facts:

he feeds off of violence, pain, betrayal and depravity the same way those little fish who follow sharks around feed on their scraps

he boosts her charisma and lowers her constitution by being attached to her. this is why her con sucks so bad

he's contagious and he can spread to other people like he's The Thing but only if they've eaten other humanoids before, which means the only vulnerable party member is potentially Astarion, and also why she doesn't hang around him that much. there are for sure other bhaalists he's been parasiting off of down in the sewers, though.

he's averse to light and fire. he usually lives in her shadow and when he's not actively listening in or hanging around, she has no shadow.
