If, after a fight, would big mama willing help them patch up or do they have to patch each other up on their own? Does it depend on Mama's mood? Does Leo have any 'privileges' like donnie does with tech? Would Mama destroy Donnie's tech if she was in a particularly bad mood? What's the worst punishment she ever gave them? Did they get into trouble a lot?

-> big mama comes and visits them after every fight, and if they were still in need patching by the time she got there, perhaps she would take the time to bandage them up and tend to their injuries.

but we'll never know. because the twins have always taken care to patch each other up before big mama arrives. every other fighter in the nexus takes care of themselves, and they both feel confident that if they didn't follow suit, she would be disappointed in them. it always takes her a little bit to come see them after a fight, anyway... another cue, in their minds, of the expectation.

if their wounds are severe enough, they can seek care at the nexus infirmary-- but they've both gotten pretty good at handling things on their own by now.

-> leo doesn't really have 'privileges' the way donnie does, because he doesn't rely on physical items like him. sometimes he loses 'weapon privileges,' as does donnie. the justification from big mama is that always having tech in the nexus 'Bores The Fans--' they didn't come to watch donnie show off his tech, after all, they came for good, old-fashioned bloodsport! it really just depends on her mood, though. and refusing to let donnie bring his tech into the nexus isn't simply a punishment for him. it can just as easily be a punishment for leo, and all three of them know it.

-> when donnie and leo were little, they never got in trouble. they could do whatever the hell they wanted and big mama didn't give a single fuck. it drove all the hotel employees crazy 'cause they would get away with murder. once they turned eight, however, and were 'old enough' to begin training for their nexus careers, this abruptly changed. this was very difficult for the twins to process and adapt to, and they got 'in trouble' very frequently from around the ages 8-13 because they just... didn't know how not to. things that were once totally okay were now very much not, and they'd get in trouble for anything from speaking out of turn to being late to dinner to not standing up straight in public. by now, they have a pretty decent handle on the situation, though they still can't quite manage to stay out of trouble all the time... the rules are just a bit... unclear. and the expectations are very high.

hi! this is my first one, sorry if it makes no sense, but Fae gave me an idea for Cub. Vexes are a rare type of Fae. they are also labeled as 'Metal Fae", being one of the few, if not the only species of Fae that can handle any and all metal and are often born with some sort of metal that is most important and after for an early gift, receive a jewelry piece made out of said metal (ie. Golden earring, Copper necklace, etc). another thing that makes Vexes so unique is you can 'tame' them, this is a very hard feat to complete. there are 2 ways to tame a Vex, the first and more common being to take their metal piece, and they are forever in debt and loyal to you until you or they die, or until they get their jewelry piece back. the other way is to prove your loyalty to them and in turn, they will gift you a matching jewelry piece to theirs, this type of taming can never be undone and forever bonds the player and the Vex.

Cub, being an Iron vex makes it harder for him to trust others as his unique gift with Iron had people constantly trying to tame him, or using him for their own gain.

so when Cub finally felt comfortable enough in the Hermit polycule, he gifted every member an iron earring, matching the one he has. it was a sweet gesture and all the hermits felt very touched when they received them, knowing it was an act of true and ever-lasting trust.

but when the resident Vex's earring was suddenly missing, along with the Vex, himself. the hermits made the message clear no one else could mess with their vex.

The hermits have never liked the terminology of 'taming'. The first method is controlling someone, the second is gaining their trust. They never expected Cub to gift them something, and they're honoured he trusts them that much.

So they are very angry when he goes missing. And angry hermits are not people to be messed with.

It's safe to say Cub is back with them within twenty-four hours. The first thing Scar does is give Cub back his earring - having slipped it whilst the thief was distracted by the other hermits. Cub looks shocked at such a simple gesture, and Scar's heart breaks right there and then.

They're going to make sure Cub knows they'll come after him, no matter what. The bond goes both ways, like it should.

Second question of the day, Grian. Is he also gender fluid or just wanted to dress fem? And if he is gender fluid does he have a 2nd fem name?

For Grian my take for him is he's also Genderfluid, but he goes the same name since they like their name a lot (considering in my version, their first name is Chanwick and their second name is Grian)

Grian however doesn't care what pronouns you give him (in my take). They go by any pronouns at best and just dress fluidly whenever they want. Isn't really the type to announce.

Kendra let’s Donnie wear his mask whenever he wants, but his headphones are mostly for when he’s working, because they help him. Otherwise Kendra confiscates them and keeps them with his battle-shell (It’s also just sometimes I decide to draw them and sometimes I don’t 😂)

@sokda-lal-ashes of course! After he’s rescued he doesn’t understand why he’s been taken by his family. He thinks they just want him to fix something. There does have to be a roster of someone always watching him.

Donnie’s Ninpo starts to get weaker, and it really affects his health. Kinda like that quick moment of feedback in the movie right after it’s locked, where Leo tries to tap into it, and got some painful looking kickback. Because Kendra is constantly making him use it, it’s tough on him. Which is lucky in a roundabout way, because it allows the boys to get close and grab Donnie, without a wall of guns pointed at them.

The sporelings are all based on a type of fungus. the added limbs like wings and tails are based on the fact that i like how it looks lol. This is what I came up with so far ^^

The missing three siblings found

These are Jennika, Venus, and Kirby.

@sokda-lal-ashes and I thought of what they would look like in Rise.

We thought that Jennika would be a leatherback (control plants power), Venus would be a sea turtle (wind power), and Kirby a diamondback terrapin (animal magic/power).

We also thought of who would be the oldest to youngest of the rise siblings (I hope this makes sense): Jennika would be 2nd sibling, Venus would be 3rd sibling, and Kirby would the 7th sibling.

Xisuma is the next in line for the throne. Being crown Prince, X had oh so many boring and dry meetings he had to attend regularly. Part of the only reason X can survive these is the time he gets with his advisor and lover, Cub.

Cub didn't seem all that special to the council, he was common born and not very eye-catching (in their incorrect opinion) so they often forget him there. Council members often talk freely amongst themselves when X leaves, forgetting the Vex hidden in the shadows, always listening.

On the outside their relationship souly looks like a cold work partnership. Leaving people to speculate what is Cub really doing and what does he gain from this, as there is no public show of his gain. Others back up these claims with proof of Xisuma seemingly 'too reliant' on Cub's opinion and advice. This leads people to say Cub is trying to be the power behind the throne.

Well all of this simply isn't true. Cub has seen the corruption power can do, and he wants no part of it. On X's part he understands he may be considered a little naive, so that's why he trusts Cub to get him what others won't tell him. As well as the fact Cub has a different perspective that X does. Being a common born, Cub can see things that are between the lies, and is trusted enough to not spin his own. So ofc X will listen to Cub's opinion and advice as it is true and nothing for cubs own gain. In fact if there was anything Cub does want, he wouldn't have to lie to get it, he could just ask the prince himself. And with eyes like those how could X ever say no. So Cub has no need to lie, and as for payment? Well his lover makes sure to treat him right.

Cub always lays out the facts for him - whatever they may be. Financial issues that a noble didn't inform him of, the council's opinion on a latest policy, whispers of a security issue at the wall. Cub hears all of it. He learnt, as a child, how information can get you a lot of things. Whilst he didn't have the best intentions back then, he's left those days behind him.

He just doesn't see the point in lying to Xisuma. He rarely has anything to gain from it, and he'd rather stay in his parents' good graces. Xisuma will be a good ruler when the time comes.

Cub's going to help to make sure of it.

Not sure if this had been asked, but wjth yesterday's post, did Ariana/Arthur tell Cud or did he see they way they dressed and knew? If its the latter, what was the indicator on which same to said

Ari would always tell Cub if they feel a certain gender regardless if they're far from each other or near. If they didn't, Cub plays it safe and uses they/them, calling them Ari, which they're very fine with if he doesn't know. He's not the type to ask (as he forgets a lot to do so)

Sometimes Ariana could dress as masc but still go by she/her, sometimes Arthur could dress as fem but still go by he/him.

Hi again! Kinda a part 2 of one of my questions from before, what all did big mama break? Was it battle shells? Staffs? Headphones? Goggles? Other? Did she do it in front of donnie and leo? Did she give donnie back the pieces as a reminder? Or let him keep it because he wanted? Or throw them away so he couldn't fix it? Has this ever made donnie break down, watching mama break his hard work? Did he have to get replacements on his own?

Unrelated question -

Did any of the staff ever hurt the twins? Like outside of the nexus? If so, did they do it when the twins were younger, before the battle nexus? Or after as well? How did big mama react if/how was the staff member punished? What was the worst injury Donnie got? The worst Leo got?

Big Mama would never OUTRIGHT destroy his tech as a PUNISHMENT... she is very rarely openly cruel to them. But if Donnie has upset her, or if she has any reason to not want him to have any particular piece of tech, she'll find a reason to get rid of it, whether it is mysteriously 'broken,' goes missing, or is confiscated or given away. See below:

After every 'event' like this, Donnie will reluctantly wait until he feels like Mama isn't upset with him anymore and then will rebuild. Getting replacement parts for tech that is lost is very rarely a problem for him. It has definitely caused meltdowns before-- but never in front of Big Mama. He knows better. It will just make things worse.

None of the Nexus employees would ever DREAM of even RAISING THEIR VOICES at the twins, let alone laying a hand on either of them! One time a guest at the Grand Nexus Hotel was foolish enough to yell at the twins once when they were little... and he was never heard from again...

Does big mama find out that the twins are bio girls? If she does, is she happy or upset? Is she upset they didn't tell her? Does she try to make this a profitable thing (take this how you will)? Is she supportive or not? Did she just not know or did she not care to confirm?

Also!! I just love the tail you gave donnie!! Does leo have a tail? Is it as long as Donnie's? Also which twin is older? Do they share a room? Or do they have their own rooms? If they have their own rooms, do they have like a floor of the hotel just to themselves? Are there plans for any love interest in this au? Are Mikey and Raph also girls? Or did draxum accidentally get two girl turtles? What are all the boys (and Cassandra)'s sexual and gender identity?

lmao sorry for the wait for some reason my brain said i could not possibly answer this until i completed the egg saga and therefore answered the first part of this question. but now im also gonna do an additional part showing donnie and mama's conversation, so it'll get even more answer...

tldr; she finds out about donnie, but still does not know about leo. she is upset and essentially forbids donnie from telling anyone about this-- (cause imagine the pr nightmare.) she wasn't previously aware that they were biologically female.

also!!! thank you!!! leo does also have a tail, but it's a lot shorter and stubbier than donnie's. he's privately a bit jealous of donnie's long, pretty, expressive tail. likewise, donnie is privately a bit jealous of leo's short, simple tail, which is never stepped on or caught in doors-- but neither of them would ever admit it and would in fact claim superiority of their own tail if asked.

donnie is the older twin.

they do not share a room, but they do share a floor of the hotel. they each have their own massive bedroom, complete with en suite bathrooms, balconies, and every other bell and whistle you could ever dream of, and are 'next door neighbors' so to speak. Mama occupies the top floor just above them, and everything below them is the actual hotel.

i don't currently have plans for any love interests!

all four of the brothers identify as male (at least right now, anyway,) and mikey and raph are both biologically male. draxum did not really care about the gender of the turtles he obtained for his experiments; he just needed strong, healthy specimens. (plus, turtles are, like, notoriously hard to sex, anyway.)

leo is pretty sure that he's gay, but hasn't breathed a word of this to anyone. he's well aware that being a prettyboy bachelor and making the girls swoon or whatever the fuck is a part of his 'brand' as a performer, and that messing with this would NOT be well received by his mother.

donnie is bisexual, but hasn't really noticed or processed this himself yet, because he doesn't spend very much time or energy considering what is or is not attractive to him. he has other things to worry about, thank you. (and he's not as...... easily impressed as leo is.) it's not like either of them are out socializing with people their age or going on dates or anything, anyway.

mikey isn't into labels u w u but also hasn't really ever put too much time or energy or thought into dating or anything like that. he's busy trying to eliminate humanity <3

raph, bless his soul, has never once in his life even considered thinking critically about his gender or sexuality or anything else. that's not even a little bit in his world sphere. he has no gotdamn idea.
