Tumblr Helps Me Build a Skyrim Character
Masterlist
As I mentioned in the initial post found here, this is for a video playthrough series that I plan to do on my youtube channel when I have the time/motivation/energy again.
If stats affect your choice at all, I'm using the Imperious Races mod, which changes at least the racial active/passive abilities from what they are in vanilla.

Totally forgot that a dialogue option for Enthir involved him calling himself an Altmer. Babe you're a Bosmer.
"So they were like your kind?" (Very racist of our LDB)
"Like the Altmer? Yes, I would say their culture quite possibly rivaled out own." Said the Bosmer.
Clearly Bethesda had other plans for him originally.

Hi! I'm alive! Let tell you about the
Elder Scrolls Cookbook!
Winner of the last poll! I know I'm under zero time constraints but sorry for taking a while lmao.
This is kind of going full circle for me, because when I joined tumblr, the very first thing I ever blogged about was my Skyrim playthroughs, not too long before I got into Saints Row and changed my life significantly. So this is kind of nostalgic for me lol. Anyway, onto the book!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Elder Scrolls cookbook is a CLASSIC. Like I'm pretty sure it's not at all the first "nerdy" cookbook ever made, or even the first cookbook made for a specific franchise or anything, but when this came out it was kind of a big deal, probably because Skyrim was still a big deal lmao. I remember people trading the sweetrolls recipe around.
I kinda wonder if it's one of the first cookbook that tried to stay "in-universe". Because sometimes cookbooks really don't (there are a few Star Wars kids cookbooks that come to mind). But the Elder Scrolls cookbook is in-universe and has little lore snippets in each recipe, which I'm always a fan of.
The book is themed for The Elder Scrolls setting as a whole, but you can tell it came out at the height of Skyrim's popularity lol.
Tumblr media
The book starts off with a chapter covering basics, from spice mixes to pie doughs to sauces, which I think is really cool. Not every cookbook has those, and they'll be used throughout the book so it's good to have a look through that chapter. Then the rest of the book is divided between sides, main meals, soups, breads, desserts and drinks. The recipes lean towards hearty recipes, perfect for surviving the harsh wilds of Tamriel.
Tumblr media
The Nines know my poor fifth playthrough insomniac mage who I walked manually from Whiterun to the College of Winterhold would have needed it.
The cookbook has a photo for every recipe except one of the meads for some reasons lol. But I'll let that one slide because it's "just" a drink. It's not that hard to put a photo of food on recipes but man it is not standard and I'll complain about it forever. But the Skyrim cookbook has photos, thank the Nines.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've cooked only one recipe from this book but what a recipe it is. Pictured above on the right, it's the orsimer venison, a sweet, slightly spicy, soy sauce meat recipe that is fuckin delicious and I've made it dozens of time (always with beef bc it's easier to find lol). On the left is the redguard rice, which is a current contender for the recipe I'll make from this for the poll (though I'm also looking at the Companion meatball recipe....which sounds funny said like that lmao). The redguard rice uses ground lamb, and I can't remember ever having lamb before! If I can find it I would definitely like to try.
Tumblr media
We also, of course, have the Sweetroll recipe. I haven't made it yet but I recently and FINALLY found a small-sized fluted baking pan so I really want to make them soon.
Overall this is a really solid cookbook, it looks pretty, the photos are huge, there's a little bit of lore and story on every recipe. There are more fish-based recipes than I expected, which isn't as interesting for me but it adds variety. I kinda wish there were a few more main meals in there. I'm also torn on if I'd like the book to be divided by meal types as it is currently, or if it'd be neat to have the chapters be themed around cultures for extra lore flavor, like the DND cookbook. idk!
The recipes are pretty standard and don't tend to go for funky ingredients but I think that's fine. They do tend to go for venison and lamb for meat, which I think makes sense, thinking about Skyrim! (and yes the book is still very heavily focused on Skyrim, thought there are a few recipes from elsewhere) The recipes are hearty, using cheese, meats, lots of veggies and with a significant soup chapter and also lots of desserts. You'll be well fed as you travel Tamriel! Just watch your back for them Dark Brotherhood types.
Bonus themed images bc I feel like it: Some of the few surviving screenshots I had from Oblivion, when our computer couldn't run it well so my dad modded it to run at even lower specs and I'm pretty sure it turned off all the lighting. But I had such a great time.
Tumblr media
My khajiit assassin at home uwu
Tumblr media
And my main, in casual wear for some reason. She was a heavy armor build lol. And my outlet for making drow, without access to dnd.
ANYWAY hope this was mildly entertaining! I'll try to choose a recipe for this week, but I'm being forced to go into office more often so I can't garantee a time. Currently it's between the redguard rice and the companion meatballs.
Also check out Misohungrie's several few videos of him covering the cookbook and some extra recipes! I love his videos so you should check them out.

The insanity around the Skyrim Sexyman is so wild as an outsider. I understand none of it. I watched like part of a playthrough ot Skyrim once aged eight cause my favorite minecraft YouTuber made it. I know none of these characters. And to top it all off I CANT EVEN SEE POLLS
Keep it coming
YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE POLLS????
good luck anon it's only gonna get wilder as more favourites probably end up losing lmao
i can give the rundown on a couple of them losing being a whole thing. you didn't ask for it but i'm gonna anyway from my perspective jfkashfgjhdaks
Ralof is simply the one running the poll's favourite, but I think a lot of people kinda forget to pay attention to him beyond choosing to follow him at the start of the game for the tutorial. ISQ has a million very good things to say about him and, while I admit I hadn't given him much thought before, I have to agree he's pretty great Brynjolf is a fan favourite usually. He's a smooth talker, in a Scottish accent, and he's a thief so he's kinda got a "dangerous sexy" thing going for him. Plus he like, so very much cares about the thieves guild and idk something about the way he addresses you gets people going i guess. It didn't hit for me but that's just me, i AM truly shocked he's lost and I do like him in general
Cicero winning in round 1 and losing in round 2 was funny as fuck. ISQ finds him SO annoying. I find him kinda annoying as well, but man I was rooting for him a little bit cause it'd be funny if THEIR disliked one (that is still a person at least) one. Oh well, we move on
Him losing to SERANA, another fan favourite, because she's a troubled pretty vampire lady voiced by Laura Bailey, was just beautiful imo. Personally I love her because I like her ice spike tendencies in combat and that she can't die. I'd say "cicero eat your heart out" but uh, pretty sure she actually ate his heart already so
Any dragon winning any poll is so funny because ISQ's protests are "Alduin is TOO POINTY" and "Durneviir is a ROTTING CORPSE DRAGON" (He's like, alive enough to consent, so he doesn't count as necrophilia, but he body is rotty because he's not really supposed to Have One i guess). Alduin is also the Big Bad of the whole main game. Durneviir is at least a, like, neutral guy. He can be your friend :). Odhaviing is another dragon. He's plot important but he's not as funny to me as the WORLD EATER or the ROTTING BODY ONE
Teldryn??? Teldryn is just a merc you can hire as a follower. I'm not even sure if he has a quest at least, but don't quote me on that because I am nowhere NEAR observant. Didn't even know he existed until the past few days lmao. And the fact that HE beat Brynjolf? Insanity.
I have a personal vendetta against J'zargo because I can't stand anyone who talks like they're the greatest fucking thing ever. It's a whole thing. I don't think he deserves to be hated for his whole exploding cape thing or anything, I just don't like him. Great voice though. If he wins I'll be sad.
There are orcs in Skyrim. There are IMPORTANT orcs in skyrim. I have SEEN people call the orc librarian at the Magic College sexy. There were no orcs in the lineup. This is a personal affront and I will never recover (I main orcs)(I am not actually mad at isq)
Sheogorath is the god of madness. He's my favourite god. I want him to win. If it's not Serana (I have a lot of loyalty to her as well because of. Life reasons. And I really really really love the ice spikes) then I want it to be him.
Hermaeus Mora is the god of forbidden knowledge. There's a lot of tentacles in his realm. He's my second favourite god.
Cicero and Sheogorath both talk in a million directions. Cicero annoys me and Sheo doesn't. This is because Cicero is basically in love with a corpse and I find his and any character's obsession with the Dark Brotherhood (assassin guild) cringe as fuck. I do not feel that way about real life people who really love the DB
Lucien Lachance is not fucking hot

Scoundrel's Folly
So I started off by speaking to Mercer Frey
Tumblr media
who sent me off talk to Gulum-Ei along with the option to talk to Brynolf
Tumblr media
which I did. i then set off to Solitude to met with Gulum-Ei
Tumblr media
Who I then bribed with a stolen case of Firebrand Wine from the Blue Palace
Tumblr media
Upon returning he gave us a little information but not enough so I Proceeded to shadow him to the East Empire Company warehouse
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was upon entering that I realised that when I picked up this days equipment I forgot something rather integral to archery
Tumblr media
arrows.
Tumblr media
Luckily I managed to stealthily swim across the warehouse to where I knew Gulum-Ei would be and avoid most of the guards before entering Brinewater Grotto.
Tumblr media
It was here that I managed to scavenge what arrows I could while allowing Uthgerd, Serana and my Undying Ghost to tank while I took pot shots at the bandits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After fighting through the bandits I confronted Gulum-Ei once more
Tumblr media
Where he confessed that the person who hired him for the Goldenglow estate job was Karliah. I then set off to tell Mercer this information before remembering to go back to pick up the East Empire Shipping map to give to Delvin
Tumblr media
And it was after that alongside ransacking the warehouse for sellable goods I returned to Mercer and ended the quest

Tumblr Helps Me Build a Skyrim Character - Masterlist
As mentioned in the initial post and the Trait 1 poll, this character is for a video playthrough I plan to do on my Youtube channel when time/motivation/energy allows (so likely no sooner than the end of this college term).
Whoever it is will be a relic hunter for the Dragonborn Museum, no matter what other factions or guilds they join, because I decree it.
Initial Post
Trait 1: Race - Khajiit
Trait 2: Gender - Female body, all pronouns (NPCs treat as man/woman alternating)
Trait 3: Class pt1 - Magic
Trait 3: Class pt2 - Nightblade: One-handed, Light armour, Illusion, Destruction, Alteration, Sneak, Acrobatics (75% less fall damage, 15% faster stamina regen), and Shadowmaster (Illusion spells cost 25% less Magicka)
Trait 4: Birthsign pt1 - Mage signs
Trait 4: Birthsign pt2 - The Mage: +30 Magicka, "Those born under the Mage have more magicka and talent for all kinds of spellcasting, but are often arrogant and absent-minded."
Trait 5: Starting Point - Attacked and Left for Dead
Trait 6: Starting Deity - Azura (I know what it says on the poll; I didn't think the options through before I posted it)
Trait 7: Civil War? - Neutral
Trait 8: Darker Guilds? - Thieves Guild Only
Trait 9: Attraction - Either

Alright. Some 93 hours in, I’ve finished a playthrough of Starfield. Obviously far from completionist, but with some effort made to get around and do things.
I have a number of thoughts, which I want to mull over and take in in more depth, but some initial reactions to the thing as a whole. I won’t be able to talk about it without spoilers, though, as fair warning.
It makes some choices I like and some I don’t. EG: the loss of a companion (and the sort of Trolley-Problem-like situation it presents you with) is an interesting move. I felt more attached to Constellation than I have to any other NPCs in the Bethesda-verse, and then having that character come back as the Emissary is a neat rug-pull that has some cool intention behind it. Also, the idea of space being this vast, mostly empty expanse is appropriate and sometimes produces some amazing moments of finding the unexpected, whether some intentional and hand-crafted content, or just the beauty of an expanse.
But a lot of the upsides of the things it tries to do are kind of hampered by what it is, which is to say an open world game by Bethesda in the current culture. Like, if you market your game as having however many thousand planets, it creates an expectation that there will be something to do on all of them—it’s not exactly that; it’s a small story in a big space, which WORKS fundamentally, but isn’t what gamers are set up (including by the systemic aspect of the game itself) to expect. Or like the randomized (or algorithmic or whatever) nature of which companion dies makes it so, structurally, it can’t have that much of differentiating narrative impact (other than not getting to do that character’s quest lines if you haven’t).
These are not new issues in the genre, or medium at large. And mostly, I’m willing to accept them in the name of what Starfield has to offer. The thing that kind of sets it apart little behind Fallout or Elder Scrolls for me is, by virtue of being in space, the world felt less like a contiguous whole. Like I fast travel all the fucking time in Skyrim, like most people, but sometimes it’s fun to just run from Solitude to Riften or whatever—maybe go a way you haven’t been yet—and see what happens along the way. HAVING to fast travel between planets and star systems, while narratively logical, makes each piece feel more isolated from the whole. And because the whole is more than the sum of its parts in these games, the whole suffers a little as a result here.
That said, there’s a lot about this world I still want to know, and a lot of potential I see in what’s here, and it sounds like Todd is saying they’re gonna be adding content for a few years yet, so I’m curious to replay it in some time and poke around in the experience more, now that I have a sense of what it actually is.
The poll for the next game ends in a few hours, so we’ll see what that is, and depending on what’s going on, I’ll likely start it sometime this weekend.

Can i get skyrim dlc for free
Tumblr media
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free for free#
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free mod#
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free full#
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free Pc#
Personally, since I'm a heavy modder, I'm probably going to stick to Special Edition in the short term, although I may eventually switch to the new version.Īre you going to get Skyrim Anniversary Edition?
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free full#
Overall, how are you feeling about Skyrim Anniversary Edition? Are you planning on getting the full package, or are you just going to take advantage of the free upgrades and skip buying the Creation Club content? Are you going to avoid the Anniversary Edition entirely and stick with Special Edition? Let me know in the poll below, and make sure to discuss your reasoning in the comments.
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free for free#
Overall, I personally wouldn't mind paying for tons of new content to enjoy in Skyrim, but I absolutely understand why many players might choose not to when so many great mods are available for free on Special Edition. All of these mods are available for free on Xbox and PC, and based on my experience, most of them are on par with or better than what you'll find in the Creation Club in terms of quality. On the other hand, there are hundreds if not thousands of mods that add in new quests, weapons, armors, spells, NPCs, and mechanics (there are even mods for fishing and survival systems, which is what the Anniversary Edition offers). On one hand, I've tried out some of the content offerings in the Skyrim Creation Club in the past, and while some of the content is nothing to write home about, there are also several excellent creations that have become staple additions to my playthroughs (The Spell Knight armor set is my personal favorite). Regarding the Creation Club portion of Skyrim Anniversary Edition, I'm feeling conflicted. With that said, if Skyrim Anniversary Edition includes some modern upgrades to Skyrim's engine like Skyrim Special Edition did, I can see moving to it being beneficial in the long run since those upgrades will probably make modded playthroughs smoother, and most mods will most likely get ported to the new edition eventually.
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free Pc#
Sure, they'll lose out on next-gen enhancements, but you can make Skyrim look like it released in 2021 already with the best Skyrim Special Edition PC mods or best Skyrim Special Edition Xbox One mods.
#Can i get skyrim dlc for free mod#
If this happens and mod creators struggle to get their projects working with the Anniversary Edition, modding veterans and new players alike should probably stick with the Special Edition so that they have the option to use mods if they want to (or continue doing so). There's a good chance that the Anniversary Edition of the game will break a ton of the popular mods that thousands upon thousands of players consider to be a core component of their playthroughs, and it's unclear whether it will be easy or difficult for mod authors to make their mods compatible with the new version of the game. Where things get murkier is if you're an Xbox or PC player who's looking to experience Skyrim for the first time or if you're someone who likes to mod the hell out of Skyrim (like me). There are many factors to consider, including what platform you use and whether you like using mods. The only downside I can think of would be that your character saves might not transfer (this is what's stopping my girlfriend from getting the Special Edition on Xbox), but Bethesda hasn't clarified whether saves will carry over yet. There's ultimately no reason not to take advantage of these free upgrades in this scenario, especially if the next-gen enhancements Bethesda has planned for the new edition are substantial. For PlayStation players who don't have the option to use mods and fans on both Xbox and PC who prefer the vanilla Skyrim experience, I think upgrading Skyrim Special Edition to the Anniversary Edition that features next-gen enhancements and the new fishing mechanic will be a no-brainer.

Kiddo Sites/Apps!
Tumblr media
Hi hi! I always see a lot of posts recommending sites and apps for age regressors but a lot of the time they’re the same things, so I thought I’d make my own! All the sites and apps on here are free, don’t worry! (Some may have ads or in-app purchase, though!) It’s under the cut cause I tried to include some preview pictures which made it kinda long! If anyone would like to add more or have me add more, just let me know! Have fun and stay safe during this time of quarantine and social distancing!
Tumblr media
WEBSITES
- DisneyClips
This is probably my FAVOURITE site for when I’m regressed! It’s made by Disney fans for Disney fans, and is updated with new activites pretty often! It has a bunch of safe and fun games, quizzes, coloring pages, and even things like analysis charts for kiddos whose special interest or hyperfixation is Disney! It has dress up games that are super-duper easy and cute, and I love them because their style looks like it could come right out of the film it’s from! Like the dresses and everything, and they stick to each princess’s style while making different dresses from the original ones! It’s crazy!!
Tumblr media
-PBS Kids
A classic but awesome site!! You can watch all sorts of episodes for free, you don’t have to put in an email or anything! There are even games and episodes from shows that have long since gone off the air!
Tumblr media
-American Girl
Don’t be fooled by the site’s title, this site is for everyone! If you’re familiar with the American Girl characters, there’s lots of dress up and themed games, and if you’re not familiar with the characters, don’t worry cause there’s still super cute games like pet grooming and, my favourite, Coconut’s Safari! I linked to the games page, but there’s quizzes and polls, too!
Tumblr media
-Webkinz
I’m sure a lot of you know about Webkinz already, but it hasn’t gone anywhere even after all these years! It’s one of my favourite sites, and it’s free to play now! For people unfamiliar with Webkinz, it’s a virtual world where you can raise a pet, decorate rooms, and collect all sorts of objects, food, and clothing! You can play this one online, with their new desktop app, or with their mobile app! (I will warn you, though, the mobile app does not have that much stuff on it)
Tumblr media
-Poptropica
Poptropica has been around for a while too, but it’s changed a lot in recent years! You can play it online and there’s also an app. This one is probably for older kiddos, though - it has a lot of puzzles and requires a lot of thinking at times, so if you’re looking for a relaxing game this probably isn’t it.

APPS
- Habitica
Habitica is a super-duper easy habit tracker/reminder app! I use it to remind me to take my meds, shower, brush my teeth, things like that! But you put in your habits and to-do list so you can personalize it! Usually I don’t like apps like this because they offer no incentive but Habitica turns it into an RPG like Dungeons and Dragons!! So you can level up and get equipment and even pets! What I love about it, too, is that if you ever have any question, their FAQ is super clear and easy to understand, which makes it ideal for autistic kids like me!
Tumblr media
- Cookie Run
Cookie Run is an oldie but a goldie! It’s a running platformer game where you can collect lots of cute cookies and their pets and learn their stories! Plus there’s canon LGBTQ+ rep with some of the cookie heroes! Cookie Run has a lot of bright colours and fast movement though, so it might not be the best game for kiddos with seizures or sensory issues!
- My Tamagotchi Forever
Super cute revamp of tamagotchi!! Your pets don’t run away or anything in this one, haha! You can decorate your town and your house with coins you earn from simple minigames, and you can dress up your tamagotchis in different outfits and fill out their scrapbooks and collect them all! I really liked this app, definitely one of my favorites :)
Tumblr media
- Hello Kitty Lunchbox
Super simple “cooking” game! Again, this is a super easy, no hassle game and is good for really young kiddos. You get to make a lunch for Hello Kitty and decorate it, along with her lunchbox before “eating” your meal. But again, I wanna stress this one is super simple and some kids may get bored of it.
Tumblr media
-Pocket Ponies
A My Little Pony version of the classic ball shooter game. You aim to hit enemies with your balls, and eventually charge up your ponies so they can perform their special action. You get to collect My Little Pony characters and each one has a different ability.
Tumblr media
-Hello Kitty Music Party
This one’s more of an idle tapper game. It wants you to tap on your screen along with the beat of the music, but even if you don’t tap with the beat you can still get rewards! It has a couple cutesy pop songs in the app, but it can also access your music library on your device so you can tap with whatever you want! The app itself doesn’t offer much instruction but it’s fairly simple to figure out. But like the other Hello Kitty game, it can grow boring quickly for some kids, which is why it became an idle game for me.
Tumblr media
-Disney TsumTsum
This one is kind of like Bejeweled or Candy Crush - you connect little Disney characters to make them “pop!” You get to collect a bunch of different characters and each character has a special ability.
Tumblr media
YOUTUBE CHANNELS
-RescueHero’s Nostalgia Zone
A lesser known channel but it’s one of my favorites! It’s a gameplay channel, but pretty much every video is old video games like TV plug and plays, leapster/leap frog games, or CD-ROM games from the 2000s. It’s an active channel, too, and tends to upload every week or so! From what I can tell, there’s no voiceover and their videos are just simple, nostalgic gameplay.
-Shirley Curry
This one’s a little weird but it’s very wholesome - it’s a grandma in her 80′s(?) who loves to play video games! She mostly plays games for older kiddos like Skyrim, but her videos are very calming and she’s very cute in the way she comments on games. She’s super sweet to her viewers and calls them her grandkids, and usuaslly responds in comments. Her videos are also easy videos to listen to in the background, too.

I don’t watch a lot of toy channels because a lot of the time they’re over the top and super corny or just... really weird, but this channel is run by two people (I think they are a couple but I’m not sure) named Shannon and Paul, and they’re very casual about their videos (despite the corny thumbnails, lol). Anyway, they mostly do blind bag openings for trinkets and toys that are currently on the shelves - things like Tokidoki, LOL Dolls, Shopkins, minifigures, things like that. It’s a very good channel if you like those cutesy sorts of things but don’t have the money to get them yourself! To my knowledge they’re not really sponsored, so there’s no encouraging you to buy a product or anything like that. Like I said, they’re very casual and do talk during the videos but they talk a little slow and there’s no background music, so they are very easy to understand! I believe Shannon also has a doll-specific channel, too, if you’re into that.

Better known as piropito, this channel is well known for its really cute and wholesome Minecraft gameplay that you can start watching here. This is a Japanese channel, but he captions his own videos, so don’t worry! Anyway, his goal was to figure out everything in Minecraft with absolutely no cheats or searching the web for information or anything like that. That’s really the only thing I’d recommend on this channel, however, and do be careful because they do have some horror game playthroughs on there so stay safe!
-Sesame Street
Not much to explain here! It’s Sesame Street, and they post clips of the show, songs, and sometimes even full episodes.

I put up a poll about which side I should take for the civil war questline in my line Skyrim playthrough, and Team Bootlicker won by a huge margin, but if I’m really thinking about it...Servyn probably would join the Stormcloaks, as he already hates the Empire and could very easily be manipulated into joining with them to “get back at his oppressors”
I mean, assuming Servyn lives up to the events of the Red Year and flees to Skyrim with other dunmer refugees, he’d likely settle in Windhelm and be right there in the perfect place to become radicalized. It wouldn’t even be wrong; on top of the reasons Servyn already hates the Empire, they did completely abandon Morrowind during the crisis, so he honestly might actually join them without realizing how bad the Stormcloaks are too.
Of course, he’d find out eventually and defect. I don’t really know what he’d do by that point lasdjfsj
