The wide silhouette of the early century started to slim come the mid century, and it slimmed even more so come the 1770s. Style in general was becoming more simplified, leading to fashion that exemplified the new 'casual' aesthetic. The habit à la française came into mode for men, showcasing the standing collar that would carry over into the early 1800s. The front skirt of the coat started being cut back, exposing the front of the breeches. This resulted in waistcoats becoming shorter and breeches becoming tighter to exaggerate the new silhouette. In direct contrast to this move toward simplicity, dandies outfitted themselves in eye-catching and visually lavish ensembles. Their style loudly announced their cosmopolitan, fashion-centric outlook, and their sartorial choices blurred the line between masculine and feminine.
We've now finally hit the point in the historical timeline where I can represent my home country! While the early white settlement of Australia is typically associated with the convicts that were shipped to penal colonies in the newly discovered country, by the late 1700s free settlers were also making it home. Many of these settlers built homesteads and farmed the land for survival. It was a tough life and their practical clothing reflected as such.
The end of the 18th century saw a great deal of political unrest, most notably in France. The French Revolution had a huge impact on clothing as it became increasingly important to outwardly show your republican support via your stylistic choices. Waistcoats were still very much a part of a man's everyday wardrobe, and often times they were decorated to show political sympathies. The 1790s saw the rise of the sans-culottes - working class men who shunned the wearing of breeches in favour of loose trousers. These were often paired with a red wool cap known as a bonnet phrygian, which signified the wearer's hardcore dedication to the revolution. CC links under the cut.

My Fair Lady: Hungarian Noble Lady Set
Hi, lovelies it's been a while since I've posted cc, but nonetheless, I'm back and here I have a baroque/rococo-themed Hungarian Noble set for y'all.
The items in this set are textures taken from the wardrobes of Hungarian noblewomen. This one is from Countess Orsolya Esterhazy of Galantha. I'm sure some of you have seen some of her dresses before

The Esterhazy family was extremely rich and affluent, and one of their castles in Hungary was known as the 'Hungarian Versailles'. This style of dress (1650-1750) as seen above took heavy influence from Spanish culture, and Hungarian noblewomen were glad to wear this style of dress every day, not only for special court functions, but to show their status. Headdresses were symbols of family status, women wore decorated bonnets to cover their hair, and young, unmarried girls wore partas (which I have the meshes for but couldn't get to work properly).
Another texture is from the Hungarian Transylvanian era and is believed to be from the dress of Catherine of Brandenburg, who was elected Princess due to her marriage to Gabriel Bethlen.

Another dress texture is believed to have belonged to Baroness Dersffy Orsolya from around 1610.

Other textures included are from a 1750s Hungarian Court Gown, one worn by Countess Stephanie Majlath in 1867, a Gold and Green ladies' robe from the 1900s, and a pale green ladies' robe from the 1900s. I have pasted all of these though to a baroque/rococo style mesh as their textures suit them anyway.
I used mesh pieces from @acanthus-sims and @buzzardly28 for the dresses, courtesy of maya40 for her beautiful textures and for being so kind to provide me with information and history on her country.
In this set, you are getting 7 dresses (each ranging from about 13k-15k in polygons, sorry), 1 bonnet mesh from cynnix which was retextured by maya40 to match these dresses (multiple swatches), a 1660s bonnet with 3 swatches from maya40, 2 Hungarian veils retextured by maya40, mesh originally by cynnix, 1 baroque lace collar with 3 swatches found in glasses category (mesh by maya40, textures by me), and 1 Hungarian laced bonnet by maya40 with 3 swatches. All of this is BGC, and when downloading please read my TOU.
That was a lot so I'll add more pictures for visuals
Pictures of real Hungarian noblewomen from around this time:

As always, let me know if you have any issues! @mmfinds

The Royal Family (1767)
This posthumous painting was painted in 1767 after the tragic death of King Edmund IX. When Edmund died, Queen Odette was pregnant with their last child, Princess Amelia, who is being held in the painting by her mother. Odette and Edmund cherished their time with their family and cultivated the image of a perfect family throughout his reign. Odette was viewed as a mother of the nation, an image which would continue to grow after the death of her husband with her proclamation as regent to their young son, George I. Odette was an attentive and loving mother to her children, but became a fierce politician. During her son's reign, Odette was widely regarded as the true power behind the throne. Her inexperienced son was too focused on high society and his circle of friends, even after the regency ended. Odette had a close relationship with all of her children, but especially her eldest sons, George and Edmund. George and Edmund shared a rivalry with one another, mostly based on the fact that George had resented the throne while Edmund yearned for it. George's wife, Josephine of Corrilea (@theroyalsofcorrilea), was a frivolous spender who detested the etiquette of court life. Josephine's scandals overshadowed George's reign and caused their marriage to break down rapidly. After the death of George and Josephine's only daughter, Princess Margaret, in 1794, a succession crisis emerged. None of Odette's other sons had living children, and it became increasingly likely that the thrones of Windenburg & San Myshuno could pass to her daughter, Elliana, who had married a foreign king. Elliana was beautiful and kind, but also intelligent and calculating. She had raised her children in Windenburg in the hopes that they could someday inherit the throne, but when her husband unexpectedly inherited the throne of Esha (@crownsofesha), she was forced to leave her country. Odette quickly arranged the marriages of her sons, Octavius and Frederick. Octavius was hastily married to Princess Karoline of Kraneberg (@simming-in-the-rain), while Frederick was married to Princess Christina Amalia of Dresden. Octavius and Frederick entered wildly unhappy marriages, which they blamed on Odette. Octavius was a gambler and enjoyed entertaining at his residence in Windenburg, Hertford Castle, while Karoline was deeply religious and disapproved of her husband's behavior. Frederick and Christina suffered through multiple miscarriages, which drove the couple apart, until the birth of their daughter, Charlotte, in 1803. However, Christina's sudden death two years later would forever haunt Frederick. Odette's daughter, Elizabeth, was extremely popular at court and was known for her wit and humor. Elizabeth attracted many suitors, but never married as she never wanted to leave her mother's side. It was rumored that Elizabeth and her brother Edmund's wife, Princess Augusta, had an affair between 1785-1798. The pair wrote many passionate letters and were almost always in each other's company. Augusta's final miscarriage in 1798 drove the couple apart, and her death later that year destroyed Elizabeth. Odette's beloved youngest daughter, Amelia, was one of the greatest joys of her life. Perhaps her favorite child, Odette, spent much more time with Amelia than her other children. Odette was overcompensating for the fact that Amelia had never known her father. Odette always wanted Amelia to stay with her and Elizabeth in Windenburg; however, George arranged the marriage of Amelia to King Edaric I of Trenton (@trentonsimblr). Amelia and Edaric had met during their courtship and fell in love with one another. Amelia was the only one of her siblings to have a happy marriage. Although the family would never see Amelia ever again, Odette kept a lengthy correspondence with her and had immense influence on her life.

The fruits of my labors this week. 14th-19th centuries of fashion. There are many, many more in the pipeline.
I'm aware that the 14thc ones are atypical of art you'd find from the era, but for the sake of this project and its purpose, I'm taking a bit of artistic license.

I would like to see a variety of historical cc for shoes, um modern kids mix match for kids, infants toddlers down the road if you can if not I understand. Thanks for all you do in the sims community!
Unfortunately there's a pretty limited amount of dedicated historical footwear CC out there at the moment, but I've gathered up a bunch of options that could work for their respective century. I've only gone up to the 1700s as my Ultimate Decades Timeline series will soon be entering the 1800s, so I'll have plenty of shoe options for that century in the not-too-distant future. CC links and more information for each century under the cut.
An extended, pointed toe was the quintessential shape for 14th century shoes, although shorter toes were worn by working class people due to their practicality. Footwear, much like the clothes of the period, was simple and non-fussy.

3 - Pointed Toe Flats by Arltos (TSR)
4 - Ballet Shoes by Dissia (TSR)
5 - Bahlam Flats by Madlen (TSR)

The 15th century saw a more rounded toe come into fashion beginning in Italy. Shoe styles started to become more ornate and decorated to coincide with burgeoning clothing trends.

12 - Leandro Flats by Madlen (TSR)
Tudor-era shoes were quite basic in comparison to the clothing of the time and some even looked surprisingly modern in silhouette. Luxury fabrics such as silk and velvet were popular materials for the footwear of those with wealth.

14 - Simple Loaf by Arltos (TSR)
15 - Satin Bow Pumps by Waxes Nostalgic
16 - Padova Shoes by Madlen (TSR)
17 - Loafer by Arltos (TSR)
18 - Lissa Shoes by Serenity
Come the 17th century heels really started to take off. In fact, all shoes and boots featured a heel that was at least an inch high, but more commonly two to three inches. Embellishments were all the rage - buckles, rosettes, pompoms and bows.
19 - Penny Loafers by Arltos (TSR)

As men's shoes reduced in height, women's grew higher and narrower. Slippers or mules become popular to wear around the home or for casual events. These were heeled slip-on shoes with no upper covering the heel.
