ive never had such an emotional rollercoaster of a day what the fuck

#a good thing made me lose it this time jhbvhdhj #i got a worrying text from my dad just before my lecture started so i left #cue minor breakdown in the corridor #professor definitely saw me leave because i was at the front in the middle #i just emailed him to apologise - he doesn't know me but i wanted to say i didn't mean to be rude #also said i enjoyed his lectures #he replied and his email says-#'I shouldn't say this but going by your coursework you are doing very well indeed'#then well done and 'i didnt just say that' dfjhbjhdfvgh #that's. nice #for context- he always jokes about awkward silences in his lectures because he asks questions and insists on an answer #i said i enjoyed the lectures despite any awkward silences #and he was saying i can talk to him privately if i have questions (bc he knows people don't like to talk sometimes)#hence . led on to the coursework comment #idk why i'm sharing this i'm just trying to bask in a win for once #marks aren't released yet so that's very good news #because it was a mechanical engineering report #and i don't do mechanical engineering #so i struggled #apparently the struggle paid off #thinking about how hard i would smash this degree if i didnt have parents acting up ffs #i will thank my professor for the news i definitely didn't just hear from him #and i won't tell him he just kind of handed me the strength to maybe survive the rest of today #thank u professor martin #i will rate your module so well in the end of module survey

Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

Is good actually.#It's so much easier to eyeball what a colour would look like in a setting instead of colourpicking the OG palette and struggling with...#...like 9 overlay and multiply and soft/hard light layers #Approximating colour genuinely looks better than forcing local colour into the piece. As long as the values are still there it works out #comic

idk if anyone else felt this way, but in the Shapeshifter ep of Dungeon Meshi, it's treated like a joke that all the copies of Laios are super obviously not him, but isn't it kind of fucked up that Laios's closest companions don't seem to view him as... whole?

None of his companions had an accurate view of him as a person! One of the copies was a stupid, drooling mess! And on top of this, they all believed that because Laios struggles with social cues he wouldn't be observant to them as people. They just... fundamentally don't understand him.

I think the really accurate copies of the rest of the party was drawn from Laios's mind. His powers of observation and analytics are his strength, but that's not the same as being good with social cues.

Anyway. It made me really sad. I know his party cares about him, but it's so isolating to know your friends don't know you.
