Nobody should have to deal with these kinds of messages. It has more impact than the people that says those things think it does. Also, it's funny to me how the user kept themselves anonymous saying this. They know what would've happened if they said this without doing that. They think that they can just say anything on the Internet and are too cowardly to actually say something as gross as this where everyone knows it's them saying it. I think that says a lot about them tbh. Still, that anon had no right to say those things. To anyone who thinks this is funny, please do us all a favor and touch some grass. Wake up to reality for the love of God. You need a wakeup call fr 😒

Seriously, think before you make stuff like this. You could save yourself and everyone else a lot of trouble by doing so :)

I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.

About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”

But I guess the lesson goes like this:

I've seen "narrative kinks" used as a term for years. That's not a new thing, though it might have been used less with all the purity wank going on in fandom.

Also, those people aren't actually reading anything. I'm not the fastest reader at ~10k words/hour, but unless they're reading at, like, 30k/hour at the least, they'd have to do nothing except reading fic (including no sleep/work/anything else you can't do while reading) to read 280k words fics in a single day.

At best they are skimming those fics.

Hey just a general PSA from someone officially diagnosed and documented:

Now is not the time to seek out an autism diagnosis.

RFK's plans have been made very clear and any diagnosis you do get will get you put on this "national disease registry" they're proposing.

Trust me when I say I completely understand the need for accommodations and a better understanding of yourself, but if you have gone this long without being diagnosed, you will be better off waiting.

Furthermore, listen to and advocate for folks who are diagnosed, especially folks with higher support needs. They'll be the first ones targeted for whatever bullshit "experimental treatments" the government tries to push.

Stay safe and look out for your neighbor.
