i could swear to god that he had never considered being willing to have children in his life. having experienced abuse as a child, he veered away from the concept of a family and even from love itself. kaiser who’s not interested in building a family because he doesn't know any better and has never experienced a stable family. in fact, he doesn't even consider ending the trauma; he just doesn't give a damn anymore. he has no faith in love or miracles.

but suddenly, he found himself here, with three beautiful daughters who looked at him with eyes full of love and admiration. they were a constant reminder of a life he had never imagined for himself, and yet, they filled a void he hadn’t known existed.

he watched as his youngest daughter, barely three years old, toddled towards him with a giggle, her tiny hands reaching out for him. he gently scooped her up, fearing it might break, but her warmth against his chest soothed him down. her laughter was infectious, and despite himself, a smile tugged at his lips.

your voice called out from the kitchen, “michael, can you help with the twins? they’re arguing over the crayons again.”

kaiser sighed, but there was no real frustration behind it. “alright, i’m coming, mein liebling,” he replied, setting down the youngest and heading towards the living room where the chaos was in full swing.

when you joined him in the living room, you gave him a knowing smile. “you’re doing great, you know.”

but he shook his head, his eyes reflecting the turmoil of his past. “i never thought i’d be here,” he admitted quietly, showing another vulnerability of his. “i never thought i’d have a family, let alone be any good at this.”

you took his hand, squeezing it gently. “none of us know what we’re doing at first. but look at them, mein mann. they’re happy, and they love you. you’re their hero. du bist unser held.”

a lump formed in his throat, and he swallowed hard, unable to speak for a moment. “i just… i never had this,” he finally said. “i don’t know how to be a good father.”

“you are a good father, michael,” you insisted, eyes filled with conviction. “you’re here, you love them, and you try every day. that’s more than enough.”

he looked at you, his wife, the one who had seen through his walls and loved him despite everything. “i don’t deserve you,” he whispered.

you smiled, leaning in to kiss him softly. “you deserve all the happiness in the world, michael. and you deserve this family.”

Kurogiri used to take walks with Tomura when he was young because he heard about the times Tomura would get ganged up on and he didn’t want AFO’s successor to accidentally die in a gang fight (by which I mean he’s a worried dad who doesn’t want his baby to get covered in more boo-boos than necessary). He made these guardian-ward strolls a “once a week” sort of thing, where they would run an errand or two so Tomura could experience better parts of the city and eventually visit a park to wind down if they neede a break from human interaction.

As he got older, Tomura could take walks whenever he wanted, now knowing locations that weren’t shady back alleys and were actually safer routes so he wouldn’t get dragged into a scene. Even so, he’d always let Kurogiri tag along on Sundays (as long as they get to stop for junk food… ok fine we can go to that park afterwards but the birds better not steal my chips).

Jason: sad smile but above all I was powerful...but they couldn't understand me I knew Latin I didn't know any English... They didn't try to understand me. They just saw a angry scared kid with more power than they knew to deal with...

Percy: realisation, clenches fist.. So they tried to control you.

Jason: rests his head on Percy's shoulder I don't remember it, it's pretty blurry when I try to recall what happened. But there was a collar and it... Shaking every time I stepped outta line.

Percy: holds him close, wishing he could sheild Jason from all his pain I've got you, I'm right here Jase. It's just you and me.

Jason: crumbles into his arms

Percy: kisses his forehead and gently wipes his tears, just holds Jason in his arms

Jason: I'm sorry

Percy: I am going to banish that word from your vocab one day Jase. Nothing about this is your fault.

Jason: I guess... But if I had just... Done what I was told...

Percy: softly Jason, you were a child it was their job to protect you. To let you grow not torture you for something out of your control. Kisses his cheek There is never, never a good excuse to hurt a kid. Looks him in the eye, thinking of his own past I need you to know that, sunshine.

Jason: nods I know

Percy:... Soo attempts to be casual but there's anger in his voice when's the next big camp meeting... Got some, words for the good centurions.

Jason: Percy, please don't start a war because of me.

Percy: They should've thought about that before hurting my boyfriend! I'm sure Frank would send over my olf Praetor robes if I asked.

Jason: Percy!

Percy: I won't start a war, just gonna talk to them.

Jason: With your sword?

Percy: Pfft no, silly Jason swords don't speak.

Jason: gets a giggle out of him

Percy: grins, ruffles his hair you're everything to me, you hear? I trust you to have my back when mines against a wall. Your skills, amazing, your powers are just as incredible as you, your brain is big and smart. You are so much more than what they tried to make you.
