would love to hear your thoughts.

Finally. As of tonight, each and every cassette in my personal dub library has been digitized. All 400+ of them. They'll be burned onto CD-Rs and backed up on multiple drives. Assuming that those discs are kept in a cool dry place and the files be moved over to new drives every few years, they can and will outlast the inevitable compositional degradation of the original tapes, which will still take a few more decades to run its course.

A great portion of my life and evolution of listening habits are all in these tapes. Radio dubs, tapes made from family and friends, found sounds, recording tricks, handwritten tracklistings - they're all here. Without Maxell, Recoton, Scotch, Sony, JVC, Fuji, TDK, Silver Shadow and others, this personalized music diary would not even be possible. No record-store victory tours, no WUSB, no music blog, no essential connections - nothing.

Rolls-Royce Camargue

Styled by Pininfarina of Italy, the Rolls-Royce Camargue was launched in 1975 to a mixture of awe and disbelief. Was this audaciously styled car, its lines reminiscent of the Continental sports saloons of the past, really worth almost twice as much as the Silver Shadow on which it was based?

The company's flagship model, the Camargue used an up-rated version of Rolls-Royce's dependable, 6,750cc pushrod V8 engine. In keeping with Rolls-Royce tradition, the power output remained undisclosed but most testers reported a healthy improvement in acceleration.

Rolls-Royce's advanced split-level air conditioning system was introduced with the Camargue, later becoming standard on the Shadow II range.

As range-topping models, the Camargue and Corniche were also the first to feature Rolls' revised rear suspension and ride height control. Produced at the rate of around one car per week, the Camargue was always a very exclusive model, with output totalling a mere 531 units by the time production ceased in 1986.

Silver stood over the body of his (former) coworker, breathing heavily and shaking. His gloves were bloody and so was his mask.

“Holy shit…” he whispered to himself in pure disbelief.

A small sound quickly caught him of guard however, and he quickly turned around to see one of his partners in crime. He calmed down when he saw the familiar face.

decided to doodle my ancient ocs, because it’s been ages since i drew most of them and artfight burnout really makes me want to draw my own ocs. these guys are mariventes, a species of felines i created ages ago with the intention to write a comic or a series of stories... but nothing really happened.
