Like just imagine that Muichiro and the reader are childhood best friends then they fell in love and the reader asked Muichiro twin if it’s okay to one day marry Muichiro he said yes before the Damon attacked them they had a mini wedding 😭

Fast forward after the attack

They agreed to keep their marriage secret until one day the reader’s village is attack and she is the only survivor of the massacre. Muichiro and her kept in touch (so she knows that Muichiro is a hashira and his memory problem but he still’s remembers reader as his wife) so she shows up during a hashira meeting ( talking about the massacred village and Muichiro knows that’s the village that his wife was living in and is worried that she might have gotten killed because Ubuyashiki said there were no survivors in the village) bloody and exhausted from traveling. So when reader shows up she passes out and informs Shinobu about the lady that passed out Shinobu asked to show them what she looks like but when they show her what they look like they saw reader and then Muichiro said “that’s my wife” and everyone is just shocked

You would always drag yuichiro along to play with the both of you, muichiro always had to touch you somehow, be it holding your hand, tugging through hem of your shirt, or even hugging you.

You didn't mind how close he was. You actually enjoyed his physical contacts and how clingy he was to you. Yuichiro found himself wanting to tease the both of you for all the physical contacts and how close the both of you always were to each other. Ever since the parents of the trio of you died, you've lived together with muichiro and yuichiro since then. Yuichiro has changed while muichiro tried to remain positive towards him. When lady amane came to see the twins, you overheard them saying something about slaying demons, the same kind that killed the parents of the trio of you. And that both the twins were from a family that were from the sengoku era.

They accepted the offer as they had nothing left to do at all. You watched as muichiro and yuichiro trained all day, not once even resting. They would sometimes skip meals just to train. You always had to force them to eat because of that.

The both of them eventually became a hashira. You were happy for them, and they would often visit the village you live in to give you gifts or small trinkets. You were actually surprised when muichiro bought you to a place under the trees and watched the moon from below. You were fascinated by the sight of how big the moon is.

Until muichiro said to you " the moon is beautiful...isn't it ? " then were you shocked. You knew that both you and muichiro knew the meaning behind it. So you didn't really expect him to say it to you. Muichiro then averted his gaze away from yours as his cheeks blushed a bright red.

For those of you who don't know, the phrase " the moon is beautiful, isn't it ? " is actually a way of saying I like you or I love you in Japanese. 💙

The both you of fell more in love with each other and started dating soon after. Muichiro would always bring yuichiro along to give you small trinkets or ornaments as a little gift. You would always give him a kiss on the cheek after. Soon, yuichiro bought up the idea of marriage as he knew that the duo ( you and muichiro ) would never cheat on each other.

Both you and muichiro held a small wedding as to respect yuichiro's wishes and only invited yuichiro. After the wedding, the trio of you promised to keep the wedding a secret. Not wanting to reveal that you and muichiro are married together.

Fast forward.

The village you were living in was attacked by a horde of demons. You managed to escape as your senses had told you to, you were injured but managed to make it near the ubuyashiki mansion.

The village you lived in was close to the ubuyashiki mansion okay 😭

Muichiro wad devasted as he heard about the news of the befall of the village you lived in and that there were no survivors. Yuichiro tried to calm his brother down but his own tears even started to flow out of his eyes.

Ubuyashiki could only look at the two children there crying helplessly as he sighed because he knew he couldn't do anything to bring the dead back alive. It was then when someone found your unconscious body outside of the mansion and had informed shinobu of it.

Shinobu told her to take the body inside and after they did, muichiro gasped as he stated to everyone " that's my wife. " Everyone was in shock that muichiro was married and that you were alive. Yuichiro face palmed and whispered to him that he was told to keep it a secret.

Muichiro gasped as he forgot about it. But what's done cannot be undone. You were treated immediately at the butterfly mansion and when you woke up, you noticed muichiro and yuichiro looking down at you worriedly. Muichiro then kissed you as he couldn't bear it any longer. You knew that you had made them worried about you and how worried muichiro was at the intense of his kiss.

You could only kiss back and pat his head. Signalling that you are alright and is in good hands.

Ello! How do you think the girls will react and take care of their respective others when they are down sick and vice versa. Its always cute when one of the mcs is sick and the other is worried and takes care of them

Aww. This is a really cute idea. And they have such different dynamics that there's a lot to look at here.

Here are my headcanons!

First and foremost, all of the guys hire private caretakers. They could handle things like making sure their partner is taking their meds and staying hydrated (Kai being the most capable). At the same time, they would need help with cooking, childcare, etc.

Will is a huuuuge baby when he's sick. The kind that sneezes and cries, "babe, I'm dying!" It's a joke... mostly. He does exaggerate his symptoms, but he genuinely feels awful. Fortunately, Emmy is used to the role of caretaker because of her grandma. Remembering meds, fluids, and preparing healthy meals are all things in her wheelhouse. She's probably fine with the more disgusting parts of being sick, and can power through them without complaint. Doesn't mean she rolls over for him. "Babe, I need my pillows fluffed," would be met with a flat expression and a middle finger as she left the room. However, she's attentive to his (actual) needs.

When Emmy gets sick, the house doesn't fall apart, but Will thinks it's going to. He doubts his abilities too much, but he's not that bad and keeping things going. He's likely to have a nurse come in to check on her, making sure she's not getting worse, and explain each of the medications to him. I think sometimes, he could be over attentive, and go over board in trying to cover all his bases. As for their three children, he's go that handled. Their kids that understand that Mom needs rest, and that Dad is fun to play with. II is also a big help, making sure his mom has everything she needs from water to tissues to extra blankets. He would absolutely fluff her pillows.

Their sick days are filled with watching bad reality TV and eating soup when the other isn't resting.

Damon would refuse to accept he's sick until he's literally bedridden. The entire time, Winter would know he's getting sick. "You're voice sounds different. Are you sure you're not getting congested?" Does Damon listen? No. He's fine. Until he wakes up one morning with a fever and can't move without being pain.

Winter would need help. She can't handle the kids and Damon, and keep track of everything in the house., but they have the nanny and that helps with the kids. I still think she hires a nurse, but that also has it's own issues. Damon hates any other woman coming into his lair room, touching him, touching his things. He also doesn't want some random man doing it either. He's mean and snappy and grumpy, and Winter would worry about the caretaker's safety if it wasn't for the fact that he couldn't lift himself from the bed.

Which is kind of a funny image in her head, not that she'd let him catch her laughing.

When Winter gets sick, she's low maintenance... or tries to be. Damon forces a team of very confused nurses and doctors to attend to her needs. Winter eventually gets him to let them leave, letting him know she trusts him to be enough.

They don't really leave their room, and fully attend to each other needs with all of their attention. When Damon is sick, all he really wants is to hold Winter. Or be held. Or have her close. He wants comfort and Winter is happy to be that. And there is some comfort in knowing Damon would force some poor doctor to bring her back from the dead, possibly including an actual Satanic ritual if it comes to that. But this is just a cold, and she's fine.

Kai rarely gets sick. He keeps such a healthy routine and pays attention to his immune system. If something feels even slightly off, he addresses it quickly. But every once in a while, even he gets taken down. I see Kai not wanting anyone to attend to him, and Banks is patient with him as he tries to pretend he doesn't need help. Still, she knows his favorite tea and what he likes to eat when he's feeling under the weather. Each time Kai is struggling get out of the bed, and Banks appears with soup and meds telling him (demanding, really) to lay back down and rest, he's so incredibly humbled. And grateful.

Banks, like her brother, doesn't find it easy to admit that she's getting sick. She doesn't want to be taken care of. But Kai, more than the others, knows what to do. He's confident in his ability to manage the house, kids, business, and Banks being down. He's good at delegating his other duties to prioritize her, and if he calls in any help, it's a doctor that makes house calls so she doesn't have to leave the house, and a house keeper to help with laundry and things.

They both try to push their limits when sick and the other has to check them. They'll spend their time making sure the sick person is actually resting.

Michael is pretty simple when he's sick. He tries to fight it off, but when he's sick, he goes to the doctor, gets his meds, and follows directions. He doesn't whine too much, but he's extremely grumpy. Rika finds it funny, and laughs as she helps, poking fun of him in his helpless state a little bit, since he can't really do anything. As gross as colds are, it's still much better that helping her mom from the bathroom floor to the bed after a particularly bad night. She'd take sick Michael over that any day.

Rika hates getting sick, but she can usually feel it coming. She tries to be low maintenance but in actuality she loves be doted on by Michael. Loves it when he takes care of her himself, but even seeing the way he watches over the doctor is sweet to her. She can sense how important it is to him that she get the best care. However, she knows she doesn't need all that fuss and takes care of herself pretty well, despite Michael's protest.

Overall, they're both high maintenance but pretend not to be.

Not confident in the accuracy, but I think these are cute little scenarios for them. Let me know what you think or what your headcanons are!

elena did not like being forced to do anything. even if the anything in question was taking out an old one who had plagued her past and killed her high school classmates. alright, perhaps she would have accepted such a mission either way but the guardians hadn't known that and had they killed damon she wasn't sure if she would have cared. they'd known her well enough over the years to realize elena had a mind of her own. oh they'd attempted to make her a blank slate once, a doll in their own image and how well that had worked for them? a week. a week it had taken her to regain her full memories, elena's will, her stubbornness, her capacity to love her friends had overcome any form of control the angelic beings sought to have upon her. she could have refused and faced the consequences of such. let the world burn, let klaus play his games with humans if it had meant she could save stefan or damon. nevermind the fact he'd certainly come for her next anyway.

god, had she wanted to use her advantage to try to get stefan back. what did it make her that she hadn't saved her husband? would they have listened or completely stripped her of her wings of power?

but damon's life had been in the balance and no matter how selfish she wanted to be or how much she wanted to kill damon herself sometimes, no matter how much she wanted stefan back, she couldn't let them kill damon for helping her wreak vengeance upon the man who had killed the love of her life-- his brother. the fact the celestial court couldn't see that henrik was still a vampire even if not in the traditional sense was an outrage. but stefan would never have forgiven her had she saved him at his brother's expense. oh he would have tired but.. he would have been consumed with guilt, with resentment, with a lack of peace that would be no real way to live.

had it been anyone else, she's sure she would have. perhaps that made her a monster too. that elena would have allowed an innocent to burn to save him. but it had not been how things had played out and elena had to deal with the ramifications of it. perhaps one day, in peace she'd find stefan again. perhaps one day she'd find a way to bring him back to her. though she knows, what that road could lead to. she's seen it play out, or at least heard about it from the boys who's bunker she's in right now.

and what a bunker it was. such archives could have come in handy in those days old ones were on the hunting agenda. funny how things came full circle. except this time it wasn't celine, it was klaus who had been risen. the final old one. the only one who hadn't been killed with her blood. she hears sam when he gets back, dean having let her in and gone off to do, whatever it was that dean did when he wasn't hunting. she rather not give it too much thought. The Series is highly Artistic, written & directed by visionary & Oscar-winning screenplay writer Steven Zaillian, words are not enough to describe the creativity of the Direction and the Cinematography, every frame in black & white is like a portrait into the mind of the creator, what a beautiful vision to create such an artistic slow burn, dark noir Psychological Thriller with so much details to each and every scene. The acting of Andrew Scott in the lead character of Ripley along with the supporting actors is highly immersive, this series is going to win many awards at Emmy as well as Golden Globes in the Limited series category. The series is an adaptation of 1955’s classic crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith. It has already been adopted in a highly celebrated 1999 Noir movie starring Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow & Cate Blanchett, it was also loosely adopted in the recent dark thriller movie Saltburn by Emerald Fennel starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi & Rosamund Pike, this adaptation has surpassed the previous ones, it is one of the best shows I watched in recent years.

The story starts in 1961 New York, Tom Ripley, a highly skilled con man is going through a rough phase, living in downright poverty, looking over his shoulder for any trouble, he was being chased by the lawmen. An opportunity was presented towards him, he is recruited by a wealthy person to find his Prodigal son Dickie who is living in Italy in leisure, Ripley is to convince him to return to New York so that he can start looking after the family business, in utter desperation Ripley accepts the job. However, when he sees the lavish lifestyle of Dickie & his girlfriend Marge in Europe, his dark desires lead him on a path up to a point of no return, full of deception, theft & murder, the story is so shocking, it brings out the deepest scary chills. Dickie is running from his family heirloom, seeking the life of an Artist in serene Atrani city, Italy. He is a simple-minded person who is easy to manipulate, Ripley finds it very easy to play his deceptive tricks on Dickie. Marge on the other hand is a smart woman, she is an aspiring writer, trying to complete her book, a travelogue about Atrani. Ripley manipulated Dickie to allow him to live in his house, and thus Ripley started to weave his stronghold around him, creating confusion using deception at every step. Marge became suspicious of Ripley’s motive and asks Dickie to get rid of Ripley but what happens next what beyond anything one can imagine, beating all odds Ripley successfully deceived everyone into believing in a very thin false narrative with meticulous planning and trickery, he keeps telling everyone he is a good person and one by one everyone fell into his bottomless pit of deception.

Now let’s unravel more about the pros & cons of the Series Ripley

The strongest positive aspect of the series is the Screenplay. Slow burn screenplay written by Steven Zaillian feels like a sting, in the initial episodes we are completely blown away by the enigmatic character of Ripley, and his treacherous predatory nature, and later on, once the story hits the midpoints it starts unraveling like a deeply thrilling noir, we became trapped into the captivating story, now we can’t escape until we know the ending, will Ripley be able to evade capture or he will be punished for his heinous crimes. Steven Zaillian won his Oscar for Schindler’s List & his other prominent works are films like Gangs of New York & Irishman, & his creative screenplay in Ripley is one of his epitomai works as a screenplay writer.

Next comes the acting. Andrew Scotts’ act as Ripley was truly immersive, we can’t peek into Ripley’s mind about his plans & tricks, his face & eyes are always calm, capable of deceiving anyone. He always wears a veil, no one is capable of seeing his dark soul. We can truly know him when he is alone, meticulously weaving a cobweb of lies and deception. Ripley is mesmerizing when he has to instantaneously adapt to a difficult situation, he is highly spontaneous & Andrew pulled off that particularity amazingly. Andrew is a wonderful actor, he was awesome as James Moriarity in the Sherlock series and recently I watched his soul-touching performance in queer romantic movie All of Us Strangers.

Further, the supporting cast is wonderful too. Johnny Flynn in the character of Richard ‘Dickie’ Greenleaf was suitable as the Elite, he is kindhearted, trying to figure out his life as a painter, he is careless enough to let the wolf enter his doors, he didn’t have any clue what is going to happen to him. Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood is beautiful and graceful, she is smart, and has doubts about Ripley from the start but even with her sixth sense, she is not able to perceive what Ripley is capable of. The impressive character of Inspector Ravini was played by Italian actor Sergio Rubini, he has a powerful screen presence as a smart & intelligent detective, but Ripley was one step ahead of him always.

Now comes the direction, Steven Zaillian’s creative direction blew me away, what an impressive display of the details of every scene, moving slowly to let us feel more & more, we can feel our consciousness translocated into 1960s Italy. His directorial style in monochromatic black & white was really transcendental. With retro-style costumes, vintage model Fiat cars, locations, & proper Italian accents, I was not watching this show, I was really living it.

Finally, the cinematography needs special mention, it was one of the best camera works we can witness on Television, we were made to travel through the artistic & serene posh as well as countryside Italy, not in the present times but in the early ’60s. Every scene, every silhouette, every painting, every mural & every sculpture was meticulously depicted to take us into the past through the time machine of Artistic Cinema.

Talking about the cons, the series runs very slow, especially in the starting episodes, it is a very intense type of slow-burn thriller, made for artistic enrichment rather than mass-level relish, still, I am sure the captivating story with the enigmatic character of Ripley in the crime-noir setting of a cat & mouse chase finale is worth celebrating by every true lover of Cinema.'

The Boarding House was still, yet not just quiet but completely soundless. On afternoons like today she would have been with Stefan enjoying a nice day together. Instead, Elena was tasked to do research with Damon because apparently she was in martyrdom mode and since Damon already stopped her once…

The whole situation gave her a terrible head ache. She wished, and sometimes pleaded to an unknown god, she could go back to her old life. Even though being with Stefan was nice, there were days she would trade it all for cheerleading practice, normal Bonnie and Caroline, being able to just play video games with Jeremy and she could talk to her par…

Elena interrupted her train of thought yet again. If she went down that track again she would give up again and this time no amount of pep talk might bring her out of it. She just couldn't do that to herself, not when she promised Stefan she would renew her efforts of trying to do so. She could not give up hope (despite how hopeless it might be).

So engrossed in her internal struggle, Elena forgot… or well, disregarded all common courtesy of knocking and just entered his room without notice.

"Elena! Dear Lord… would it bother you to knock?" Damon scolded as he vainly tried to wrap a towel around his waist.

But it had been too late and all in vain because when Elena had immediately looked straight ahead in Damon's direction when she entered the room. This, unfortunately, meant she had just seen everything Damon Salvatore had to offer. Everything. Not just limited to the PG-13 or NC-17 sense either. And no matter how hard she could and would try, she highly doubted she could ever unseen "everything".

Finally able to bring her gaping mouth closed, Elena stammered, "I'm so sorry Damon… I wasn't… ah, thinking."

Was that the best explanation she could give? It sounded more like she was trying to come up with an excuse.

"It's quite alright Elena. Well, not really but to save from further embarrassment I'm just going to go into my bathroom and change, alright?" Damon suggested with his pointed thumb as he gathered his pants before making his way to the second door. All Elena could do was nod.

Elena began to leave with the mind set it would be best to go down stairs and get a start on the research while waiting for Damon when probably the asinine idea popped up. Usually, Elena dismissed something like this but with all that had happened lately who would blame her if she decided to?

Damon eventually exited the bathroom whilst drying his hair, conveniently ignoring Elena's presence. Although, Damon did became aware of her when she waved her hand in front of him.

"Um, Elena… what are you… Did you owe me for something?" he asked with evident confusion.

"Well, I saw something I've never seen before," Elena tried to explain as she held up the dollar bill.

Confused, Damon gaped at her for a moment before accepting the money with recognition. "Elena Gilbert, really?" he asked with a delightfully surprised smile.

She would probably never cease to amaze him but for once, he was taken completely off guard. It warmed his heart strangely that she would remember one of his throw away lines he used on her and Stefan, and try to make light of the current dark situation they seemed to perpetuity be in. Elena could only smile back before heading to the door, "I'll be in the study, okay?"

"You do realize now," Damon began as he pulled on his shirt.

"This means war?" Elena tried to finish for him.

"No… I'll have to pay you back now," he added with his signature 'eye thing' as he tucked the dollar into his denim pocket.

Yet, instead of Elena's usual response of disapproval and smacks, she laughed with genuine humor- the type that reached your eyes and Damon just jumped right in and joined her. For once, it was just the two of them laughing at each other's snarky comments. Elena hadn't heard his laugh for so long and the light hearted one she was hearing now she possible had never heard before.

Elena just shook her head of thought, only to have it consumed with reality once again. She moved back to the door frame muttering, "You probably know what I look like already," before she left.

However, Damon was quicker than her and grasped her wrist to keep her in the room; "We were having a fun moment but you just had to ruin it."

"Excuse me?" Elena questioned in regard to his tone.

"Stefan doesn't seem like the most positive role model if your thoughts turn so quickly to brooding and gloom," he stated, the dark expression from the last month returning to his face again.

"I don't understand…" Elena tried but Damon cut her off, "You know exactly what I mean. God Elena, are you forever going to compare yourself to her?"

Elena ripped her arm from his grasp, "Well, I do in fact share her face, it's only logical we probably share the same body… features," Elena tried to finish without a grimace or bile rising to her mouth. Bodily features that ensnared both Salvatore brothers….

Damon could only sigh, "How many… Elena, you are nothing like her. Sometimes I even forget…" but he stopped himself before correcting, "Elena, I could give you probably a hundred differences between you and… Katherine. Particularly in body plan… which I would have to guess at because I've never had the pleasure of seeing you, Ms. Elena Gilbert, in the…"

"Damon!" Elena was quick to scold him, which only results in him smirking before resuming, "But I am serious."

"Oh, how so?" Elena folded her arms across her chest; she was always one to defy him.

"Well, Katherine had a child so there's a major difference right there," he began.

"Oh, so she's more curvy and womanly than me, thanks Damon," Elena scoffed.

"That's not what I meant. Yes, she had curves and certain… assets that were attractive during that certain time period. Yet she also had an extremely hourglass waist, which was probably due to corsets that I never saw her without."

When that didn't ease the look on Elena's face, Damon decided to change tactics. "She's curvy, I'll give her that. She probably has stretch marks I've never seen… and how sexy are those?"

This earned him a light laugh from Elena but he knew he wasn't clear quite yet. "And you Elena, even covered head to toe in clothes, are a different entity all together. You're probably lean and fit with just the perfect combination of womanly charm. You certainly present grace wherever you are."

"Damon," she began again to interrupt him but he wouldn't have it.

"You forget I saw you in the beautiful blue dress at the Founder's Ball and you were quite lovely as you descended the stairs. A blind man could see you and your beauty with such… honest truth Katherine could never master with all her fem fatal."

"Damon," Elena's voice came out slightly like a whine but more of a whisper when Damon finished his statement.

"But, of course, I don't know any of this for certain unless you want to show me," Damon remarked quickly, displacing the intimate atmosphere with his sexual tone.

"Damon," she rolled her eyes; that one had definitely earned him a smack on the arm, but Elena still smiled.

"Oh, come on. I show you mine, but you won't show me yours? Elena Gilbert… hardly fair," Damon commented with his façade of hurt. Oh yes, her Damon was  almost back - with sexual innuendoes and all, and she couldn't be happier.

Elena turned to leave again but before Elena could reach the door frame, Damon pulled her back to embrace her in a hug.

"I know this sounds horrible cliché but I would not be the man I am today without you, Elena. So, thank you… for being there when I needed it," he finished as he gave her a friendly pat on the back, "That's one thing Katherine could never do."

"Well, you've been there for me and to save my life so… thank you," she replied with a reassuring pat for him, "Its… it's just nice to have my best friend back," she finds herself able to finish.

Damon just shook his head while he rests his forehead on her shoulder for a moment, "You never truly lost me but thanks for bringing me back anyways."

All Elena could reply back with was a 'no problem.'

The two stayed like that for a while, long enough to grasp the moment before Elena could feel awkward and disloyal. They pulled back with a mutual short laugh before Damon turned to his armoire to fix his shirt, "Now, I'll be right behind you. We still have research to do downstairs."

Elena faked an overdramatic look of dread, "Oh great, more homework," Elena joked.

"Yes… that could save your life," Damon replied in a snide tone.

Elena left the room with a strange smile on her face as she closed the door behind her. No, she wouldn't trade her life now for anything.

But - wait a minute… How could Damon, being a vampire, neglect hearing her walk up the stairs, let alone not hear her come into his room? She could only wonder as she headed down stairs.

I'm assuming you wanted this to be a headcanon. If not, I'm so sorry!

Being the object of affection for the Mikaelson brothers was a tricky situation

It often left you playing monkey in the middle as you were pulled between the Mikaelsons and your friends

The three brothers were absolutely smitten with you— their eyes never leaving you whenever you are in the room

The Scooby Doo gang noticed their attraction to you way before you did and used it to their advantage

They often used you as bait— knowing how possessive the Mikaelson men were over you— to get the brothers to do what they wanted

Whenever they got the phone call saying you were being held hostage at some undisclosed location, the Mikaelsons dropped everything they were doing to go save you— sending a string of threats towards the gang for putting you in danger

They would always justify their actions by saying they knew the Mikaelsons would never let any harm come towards you

This put a strain on your relationship with your childhood friends as you did not appreciate being used, but you couldn't deny that you would actively participate in some of the schemes when you felt it was beneficial

However, when your friends would go too far (all in the name of saving Elena), the brothers were always there to comfort you

They would wipe the tears from your eyes and hold you tightly in their arms

And you couldn't deny the attraction you felt towards them— no matter how wrong Caroline reminded you it was

You loved the way you felt when you were around them. While the gang made you feel second best to Elena, Kol, Klaus, and Elijah made you feel unrivaled— like you were the most exquisite being in the universe

They basically worshipped you— obsessed with the very essence of you. Everything you did was a work of art and they made sure that you knew it

They showered you with compliments, praising you for the simplest of things. They treated you with the finest things and made sure you never had to lift a finger when with them

They HATED when you made up with the gang. It meant they had to go back to sharing you and they despised it— barely able to share you amongst themselves

Whenever Elena, Caroline, or Damon came over to apologize to you, they would prevent you from seeing them for as long as possible, "accepting" the apology on your behalf

However, despite all their best efforts, they couldn't keep you away from your friends forever, and sooner or later, you were splitting your time between them and the Scooby Doo gang once again

This didn't mean they stopped trying to monopolize your time though

They would take turns spending the night with you and making sure you were safe, sometimes they even managed to convince you to spend the night at the manor with them

They watched over you always, escorting you where ever you needed to go which made it awkward when trying to hang out with the gang

There was always a face-off when dropping you off and picking you up which you had to deescalate, assuring both sides that you were safe with either party

If you were honest with yourself though, you wouldn't change a thing. Despite the challenges that came with the Mikaelson's affections, you loved having them wrapped around your finger

hey, i found out your tumblr because i saw your damon & emory's relationship dynamic's ask and answered tag by you & anon > "asked and answered 54" and omg it was such a great meta! I see that you've changed your opinions about dn characters here and there quite a bit, and i'd just like to know if you still agree with your "asked and answered 54"? Or has it changed?

I also think your question about whether or not damon and emory reflects each other is pretty interesting, because while i agree that they are so similar yet so different from one another, i do know that a lot of readers still hate emory for things that damon had done way way way worse, just because she wasn't being accommodating to will. The readers' treatment of her and damon are very jarring, to say the least.

I'm personally not a fan of damon, and I dont think much about damon even after his cameos every where in the series, but since that ask and answered had involved emory, it does make me think about their history, unique dynamics and sincere friendship. Something about what you said in your closing paragraph just intrigues me, because it's true, and i never really thought of it in this angle before anon and you discuss it: Emory expected more from them, and that included Damon. But no one expected anything good from Damon, and he played into that. Sort of like “you think I’m bad, but I can be so much worse” almost? And here Emory comes, not accepting it, not playing into it. It leaves him with nothing to hide behind, and forces him to reveal a little of himself.

My opinions do change occasionally, but usually it’s a slight shift more than a major jump. I like to keep my mind open to other people’s interpretations, and not insist that mine is the only correct view. That can mean sometimes adjusting my view to accommodate another. However, I have wondered if I read through all of my ask replies, how much I would agree with now. I know I could probably word things better, at least.

One thing I should probably note is that I don’t like most of the characters, unless we’re talking about that character and Emory, that is. I’ve mentioned in other places that Damon’s story alone doesn’t do much for me. But pair his story up with Emory’s, and look at their possible friendship dynamics, and it’s a different ballgame.

I think for the most part, I still agree with what I said in 54, except for maybe the reflection bit. I believe there was another A&A that spoke about that, and I might have adjusted then, but I can’t remember. What I know is that for now, I’ve the idea that they were meant to be each other’s reflection on the back burner. I'm not sure that I have the skills to fully analyze what that would mean, or if there's even enough there to look at. But if someone wants to offer some thoughts on that, I’m open.

 i do know that a lot of readers still hate emory for things that damon had done way way way worse, just because she wasn't being accommodating to will. The readers' treatment of her and damon are very jarring, to say the least.

I know! Isn’t it so weird? But this goes back to readers loving unkind male leads and hating unkind female leads. Others have made the point that if Emory were a man, readers would have been all over her.

Knowing what I know now about how PD imagines their future, I’d say Damon and Emory probably don’t have the same friendship that I imagine them having. Still, I prefer to think of them this way.

I’ve found that a lot of people in the fandom have a variety of interesting thoughts and interpretations of the character’s actions. Even if I don’t agree with everything that’s said, I can usually find a point to appreciate. And I’ve enjoyed hearing their thoughts and hope that my replies haven’t annoyed too, too much.

So, I got 2 Anti-SE Asks (EXTREMELY LONG btw)

I blocked this anon because I'm pretty fatigued with DErs especially ones who think I haven't actually made my rebuttal to their points, which never change even if the language does, and I just end up repeating myself and I don't feel like going around and around but I will respond to some of this, not all of it because I've already made my posts and rebuttals to this, for my followers who are interested and who want to discuss this. Like I said, I very much rather talk to SErs instead of arguing with antis or "devil advocates", at least for now, that may change.

Anyway, here we go:

Part 1:

Don't you think an argument can be made that...

Season 4 is actually a masterwork of plot and theme and it's ability to express this plot and theme through the characters and various symbolism that takes place, with the physical Cure being the diversion to the actual Cure that was needed.

The Theme of Season 4 is all about change, denial of change, and then coming to accept that change, with Elena being the Central figure surrounding this. The entire season is about Truth and Truth being the actual cure for everything that is ailing everyone in the Season, not the actual physical cure. Of course that begins with Elena accepting the truth she had been hiding and didn't want to admit at the end of Season 3, her feelings for Damon and which brother she really loved.

Elena represents the Truth through out the entire Season. First in coming to accept her truth, she then starts telling everyone that they need to start to accept the truth and the change that has taking place. She is no longer in denial over her change, so it's time for everyone else to accept that.

Yet, we know Stefan can't accept that, he was told in three different ways that Elena's feelings for Damon were true. First, she flats out tells him to move on and that she's changed, he wants to accept that, but Caroline can't accept that truth. The sire bond matter is discovered and it reinforces Stefan's denial. Then he is flat out told how the sire bond works, that the person must have human feelings before they are turned, and being a vampire only heightens those emotions. He still doesn't accept that. Then Elena is compelled and tells him the truth about her feeling for him and for Damon, and he still can't accept that in his discussion with Rebekah later. Stefan's denial is strong in all of this.

On the flip side of that is Damon, who now doubts Elena's feelings due to the Sire bond. Yet, who is trying to convince him of the truth of that Elena. Elena is trying to convince Damon that everything she is feeling for his real and is true, the sire bond isn't affecting that at all.

Thus we have the search for the Physical Cure, that some how this is going to make everything better, that it's going to take everything back to the way it was somehow, before the change, so we don't have to accept this new reality before us that has taking place.

That brings us to the middle of the season and Elena's own denial moment over Jeremy's death and then she accepts the truth of this. We then get the symbolic scene of her burning her house down, that is a statement that there is no going back, everything has changed, that her human life is over, with the final statement of this her turning off her humanity. While the three of them are walking away, Damon and Elena are looking forward, Stefan is the only looking back to the past.

No Humanity Elena represents the simple fact that the Truth sometimes isn't pretty, and that it doesn't care about our feelings, that to live in denial is even worse and only delays the hurt, and the sooner we come to accept the truth, the better everyone will be in the end and happier. The Elena we saw when she admitted her love for Damon and the morning after having sex, before the Sire Bond came into play.

When she is fighting Caroline what does she say about Caroline that isn't true? Her butting into other peoples business, true. Her having dirty thoughts about Klaus, true. You can look at each thing she starts to say each person, Stefan concerning her feelings about him when she is undressing, true. The Truth can be a cold hard stoned bitch difficult to accept and even mean, but the Truth doesn't care. Hence Elena's character portrayal with no Humanity.

Of course turning her humanity back on does force her to face the reality that caused her to turn it off in the first place, and deal with those truths. Yet, with the removal of the sire bond as well, we finally reach the season finale were Stefan has to finally accept the truth and Damon can finally be happy knowing the truth. The cure didn't matter in the end, as we see her giving that to Katherine, she didn't really want it, she has accepted this change and is happy about it as well.

Edit: No Humanity Elena is even stating something she had stated before, she didn't want the Cure if it meant X, Y or Z. It was everyone else who thought she wanted or believe she wanted it.

would also be heightened.

You can't bring up the sire bond without the context surrounding the writing of the sire bond. How am I supposed to take the idea of Elena knowing “The Truth” about her love for Damon when the show ignored its own canon (i.e. Elena’s feelings would be heightened with Stefan) and she doesn’t even have emotional free will? The amount of narrative gymnastics this show had to do to put Damon and Elena together speaks to how weak their relationship is. Anon who said that they love when DErs use the sire bond as a defence for DE must have conjured this ask, lmfao.

Also, this whole idea about season 4 being THE season of change, as if no other season is about change 

is funny because this anon is correct that the house burning, Stefan looking back, Damon and Elena walking off together, the diary on fire is supposed to signify change, it’s very heavy, easily digestible symbolism, which I’ve already spoken about like years ago.

What’s funny is that nothing really changes, there is no “new reality”, and a lot of season 4 is about reversing what’s happened and succeeding

Elena may still be a vampire but the person she is, is still meant to be intact 

besides being a personality-less robot for Damon, how exactly does Elena change as a vampire? How exactly did her no humanity tenure change her perspective on things? Which again, I have spoken about

And again it’s hard for me to lean into this idea that season 4 is the season that we see the ugliness of truth when none of Elena’s “ugly” or dark actions are her actions because she chose them, because she feels inwardly different, because she is confronting something inside of herself when literally none of the things she did would’ve happened if the sire bond didn’t exist and Damon didn’t inadvertently make her do things

Like this whole thing is moot to me because the writing didn’t actually make Elena go there even if the dialogue likes to pretend that it did 

Elena: The pain's still there...the grief and the shame. But I get it now. Shutting it off-- it's a cheat. I mean, you put up this wall and shut out everything that makes you who you are. Nothing affects you, nothing matters. But things do matter,

because once again, Elena didn’t choose this

not to mention that this is a lesson she already learned in season 3 with Stefan’s help 

much like he helped her again in 4x21 and 4x22

And then bringing up Caroline and how she tells her things that she doesn’t want to hear, as if in no other season did the friends say things that were “The Truth”, things they didn’t want to talk about that went beyond finding immoral men attractive as an allegory for darkness that they themselves never show on their own

Like?? Nope. Not buying what you’re selling. Next!

Part 2:

Damon in season 1 is interesting. Let's start with just facts from Season 1. We know Damon knew about Elena as well, his visit to her at the graveyard in the Pilot, as well as the Crow flying into Bonnie's car Window. So, we can establish that he already knew Elena as well, just like Stefan. What we don't know is if Damon had been stalking Elena like Stefan was, it's never really established.

Now as you bring up concerning him trying to get Stefan to leave town over the Katherine situation and his love for Katherine, the main focus of course of early episodes his focus on Katherine and his love for her. So I won't go over what you already stated so well concerning that. Yet what I will bring up is Damon's early interactions with Elena.

What's important to note is that when Damon and Elena officially meet, what does he start telling her. He starts telling her bits of the truth concerning the brothers own history, he is in some cases being more honest with her than Stefan was, we see this trend continue as I have brought up. This leads us Episode 3 the dinner party and Elena and him talking in the kitchen. We see an interaction here early on of her trusting his advice about cheerleading and gaining a deep insight into her. While at the same her actually apologizing over Katherine, and Damon makes a face. The episode ends with him caressing her cheek. We could say that just like when at the End of Season 3 and we learn that they met first and she asks him what he wants, and he is shocked, the apology she offers we see shocks him the same way. I would say this is the episode that he starts to fall for her while still being in love with Katherine.

Now all of this is somewhat conjecture, and the next point, is one that is plausible. This brings us to the Bonnie quote I brought up as foreshadowing. He tells Caroline this, who eventually tells Bonnie, who eventually tells Elena. It actually could be his way of trying to protect Elena and warn her about Stefan and how he is actually manipulating her. Who would know better what is taking place right now than Damon, who has experienced it all first hand? That not only is he trying to get Stefan to leave so he can get Katherine out, but also to protect Elena from Stefan in some cases, knowing what and who he is, as you bring up later with his concern over Stefan during the Miss Mystic Event. Now, I will be the first to admit, that this is probably not the case, but it's an interesting thing to consider the possibility at least.

We know that Damon eventually protects both Elena and Stefan to a certain degree. We know that he protects his brother's image as you bring up about not telling Elena about the ripper business. We see this at the end of Season 1, when Stefan gives him the jealousy talk, and he states nothing worth repeating. He doesn't bad mouth Stefan to her, or reveal his bad actions to her like when he is with Klaus or the Twister matter, even though he could use it to his advantage. Now, back at the beginning he does reveal aspects of the past as mentioned, being honest and truthful with half truths concerning their own history. Yet, even though he knows Stefan, it's not his place to reveal Stefan's secrets, that is for Stefan to be honest about, which he never is really as she continues to discover Stefan's secret's on her own, like how he killed Jonathan Gilbert.

Now one of the important matters that some I don't think come to realize is that when it comes down to her choice. It is by this point in time not about who the good or bad brother was, simply put if she could forgive Stefan for what he did and see past Stefan's bad, she could easily also forgive Damon, and see past his own bad. It really did boil down to who she loved more in the end finally, which she is forced to face the truth about that in Season 4.

One of the most important aspects also of Elena's and Damon's relationship is just how often she was able to gain insight into Damon, and we also see what you mention about Damon being irredeemable and what I feel is one of the manipulation tactics.

Elena: You know...I really think that Damon believes that everything he's done, every move that he's made, he's done for love. It's twisted, but kind of sad.

Stefan: There are other ways to get what you want. You don't have to kill people. Damon has no regard for human life. He enjoys inflicting pain on others. For 145 years, every single time that I have let my guard down and let Damon back into my life, he's done something to make me regret that. I'm not going to make that mistake again.

Elena: So what do you think will happen if the tomb gets opened and Damon gets Katherine back?

Stefan: I think that no matter what Damon promises, a lot of people will die.

At the start of Season 2 two times in the episdoe, we see her gain further insight into Damon as well. What's important to note, is do we see Elena actually gaining such deep insights concerning Stefan?

Elena: We should be able to talk about this. Damon, we're close enough now. I really want to know how you are doing.

Damon: I kissed you; I thought you kissed me back. Doppelgänger hijinks ensued. How do you think I'm doing?

Elena: I think that you're hurt.

Damon: No, I don't get hurt, Elena.

Elena: No, you don't admit that you get hurt. You get angry and cover it up and then you do something stupid.

Elena: There's nothing good about him. Stefan, not anymore. He's decided what he wants. He doesn't want to feel, he wants to be hated, it's just easier that way. He got his wish.

Yet, why was Elena able to gain deeper insights into Damon than she was with Stefan. Damon was more open and honest with who he was, what he was, and he didn't pretend to be something he wasn't. He accepted who he was and what he was and actually had a certain amount of self-love for himself. It's what lets him be more truthful and honest with Elena, and it goes back to one thing, Damon is real, referring back to the first road trip and the necklace even.

On the slip side, Stefan was cagey, kept things hidden from her, was more closed off, all part of his false image aspect he was doing. She thought she knew him, but all she knew was the false image he had been portraying for her, to appear as the good brother. Stefan is fake.

Now, this plays an even bigger role as to who was selfless and who wasn't. We know Damon can do good, but he doesn't parade it own or even announce it, because he doesn't need to do so to improve his own self image. He does good and knows he does good, no fan fair is needed. Stefan on the other hands, to maintain his false image, and to feel good about himself does need to announce it to others. He needs others to notice his good, to think of him as good, and to see him do his good actions and praise him for it as well. We actually see Stefan project what he is doing onto Damon:

Stefan: Well, see Damon, it's only real when it comes from your desire to do the right thing for nothing in return, and I know that it is an entirely foreign concept to you. I completely understand that you wouldn't get it.

We see this dynamic play out in Season 4 when Elena goes to be with Damon. The good guy persona that Stefan had been putting on completely shatters, as the false fantasy world he was trying to create for himself since the start, shatters with it. He becomes a complete dick, or in Narc Terms, he goes crazy with Narcissistic Rage, and his on going denial of reality, thinking of only one thing, or as Damon even puts it, to get her back under his spell and control and her Team Stefan settings.

I’m not going to go point by point because it’s all just so fucking ridiculous, the idea of Stefan and the fucking false image is driving me up the wall because DErs can create nonexistent nuance for Damon, for instance in this ask, while this anon talks about conjecture, they still wax poetic about Damon trying to protect Elena from Stefan 

while blatantly ignoring the context, which is to drive a wedge between the two of them because he wants to fuck with Stefan’s happiness, 

it literally has nothing to do with protecting Elena, the same girl he faux-bit in a nightmare he put in Stefan’s head for shits and giggles after 1x03 

he also purposefully makes it seem like Stefan is holding a torch for Katherine to make Elena insecure 

(I’m guessing a counterpoint to this will be that it’s still very current for Damon and that’s why he was speaking about it in that way, but Stefan is not Damon)

anyway, so they can ignore that but balk at the nuance that is canon for Stefan and it would be hilarious if it wasn’t so tiring, because what it boils down to, is that DErs say Stefan pretends to be someone he isn’t, that he works to uphold a false heroic image and they say that because he consistently strives to do better. Damon will enact violence towards Elena, he will kill people and he will be like yeah, that’s what I do, so to them, he’s honest. Stefan has the capacity to do dark things, which he’s never denied, but he doesn’t want to be the person who does dark things, he doesn’t kill people and go yep, that’s me, he consistently works to better himself and encourages other people to better themselves too and because he doesn’t just allow himself to be consumed by his darkness, to them, he’s not honest. That logic is batshit, I have a whole section in the masterlist dedicated to delineating why that’s batshit, I’m not doing it again

Plus, if he has moments where he’s cranky or understandably upset, he’s a narcissistic asshole, if he’s stoic he’s judgmental and sanctimonious, just say you hate Stefan and leave me the fuck out of it. 

What I will say about the rest of it is that it takes some kind of audacity to suggest that Elena doesn’t gain deeper insight into Stefan. And this also ties into the stubborn and ridiculous belief that you can’t have a build-up within a relationship.

Next to the fact that Stefan and Elena emotionally bond offscreen

Next to the fact that they clearly recognize kindred spirits in one another

Next to the fact that when Elena wants to know more about him, he tells her the small things -- the small things that make up big things -- like his interests

Elena also learns about Stefan through action.

She learns that he’s the type of person who steps into a fight

Even their conversation in 1x03 reveals to her Stefan’s approach to life. 

When she does quit the cheerleading team, she still has mixed feelings about it, she calls herself a quitter, which has a negative connotation but Stefan’s response makes her feel better and also teaches her something about him.

The development between Stefan and Elena, the fact that Stefan is one who starts the show closed-off and tight-lipped, afraid to feel but is reawakened with Elena

 hence these quotes:

Julie says TVD’s premise was the girl that loses parents, feels dead inside, meets undead boy, they bring each other to life. “You want to be able to say ‘This is a show about this thing’ and at end of show, you have to set up how that will work again and again.” 

 is severely, severely underrated.

Also the idea that Elena can forgive Stefan for the sins he committed over a century ago because she sees the way he lives now

means that she can forgive Damon for being a current, active and consistent terror to her friends and family, with humanity, without humanity, under compulsion, not under compulsion, sirened, unsirened, all is fair in the Damon-hurts-everyone-around-him game

is a false equivalence if I ever fucking saw one.

this really took a while because… i was going to stop at the first half but i wanted to consider Bonnie’s perspective (: and then it got a lil spicy and i was like *sigh* why must you always take it there? but i mean- 👁- i always take it there because we were robbed!!! Damon is practically a self proclaimed sex god and i hate how they separated Bonnie from her sexuality, or really any form of intimacy for sooo long. and the scraps we got were NEVER enough. okay anyways yeah i’m finally done, like let’s get into it.

Damon notices that Bonnie touches him sparingly and really not because she wants to but because it happens accidentally every now and then, one of the perks about frequently invading her space.

Being stuck on the other side, there is less room for her and more for him, she’s in his world now which means it’s his duty to make her feel as uncomfortably comfortable as possible.

He notices everything; how her cheeks turn red when their knuckles brush against one another’s, how she takes in an exasperated little breath when their shoulders touch, how she rolls her eyes when he stands entirely too close. Damon hangs on to these moments because this may be his only form of female contact he’ll receive for a very, very, long time.

That is the only reason he hangs on.

Anytime she touches him intentionally, he feels a pride swell deep in his chest that he’s liked by Bonnie after a rocky road of ups and downs, fussing and fighting, he is finally deemed worthy enough for her to care about him even if it’s brief, even if it’s the smallest skin to skin contact imaginable.

And yes, he cares because if he has to spend the rest of eternity with one person, they might as well get along.

Movie night comes around so he rests his head in her lap, testing the waters, to see how she will respond to him. He senses her tense up a bit as predicted, but then she relaxes into it breath by breath like she’s doing a tricky yoga pose.

Bonnie’s body lotion makes her skin smell edible- cocoa and honey- she’ll never know but that’s why he nicknames her Bon Bon, she always smells good enough to eat. At this point, Damon can’t recall the VHS movie on the block of a television, his focus has been robbed by Bonnie and this new form of contact she allows him to try. Half of his smile sinks into the cotton of her leggings.

Her eyes never leave the screen when she laces her fingers through his hair, nails surfing through tufts of raven-black and the gesture is so shocking and embarrassingly arousing that a strangled groan gets trapped in his throat.

She panics, and he can tell by the change in her heart rate before saying. “Did I hurt you?” He has to clear his throat to speak.

“Hmmm mm, feels good,” he mumbles feigning casual so she can’t realize how he needs this so so bad that he’s fearful of it being taken away. In his mind he thinks about what if.

What if she wakes up and decides she doesn’t want to tap dance on the line between what is and isn’t acceptable for two best friends. What if she remembers that he’s actually a terrible person who has done horrendous things to her and everyone she’s ever loved.

She shouldn’t like him or try not to laugh at his jokes. Not at all. Bonnie should’ve killed him a long, long time ago because if anyone could do it, it’d be her. He can see her now, all badass and angry with a wooden stake in her hand, vengeance in her eyes, the very last thing he’d see before his lights went out forever.

Damon finds himself thinking so intensely lately that he checks the mirror more often than not to make sure he has no brooding lines like his little brother. Stefan’s expansive forehead has the room for it, his perfectly shaped forehead does not.

She laces her fingers back through his hair again and his eyes flutter, that’s how good it feels. It’s sensational. And while he’s had his hair pulled in and out of the bedroom, the innocence of her touch makes him want to melt. He finds his lids growing heavier, like how they used to do a century-and-a-half ago when he was human.

Running through dandelion fields in the overbearing Virginia heat, the sun up above sending heavy gusts of sunshine beams, a moment he considers to be oppressive now, used to be magical then- miraculous -and despite sweating through his britches and overcoat he never cared enough to stop running through the fields. The sun was the greatest thing all those years ago, back when white was his favorite color.

And after drawing a long, hot bath, he’d sink deep into the water while the bubbles floated to the top. Damon would close his eyes, hold his breath, see if he could break his prior record. Then he’d get out and the sleep would welcome him like any drowsy being, with open arms. And there he’d fall.

Bonnie has that affect on him. She makes him think of home, his past, when times were simpler and he was human.

He feels that exhausted sometimes, a boy who’s never stopped running through dandelion fields, whether it snows or rains or burns him alive. Her fingernails rake through his scalp- orange leaves on browning grass. Ruining Stefan’s piles for the fun of it. His lids droop. Tired of being consumed by himself, by Bonnie, he admits defeat this time. When he finally drifts off, he remembers that the Virginia heat gave him this same warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

“You really don’t know how good this feels,” his final words are hoarse before he drifts off but the last thing he sees is Bonnie.

Bonnie refuses to relish in the magic of the moment, the fact that it’s so rare Damon ever completely lets his guard down around her. She can always feel his eyes on her, constantly watching because Damon has a presence that’s inescapable.

Being so close to him when he’s extremely vulnerable makes her realize that in all facets, he’s stunning. A stunning that’s almost suffocating but with the dynamic they possess, he only needs to know that he’s not that much of an eye sore.

Now, she stares with wide eyes while she can, memorizes the smooth expanse of skin, every strand of dark hair. Relishes in the feel of his arms around her waist, the weight of his head in her lap. It’s been a long time since she’s felt a body besides her own and as much as she likes to ignore the fact, she has needs, needs that have swelled from being in the presence of Damon for too long.

He’s sexy without any effort, she examines. His dark t-shirt has risen and his pants are low enough that she observes the waistline of (silk?) boxers, taut muscle, navel, happy trail, yeah. Bonnie drinks him in like a cool glass of milk before bedtime- never has this much pretty been in her lap before. Her hands find their way in his head again, tousles through and he nuzzles up against her in his sleep. It’s difficult to pull her eyes away from him, but when she does, the credits are rolling on the screen.

This is Damon she’s thinking about like this, her best friend and also her first best friend’s boyfriend. She repeats it again, not satisfied that the guilt isn’t drowning her like it sometimes does when she catches herself lingering on his attractiveness for too long but Mystic Falls, the real Mystic Falls seems so far away. Elena, Caroline, Matt, Alaric, her old life just seems unattainable, no bigger than a memory she occasionally mistakes for a bad dream.

There’s no denying that being away from it all, here with Damon as the only other person in the world, she feels…safe. Maybe even protected, it’s a stark contrast from the real Mystic Falls where her life is always on the line.

Bonnie starts to get up when she feels his hold on her tighten to prevent her from moving away. They play tug of war for a bit but she eventually stops fighting because Damon is a vampire after all, physical strength is going to get her nowhere. “Fine,” she grumbles, then plops down which causes the end of her top to ride up enough that she can feel the press of Damon’s nose on the curve of her waist. Despite trying to inch her shirt back down, she has no luck. Naturally Damon doesn’t mind.

He inhales her skin deeply, makes a sound of approval before groggily muttering, “Going topless now, are we Judgey?”

She grabs his hair again, yanks his head back as a rebuttal, and Damon bites his tongue so hard that it bleeds. He has to ensure that all of the blood in his body isn’t rushing south too fast but unfortunately, he would have to sever both his arms completely off to stop the blood flow.

Bonnie realizes the dazed look in his eyes isn’t one of pain nor is it from sleep, “Not the reaction you expected, huh?” He asks, gesturing for her to look down but she doesn’t, she can’t. She’s embarrassed, and to make matters worse, a teensy bit turned on.

“You scared, Bon Bon? I thought you were big and bad,” Damon mocks, pulling between his legs to make more room in his jeans, “it’s okay. I know Jeremy left much to be desired.” He sits up with swirls of longing still in his eyes, then grabs a pillow to place in his lap.

“Scared?” She guffaws. “Of what exactly?”

“Me…You.”

“And that means?”

“You’re a smart girl, Bon, figure it out.” Damon taunts, holding her eyes with his. “It’s awfully lonely here.”

She says nothing for a while, refusing to break eye contact first. “So.”

“Soooo, I won’t tell if you won’t.” It’s almost a joke, almost because she has a feeling if she says yes to whatever sort of ambiguous proposal he’s thrown up in the air, there won’t be any laughter. If she says no, it’s no different from his usual innuendos but boy, will she wonder.

“Wanna take a walk on the wild side?” He asks in a singsong tone, eyes dropping to her lips then back up to her eyes.

There are no alarms, no cell phones, no one here that can interrupt this moment. She has to answer, though she has no idea what will come out of her mouth. Bonnie shuts her eyes to make the moment less real, as if it will change the fact that she whispers, “Just one kiss,”

They’re nose to nose when Damon whispers back, “a peck.”

She swallows his breath. “Mhmm,”

“It’s nothing,”

“Nothing.”

“As light as air,” he presses his lips to hers for a brief moment then pulls back again. “See.” He peppers more kisses on her lips, down her jaw, the side of her neck, but they’re heavier. They have a density now. His tongue is on the flesh of her shoulder, teasing up her neck. She feels the light imprint of sharp canines, arousal surges through her like a power circuit, so intense that she moans. When he makes his way back up, their mouths both open in a feral kiss that robs them of air.

Bonnie holds his face in place though he makes no attempt to move away. The pillow falls out from between them when he grabs Bonnie’s leg to straddle him.

It’s nothing.

Nothing separating them from attacking each other’s mouths, nothing stopping Damon from gripping his best friend’s hips, nothing saving Bonnie from discarding his shirt.

His skin is cool enough that she can stream together some thought in between relentless kisses. “Damon,” she tries her best to sound admonishing.

“Please, not right now.” Damon cuffs both her wrists behind her with one hand and plants a hickey just above her cleavage. She sees stars. He already knows what the inflection in her voice means- the timing couldn’t be worse.“Let’s save the guilt for tomorrow morning.” His tone is octaves lower, almost as low as his lids. He drags his eyes up to hers, and they’re so shiny she can see her reflection. “I need this, Bonnie. Don’t you?”

He doesn’t bother waiting for a response, just continues on with his ministrations, hypnotized by the pheromones seeping off of her in waves, wanting to memorize the scent with his tongue. She whines his name, like actually whines his name, and the feeling that sits in the pit of his stomach scares him. Bonnie is so oblivious to the appeal she carries but if she sat in his skin for a day, hell, for a moment, she would realize just how long she’s been driving him insane.

“We can’t,” she groans weakly. “We can’t.”

Damon tries to breathe easier, but that feeling is lurking in his gut. She’s right. The things he’d do to her, he’d break her in half. He removes Bonnie from his lap, separates from her warmth, her scent. Backs away until the tv threatens to fall off the stand. Everything in him tells him to go back, to reenter the magnetic pull, to poke at her forcefield.

He backs away even further if possible. Her breath catches at the distance.

Bonnie’s cheeks are flushed, warm and red like fruit. If she was an apple, she would have already been eaten down to the core. If she was a peach, it would be easier to explain why he ate her. He thinks to himself that he’s officially off the rails, comparing Bonnie to fruit like he is, but he’s trying to rationalize his irrationality. Because if Bonnie never stopped him, he’d definitely be eating something by now.

“Nothing happened.” She says, ignoring his expression and the silent plea in his eyes.

“Nothing.” He deadpans, throwing his shirt back over his head.

Damon thinks of how different things would be if he had his way. Bonnie, spent, drunk, high off of him. Bleeding and wild, pretty and dangerous, yelling for God. He would plunge Jeremy right out of her, help her find her magic again. Give her everything she could dream of. He gulps.

She doesn’t sleep with him tonight, not in the same bed. She’s on the opposite end of the boarding house when he hears her slide under the covers.

The next morning, he thinks to himself, if she even utters a word about last night, he’ll pick up from where he left off. But she doesn’t, her eyes are far away again, and the only proof he has of their adventures is the wonderful, purple hickey.

When movie night comes back around, his head is in her lap and her hand is back in his hair, running to and fro like him in his lavender fields.

That’s all he gets.

Every now and then, it’s enough.

Bonnie gives and takes, then takes away some more.

She’s the closest thing to God he’ll probably ever know.

Cold Katherine Pierce x Reader

You just wanted one day free from all the vampire, witch and doppelganger drama. One freaking day is all you asked for and Damon couldn't even give you that. Although you partially blamed yourself for not accepting Rebekah's invitation to come to New Orleans for. A while to get away from all the drama you turned her down because of fear of getting involved with Originals problems. But at least you wouldn't be babysitting someone you hated with a passion.

Keeping Katherine Pierce away from Silas was supposed to Jeremy and Matt's problem. But unfortunately you stumbled upon her first, and when you called Damon to figure out. What to do with her he proceeded to beg you to keep her with you. Because he trusted you to keep her safe and in check way more than he did the other boys. Alas that's how you ended up here camping in the middle of nowhere with the she-devil. Katherine glared as she watched you throw more wood in the fire to keep it going. "Don't stare to hard your eyes might get stuck" you said not looking up at her.

"Why are we even out here just take me back to Mystic Falls. I'll stay with the boys" she said. That was her first time speaking since you picked her up. You scoffed "Oh believe I wish I could but none of the boys are available right this minute. Plus none of them want anything to do with you." Both Jeremy and Matt shot you a thank you text for taking her off their hands. You sent them a fuck you reply naturally. "Well can we at least go back to town" Katherine demanded."

"No everyone is looking for you plus I don't trust you not to run."

"Oh please you would love it if I escaped then you would finally be-" And my friends lives would be in even more danger and it would be my fault" You said cutting her off. "Listen we're just stuck with each other right now so I really need you to suck it up and be quiet." Katherine looked as if she wanted to argue but you stared her down. Until she looked away and just nodded. It's not that she was scared of you but she was human now and stuck in the middle of nowhere. You hid the car keys from her so she couldn't play you. Katherine was still getting use to being human, and surviving wilderness wasn't a challenge. She was ready to tackle yet plus deep down she knew you were right. Even if she did get away the whole town was looking for her to sacrifice her to Silas.

You were one of the hybrids that survived Klaus's tyranny and got your freedom back. If there was anybody equipped to keep her safe it was you. The two of you sat in silence for a long time. Eventually you laid down using your bag as a pillow deciding that Katherine wasn't going to make a run for it. So you wanted to get some sleep but the sound of chattering teeth interrupted your slumber. You turned over to check on the doppelganger and instantly felt sorry for her. She had her arms wrapped around her body hugging herself while rubbing her arms. Her entire body was quaking when she caught you looking. Katherine immediately tried to get the shivering under control and the teeth chattering stopped.

There use to be a time when Katherine didn't mind being vulnerable around you. A time where you and her actually got along with each other. Back when you were friends and almost lovers till you found out that she was just using you. Because that's all she did was use people for her own personal gain. At least that's what you thought in all truth Katherine really did care about you. And once she realized how much you meant to her the whole plan changed. She hoped you never found out the truth but alas you did courtesy of Klaus. Who wanted to cause her as much pain as possible for always escaping him.

Once she realized there was no getting you to forgive her. Katherine just decided to treat you like you never mattered at all. But when you were this close to her looking at her like she just a lost soul who needed a friend. It was hard to think of you as someone who didn’t matter. "You don't have a jacket" you said aloud. It wasn't a question but Katherine still nodded her head. You let out a sigh and then vanished speeding away to the car. You were back at the campsite in a matter of seconds with a blanket tossing it at her.

She managed to catch it and quickly wrapped it around her. Sighing at the warmth it provided her eyes watched you proceed to lay back with your back to her. "It's still cold out here how are you not freezing. Last time I checked werewolves weren't immune to the weather like Twilight."

You snorted "I'm surprised you even know what Twilight is when did you even have time to watch it."

"You forced me to watch it one night when you were drunk. I read the books afterwards to see if they were any better" she replied quietly.

You turned over to see her staring at you with an emotion in her eyes that you couldn't place. Pain, love, regret maybe a mixture of all three. Either way it made your heart skip a beat, and before you knew what you were doing. You were walking over to her to join her on the log. "Since you're so concerned about my well-being. You're sharing the blanket now shove over and let me sleep." With a hint of a smile Katherine distributed the blanket between the two of you. She was forced to lay down with you but she didn't really mind. "You know this doesn't change anything between us" you murmured already half asleep. "I know" she whispered back staring at the sky. A few minutes later she felt weight on her shoulder. She didn't need to look to know you had somehow ended up cuddling up to her in your sleep.

She looked at you because she liked to watch you sleep sometimes. It reminded of how innocent you use to be before she came into your world. A time before you became so cold to her. Katherine really wished she could go back to those days.
