Kami Tanaka (aka Maka's mom)

She's going to be popping up in Ch 11 of Where Do All the Good Kids Go. All the Kami v Spirit talks got me wanting to bust her out early, so I'm going to headcanon dump under the cut.

She was the top of her class, but not popular. She could partner with anyone in theory, but like Excalibur very few people are compatible with her personality.

Rather than adapting to match her partner's wavelength, she forces them to match her.

She got a lot of praise from Lord Death for being the most efficient at collecting Kishen Eggs and it 100% went to her head. She genuinely believes she is the best meister (or at least she did in the 90s).

She uses her Soul Perception casually in the halls, just to flex that she can.

Her nickname in school was: The Partner Poacher.

She had two weapons she made into Death Scythes before Spirit. They immediately ghosted her as soon as they graduated.

Her parents are insanely strict. They read her diary and often got into fights with the teachers that she deserved an extra 1% on the last exam. It's amazing Kami hasn't cracked by high school.

In a perfect world, she would have been an average tsundere.

If it wasn't for Maka, she would have dumped Spirit in highschool.
