Mushroom picking season is like REALLY big here. Like. It's big. Poles love mushroom picking. When I was a young boy my mother, aunt and grandparents would drop me off into the wilderness to pick boletes for 4 hours straight then get lost and have to navigate back into the car via utilizing the earth's magnetic field to determine our position which took like 1 more hour and then once we got back I had to physically recover from that shit for like an entire week. We got like at least 4 huge baskets mushrooms after that that lasted for at least a few months if they're preserved well however I do not like mushrooms so I never even ate them. Except for cultivated mushrooms these are fine the soup bangs actually

I thought this was normal in most countries but turns out it's just us and a few others in eastern/middle Europe: most movies in Poland use voice-over translation/lektor filmowy instead of dubbing/subtitles. Multiple va dubbing is reserved mostly for children's movies and those real popular but mostly younger audience marvel type movies or something, while the subtitle type of translation is pretty rare and I honestly never even seen it on tv.

A FUCKTON of roadside/wayside shrines just being there, especially in smaller towns. Sometimes theres also a single shrine in the middle of nowhere in some woods with no civilization in sight and you just don't question it

As far as I know, USAmericans (and honestly other english-speaking countries too?) really like to regard people they know only a little as a "friend" like I noticed its really really easy to get called a friend in there. Poles on the other hand are very scared of the word "friend" they really avoid saying it nearly all the time you won't hear a pole just say that. Most people are not our friends. That title is special sacred and reserved for only the worthy ones who you actually genuinely know and trust for a minimum of 10 years. In order to be considered someone's friend in Poland you have to max out all their meters complete all of their quests and defeat their father at the end. Most poles only have like 2-3 true "friends" lmao we really don't throw around that term lightly

i fell down the rabbit hole of depression again oh man.

living with depression is so crazy because internally your telling yourself you need to get up and do things and its like your body is on vacation. I hate being the way I am. all messed up in the brain. I have good days I really do but sometimes the bad out weigh the good. which is so stupid because my life is a blip on the radar compared to a lot and I do mean a lot of other peoples struggles. And some people are literally dying right now and I'm posted up in my bed upset because of some chemical imbalance.

Now I'm not shitting on mental health because it is real I.e me, but its foreal wack. like its like an out of body experience when someone with a PHd tells me I have something wrong with me I'm like welp lol.

i just cant believe all of my life choices have led me to where I am now in life. Im 28, unemployed at the moment, No education like shit man I didn't even graduate highschool. Truthfully I wish just for one single day I can go back in time to slap the shit out of my 14 year old self and tell her to get her shit together. My school days consisted of boys and friends who weren't really my friends and gaucho pants. I'm not even kidding I am not even friends with the people I spent the entirety of my pre pubescent life with. My childhood bestfriends are just facebook friends, I cant even remember the names of the boys I used to chase around at recess. Then in highschool I was more concerned about older boys and what I was gonna wear to the school dances,which I wish the fashion in 2012 weren't so well I guess now they're an "aesthetic" vibe for kids today. Yikes.

BUT I will always hold onto my skinny jeans till the day I die lol.

I doubt anyone will ever read this but if by some chance you do... I cant promise its gonna get better, but you have to fight the battle more then once to win it. So keep fighting, keep loving, and never accept less then what you deserve. truly, I know trust me I know its easier said then done, but the universe needs you.

I started reading again, I haven't gotten very far in the book I just got but I'm gonna get there. have been finally giving myself a proper bedroom. when I moved into my apartment the only thing I had for my room was a bed. now I got a big girl bed frame AND a new mattress oh and I replaced this giant desk I bought off market place for $30 dollars with a smaller one, more simple. and I got fairy lights for my curtains and today I bought a led salt lamp. very vibey in here. even as I'm dumping all this into endless typing I have lofi playing in the background. I hope oneday I can just breathe without a heaping pile of bullshit on my imaginary plate. fingers crossed.

So the Leah storyline finally comes to an end—not with a bang, but with a whimper.

What was the point of making this bitch Daryl’s girlfriend if that literally does nothing to service the story? The way he iced her so quickly just proved it meant nothing. I distinctly remember Kang telling Carylers to give this storyline a chance. What it actually amounted to was manufactured ship wars for clout. We knew this chick was never a threat to Caryl. We were asking for the bare minimum of literary payoff for the sake of Daryl’s story. That little showdown really could have been something, if you just imagine for one second Carol in Maggie’s place for that scene. Sigh.

*Can’t do a read more because I’m on mobile here but just bare with me.

This show is suffering from what I’ll henceforth call the 100 syndrome—They’re more concerned with making sure their final season sets up the future of the franchise than they are with giving cohesive payoff. I mean, not that it wasn’t cool, mind you, but if you have to insert a random plague of locusts to force subtext onto your storytelling, how impactful really is the story you’re telling?

What actually happened in these first two blocks? If this was the reason 100% of Caryl development had to be relegated to block C, why does it feel like almost nothing of real significance happened to justify that? lmao. So many storylines are still feeling like they only had their surface scratched. They have too many characters to service and they keep adding more, so obviously we were never getting CRM/the cure storyline in the main show, but the ante could seriously be upped by this point. With the exception of some key episodes, 11A and B have been slow as shit. It shouldn’t be feeling like the first two blocks were just one long trailer for part 3. I desperately want to be more emotionally invested by now, in all of the main characters’ stories, not just Caryl’s. Again, just imagine if the big gotcha was that CW were secretly rounding up sick and delinquent lower class citizens as test subjects for CRM. I guess that could still be the case, but with 8 episodes left, I highly doubt it.

Since 10C aired, my mind has been on meta brain to justify its existence, and the multitude of ways in which 11 could have gone down. Leah’s death is where I tap out of this game. I genuinely have no idea what the vehicle will be for Caryl’s story moving forward, which is kind of tantalizing. I prefer to be pleasantly surprised anyway, but when canon so far has ended up severely underwhelming in comparison to anything I’ve seen Carylers come up with, it’s hard not to seek out meaning in the shit they won’t address.

I’m still reserving final judgement until the series finale, and despite all this foolery am still largely excited for and confident 11C is going to be a critical jump in pacing and quality. I don’t see how it can’t be at this point.

what was your character like as a baby? as a child?  not too different from how they are now. aurora was a very lively, happy child! she was also absurdly kind and was full of life, while being naturally graceful and poised. i don’t think she was one to cry a lot either, and was most grateful for everything the good fairies did for her.

did they grow up rich or poor?  while she wasn’t poor, aurora had a fairly modest upbringing, since she did live in a cottage in the glen back home, but nothing lacked for her in terms of essentials and etc.

You: …what do you mean I have to leave my bed

Honestly you’re scared because you’re out of shape and definitely nothing close to a regular at the gym

You arrive at the gym with your friend, and you enter the kickboxing room

There’s around 15 people in the class, but the instructor hasn’t arrive yet

You stretch with your friend, mentally preparing yourself to absolutely die LMAO

Around five minutes before the class begins, this tall guy walks in with a duffel bag

So you’re a regular at the gym, but you haven’t really tried any of the classes offered through your membership

You sign up for a spin class that takes place every Wednesday morning, thinking it would be nice to get a workout in before work

You had to wake up at 5 am to eat something and get dressed for the class, and you find yourself dragging yourself into the locker rooms to put your things away

With sleep still evident in your features, you go to sit at one of the spin machines, resting your head on the handle waiting for impending doom

A guy walks in rocking an all-white and grey fit and puts his things down next to you, but you don’t really pay attention to him or make an effort to look at him properly

Everyone slowly trickles into the spin room, chatting amongst themselves and you’re not really sure how anyone is functioning this early

Then,, the dude next to you stands up and turns around, speaking into his head set

“Good morning everyone, welcome to intermediate spin, my name is Iwaizumi and I will be your instructor! Please be ready to go in five minutes,”

You didn’t even realize you sat next to the instructor seat lmao, and you’re stunned by how nice the man’s voice is!!! Not only did he have a nice voice, but you also overlooked him as an instructor because he was so young looking

So once everyone is ready to go, he hops onto the bike next to you

His playlist consists of Bad Bunny, electronic, and a lot of RnB the taste jumped out

As you start the machine and it shows the route that the bike is supposed to take, Iwa starts talking about the goal of the workout and the motivation its going to take to finish

We love a professional !!!

The class is hard; mostly because it’s your first time but you make it through thanks to Iwaizumi’s skilled teaching style, and the way he doesn’t leave anyone behind even if they are struggling

It also helped that he was next to you most of the session you could see every droplet of sweat on his beautiful face and tanned arms

You feel great after every session, feeling like you’re accomplishing something, and you get to see your little crush every Wednesday

It definitely makes it easier to get out of bed in the morning

You make small talk with Iwa since he’s right next to you, and slowly it progresses into a really nice friendship

the pandorica opens/the big bang - honestly, peak everything. the production value, the payoffs, the twist the pandorica is a prison, the teases for future storylines, "I AM TALKING", river running around lying the entire time, THE MUSIC. everytime i rewatch i feel like a kid in the best way. the only downsides are the TARDIS exploding is never really explained properly and River's brownface lmao

World Enough And Time/The Doctor Falls - ART! CINEMA! TWO MASTERS! THE TWO BEST MASTERS! the whole finale lives and dies on the Doctor's intimacy with the Master and the question of whether it's ENOUGH, "god knows, I don't do this because it's easy" speech makes me fucking cry. "I loved being you, every second of it" AHHHHHH. the ONLY reason it's second is cos. hm. i think what happens to bill is a little fucked and anti-Black, even if it does fit with the themes of the episode.

The Wedding of River Song - this is a great finale, but it should have been two parts. it's crammed and even though it's all really intrigueing, nothing gets to breathe cos there isn't time so nothing impacts the way it should. i mean this ep was the culmination of plotlines that were set into motion 4 years prior to this episode ffs. still, its a wild ride. loved the silence as an enemy. love the pond family saga conclusion.

The Name of the Doctor - I mean, this isn't a finale really it's a prequel to the Day of the Doctor so it operates less as a finale, except for explaining Clara's "impossibility" which was fun and the editing was very cool at the time. BUT in classic moffat fashion he kinda shit in the buffet breakfast because later, The Time of the Doctor literally undoes everything that was fun in this episode in a very careless way. but matt smith is so good in this episode tbh, his performance and chemistry with everyone is so great it makes the rewatch pretty painless. the river/doctor content this ep is 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Dark Water/Death in Heaven - I just.......hm. I love Missy's reveal and payoff, I love the exploration of grief, i love "do you think i care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference", i love the Brigadier reference, I love the performances, BUT do i love the story itself? no. do i love that the master and the doctor's romantic subtext being made explicit only cos of missy being a woman? no. it's a net zero finale in that everything i love about is cancelled out by something i hate.

Hell Bent/Heaven Sent - love these eps for Capaldi's TALENT, but literally nothing else. none of these concepts were executed well. they were overly complicated and made me wish Clara had just fuckin died. i still wish that tbh. the doctor being a pariah on Gallifrey is my FAVOURITE concept from classic who, but Moffat did it zero justice here. zero

so like. tw suicide but thats what the entire song is about and bing bang boom i just think it works so so so so so so so well with not only exile tommy (who obviously did try to kill himself) but also wilbur in a slightly more metaphorical way? so like. his self destructive habits leading him to a point where he had no choice other than to kill himself and to take his country down with him. and its all about other characters trying to help them and persuade them not to but also near the end there is a second voice trying to persuade them to go along with it, which im thinking like. if its wilbur, either dream or maybe just himself. his own brain persuading him to continue down the path that would inevitably lead to his and his countries destruction. also it works well with schlatt for the same reasons, except he doesnt want to die. maybe (since the song is so goddamn long) like. one verse for tommy one for wilbur and one for schlatt? dead gang poggg but also like. the verses cover fairly different things which work with one character but not so much the others, for example the first verse would be tommy because its mainly about persuading the person to not kill themself (which tommy did himself but shhh) the second for schlatt because its literally about drinking and smoking away your problems, and the third for wilbur since its more of a fight between the "good" and the "bad" sides, which is obviously what wilbur was experiencing. also obviously i have a soft spot for this song because its string instruments and french, basically my favourite combination ever (also i like his voice idfk lmao)

tumblr is a unique hellscape and twitter is its own unique hellscape and I sometimes wonder if there’s some things I’d be less tilted about if I encountered it on tumblr first and not on twitter, which has its own set of specific contexts and set of wank, like... every single new event I see, I see on twitter first, followed almost immediately by some set of wank or other, and it just sours the whole thing for me lmao

and like... there’s a lot more clout-chasing on twitter, bc the visible follower numbers plays more into that and also the way the platform is constructed. and also honestly sometimes the timing of these new things popping up is suspicious lmao. like there sort of JUST was wank about the “mdzs big bang.”

honestly, I’m tilted about ‘chinese fandoms’ being just lumped together all like that. like yes on one hand, I get why there would be some value in doing that, esp for smaller fandoms ig. But on the other hand, it seems INCREDIBLY clumsy to me to do so, like the range of possibilities I think is wider than the originating mod probably is really thinking of or anticipating, tho it’d be interesting to see who actually participates and if they do.

I also think it’s. very odd they’re calling it a big bang, and like I’ll be honest since I saw them first on twitter, in the context of all of the other bang wank, and in conjunction with some ppl who I think were involved with the wank, it did lowkey set the impression that they’re calling it a big bang for clout and not because it’s an actual big bang. Like, “fests” don’t have the same clout as “big bang” as far as fandom events go lmfao 8). Plus their CC answer justification... pained me a lot lol, it’s gave me the feel of when ppl pull out odd food configurations and go “is this a sandwich, discuss.” But like I’m also tilted over the whole “””chinese fandom””” thing too, which I recognize and acknowledge.

Plus. Plus lmao they don’t even have Chinese-language support as far as modding goes. Someone was like “oh is this a chinese fandom big bang as in chinese (language) fandom big bang?” and the answer is... no. They’re operating in English, with mods apparently for Spanish and Korean. Like once again, I feel the “China: Through the Looking Glass” situation, where they’re applying a clumsy broad pan-”Chinese media” stroke to it.

I think it’s similar to the kpop question? bc “kpop” means something very specific, but Korea has other types of popular music other than the one we know now as “kpop.” Except... I don’t think “cmedia” is as crystalized a term as “kpop” is, so it’s....... irksome to see it utilized as if it were. I think their justification of “we don’t have a set theme like a fest would” is... odd and quite annoying? Because your theme is in the name. You decided your theme was “chinese fandom” i.e. cmedias, potentially of ALL types. tho looking at the tags they qrted on twt, it’s a smattering of danmei and live dramas, mostly recently popular ones. And not a literal wide array of any and every single possible China-originated media.

I mean, I sort of feel like I’d maybe feel slightly more comforted if this were an ownvoice thing, even though I don’t agree with the designations they come up with, but I think even then I’d still be tilted about “”””chinese fandoms”””” rounded up like that.

I’ve told all the significant ones that occurred in this house except 1 other (but I felt that it could be brushed off as something else so it's eh), but I can tell some from my childhood home/neighborhood!

Okay so the last story in this home took place few years ago at around 11pm or so me and my parents just finished watching a movie and my parents had gotten up and went into another room. I was just chilling on my phone with the dogs when suddenly I heard this horribly loud sound of metal scratching from outside. It sounded very much like our shed door opening, the doors on the shed opened by rolling them to one side, kinda poor design but like eh n they were all rusted so you had to put some strength into it and it made a lot of noise. I told my parents and like white people in a horror movie we all went outside to see who was getting into the shed, but when we got out there it was empty, no one to be seen, the doors didn't even look like they had been touched. It could've honestly been someone trespassing on our property, but it's still very unusual considering we live ou in the middle of nowhere. 

That shed has always creeped me the fuck out though, I can’t stand in there without feeling like I’m being watched by something. The shed it split into since one half used to be a chicken coop (old owners had chickens) and the side that used to be for the chickens just...feels the worse to me, I can’t stand in there long without feeling very anxious and when I'm on the other side it feels like someone or something is over there watching me. 

Then to my childhood home back in lansing, it wasn’t a very old house just built in the 1900s sometime and was owned by my great-grandma and we moved in after she passed away n I wasn’t born yet. Usually, only little things would happen here like the sound of footsteps down the hall or on the basement steps or the kitchen sink would turn itself on at night. 

My most memorable occurrence was when I woke up late at night(prob around 1-3am area) to the sound of something falling in the basement. At first I brushed it off as my grandmas cat knocking a box over then I heard it again so I got out of bed and went to investigate. I went down to the basement and boxes literally were just..falling randomly around the basement. Theres no way the cat was bouncing across the room within seconds to knock a box over so?? I ran upstairs so dang fast and hid under my sheets.

This one took place a few years before we moved so I was about 11ish, I’m pretty sure I was staying up late on my gameboy or ds when I wasn’t supposed to but when I decided to finally go to sleep and dozed off a bit I suddenly woke up to the feeling of being watched. Up at the top corner of me and my sister's bedroom window there was something like look like a person's head with glowing eyes just...looking into the room at me. I just stared at it until I had to blink and when I did it was gone, I literally didn’t sleep until the sun came up. I don’t know if it was like a hallucination or sleep paralysis but it scared me enough that I started being afraid to sleep at night and would stay up until the sun came up until school started back up and I had no choice but to sleep earlier. 

Most of the super werid paranormal esq stuff didn’t happen in my childhood home, but my best friends home right next door. In his house they just had an empty room, no one used it, literally the only thing inside it was a bed frame sitting on its side and like 2 small storage boxes. Every once and awhile his dog would just stand outside the room and growl and bark then run away nervously, she didn the same thing in other parts of the room like in the living room corner or at the TV well it was off. 

We were super into ghost hunting shows like all thru 7-10ish so one time we decided to have a paranormal investigation in that room where we just sat in there in the dark with his dog and asked the ghost questions. Of course, we got no response but after a few questions, his dog started to get really riled up and upset which started to freak us out so we went to leave, but the door just wouldn’t open. We were banging on that door so hard until it finally decided to open and never went in the room again. Every so often the door would just open itself well we were playing in his room which was the next room over.

His bedroom was kinda equally as unsettling though, we were playing hide and seek with me, him, and my sister. I think I was looking when suddenly I heard yelling from his bedroom. He was hiding in the closet when he felt something grab him and when he tried to leave the closet the door wouldn't open. I opened the door easily from my side which made him think I was holding the door open, but when it happened I was way down the hall in the living room, but he still doesn’t believe me to this day lmao.

One of the days I was sleeping over at his house n we were both home alone since he dad left to the store. When he dad left things started getting really weird, his dog was just freaking out over was seemed like nothing just barking and growling then hiding nervously, then the Tv turned itself on and was just static and we tried everything to get it to stop even tried turning it off, but nothing worked on it. Then that stupid door down the hall opened up all the way, I think at that point we just ran outside and sat on the porch until his dad came home. When his dad got home and we went back in everything was normal, the tv was off and the door was closed.

Lastly, this isn’t really a ghost story, but its still creepy as fuck. When I was 12 the other parents on the street just decided it was okay for me to watch their kids, like they were my friends but uh trusting a 12 yr old to take your kids to the park n the rite aid down the road was a bad decision. Since I was the oldest and in charge me I’d take my friends to the park, but instead of going to the park we started exploring the area further back. This park was actually just the elementary school playground but it had a big field in the bad and at the end of the field there was a fence, behind the fence was a hill n up it was a road, but if you just walked around the fence you’d end up behind the property of the building besides the school which had lovely signs saying “trespassers will be shot on sight” and if you kept walking you’d reach train tracks. So I’d take my friends to the train tracks and we’d walk down them until we reached these old train boxcars that were just sitting abandoned besides the track, this area had tons of small sinkholes so it def wasn’t safe(besides being by active train tracks), but we’d open the trains up and play inside them. On one side of the tracks though there was a forest and a fence around it.

 Me and my friends were gonna make a clubhouse in one of the trains, but one of the final trips we made to the tracks there were people on the other side of the fence in the forest looking at us, they were further back so they weren’t noticeable at first. I don’t know why they were there, how they even got there, or why they were looking at us, but we booked it back to the park when we saw em. After that we only visited a few more times, but we didn’t stay for long because the area just felt unsettling and after seeing those people we were worried we were being watched constantly.

I very much appreciate that Lance deadass just had a whole group of like 20 people within earshot of him. Say about him what you want, but the man’s prepared.

Okay: serious question, how is Blyke going to heal himself from this fight because he got pretty banged up especially on his face and if he doesn’t heal, people are going to notice. So he’s got to get healed probably. Doc Darren? Elaine? Or who knows, he could just play it off as fighting fake Jokers or the real Joker. Isen would definitely notice though… 

Okay so I think this one is going to be shorter than normal because this episode is mostly fight scene and I can’t really talk a lot about that except for repeating how cool it was so-

Blyke:

    I cannot stress enough how cool the red flame glitchy aura that came up around Blyke was right before he went off in the fight. It not only looked hella cool, but I liked that symbolism for him. Blyke’s ability is obviously energy beam, so it’s probably not meant to look like an actual flame, maybe more like this smoke stuff. Yeah, that sounds right I think. Anyway: that was fucking cool. It was such a blatant show of power and aura. Took my breath away, really. I can’t remember anything looking like this coming from any other character except maybe Joker. Probably Seraphina too, earlier on in the comic (I’m thinking turf wars?). Anyway, it was unique and different and appreciated. But the fact that we’re seeing this from Blyke is amazing because I can’t even imagine something like this from him earlier in the comic. He just was never on this level. But the fact that seeing this powerful smoke coming from Blyke didn’t confuse me or contradict what I thought about Blyke shows that it was obvious that he would be getting stronger. His passion really has multiplied and I think that was what really brought out something like this, this ability upgrade for Blyke. Because, correct me if I’m wrong, but I can’t really remember seeing anything like this from Arlo. Maybe once or something if he was fighting Joker, but I can’t think of anything. Arlo is stronger than Blyke is currently, there is no doubt in my mind that that has changed, but Arlo didn’t really grow his power as Blyke is doing now, he just got better as he got more experience, which he obviously got from cleaning up after Rei. Blyke’s passion is allowing him to grow stronger faster and in a much more dramatic way, hence the smoke. His progress is less predictable and linear and seems to be happening more in bursts, when Blyke is feeling a lot of passion or emotion. That is very fun to read because it’s a different perspective of growth than what I feel we’ve normally been seeing. But that’s a lot to say from deadass just the smoke coming off him lmao. I’m just excited lol.

    Blyke basically just exploded and that’s fucking awesome. I’m here for it. He has my complete attention. I’m hooked. This development. I’ve talked about its nature, but not it itself. Blyke sent a circle beam of energy out of him and around him, in a way that reminded me of the blades of wind attack seen by other characters in this comic, but a more effective version. I think we might have seen this once before from Blyke, though I can’t remember when, I just have this feeling. But then right after, we see him successfully pull off the individual finger lasers that Joker used on him. That was big. It really represented Blyke’s growth more than anything in this episode because he obviously couldn’t do it before. 

    That last short paragraph was so short and choppy and I feel like it’s so incomplete that it’s literally painful to read, but I already said I don’t know how to talk about fight scenes so y’all aren’t allowed to be surprised.

Anyway: out of nowhere predictions/thoughts that I don’t want to type out (my thoughts don’t think I’m claiming that these are facts lol)
