Most of his fellow photographers keep wondering what is between him and Tanaka, does he hang out with the Rin who is just as big asshole as Ogata is, with whom he is at enmity and whom he kisses in the evenings. Good girls like bad guys so everybody just assumes Hyakunosuke enjoys numerous affairs and seduces girls left and right. Since his behavior does not change a bit even after his significant other enters his life and Ogata keeps his mouth shut about personal stuff, they have to be ready to stay low. He won’t take them out to meet the guys in the ramen shop and he won’t brag about them online. No photos posted online, no cryptic messages and gentle hints. If they try to resist forced anonymity, Ogata will hush them down: do you want to be in a secret relationship or no relationship at all?

Today it's work on optimising day using camera raw and photoshop

This is one of the images I shot last week in studio using two different shades of purple.

This is @alisonpenny daughter Marissa who was kind enough to model for me was well as Alison.

I did basic optimising in camera raw the moved into Photoshop where I did some retouching with spot removal, eye whitening, but not a great deal as I wanted the image to remain natural using the lasso tool and hue & saturation, I used the clone tool to remove some fly away hair, and then I sharpened the eyes a fraction using the sharpen tool.

Darkened eye brows and lashes a little using dodge tool.

There wasn't much shine so left it and I didn't want to spoil the colours of the gels so did nothing with skin tone.

Saved as tiff /PSD / jpeg.

Opened jpeg in Photoshop and smoothed skin a little, see previous post for smoothing technique. Saved as tiff /psd/ jpeg.

Finally, I opened competed images in photoshop to add text watermark, saved as jpeg

Workflow - Clean White

Capture

U used my camera Nikon D5300 for his project, lenses 24mm - 120 mm f4. The images was captured in the studio City Of Glasgow College, My model Ania. Shoot time from 9am till 10am. Format RAW. I also used Tripod, Reflectors 5in 1. After each shoot I transfered images from Camera to Laptop - using card reader. I also do back up on Amazon Prime storage box and my hard disc.

Edit

i have choosen one image that in my opinion are very interesing and sorted all criteria. I do this using Adobe Bridge (rating part and Contact sheet).

Optimize

Photoshop: retouching skin (frequency separation), using tools Haling brush, lasso patch tool, Leves Curves, Contrst, Filters: High pass, black&white, Gaussian Blur, Noise Dust &Scraches

Adobe Bidge/Camera RAW: adjust exposure, highlihts, texture, optic correction. Brush Tool - Adjust background

Saved in JPEG format.

Week 3 :Professional practice editing headshots/portraits

Today in our professional practice class we where given a task to pick a portrait either one that we have taken or one from the internet and edit it using the skin softening tools we had learned about

My workflow

I first opened my image into photoshop through bridge. I made some basic edits in camera raw.

-Contrast +33

- Highlights- 19

- shadows- 60

- whites - 42

- blacks +56

I also removed chromatic aberration and lens distortion

The image then opened up in photoshop and I used a mix of the spot healing tool and patch tool to remove stray hairs and small blemish(though there wasn’t many).

I then created an action for dodge and burn shown in today’s class. I created a texture layer by duplicating the image and using filter- high pass

I did a very subtle edit. I also did a edit with some more of a colour grade. I really like how it turned out. it gives the image a totally different feel.
