I did it 1 year sober from alcohol

If you had told me a year ago that I would never have another sip of alcohol, I would’ve told you that you were fucking crazy-that this was my way of living and dealing with the crap that I had to deal with. I will not say it has been a easy journey. I have failed myself, my friends but throughout all of that I continued to push to not give up.I know it’s been said probably 1000 times but if you have the right support system it can get better for you, and that’s what I am most grateful for the people in my life who have pushed me to be better to get the help that I needed. There are enough words to say thank you. who I was… It wasn’t me, but the person I am now I think it is! am I perfect,fuck no, but nobody is we are all just trying to push through the best we can and I think that’s beautiful don’t you?

Today, I have reached 4 years of sobriety. So in a way, I am 4 years old today.

Through a pandemic, through a move, and through two major losses. Beezes I'm here. Here's to another 24.
