#why no one told me that trying to get in the “grown up life” is so stressful when you have zero experience in a real work#All the skills you have are not enough#At the same time you didn't have rest at all after graduating because of the outside pressure#And I feel like I became deadly annoying#Let me complain a little bit I swear to god this is like 2 time after college when I want to complain at something I'm not that strong#What do you mean there is no sign “We want YOU as our worker!” ahagsha funny#I have to learn about 2 new programms on a basic level at least#Learn new things on Toon Boom#Prepare different portfolios when turns out I barely have something I can show#I was thinking too little and now I barely can think and I start being irritated at myself yet can do nothing since my brain rebels#Okayyy just 2 more months to see if something will turns out good out of what I will be doing

i was a reasonably big beatles fan for a while before i actually started learning more about the break up and solo years so i saw that idea of pr genius paul and unfiltered truth teller john repeated constantly. and i remember being just FLOORED when i learned paul spent the immediate pre breakup period secluded on a farm literally throwing buckets of water to chase off reporters and his big solo album aunt involved a bizarre q&a specifically because he refused to talk to individual press. while john and yoko literally gave like multiple interviews a day for much of 69-70. honestly, they were so good at it the idea is pervasive today even with people who are otherwise really savvy and knowledgeable about the beatles that i would expect to know better. even a lot of people who admit john and yoko were canny with the press still repeat the pr man paul trope.
I knowwwww. Thank you anon - I love the point about Paul and his buckets of water.
The disconnect is extraordinary. And in part it's a sign of how effective John and Yoko were - but you'd think, by now, people would have noticed how limited Paul's PR skills were.
TheyMayBeParted's rundown of the days leading up to the Get Back sessions have a fascinating contrast between Paul and John's PR approaches. On holiday in Portugal, Paul calls an impromptu press conference on the beach - the deal being, he'd speak to all of them at once and get it over with, giving them quotes and photographs in exchange for being left alone. Meanwhile, John and Yoko manage to give tailored interviews to three separate news teams during John's appointment at the dentist.
And that's really the difference: John and Yoko have a coherent message and are working proactively and very hard to get it out. Paul is basically doing damage limitation. He's doing his job, while trying to protect his privacy.
In the decades since, he's obviously got better PR teams, but he's still not a natural at it. For instance: Carpool Karaoke was a really smart PR move for him. It's been viewed 68 million times, with a very positive impact on his reputation. But he didn't recognise what an opportunity it was, and tried to pull out multiple times.
Interestingly, there's a suggestion that he was particularly nervous about going back into Forthlin Road: I suspect because he knew memories might make him emotionally vulnerable. John was never an "unfiltered truth teller", but he was phenomenally skilled at using his genuine emotions to turbocharge his narratives. Even now, Paul is freaked out by the idea of revealing himself like that.
#ask#tag for mine or my addition#john and yoko's pr genius#the idea of paul masterminding the beatles narrative is so funny#he's so shit at it#he can afford very good advice#but even that depends on whether he actually takes it#i mean sure he's pushed back against existing narratives#but successfully shaping a story? planning an effective long-term campaign? c'mon#also#remembering mike mccartney being hit by emotion in the programme about the restoration of forthlin road#it's enormously touching but obviously hard for him#i think john recognised that moments like that made people like him#and that he could make use of that#while paul pulls all his walls up and hides under the bed#i don't mean 'making use of it' as a criticism btw - it's a skilled and conscious choice and i respect that

one of the many things that bothers me about goku luck is the fact that they have kenta (a minor) in a penitentiary full of adult convicts. where was the juvenile welfare officer and why are they not doing their job. hope they’re fired
#edit: realised i wrongly used the word penitentiary. sorry abt that. i meant prison#anyone who has heard what prison is like knows how terribly wrong this would go#also was he tried as a minor or did they try him as an adult for his crimes#idc if he’s got advanced hacking skills if a kid can create a virus that can threaten the world in his garage#then i’m sure million-dollar corporations and desperate governments can fund research into an antivirus#idk man it’s freaking ridiculous#like there was no reason to be doing all that#maybe i’m just a believer of restorative justice but#kenta’s clearly a genius. why not a scholarship to a great tech programme and a job with the government#he could do so much good in developing cybersecurity. internationally.#idk it just makes me sad that his whole life was over#and the system didn’t just fail him. it endangered him#either way goku luck could be such a great tool to criticise the criminal justice system#if anyone even CARES#you know i love The Silly but sometimes we need to Get Serious#paradox live#paralive#kenta mikoshiba#goku luck#gokuluck

I was writing an interaction between Auditor and President and I realized that nobody talks about the other supervisors bondings (If someone does, PLEASE LET ME KNOW 👀)
So, I'll show you...
✨ Mag's silly list of TTR Supervisors bondings headcanons which nobody asked for✨
I know I said that I'm a fan of the idea that they all hate each other, despite their bosses are besties, but how are the particular bondings for me? 😛 I think that ALL the bondings have a base of distrust, but they vary in another ways 👀
1. Foreman 🔥 — Club President 🏌️♀️
They HATE each other, SO MUCH, WITH PASSION, WITH THEIR ROBOTIC HEART ❤️🔥
They are the LEAST tolerated. Foreman has very little patience and President has a very intense personality, so their attitudes crash a lot and very often. Club President criticizes him A LOT about his work (OBVIOUSLY INSPIRED IN SUPERVISING THE SUPERVISORS PLEASE READ IT IF YOU DIDN'T), which Foreman obviously doesn't like. But all of this conflict, ends up with they thinking a lot about each other, maybe they can be confused with silly feelings? 😏
And, based on "Supervising the Supervisors"...They tend to meet to play golf ⛳ Maybe that's another reason of their beef (But he ends up repairing President's arm loses 💕)
2. Clerk 📚 — Club President 🏌️♀️
Very, very good friends! (I think we all assumed it after the 1st UNM announcement). They meet a lot in their facilities, they play golf together when they have time, and they talk a lot.
I like to think that they talk about how powerful they are, and gossip (In a moral and legal way) about what CJ and CEO do and say. And Clerk is very used to hearing the President's complaints about Foreman.
President always tries to ask her for Virtual Skelecogs for her, but Clerk always denies it.
3. Foreman 🔥 — Auditor 📈
They are good friends who tend to meet often. Auditor sees friends in people who don't want his money and Foreman is one of those. I like to think that they meet to have some drinks and talk about life and against toons (?)
But Foreman is the one who complains the most because of Club President, so Auditor is very used (And a little tired) of his venting, but he always listens to him :)
AND NOW THAT WE KNOW THAT THEY ARE BOTH BALD, they could comment about it HAHAAHA
4. Foreman 🔥 — Clerk 📚
In the same line of my headcanon of Clerk being a skilled programmer and knowing a lot of technology stuff, I think that Foreman is a very skilled mechanic (bc he works at the Factories, kinda obvious :U), so all of their conversations are based in cog making stuff.
He knows that President is her friend and tries to not talk about her too much because he is afraid of being silenced. On the other hand, she knows that if he gets angry, he will start to yell in a loud voice (Overtime reference), which she dislikes a lot, so they both talk with a lot of respect trying to not hurt the other.
5. Auditor 📈 — Clerk 📚
In the same line of my headcanon of Clerk being a skilled programmer (AGAIN), I like to think that they meet when Auditor needs to write stuff in excel, digitalize documents and all of the technology stuff that the Auditor might need (?) and Clerk can do. He doesn't pay her money because he STINGY (But pays with favors). They don't trust each other well (And Clerk doesn't like his voice), but they treat each other with respect.
Because they are friends with Foreman and President on each side, they end telling each other how fed up they are about their constant comments and venting of President and Foreman, something like:
— You know, I'm a little tired of hearing Foreman complaining about President...
— I'm also tired of hearing President complaining of Foreman, despite she is my friend.
And, as an extra, he tries to ask Clerk for Virtual Skelecogs to make his work easier, but she denied it.
6. Auditor 📈 — Club President 🏌️♀️
I like to think that they have one thing in common: ✨ BEING OBSESSIVELY PERFECTIONIST WITH THEIR OWN FACILITY ✨ Something like:
— I'm so done with these toons entering my Mint and trying to steal my perfectly organized money...
— I KNOW, RIGHT!? I HATE when toons enter MY countryclub, I DIDN'T ASK FOR THEM!
Besides that, I think that they get along well, with respect and maybe they can have a good time when they meet. I also think that she asks the Auditor about what Foreman says about her and he takes the chance to tell her in exchange for some money hehe.
I like to think that she invites him to play golf, but he doesn't like to leave the Mints because is afraid of being robbed (?
————
That's it! What do you think? Do you have more headcanons? I READ YOU 👀
#pls toontown writers confirm if the clerk is a skilled programmer or not because i'm starting to assume that its canon please#toonblr#toontown rewritten#toontown#the club president#the factory foreman#the mint auditor#the office clerk

I'm not paying EIGHTY DOLLARS a YEAR for your stupid fucking COLORING APP???? WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE???? FREAKS. that. Is literally like. A switch 2 game every year forever. That's insane. What is the world fucking coming to anymore. Why are they all that expensive. The ads are too frequent to make the free versions useable it's so miserable in there. I want to kill something
#if i were a more skilled programmer i would make my own and put it on the play store for free and take donations for hosting fees or whatevr#honestly. i may teach myself those skills specifically to do this#because i am sufficiently angry#it would mostly be splicing together opensource code and then like designing the ui myself#but it's still daunting#I've never done anything anywhere close to a project like that#🍯🧚 txt

My friend showed me how to program today! I made a script to pick random items from a list, based on how much energy I have, to make it easier for me to do things every day :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
(For context I am chronically ill and have massive executive dysfunction on top of that, so being told what to do early in the day depending on my energy makes things so much easier for me)

Ignore the excessive number of ++++ I made them for desktop and this is on mobile , I'll adjust it another time
Anyway I am VERY proud :D and greatful for my friend showing me!!!!
Also I'm already coming up for cool ideas on how to use this for art and fun little projects for my friends :)
I could program a choose-your-own adventure game AAAAAA!!!
Like I want to make one that asks what your name is and when a friend types their name in, it comes up with a little message/poem/ascii art picked just for them!!! Like I have a friend who's really into fanfic and I could have a fanfic or a reference come up, and another name would bring up a huge ascii penis, another name would bring up a poem I wrote for them- I'm losing my mind the possibilities are endless.
Oh also the guy who taught me is my bf's bf, who I want to be more than just boyfriends-in-law with so bonding like this is a boon for me because it shows me in a different light than "trapped by illness and depression"

Replacement thoughts for the nuance:
-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic Everyone is naked under their clothes, and the human body that we all have, that we all see in ourselves, should not be seen as inherently traumatic. Dysphoria and such exists, sure, however, society has never been comprised of incorporeal personalities - all humans have bodies - and we should stop pretending that some bodyless society is the norm.
-Sex scenes in art are pointless Sometimes sex scenes in art are gratuitous and only there to tempt those looking for porn, sometimes sex scenes are a plot point, sometimes the sex scene falls in between the two. Viewer discretion is advised (aka check the warnings/tags and curate your own experience).
-Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants Outfits that expose genitalia and are being put to use at Folsom? Yeah, definitely sex related. Swapping out your denim blue jeans for leather pants and NOT going around giving a full dissertation on how the leather makes you/your partner feel? No, the pants are just pants, and the material should not be such a big deal, stop trying to create society-wide uniforms.
-Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading I don't know how to make this simpler, but women are just as human as men and generally also have thoughts just like men do, and sometimes voice them just as men do. Men, women, non-binary ... we are all human and should not be treated as separate species or as infants in adulthood.
-People's sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life As a kid, I fantasized about being a dragon, because 'ooo, pretty'. This never meant I actually expected to become a real-life dragon. Look back at your own life, and you'll likely find something similar. There's a reason the meme of a cat clinging to a wall above a door with the caption 'They said I could be anything, so I became a security camera' was funny. Not all dreams come true, nor are all dreams meant to come true. People are allowed to be silly, it's not that serious.
-Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work Some people enjoy sex and don't care who they have it with, or are at least less picky about who they have it with. If they find that people are willing to pay them as they indulge in their own personal enjoyment, they may take that money as part of a perfectly fair exchange. Not all sex work involves human trafficking, just as not all human trafficking involves sex. The problem isn't the sex or the sex work, the problem is economic and about how we treat other people under the current classist system in general, aka the work and how workers are treated.
-Sex in a monogamous romantic relationship is somehow morally/fundamentally different from sex outside of romance and/or monogamy. Seeing as even the Bible refers to multiple definitions of what we call marriage, including taking a woman as your wife if her husband dies and you were her brother-in-law, or if you killed her husband on the battlefield, or if you already own her as a slave, this absolutely doesn't even fit with people citing the Bible as their source of morality, which is where that nonsense started. If you are not part of the consentual relationship between the adults in question, then you are not part of that relationship and your opinion does not matter. Deal with your own relationship(s) or lack thereof and get your nose out of everyone else's personal business.
-Some clothing is inherently sexual. The clothing is not alive. It is not sentient. It has no opinion, thoughts, wants, or desires. Any sexuality you see in that clothing is what YOU have chosen to see. The clothes are not the problem. Your inability to get your mind out of the gutter is the problem. Trying to mandate some uniform clothing standard for society will solve nothing. On the other hand, seeking help with your own need to over-sexualize everything and take everything personally might make a world of difference. 'Hypersexual disorder' is still a thing (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19937105/), and claiming non-sexual things are 'inherently sexual' is a listed symptom (this is not a diagnosis and I am not your therapist or psychologist - this is merely something to take into consideration).
Case in point: I have Mormon neighbors who fret over bare shoulders, considering the uncovered shoulders to be risque and inherently sexual. I've lived in places where nobody cared about bare shoulders at all, and still live under the same idea that bare shoulders are just something that happens when it's hot outside and maybe wear sunscreen. We are not the same. I do not see tank tops as any more sexual than the completely non-sexual prairie dresses that many FLDS wear, I do not carry around the same cultural baggage that my neighbors do.
TL;DR Stop believing all the sensationalist crap you see in internet discourse. Stop claiming your own failings are society's fault. Sometimes society is wrong, sure, but sometimes it's just certain individuals who are wrong and you may be one of them.
Lines of thought that seem Normal but are actually rooted in extreme puritanism:
-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic -Sex scenes in art are pointless -Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants -Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading -People's sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life -Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work The goal is to treat sex as just another thing people do. That is a much healthier attitude than hiding it! It's not uniquely traumatic, it's not weird to talk about it or include it in society.
#calm down#leave your emotional baggage at the door OR get tf off my lawn#AI fails because it goes off pure logic (and not always good logic - programmers are not perfect)#likewise purely emotional arguments fail#think the entire argument through and reflect on places that seem shaky reasoning-wise#the people you've let think for you may not have your - or anyone's - best interests at heart#always second-guess their reasoning for yourself#this ofc requires that you have actual critical reasoning skills#and sadly not everyone has those skills#though they CAN be learned

Emergency: Help Evacuate My Family From GAZA WAR
Dear Humanity,
I'm Haya from Gaza , from a family of 8 people: my parents, two sons, and four daughters (two of them suffer from allergies).
I've witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. The urgent need intensifies for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter.
Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn't meant to be. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.
The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it's almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.
Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.
youtube
A brief video depicting the devastation that struck our home and our entire neighborhood in Gaza.
Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza's Allergy Nightmare
I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
These allergies create a deep sense of fear and anxiety for us, as we live in a constant state of tension and fear of anything that may require a visit to the hospital. We fear being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza because of war or lack of awareness and not informing the doctor of our allergies, which could lead to serious consequences threatening our lives.
MY Father Income

Our dreams are heading towards oblivion in the labyrinth of an uncertain future
My story, along with my siblings, represents a united team of four individuals, three of whom are skilled programmers and one graphic designer. We work as freelancers in the world of freelancing.
As for my younger sister, she is a student studying at the College of Architecture. She has always carried a big dream in her heart, a dream of being part of changing Gaza, of making it more beautiful and better. She looked forward to the day when she would receive her degree and start building this dream. But the beginning of the war changed everything. The destruction of infrastructure and universities cast shadows of despair over her dreams.

When I think of my brother in Belgium, I can't help but feel deep sadness. He has been suffering from unbearable anxiety and insomnia since the outbreak of the war. Sleep eludes him at night, and his physical and mental health collapses under the weight of these heavy burdens, negatively affecting his performance at work. Problems and challenges pile up in front of him without the slightest opportunity for rest.
We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn't been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.
As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.
Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.
Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.
I appeal to the world as a whole to hear my cry and the mournful cry of my family in Gaza. We need the helping hand that reaches out to wipe our tears and build a bridge to safety.
Your donation is not just a donation; it's an opportunity to rebuild life and brighten a better tomorrow. Be part of our hopeful story, for we need your hand to start anew.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue my family - my parents, my siblings, and me - through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person. This campaign is our only chance to stay alive, and I humbly request your assistance at this critical time. I will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, committing to transparency and clarity.
