New IJ oc moment.

Cognito was made after Reagan took over and she needed some help with the more mundane tasks. She builds it in a secret area of the building so only she can access the AI meaning that Cognito technically doesn't have a physical form that many see, it tends to just speak through a watch on Reagans arm or the speakers/cameras throughout the building.

Cognito chose to name itself after the company because at a certain point it stops differentiating between where the AI ends and the building begins. In essence the building IS Cognito's body.

I have a disease that makes me make all my ocs a little evil so obvs Cognito is a little evil too. Also Reagan's track record with making normal AI is..not great AJDJDJS. At some point Cognito starts to take over more jobs and at first Reagan thinks of it as a sweet gesture but eventually Cognito is trying to do EVERYTHING and its super obvious it's trying to take over Reagans position as head of Cognito.

I'm not sure where to go from there yet so yeah <3 evil little AI also sometimes it gets into little fights with AB because of course those two would.

So i just learned that in transformers Rise of the beasts, they based Optimus' face under his battle mask off of Peter Cullen (aka THE VOICE OF OPTIMUS PRIME SINCE 1984)

And from what I'm aware, they only publicly released that they made that design choice AFTER trailers released and people were saying Optimus' design was terrible and ugly, which is so disrespectful

And I'm gonna cry about this ajdjdj

While also on this topic, I am sick of being told "bayverse sucks!!!" Or some other equivalent when people talk about the bayverse movies

Because Optimus was voiced IN EVERY ONE OF THOSE FILMS by Peter Cullen, so that's just,,, don't disrespect who MADE YOUR FANDOM WHAT IT IS (give him credit for how well he did everything at least, you don't HAVE to like bayverse, no one is forcing you)

Transformers fans (mostly newer ones/ones who have gotten into the fandom in the past three to four years, I've noticed) are the vast majority of those who are CONSTANTLY bashing designs.

It's been done with bayverse (YEARS after the films released and did FANTASTICALLY), it's happened to Earthspark, and now to ROTB. This is bullshit and so disrespectful. You can criticize a design without being a dick, for one, and two? The animators didn't ask your god damn opinion.

And ALSO the reason they did his model after his face in rotb? Because *Hasbro wouldn't hire Peter Cullen this time around so (I assume) they did it to honour him because he was disrespected and tossed to the side by Hasbro because Hasbro sucks ass

He's the reason we HAVE OPTIMUS PRIME. Not a single voice could've fit, not a single person would've made Optimus who he is other than Peter Cullen.

He's the reason we have transformers prime. (Because he VOICES OPTIMUS HERE TOO) And the TFP movie (TFP beast hunters predacons rising, where he ONCE AGAIN VOICES OPTIMUS). And he's the reason why we have the continuation of that, which is transformers robots in disguise (WHERE HE IS, ONCE AGAIN, OPTIMUS MOTHERFUCKING PRIME) And then THAT became comics with tfp's characters that didn't exist anywhere else in canon (as far as I'm aware, it's been a while, IE knockout and breakout with their TFP DESIGNS, etc) then became earthspark later down the line, which was a mix of mtmte, TFP, and bayverse designs in concept art bc it combined ideas

Bayverse is ALSO ALSO the reason we HAVE ROTB. AND BUMBLEBEE 2018.

The reason I say he's responsible for all of these? The reason I say that Bayverse is a backbone for transformers (branching off from G1 ofc)? Because every single new fucking continuity or series or comics or whatever the hell is ALWAYS based on preexisting designs merging with new ideas.

He made Optimus Prime who Optimus Prime is and frankly I am a little god damn sick of people saying "this series/movie is bad" or whatever just because they don't like it

Anyways I had to rant but I'm not sorry about it and I hope others can feel a bit heard because I am so fed up with online slander.

I grew up with Bayverse. It gave me my entire start to this fandom. It gave THOUSANDS OF US STARTS TO THIS FANDOM. It is the SOLE reason we have so much we have now, as much as we have- and god damnit, you don't have to like it but UNDERSTAND it is the ONLY reason you have more than 3/4 the content this fandom currently does (if not more)

world of wool advent days 1, 2, and 3 :]

spinning mohair forbday 1 was a new, and very messy, experience but I quite enjoyed it once I figured it out, of course idk if it's really going to stay together until I knit with it, but I got through plying without much splitting so that's a good sign

the next two weren't as complicated, both mostly long drawn with a higher twist, then I did my first attempt at plying from a centre pull ball with day 2, and it actually went okay and I'm not so scared of it anymore so I did the same for day 3 ajdjdj, yippee for no fibre loss !!

I want to keep this up for the rest of the advent, but I don't think I'm gonna manage that by the end of the year lol, it's taken be this long to spin the first three and my wrist is very not happy about it, so I'm gonna keep trucking along with them at my own pace between wrist brakes heehee ^-^

TW for medical trauma, brief mention of NCCSA

heyyy this is a follow up to the asker who was in the ED for a possible stroke (wasn’t a stroke but that was the main headline)— you can call me izzy

so first thing, good news!! I have an MRI scheduled for the 9th, they gave me anxiety meds too, so I should be alright when I go in :) very excited to see what’s up

second thing, my roommate and I got into a huge fight over what happened the night of my ER visit. When I got home from the ER, I had been there for 8 hours and I was flushed full of drugs that made me super sleepy- he hadn’t rlly contacted me while I was there, even tho I’d made an effort to reach out to him.. but when I came in I was like “hey man I’m so tired and out of it, I need to sleep now, can I please turn off the light”

and he was like “..uhhh no sorry I have work to do”,,, so that. made me feel kinda crappy cause I couldn’t even have the light on. I brought it up a few weeks later cause I still felt pretty crummy abt it, and I told him it made me feel like my feelings didn’t matter to him. he listened to me and then went “okay” and walked away

And that rlly bugged me too???? because like he didn’t even say anything he just left. So I called him back in and was like “hey man what the heck,” and from there he told me that he was thinking abt himself, he had work to do, and that he wasn’t my close friend or partner so I shouldn’t have expected him to drop everything to see me in the ER (which I wasn’t expecting)

I told him that he could’ve done his work earlier on but he chose to hang out with his friends. he didn’t like that and I realize now it was rude to insult him like that— he’s allowed to have a social life

but after that discussion he went to our mutual friend and described the situation— and to him (the friend) I was “being sensitive” and I could’ve just worn a sleep mask,,, but that friend also didn’t know I was there for 8 hours, and once he found that out he thought my roommate was being a dick

anyway. yeah. that’s everything. I should also note that my roommate hasn’t been the kindest to me- when I opened up abt my grooming trauma, he was like “oh I’ve never been groomed before idk what that’s like, I just stuck around people I knew”, and he also basically implied that if I want a relationship in college I need to settle for one night stands and nothing else,,,, also tried to drown a girl in middle school and was openly fucking with a guy who was in a relationship so IDK if he’s the best source of information

but yeah basically. Am I the asshole AJDJDJ was I being rude???? Cause now he won’t talk to me and he removed me from his spam Instagram so 😭😭

Honestly I'm having a hard time telling who's in the wrong in that situation. I think It's a fair request to ask to turn out the light, especially after the day you had, but of course your roommate had things to do that required the light stay on. I think that while turning the light off would've been the kind and thoughtful thing for your roommate to do, I think it's also fair for them to keep the light on especially if they need it for work. It's sort of like a boundary clash. I can definitely see how that made you feel perhaps like you didn't matter.

That being said, your roommate sounds rude and insensitive, especially based off the other details you mentioned about him. It doesn't sound like you were rude at any point really, so I would say NTA.

If I'm going to be very honest I think it may be time for a new roommate because you don't deserve to feel tense or unwelcome in your own... abode, you know?

oh yeah i do have a question actually: which wishes should i be buying??? they come in blue or rainbow and clearly work on different sections of the gatcha but i have No Idea what the actual difference is...

the rainbow ones are for limited time character wishes. there's what are called banner characters and they're rarer characters that you can only get for a certain period of time. for example the current banner character is kamisato ayaka, she's only available for a limited time and once her banner is gone it won't be possible for you to get her when you wish until whenever she's re-released again, which won't be for a long time probably. blue wishes on the other hand are for non-limited characters that you can pull any time. so in my opinion unless you're trying to get a specific character that's available in the blue pulls, using the rainbow ones is better.

he has three pupperino’s. all as adorable as each other, snickerdoodle is his golden lab and often ppl shorten it down to snickers, butterscotch is his dapple daschund pup, shortens the name to scotchie often. toulouse is his fancy toy poodle boi, shortens the name down as toto. if u are on the shortened name basis with his pups then u can consider urself one of his close pals. 

he’s actually adopted by his aunt but she raised him like she was his mother so that is what he considers her, she’s on his mother’s side but they are half-siblings. in terms of first name reasoning as well she just liked eunha as a name and didn’t even think about how it is traditionally for a female, she liked that it meant gift from heaven so it stuck. his father is still around, he’s just quite elderly so it felt like a better living situation for him to be raised primarily by his auntie. unfortunately his mother has passed on but no tragic story, she just went peacefully in old age. 

he dyes his hair quite often, it’s currently like a really pastel blue with black streaks consistently throughout like lil ones so it looks super cool. but he’s also had it be a more electric blue, lilac, and a duck egg kinda faded silvery blue. it’s naturally dark brunette. has brown eyes kind of a hazel hue. 

his style is kinda androgynous ig?? he just lives for soft retro fashion, lots of color in his wardrobe but also lots of tapered short and t-shirt fits frequented, sweater vests, rolled up jeans, high skater boi socks, soft jumpers with shirts, shirts in bright colours or satiny texture worn over plain white t-shirts, cardigans, pastel denim jackets, jeans with printed patterns on like clouds, flowers etc, favors yellow and blues. sometimes does eye makeup, occasionally wears heels bc he’s a baddie or super heeled boots/chunky shoes.

studies nutritional science and he fucken hates it. do not ask him shit cause he doesn’t KNOW OKAY? he doesn’t understand it either. he took it because he needed something to go alongside the passion for baking that was a real ‘qualification’/job so that is the only reason he’s doing it. no point doing a baking degree after all when he’s already a baker with a business, he’s super young still he gotta keep his prospects open. so YAH. he’d rather be doing culinary arts but eh. nutritional science sounded better and more logic based. the real miracle is he still gets top grades all the time even tho he spends his life like wtf am i even doing is this even legit akdkdk. school is the worst thing in the world for him watch his mood instantly deflate the second its brought up. 

despite being a quixotic, he’s a lil afraid of intimacy. like oh god does he love it, those small touches and acts of affection u kno? the subtle things that normally go unnoticed, eye contact, brushing of hands, linking of little fingers, rubbing a thumb, kissing eyelids or foreheads or palms or shoulders in little gentle pecks, back massages and rubs or finger tracing patterns absent-minded, shoulder massages, laying your head on someone’s shoulder or on their lap, knocking knees together, exchanging a small glance only the two of you get before bursting into laughter, smiling into kisses, napping together, having blankets placed over you warm and fresh, or towels put ready like it, someone making you something they know you like a lot. that’s his sHIT. but like he’s terrified still, someone skimming their fingers on his skin makes his breath hitch like he’s a scandalized and alarmingly aroused victorian woman sjdjd. he’s literally still a virgin, he hasn’t even had his first kiss okay my baby is delicate be gentle with him akdkd but he still LIKES PASSION AIGHT kfkf.

does not enjoy turning in assignments bc he is scared he’ll fail, avoids looking at his grades for weeks after they’re released and hates knowing that they’re out. 

cannot dance, dances often. collects vintage stuff esp clothes and mostly sweaters. likes midnight trips to corner stores and fields where he can just lay and look at the stars. makes friends rlly easily but has super bad performance anxiety. cannot ever have a messy room like even the tiniest bit messy. even like clothes being stacked on a chair instead of away. 

bakes peanut butter, banana and choc chip muffins (they r called monkey bites normally) whenever he’s super stressed. if u want to cheer him up when he’s anxious or stressed then u should give him french lavender honey, chia seeds and caramelized pear on toast/bagel. it is his comfort food. he fancii when he needs a pick me up. treat urself and all that.
