#posting here since there are more of you than on the writing blog#where do y'all prefer to 1) post longform writing and 2) read longform writing?#(by which I mean anything longer than a few chapters)#is tumblr your preference?#I know some folks use AO3 and tag it as original writing#some have different blogs (hosted by wordpress? something else?)#I used wattpad years ago but it's very much meh#there used to be another site I loved but it shut down maybe a year after I found it#(can't even remember the name of it now)#are there other options?#I'm considering posting one of my older novels (the beauty and the beast-inspired one because I still love it)#and am not sure where to do so#so...help?

one of the most infuriating things about becoming an adult is when you realize that it actually is 10x easier to solve problems by making a phone call vs literally any other communication method
#I was forced to get over my hatred of making phone calls bc of this#one 15 minute phone call is the equivalent of 5 back and forth emails#also if you don't know exactly what you need help with you can just ask and you can get real help#instead of just desperately clawing at faqs on websites#it's infuriating that it works so well#ramblings

I think Toriel is an alcoholic. The scene at the very end of chapter 4 where she's dancing with Sans, I wanted to highlight Kris's reaction.
They're disappointed and embarrassed Suzie has to see this, but they're not surprised like she is. They don't want to engage in this situation at all.
She's a happy drunk, having a good time, sure. She offers Kris some food, but doesn't engage with them at all. Doesn't check in why they were out so late or on their mental state. There's so many themes of neglect in deltarune that this clearly isn't just a one off event.
This scene is just a Lot, it just struck me mostly because I watched nearly this exact same scene play out with my own mother.
