I can’t believe Fallen Angel is coming to a close. There’s just 1 more part of the last chapter to go and 1 epilogue. 🥹 I swear this short story has changed me as a person , I’ve never felt so attached to premades before and I love them as much as the sims I create 😩✨

I’m so excited for the future of my storytelling as I learn more about myself and learn to trust my own process, which is something I’ve struggled with for years when it came to writing. I appreciate all the feedback and praise and excitement more than anyone can know. I say I share the stories I want to see but I do it for everyone who’s stuck with me since the beginning. And for that, I can’t thank you enough ❤️

And even though Fallen Angel is ending, the story will continue in my Gen 6 series that I will announce after the New Year ❤️

Hey everyone, I dropped in recently and answered an ask, so I thought I'd swing by again and catch up a bit. This has been a challenging year for me, and tiring, but not a bad one overall. Summer has arrived, so I'm officially off duty as homeschooling parent for a few months. I still have paid employment, which gets busier in the summer, but in context it feels like a break. Homeschooling is not something I ever expected to do, and there's surprisingly little of myself left over after it. Even so, we did it, we made it, and I'll do it again next year. Now more than ever, I see just how much I can and will do for my children.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that I may be Autistic as well as having ADHD. Our whole family is probably some form of neurodivergent, in various stages of being diagnosed at the moment. I hear this is incredibly common. One or two diagnoses leads to "nobody in this family is neurotypical" as it is all very much genetic. My autism assessment referral will probably take years before I can get assessed, and private options are very expensive. Meanwhile, I'm able to read up and view my life through a more helpful lens. I believe I mask quite a lot, and fairly convincingly, and probably have been since before I can remember. It's weird to look over my life yet again and say, "Oh. Ohhhh... that makes a lot of sense." My GP said something about how girls can get missed because they instead become small and quiet and well-behaved.

Damn.

I'm not sure I've ever felt more seen. And then there's that bubbling rage under the surface where I am so damn tired of it, and have been for a very long time.

You know, I actually opened up Livejournal recently and saw a few new comments on my story that I hadn't seen before. There's a part of me that wishes I could get back there, to writing it, creating the story. To have that positive obsession again. To have something that was just mine. I think about it fondly from time to time. All the plans I had, where I might have taken the story. There was some good stuff in there, if I do say so myself, haha. I appreciate all the good times I've had here in the community. Who knows if I will get back to it, but I sure do appreciate it, what it's been in my life.

You know you haven't played the Sims in a long time when you see pics of other people's Sims with custom content, and you can't tell whether they're from Sims 3 or Sims 4 at first glance.

Heck I even mistook some Sims 2 photos for Sims 4 for a moment, because someone was using the Sims 4 clay-like hairstyles on their Sims.

No shame in that though, both alpha CC and maxis match look nice!

But this confusion is especially embarrassing to admit as someone who used to be very active in the Sims 3 community before I got into anime and digital art, and mind you I'm someone who can NEVER play my Sims games without CC. But oh well 😅

Don't feel bad if you relate though.

If this happens even to me, a Sims fan since 2007, there's no shame if you're a newbie to CC, or if you are a Sims 4 only simmer. You're not any less of a simmer for this. At the end of the day, what makes the Sims community beautiful to begin with is its way for everyone to express their creativity through their games. And that includes using CC for your Sims and their homes.

so we all know sims1 has dark souls difficulty, however i just cant get over how charming the visuals and wacky items and furniture are. sims1 was both satire and critique and it shows. god id eat up a sims1 esque game with modern QOL

i also made a random family in sims2 and i was so enamored with all the autonomous familial interactions. the teen brother just doing a foot dance with the little sister on his own and twirling her around was so cute ;a; youd never see that in sims4 - its about as soulless as ac new horizons

cant say much on sims 3 because to this day i cant get it to run well and the uncanny valley visuals scare me. i know people praise it but its so uglyyyyyyyy

Ivory Kingdom ; a nosy ; internet obsessed ; blackmail loving ; atrocious reputation ; beautiful & deceptive simsvestigator.

Ivory is always on the lookout for some tea ; anytime is the right time to spy on some sims and use their secrets against them.

Decided to start a new simsvestigation case. Let's see who we can spy on and solve this one!

Ivory tried to search online for some secret information on the suspects ; time to get dressed and get on the scene!

OMG! The mail reads : "To be opened by the home of the celebrity football household "The McKnight Family"

This case could really be huge for me if I can solve it. It seems like someone here has been committing some serious crimes against sims and getting away with it. Who is it ?

I just got caught spying on them and NaTasha beat my ass!

Natasha McKnight: " If I ever see your face around here or my son Malik again, you will regret it! Don't make me beat your ass again!"

Ivory Kingdom : "I'm really sorry, I was trying to deliver some Uber Eats and I got lost at the wrong address....you also didn't beat my ass like you think."

*fights again*

So Ivory got tired of losing the fight, and apologized once more to give her the chance to plant a bug on NaTasha so she can spy on her from a safe distance.

Ivory can't believe what she heard on the audio from that bug she planted on NaTasha earlier.

Ivory : "This is jaw dropping evidence that I could turn over...But I need MORE...."

simming status: I've tried to open a game after 3 years of a break (my current laptop is not games friendly), got into the series of ea error messages, and i'm reinstalling the whole thing and thinking if desiging my vtm PC hideout before she asks her crush home is really worth it*

*especially if I get serious - and I am a very serious gal - and fit furniture to her 1950s hotel-owner tastes

Hey, I was trying to Google and it sent me to you. So I have a polly couple in the sims 2 of 4 sims who are all in love and live together. I have set there "the one" to none but it seems like they still reject each other for no reason. Do you know why this is or how I can sort it, I hate seeing them reject one another when they should all be in love! Thank you

I've had this problem myself, and I've posted about it in my "sims 2 polyamory" tab. The main things I can recall (keeping in mind that memory is one of my neurodivergent weak points) was to make sure all settings are set to "static" once you've set them. I would also occasionally experience random changes similar to what you've described here, which I couldn't explain. Once I changed the setting and changed it back it would usually correct it.

Back when I was last active in the community, I was working on a longer tutorial/write-up of everything I used to know about this topic and ACR, but when I looked around for it, I wasn't able to locate it in my files and backups. It was pretty close to being able to post. If I do find it, I may post it as-is, since it seems like it could still be useful.
